The hotels near Daytona International Speedway that put you closest to the track are the two at ONE DAYTONA, The DAYTONA and the Fairfield Inn & Suites, plus a cluster of Hilton and Marriott hotels on Bill France Boulevard, Richard Petty Boulevard and Fentress Boulevard. All seven picks here are within about a 5- to 12-minute walk of a Speedway gate, so you can leave the car parked on race day.
The Speedway is at 1801 W International Speedway Blvd in Daytona Beach, about 5 miles inland from the Main Street Pier and roughly 62 miles from Universal Orlando. Rooms near the track fill first for the DAYTONA 500, the Rolex 24 and Bike Week, and parking rules change on event weekends.
Below: what each hotel includes, the official 2027 event dates, Speedway parking, and beach drive times.
Quick answer: Book The DAYTONA, Autograph Collection for a boutique stay with Speedway-facing balconies, or the nearby Fairfield Inn & Suites for free hot breakfast and free parking at ONE DAYTONA. Home2 Suites by Hilton sits just across International Speedway Boulevard from the track, off I-95, and has kitchens in every suite. Homewood Suites adds suites with free breakfast and parking, while the Hampton Inn is a simple base with free hot breakfast on the main road to the track.

How we chose these Speedway hotels
We started with the Speedway’s official hotels page, which names the two ONE DAYTONA hotels as its official hotel partners. Then we added the closest branded hotels by walking distance. We measured walking and driving routes with OpenStreetMap-based routing (OSRM) to the nearest Speedway gate and rounded them. We checked fees, parking, breakfast and pet rules on each hotel’s own website.
Hilton and Marriott block automated visits to many hotel pages, so for six hotels we used archived copies of the official pages from late 2025 to mid-2026, marked “at last check.” We didn’t stay at these hotels, and we don’t publish scores or fixed prices.

The DAYTONA is the showpiece of ONE DAYTONA, the shopping and dining district at 1870 Victory Circle, directly across International Speedway Boulevard from the track. The Speedway lists it as an official hotel partner. It has 144 rooms and suites with racing-themed decor, and vintage race cars line The Grid lobby on the second floor.
You can pick a king or two-queen room with a balcony facing the Speedway, or a king one-bedroom suite with a separate living room and sofa bed. Blue Flame, the car-themed restaurant and bar, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner over Victory Circle, and room service is available. Outside there’s a resort-style pool with cabanas, a hot tub and a fire pit, plus a fitness center.
- Why stay: The closest thing to a trackside boutique hotel, with balconies facing the Speedway and ONE DAYTONA’s restaurants at the door.
- Getting there / to the track: About 0.3 mile, or 6 minutes on foot, to the nearest Speedway gate by our routing; the hotel says the track is half a mile away. The hotel’s FAQ says it no longer runs an airport or local shuttle, though its home page still mentions one, so confirm.
- Good to know: At the time of writing, a $28 daily destination fee covers parking, a $15 daily food and drink credit at Blue Flame, a welcome cocktail for two, bike rentals, beach chairs and coolers, and enhanced Wi-Fi. Rooms have mini-fridges and Nespresso coffee makers. The hotel’s site doesn’t state a pet policy, so ask before you book.

The Speedway also runs daily guided track tours, listed from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the time of writing.
Speedway parking, shuttles and rideshare
If you stay at one of these seven hotels, you can usually walk. From the ONE DAYTONA pair, Home2 and Homewood you’ll cross International Speedway Boulevard, a busy multi-lane road; the other three sit on the track’s side, near Turn 4. Use marked crosswalks and follow event traffic officers.
If you drive, the Speedway’s FAQ says free parking is available for most events, but lots vary by event. Its directions page lists free general parking in Lots 7 and 8, with a shuttle from Lot 7 (at Clyde Morris Blvd and Jimmy Ann Dr) to ONE DAYTONA. Paid Lots 1, 3, 4 and 8 are closest to the track, and some are sold in advance. Reserved ADA parking is in Lots 1 and 4, and motorcycles have a dedicated paid lot, 4A.
Rideshare pick-up and drop-off is near Lot 1, off the frontage street by the Cracker Barrel on eastbound International Speedway Blvd. After the race, the Speedway asks you to be patient in the lots and keep your navigation app open, since some routes close for traffic control.
One packing tip from the Speedway’s FAQ: you may bring sealed, pre-packaged food and drinks in one soft-sided cooler up to 14 x 14 x 14 inches, with no glass, and up to two bags per person no larger than 18 x 18 x 14 inches.
Staying on the beach instead
If you’d rather wake up to the ocean, the beachfront hotels around the Main Street Pier are only about 5 miles from the Speedway. Those drive times stretch on race mornings, so leave early. Here are road distances from the Speedway’s frontstretch, without traffic.
| From the Speedway to | Road distance | Drive time |
|---|---|---|
| Main Street Pier | About 5 miles | About 10 minutes |
| Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort | About 5 miles | About 11 minutes |
| Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach | About 6 miles | About 13 minutes |
| Flagler Avenue, New Smyrna Beach | About 21 miles | About 30 minutes |
| Orlando Sanford International Airport | About 40 miles | About 55 minutes |
| Universal Orlando | About 62 miles | About 1 hr 20 min |
| Orlando International Airport | About 65 miles | About 1 hr 30 min |
| Disney Springs | About 69 miles | About 1 hr 30 min |
For oceanfront picks with verified fees, see our guide to the best hotels in Daytona Beach. If you want a quieter, low-rise beach town, compare the best hotels in New Smyrna Beach, and for beach parking and drive times from the parks, read our guide to beaches near Orlando.
Driving to the Speedway from Orlando
From Universal Orlando and the International Drive area, the route is essentially I-4 east all the way to Daytona Beach, about 62 miles. From Orlando International Airport, routing usually picks up SR 436 and the SR 408 toll road before joining I-4, so check our guide to Orlando toll roads and rental-car toll options before you pick up your car.
If you fly into Orlando Sanford, you’re only about 40 miles from the track; our list of hotels near Orlando Sanford Airport helps if you land late. Blue Spring State Park in Orange City is a short detour off I-4 on the way, and our picks for hotels near Blue Spring State Park cover that stop. Adding Disney or Universal? Our guide to where to stay in Orlando compares the main areas for the park part of your trip.
How to choose a hotel near the Speedway
Walk or drive on race day?
Every hotel here is walkable, but the ONE DAYTONA pair and Home2 Suites are the shortest walks. If you’ll drive during your stay, check parking rules: Home2 listed no in-and-out privileges, and several hotels ban trailers.
Count the extras, not just the room rate
The Fairfield and Homewood included breakfast and parking at our last check. Home2, the Hampton Inn, the Hilton Garden Inn and Residence Inn listed $5 a day for parking, and The DAYTONA’s $28 daily fee includes parking and a $15 food and drink credit. Compare the total with taxes and fees for your dates.
Bringing a pet or a group
Homewood, Home2, Hampton and the Hilton Garden Inn accept up to two dogs or cats for a one-time fee, Residence Inn charges $100 per stay, and the Fairfield doesn’t allow pets. Groups do best in the Residence Inn’s two-bedroom suites.
