Orlando hotels with shuttle to Universal and Disney are rarer than most planners expect: only a few, such as Rosen Inn Lake Buena Vista, Ramada by Wyndham Kissimmee Gateway and Hilton Orlando, run buses to both resorts, and even those rarely cover every park. Universal’s free hotel buses serve only Universal parks and Disney’s buses serve only Walt Disney World, so a free two-resort shuttle comes from an independent off-site hotel. (Universal can book a separate transfer to Disney for its hotel guests with 72 hours’ notice.)

1. Rosen Inn Lake Buena Vista
This 640-room budget hotel at 8442 Palm Parkway, a Walt Disney World Good Neighbor Hotel, sits about 2 miles from Disney and 9 miles from Universal. Its free shuttles cover Universal, Epic Universe and three Disney stops (EPCOT, Hollywood Studios and Disney Springs, run by Platinum Transportation). Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom were not on the schedule when we checked.
- Why stay: No resort fee, $10-per-night parking (tax included, $50 maximum per stay), two seasonally heated pools, a kids’ splash pad, a playground and an arcade.
- Getting to the parks: At the time of writing, Universal and Epic Universe buses leave at 7:05 and 11:15 a.m., with evening returns. EPCOT leaves at 10:35 a.m. and returns at 10:15 p.m. Hollywood Studios has two morning runs (9:25 and 11:30 a.m.) but a single 4:15 p.m. return, so plan a short day or a rideshare back. Seats are first-come, first-served; show your room key to the driver.
- Good to know: Breakfast isn’t included, and the on-site buffet runs Kids Eat Free for one child 5 and under per paying adult. SeaWorld needs private transport arranged at the front desk.
Best for: Budget travelers mixing EPCOT and Hollywood Studios with Universal and Epic Universe, without a car.
2. Ramada by Wyndham Kissimmee Gateway
This 500-room hotel on West US 192, about a mile from Walt Disney World, advertises complimentary scheduled shuttles to the Disney theme parks, Universal Orlando, Epic Universe, SeaWorld and nearby shopping. Our Ramada by Wyndham Kissimmee Gateway guide has room and dining details.
- Why stay: Shuttles to both resorts, free parking listed on the amenities page and two outdoor pools.
- Getting to the parks: The hotel puts Animal Kingdom 3 miles away and Magic Kingdom 6, but Universal and Epic Universe are about 15 miles by road, so that run is a long ride. The schedule is not published online; ask at the front desk on arrival and reserve early.
- Good to know: The breakfast buffet is paid; free breakfast applies only to Tower rooms booked on the hotel’s own website, not Booking.com. The official site doesn’t mention a resort fee, but third-party booking sites list one (about $18 plus tax per night at the time of writing), so confirm the total at booking.
Best for: Disney-first families on a budget adding one or two Universal days.

3. Hilton Orlando
Hilton Orlando, at 6001 Destination Parkway near the Convention Center, SeaWorld and Epic Universe, is a Universal and SeaWorld Partner Hotel. The hotel runs scheduled shuttles to Magic Kingdom and EPCOT (covered by the daily resort charge, currently $47 plus tax per night) and complimentary shuttles to the Universal parks; both require advance reservations, so check current terms before you book.
- Why stay: Two pools, a lazy river, a waterslide, a kids’ Splash Zone, cabanas and fire pits.
- Getting to the parks: Book Universal seats at the lobby’s Universal Vacation Planning Desk. The hotel promises “all three Universal theme parks” without naming Epic Universe, so confirm Epic runs. Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios are not on the Disney route.
- Good to know: The resort charge also covers Wi-Fi, a 15% dining discount and two I-Ride Trolley passes. Self-parking is $38 plus tax per night at the time of writing.
Best for: Families who want resort pools, Universal days and Magic Kingdom or EPCOT.
4. Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando
Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando is a budget Universal Partner Hotel at 9000 International Drive, near Pointe Orlando. Its free shuttle serves Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, CityWalk, Volcano Bay and Epic Universe. Disney goes through Fabulous Buses, a third-party company charging $15 per guest round trip at the time of writing.
- Why stay: No resort fee, $10-per-night parking ($50 maximum), three pools and a Kids Eat Free buffet.
- Getting to the parks: Three morning departures each to Universal (8:10 to 11:50 a.m.) and Epic Universe (7:20 to 11:05 a.m.), with four evening returns until about 9 p.m. Reserve in person at the Universal Partner Hotel Vacation Planning Center up to 24 hours ahead; seats are limited.
- Good to know: The paid Disney bus runs only to Magic Kingdom (7:25 a.m.) and EPCOT (10:15 a.m.) at the time of writing. It boards curbside at I-Ride Trolley Stop 18 with no lobby announcement, so be at the stop 10 minutes early.
Best for: Budget Universal trips with a few paid Disney days.
5. Rosen Inn International
At 7600 International Drive, this Universal Partner Hotel has one of the fuller free schedules among off-site hotels: four morning departures to Universal (7:45 to 11:15 a.m.) and four to Epic Universe (7:15 to 11:30 a.m.), with four evening returns on each route. Disney is reached by Fabulous Buses for a fee.
- Why stay: No resort fee, $10-per-night parking ($50 maximum), two seasonally heated outdoor pools plus a children’s wading pool, and Kids Eat Free for children 5 and under.
- Getting to the parks: Reservations are required; book at the Guest Services/Attractions Desk in the lobby.
- Good to know: Rooms have two double beds (not queens) or one king, which matters if four of you share.
Best for: Universal-heavy budget trips that want flexible morning start times.
6. Rosen Shingle Creek
Rosen Shingle Creek is a large Universal Partner resort at 9939 Universal Boulevard. The catch: departures are limited. At the time of writing there were three morning departures to the original Universal parks (7:35, 9:05 and 11:25 a.m.) and three to Epic Universe (8:15, 9:45 a.m. and 12:10 p.m.), with four evening returns on each route, the last leaving about 9:35 p.m. from the original parks and 9:10 p.m. from Epic Universe. Miss them and you pay for a ride.
- Why stay: Four seasonally heated pools, the Shingle Creek Golf Club and a spa, with no resort fee.
- Getting to the parks: Reserve in person at the Universal Vacation Planning Desk. EPCOT and Magic Kingdom are served by Fabulous Buses for a fee.
- Good to know: Self-parking is $36 plus tax per night at the time of writing, which erases the no-resort-fee savings if you drive.
Best for: Couples and families who want a full resort and start park days early.
7. Universal Endless Summer Resort – Dockside Inn and Suites
Dockside is Universal’s value-tier hotel near Volcano Bay, with a twin next door, Surfside Inn and Suites. Complimentary buses run about every 15 minutes to the CityWalk hub, a short walk from Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, and also serve Epic Universe and Volcano Bay. There is no walking path to the parks and no free Disney bus.
- Why stay: 2-bedroom suites that sleep up to 6, two large pools, a splash pad, a sand beach area and a food court.
- Getting to the parks: Allow about 10 to 20 minutes for the bus ride.
- Good to know: You get Early Park Admission, which opens select attractions (often including Wizarding World rides) up to one hour before regular park opening; a valid park ticket is required and participating parks and rides vary, so check current terms. Universal Express is not included. Overnight self-parking is $26 plus tax at the time of writing.

8. Universal Cabana Bay Beach Resort
Next to Volcano Bay, Cabana Bay adds walking paths to the bus service: walk to CityWalk for the two original parks, or take a dedicated path to Volcano Bay. Buses run about every 15 minutes to Epic Universe, Volcano Bay and CityWalk.
- Why stay: Family Suites (two queens plus a sofa bed) sleep up to 6. There is a pool with a water slide, a lazy river, bowling and a food court.
- Getting to the parks: Buses start 1 hour before Early Park Admission and run until CityWalk clears; rides take about 10 to 20 minutes.
- Good to know: Early Park Admission included (see caveats above); no Express and no free Disney bus.
Best for: Families of five or six who want a lazy river on a value budget.

9. Universal Stella Nova Resort
Stella Nova is one of two Prime Value hotels next to Epic Universe: the park is a 5 to 10 minute walk, and buses arrive about every 10 minutes, the most frequent Universal hotel bus service (shared with twin Terra Luna, which has a zero-entry pool, and Helios Grand). How hotel shuttles to Universal and Disney work
- Universal Partner Hotel shuttles are free but reservation-based: you book in person at the lobby’s Vacation Planning Center, usually up to 24 hours ahead, and buses may stop at other hotels. Epic Universe has its own departures.
- SeaWorld from I-Drive Rosen hotels means a connector bus via Universal around 10:05 a.m.
- Off-site Disney shuttles usually drop you at the Transportation and Ticket Center for Magic Kingdom, so allow an extra 15 to 30 minutes for the monorail or ferry.
- Early entry: Early Park Admission comes with all 11 Universal on-site hotels; at partner hotels such as the I-Drive Rosen Inns and Hilton Orlando you get it only if you book a Universal vacation package that includes park tickets. Disney’s Early Theme Park Entry is limited to Disney hotels and select partners such as the Disney Springs Resort Area hotels. A free shuttle alone adds neither.
Shuttle, rideshare or rental car: how to choose
- Count parks per resort. Few off-site shuttles cover all four Disney parks, so check which parks each one serves and fill gaps with rideshares.
- Price out parking. Disney standard parking is $35 per day at the time of writing, and hotel self-parking runs from free to about $40 plus tax per night.
- Match the ride to the day. Shuttles suit fixed park days; use a rideshare for late fireworks or after the last return bus.
