The best hotels in Davenport, Florida sit in two clusters southwest of Walt Disney World: resort communities around ChampionsGate and Reunion at I-4 Exit 58, and a row of practical chain hotels on US 27 near Exit 55. From either cluster, the Magic Kingdom parking lot is roughly 10 to 16 miles away by road, and LEGOLAND Florida is about 24 to 30 miles to the south.
The area works best if you have a car, want more space for the money (villas, multi-bedroom condos and whole vacation homes), or are splitting a trip between Disney and LEGOLAND. It works less well if you plan to rope-drop Universal every morning or want to walk to restaurants and nightlife.
Below are seven picks, with fees checked on official pages, drive times from our own route checks, and tips on tolls and vacation homes.
Quick answer: For a resort stay, book the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate (wave pool, lazy river, scheduled Disney shuttle in the resort charge) or Reunion Resort & Golf Club (condo-style villas, a five-acre water park and a Disney shuttle in the resort fee). Groups of eight or more should look at Encore Resort at Reunion. On a tighter budget, Home2 Suites by Hilton Orlando South Davenport, Hampton Inn Orlando-Maingate South and Holiday Inn Express & Suites Orlando South-Davenport all list free hot breakfast and free parking.

Davenport, Four Corners and ChampionsGate: where you’d actually be
“Davenport” on a booking site can mean several places. The hotels on US 27 around I-4 Exit 55 have Davenport addresses and sit in Polk County. ChampionsGate, at I-4 Exit 58, is a golf community in Osceola County that often appears under Davenport or Four Corners. Reunion Resort is next door with a Kissimmee mailing address. Further north on US 27, toward US 192, you reach the Four Corners area, packed with vacation-home communities.
All of them sit on the southwest edge of the Disney area, with I-4 as the main road to the parks. It’s quieter and more spread out than Lake Buena Vista or International Drive, and most dinners mean a short drive to ChampionsGate or Posner Park.
Who it suits:
- Value seekers who want space: villas with kitchens and multi-bedroom homes are the norm here, not the exception.
- Disney plus LEGOLAND trips: US 27 is the route LEGOLAND’s own directions use from Orlando, so you can do both from one base.
- Golfers and pool days: ChampionsGate and Reunion are built around golf courses and big pool complexes.
If you’re still comparing areas, our guide to the best places to stay in Orlando puts Davenport side by side with Kissimmee, Lake Buena Vista and I-Drive.
How we chose these hotels in Davenport, Florida
We started with location: every pick is close to I-4 Exit 55 or 58, or along US 27 north of I-4. We then checked amenities, breakfast, parking, resort fees and park transportation on official hotel and brand pages in October 2026, and ran our own road-distance checks to Disney, Universal, LEGOLAND and Orlando International Airport (MCO). Last, we weighed value: free breakfast, free parking and kitchens count for a lot in an area where you’ll drive most days.
We did not stay at these hotels, and we don’t publish scores or nightly prices. Rates vary by season, availability and how far ahead you book. None of these hotels was on Disney’s Early Theme Park Entry hotel list at last check.

1. Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate

The Omni is the big full-service resort of the area, at 1500 Masters Boulevard just off I-4 Exit 58. Its pool complex is the draw: a wave pool, an 850-foot lazy river, a zero-entry family pool with a corkscrew slide, a kids’ pool with three slides and an adults-only pool (18 and over). Add 36 holes of golf, a spa, several restaurants and villas with full kitchens.
We cover rooms, pools and fees in detail in our full Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate review, so here’s the short version.
- Why stay: The most complete resort in Davenport, with water features that rival a small water park.
- Getting there / to the parks: About 12 miles by road to the Magic Kingdom lot (roughly 20 minutes without traffic) and about 19 miles to Universal. Scheduled transportation to EPCOT and the Magic Kingdom area (the Transportation and Ticket Center) is included in the resort charge, with six departures and four to five returns daily at last check; reserve about 24 hours ahead.
- Good to know: At last check, the resort service charge was $48 plus tax per room, per night. Self-parking was $33 for day use and $38 overnight, with valet at $50 (the resort doesn’t say whether tax is extra). Breakfast isn’t included.
Best for: Families and couples who want resort days between park days, and golfers.

2. Reunion Resort & Golf Club

Reunion is a gated golf resort just east of ChampionsGate. Instead of standard hotel rooms, it rents one- to three-bedroom villas spread across six communities, plus more than 80 vacation homes with three or more bedrooms. Reunion says every unit has a kitchen and living area, and villas come with dining rooms and private balconies.
The centerpiece for families is the private five-acre water park, with a zero-entry pool, a 1,000-foot lazy river, the Volcano Twist waterslide (42-inch minimum), a kids’ splash zone with two small slides and a beach area. There are also eight guest pools across the resort, three championship golf courses designed by Arnold Palmer, Tom Watson and Jack Nicklaus, tennis, pickleball and mini golf.
- Why stay: Condo space and kitchens, a real water park and a Disney shuttle, all inside one gated resort.
- Getting there / to the parks: About 12 miles to the Magic Kingdom lot and 20 miles to Universal. The complimentary theme park shuttle leaves from the Reunion Grande and drops off at EPCOT or Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Disney buses connect to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom). Reunion says you reserve online up to 3 days ahead and no later than 7 p.m. the day before.
- Good to know: At last check, the resort fee was $40 plus tax per night (it covers water park access, the on-resort shuttle, the scheduled Disney shuttle, Wi-Fi and the fitness center), and parking was $20 plus tax per day. Check-in is 4 p.m. and check-out 10 a.m. The water park has no lifeguards and caps attendance at 500 guests. Pets aren’t allowed.
Reunion warns that homes rented through some third-party companies may have limited or no access to its amenities. If you book on Booking.com, make sure your reservation includes amenity wristbands for the water park before you pay.
Best for: Families who want a villa with a kitchen and water-park afternoons, and golf groups.

3. Encore Resort at Reunion

Encore takes the vacation-home idea and adds a resort around it. Every stay is a whole house of 4 to 13 bedrooms, and Encore’s FAQ says all homes have a private pool. The shared Encore Resort Aqua Park has a slide tower with three rides, including Stormchaser with its 60-foot near-vertical drop, plus the Surfing Safari kids’ area with four smaller slides, a large resort pool and rentable cabanas.
On-site dining includes Finns Restaurant, The Bis Grill at the water park and the Shark Lounge. Encore also includes admission to Island H2O Water Park on your check-in day during that park’s operating season.
- Why stay: One house for a big group, with a private pool and a slide tower down the road.
- Getting there / to the parks: Encore sits on the north side of Reunion, about 10 miles by road from the Magic Kingdom lot (roughly 20 minutes without traffic) and about 18.5 miles from Universal. It lists complimentary shuttles to all four Disney parks, Universal (including Epic Universe) and SeaWorld, with a few fixed departures a day. Reserve at least 24 hours ahead, and note that its shuttle rules say groups of 10 or more may not use the courtesy shuttle.
- Good to know: The three tower slides need riders to be at least 48 inches tall. A resort fee applies and varies by home (it covers parking, Wi-Fi and the shuttles), so confirm the total before you book. At last check, pool heat cost $40 a night from May to October and $60 from November to April, and the lead guest had to be 21 or older.
Best for: Multi-generation families, reunions and groups of eight or more who’d otherwise book several hotel rooms.
4. Holiday Inn Club Vacations Orlando Breeze Resort

Orlando Breeze is a smaller villa resort (124 rooms, according to its FAQ) at 100 Orlando Breeze Circle in Davenport, north of I-4 toward US 192 and the Four Corners area. Every villa has a fully equipped kitchen, a sleeper sofa and a private patio or balcony. Sizes run from a 621-square-foot one-bedroom that sleeps four to a three-bedroom lock-off of 1,807 square feet that sleeps up to ten.

- Why stay: Villa space and a low resort fee compared with the bigger resorts.
- Getting there / to the parks: About 13 miles to the Magic Kingdom lot via US 192 and World Drive, roughly 22 minutes without traffic, and about 21 miles to Universal. The resort lists Walt Disney World as 3.1 miles away, which likely means the edge of Disney property, not a park gate. We didn’t find a park shuttle listed, so plan on driving.
- Good to know: At last check, the resort fee was $17.50 per night and covered Wi-Fi, parking, boarding pass printing and the arcade, fitness center, sports courts, mini golf, grills and theater. Check-in is 4 p.m., check-out 10 a.m. Only club members and owners can bring pets.

Drive times and tolls from Davenport
Davenport is a driving base. These are our road distances and free-flow times; add plenty of buffer at rush hour and around park opening.
| Destination | From ChampionsGate / Reunion | From US 27 (Exit 55) | Tolls? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Magic Kingdom lot | 10 to 12.5 miles, 19 to 22 min | About 16 miles, 25 min | No (I-4, World Drive) |
| EPCOT | 9.5 to 12 miles, 21 to 24 min | About 15 miles, 26 min | No |
| Universal Orlando | 18.5 to 20 miles, 26 to 30 min | About 23 miles, 32 min | No (I-4) |
| LEGOLAND Florida | 27 to 30 miles, 41 to 46 min | About 24 miles, 37 to 40 min | No (US 27) |
| Orlando airport (MCO) | 27 to 28.5 miles, 39 to 43 min | About 31 miles, 45 min | Fastest route uses SR 417 |
The quickest airport route uses SR 417, a toll road; toll-free routes via I-4 and local roads exist but take noticeably longer. Our guide to Orlando toll roads explains SunPass, toll-by-plate and rental-car toll programs. Budget for park parking too: Disney’s standard theme park parking was $35 a day at last check, and Universal’s was $35 including tax.
Taxes differ slightly by county. At last check, the combined tax on hotel stays was 12% in Polk County (the US 27 hotels, Orlando Breeze and Home2 Suites) and 13.5% in Osceola County (the Omni, Reunion and Encore), so compare totals, not nightly rates.
Vacation homes in Davenport and Four Corners
Davenport and Four Corners are full of private vacation homes, many in gated communities with clubhouses and shared pools. They can be great value for big groups, but they work differently from hotels: expect cleaning fees, deposits, set check-in times, no daily housekeeping and, often, a daily fee to heat the private pool. At Reunion, for example, private pool heat is charged per day for most homes and can take up to 12 hours to warm up.
Before you book a home, confirm:
- Whether resort amenities (water park, shuttle, golf) are included, or only the private pool.
- The full total with cleaning, resort and pool-heat fees, plus the 12% or 13.5% tax.
- Parking for every car in your group, and whether the community has a gate code or check-in office.
Our guide to Orlando vacation homes with a private pool compares the main resort communities in more detail.
How to choose a hotel in Davenport
- You want a resort with big pools: Omni ChampionsGate for a wave pool and lazy river, Reunion for a water park plus villas.
- You’re a group of eight or more: an Encore home, a three-bedroom Orlando Breeze lock-off or a Reunion vacation home.
- You don’t want to drive to Disney: Omni, Reunion and Encore all list scheduled park transportation; the US 27 hotels don’t.
- You’re adding LEGOLAND: Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn Express on US 27 cut the drive to about 40 minutes. Our guide to hotels near LEGOLAND Florida covers staying right at the park.
- You want the lowest total cost: the three free-breakfast hotels, which listed free parking and no resort fee at last check.
- You want more restaurants and shuttles nearby: look at the best hotels in Kissimmee along US 192, closer to Disney, or our budget hotels in Orlando list.

Frequently asked questions
Is Davenport, Florida a good place to stay for Disney World?
Yes, if you have a car and value space over walkability. ChampionsGate and Reunion are about 12 miles by road from the Magic Kingdom parking lot, roughly 20 minutes without traffic, and the area offers villas, kitchens and big pool complexes. It’s less convenient for Universal, nightlife or car-free trips, where International Drive or Lake Buena Vista make more sense.
How far is Davenport, Florida from Disney World?
It depends on which part of Davenport. From ChampionsGate and Reunion near I-4 Exit 58, our route checks give about 10 to 12.5 miles to EPCOT and the Magic Kingdom lot. From the hotels on US 27 at Exit 55, it’s about 15 to 16 miles, roughly 25 to 28 minutes without traffic. Hotels often quote shorter figures measured to the edge of Disney property.
Are there hotels in Davenport with a free Disney shuttle?
A few. The Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate includes scheduled transportation to EPCOT and the Magic Kingdom area in its resort charge, with a reservation. Reunion Resort includes a scheduled shuttle to EPCOT or Hollywood Studios in its resort fee, and Encore Resort lists complimentary transportation to Disney, Universal and SeaWorld. Schedules are limited, so book seats early and confirm times with the hotel.
How far is Davenport from LEGOLAND Florida?
The US 27 hotels near I-4 Exit 55 are the closest: about 24 miles, or roughly 40 minutes without traffic, to LEGOLAND in Winter Haven, following the route LEGOLAND itself recommends from Orlando. From ChampionsGate or Reunion, expect about 27 to 30 miles and 40 to 46 minutes. That makes Davenport a practical base for one or two LEGOLAND days.
Do I need a car if I stay in Davenport?
Almost certainly. Only the larger resorts (Omni, Reunion and Encore) list scheduled park shuttles, and they run at set times with limited seats. The chain hotels on US 27 don’t list park shuttles, and restaurants, groceries and the outlets are a drive away. A car also keeps LEGOLAND, beach days and airport runs simple.
Bottom line
Hotels in Davenport, Florida give you more space and bigger pools for the money, with Disney about 20 to 25 minutes away by car. Choose the Omni or Reunion for a resort stay with a Disney shuttle, Encore for a large group, Orlando Breeze for a budget villa, and the Home2, Hampton or Holiday Inn Express for free breakfast and easy access to I-4. Check resort fees, parking and shuttle schedules before you book.
