Rosen Inn Orlando is not one hotel but four: Rosen Inn International (7600 International Drive), Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando (9000 International Drive), Rosen Inn Closest to Universal (6327 International Drive) and Rosen Inn Lake Buena Vista (8442 Palm Parkway, near Disney Springs). All four belong to Rosen Hotels & Resorts and share one formula: no resort fee, gated self-parking at $10 a night capped at $50 per car per stay, free Wi-Fi, a breakfast buffet where one child 5 and under eats free with each paying adult, dog-friendly rooms and free scheduled shuttles to select theme parks.
That is why the Rosen Inns keep appearing in our guides to cheap hotels in Orlando and cheap hotels on International Drive. The differences are in the shuttles, pools, play areas and road distances.
Quick answer: Book Rosen Inn Closest to Universal if Universal and Epic Universe are the whole trip: it is about 1.5 miles by road from Universal’s parking toll plaza, with a first shuttle at 7:05 a.m. Pick Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando for SeaWorld (about 3.1 miles) and the convention center (a 0.7-mile walk). Rosen Inn International is the family all-rounder, with two pools, a wading pool, a playground and a 24-hour arcade. For Disney, choose Rosen Inn Lake Buena Vista: about 2.4 miles from the Disney Springs garages, with the only free Disney shuttle of the four. Rates vary by season, availability and how far ahead you book.

Rosen Inn International (7600 International Drive)
Rosen Inn International has 728 rooms in wings around two seasonally heated pools and a children’s wading pool. The hotel quotes 2.3 miles to Universal Orlando Resort and 7.6 to Walt Disney World; our road route to Universal’s parking toll plaza came to about 1.9 miles, and ICON Park’s International Drive entrance is a 0.7-mile walk. Fountain View Cafe serves the breakfast buffet, Topsy Turvey Lounge has a pub-style grill menu, and there is a playground, a 24-hour arcade, a 24-hour fitness center, coin laundry and electric vehicle chargers. Guests with dogs are placed on the ground floor.

Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando (9000 International Drive)
With 1,020 rooms, Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando is the largest of the four and the farthest south on I-Drive, directly across the road from Pointe Orlando’s restaurants, bars, WonderWorks and the Regal cinema. It has three outdoor pools (two heated seasonally), a playground, a game room with an outdoor pool table, a fitness center and the widest choice of food, from the Plaza Garden breakfast buffet to Zebra’s Sports Bar & Grille and a Smoooth Java coffee and ice cream bar. The hotel says the Orange County Convention Center is less than a mile away; our walking route to the West Building was about 0.7 mile. Guests with dogs are usually placed on the third floor.

Rosen Inn Closest to Universal (6327 International Drive)
The name is accurate: from 6327 International Drive, on the northern stretch of I-Drive, our road route to Universal’s parking toll plaza was about 1.5 miles (the hotel says 1.1) and 3.7 miles to Epic Universe’s. It is the smallest of the four, with 315 rooms split between a tower with interior corridors (some rooms look toward Volcano Bay, the hotel says) and a wing whose rooms open to the outdoors. Facilities are simpler: one seasonally heated pool behind the lobby, a 24-hour fitness center, a game room, coin laundry and an electric vehicle charger, but no playground. The Palms Dining Room serves the breakfast buffet, and the Lite Bite mini-market is open 24 hours.

Rosen Inn Lake Buena Vista (8442 Palm Parkway)
Rosen Inn Lake Buena Vista is the odd one out. It sits on Palm Parkway off Apopka-Vineland Road, it is a Walt Disney World Good Neighbor Hotel rather than a Universal Partner Hotel, and its 640 rooms are set on 23 acres that the hotel describes as landscaped gardens and water features. The hotel says it is less than 2 miles from the Walt Disney World gates; by road we measured about 2.4 miles to the Disney Springs garages, 6.8 to Magic Kingdom’s Transportation and Ticket Center lot, 7 to EPCOT’s main lot, about 6 to Hollywood Studios’ lot and 7.4 to Animal Kingdom’s parking entrance. Kids get the most here: two seasonally heated pools, Ozzie’s Splash Zone splash pad, a key-access playground and a game room with billiards and air hockey. Boardwalk Buffet serves breakfast, Comfort Zone Bar & Grille is the sports bar, and the site lists no fitness center. Its free shuttle is the only one that goes to Disney.

Location and distances compared
The three I-Drive inns sit within 3 miles of each other, so the choice there is north (Universal) or south (SeaWorld and the convention center); Lake Buena Vista is a different trip. Road miles below come from OpenStreetMap routing to the actual parking entrances; the hotels’ own figures are often shorter.
| Road miles to | International | Pointe Orlando | Closest to Universal | Lake Buena Vista |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Universal parking toll plaza | 1.9 | 3.3 | 1.5 | 7.3 |
| Epic Universe toll plaza | 3.6 | 2.9 | 3.7 | 6.7 |
| SeaWorld parking | 4.4 | 3.1 | 4.9 | 3.9 |
| Disney Springs garages | 8.0 | 7.9 | 8.5 | 2.4 |
| EPCOT main lot | 11.9 | 12.0 | 12.4 | 7.0 |
| Magic Kingdom TTC lot | 13.3 | 13.3 | 13.8 | 6.8 |
| Orlando airport (MCO) | 12.4 | 13.6 | 12.9 | 16.0 |
On foot, ICON Park’s International Drive entrance is about 0.7 mile from International, 0.8 mile from Pointe Orlando and 1.2 miles from Closest to Universal. At the time of writing, the I-Ride Trolley runs daily from 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., about every 20 minutes on the Red Line; a single ride is $2 (children 3 to 9 $1) and a one-day pass $8. None of the four has an airport shuttle; all point guests to rideshare.
Rooms and who they sleep
Every Rosen Inn offers a double-double (two double beds) and a king room. The three I-Drive inns cap the double at five guests and the king at three; Lake Buena Vista’s site does not state a maximum. Every room has a mini-fridge (Pointe Orlando notes there is no freezer), microwave, coffee maker, safe and HDTV. Cribs are free on request and a rollaway costs $20 plus tax a night (Closest to Universal’s rooms page says $18). Every room is non-smoking, with a $250 fee for breaking the rule, and ADA rooms with roll-in showers must be requested when you book.
Housekeeping differs: International and Pointe Orlando list daily service, while Lake Buena Vista and Closest to Universal refresh towels and trash daily, clean without sheet changes after every third night and do a full clean after every sixth. Check-in is 4 p.m. and check-out 11 a.m. at all four.
Pools, splash pads, playgrounds and arcades
All pools are listed as open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., weather permitting, and the heated ones are heated seasonally, not year-round. International’s playground sits next to pool 2. Pointe Orlando has three pools, of which pools 1 and 3 are heated and pool 2 doubles as the smoking area. Closest to Universal has a single heated pool behind the lobby. Lake Buena Vista has two heated pools, one behind the 3000 building with Ozzie’s Splash Zone beside it, and a playground that needs a room key.

Arcades are everywhere: 24 hours at International and 9 a.m. to midnight at the other three (Lake Buena Vista’s home page says 24 hours), with billiards and air hockey at Lake Buena Vista; games take tokens or game cards. International and Closest to Universal have 24-hour fitness centers (room key required); Pointe Orlando’s pages disagree on its gym hours (6 a.m. to 11 p.m. or 24 hours), and Lake Buena Vista lists no gym.

None of the sites defines “seasonally heated”, so for a winter trip ask the front desk whether the pools are heated on your dates.
Dining and the Kids Eat Free program
Breakfast is extra at all four unless your rate includes it. Each inn has a buffet restaurant where, in the words of the dining pages, one buffet meal for a child 5 and under is free with each paying adult buffet meal (some FAQ pages say “under 5”, so ask if your child has just turned 5). Hours: Fountain View Cafe at International and Plaza Garden Restaurant at Pointe Orlando, 6:30 to 10:30 a.m.; The Palms Dining Room at Closest to Universal, 7 to 10 a.m. Monday to Thursday and to 10:30 a.m. Friday to Sunday; Boardwalk Buffet at Lake Buena Vista, 6:45 to 10:45 a.m. At the time of writing, the restaurant pages list $15.95 for adults and $8.95 for children 6 to 9 at three inns, and $14.95 and $7.95 at Closest to Universal (its dining FAQ says children 6 to 10), before 6.5% tax and a 15% service charge.
For dinner, International has Topsy Turvey Lounge, Pointe Orlando has Zebra’s, Lake Buena Vista has Comfort Zone and Closest to Universal relies on its 24-hour Lite Bite deli (a dining FAQ mentions a dinner buffet; The Palms lists breakfast only); every property has a Lite Bite mini-market with pizza, wings and snacks. For other hotels with a free kids’ meal, see our guide to Orlando hotels where kids eat free.
Shuttles to Universal, SeaWorld and Disney
The three I-Drive inns are Universal Partner Hotels with free scheduled shuttles to Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, CityWalk and Volcano Bay (closed for maintenance from October 26, 2026, with reopening planned on or before April 1, 2027) and separate departures to Epic Universe. Seats must be reserved in person at the Universal Partner Hotel Vacation Planning Center in each lobby, from one day ahead up to 30 minutes before departure, first come, first served. The schedules follow regular park hours and are not valid for early park admission or special events. SeaWorld and Aquatica mean an early bus to Universal and a single 10:05 a.m. connection, returning via Universal in the evening.
| Hotel | Free shuttle to | Morning departures (returns) | Disney |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rosen Inn International | Universal, Epic; SeaWorld via transfer | 7:15 to 11:30 a.m. (5:15 to 9:20 p.m.) | Paid, Fabulous Buses, from $15 |
| Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando | Universal, Epic; SeaWorld via transfer | 7:20 to 11:50 a.m. (5:00 to 9:25 p.m.) | Paid, $15 round trip, Magic Kingdom or EPCOT |
| Rosen Inn Closest to Universal | Universal, Epic; SeaWorld via transfer | 7:05 to 11:15 a.m. (5:15 to 9:10 p.m.) | Paid, “nominal fee” (from $15) |
| Rosen Inn Lake Buena Vista | Universal, Epic, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, Disney Springs | Universal 7:05 and 11:15 a.m. (5:40 to 7:35 p.m.); Disney 9:25 a.m. to 5:10 p.m. (4:15 to 11:05 p.m.) | Free |
Times are from the hotels’ October 2026 schedules and change; the last Epic Universe run from Closest to Universal is printed as “11:15 p.m.”, almost certainly a typo for a.m. For Disney, the I-Drive inns point you to Fabulous Buses, a separate company that lists all three from $15: you book online, board curbside (at Pointe Orlando from trolley stop 18, with one morning run each to Magic Kingdom and EPCOT) and a departure with no bookings does not stop.
Lake Buena Vista’s free shuttle, operated by Platinum Transportation, serves Hollywood Studios (9:25 and 11:30 a.m., back at 4:15 p.m.), EPCOT (10:35 a.m., back at 10:15 p.m.) and Disney Springs (5:10 p.m., back at 11:05 p.m.), not Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom. Its pages disagree on seating (first come, first served with a room key on one page, reservations required on the FAQ), so ask at the desk. None of the four is on Disney’s Early Theme Park Entry list, which Disney says continues through 2027. For hotels with more frequent park buses, see our guide to Orlando hotels with free shuttles to Universal and Disney.
Parking, resort fees and the real nightly extras
Here the four are identical, which is the point. Each site says guests never pay a resort fee, and each charges $10 per night per car for gated self-parking, tax included, capped at five nights ($50) per car per stay; you collect a permit tag at the front desk, and none lists valet parking. Dogs of any breed or size are welcome with prior approval, up to two per room at $15 plus tax per dog per night, with proof of vaccinations and a refundable $50 deposit if you pay cash. Against the $35 a day that Disney and Universal charge for standard theme-park parking, the free shuttle looks valuable. The Rosen Inns also appear in our list of Orlando hotels with no resort fees.

Frequently asked questions
Which Rosen Inn is closest to Universal Studios?
Rosen Inn Closest to Universal, at 6327 International Drive: our road route to Universal’s parking toll plaza was about 1.5 miles (the hotel quotes 1.1). Rosen Inn International is about 1.9 miles away and Pointe Orlando about 3.3. For Epic Universe the order changes, with Pointe Orlando nearest at about 2.9 miles.
Do the Rosen Inns charge a resort fee?
No. All four official sites say guests never pay a resort fee. What you do pay is $10 a night per car for gated self-parking, tax included, capped at $50 per car per stay, plus 12.5% Orange County tax on the room. Breakfast, arcade tokens, rollaway beds and dog fees are extra.
Is the Rosen Inn shuttle to Universal free?
Yes, at all four inns, but it is a scheduled bus with limited seats, not a continuous loop. At the three I-Drive inns you reserve in person at the lobby Vacation Planning Center from one day ahead; morning departures run between about 7:05 and 11:50 a.m. and returns between 5 and 9:25 p.m. The buses follow regular park hours and are not valid for early park admission.
Which Rosen Inn is best for Disney World?
Rosen Inn Lake Buena Vista. It is about 2.4 miles by road from the Disney Springs garages and 7 miles from EPCOT’s main lot, and it runs the only free Disney shuttle of the four, to Hollywood Studios, EPCOT and Disney Springs (not Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom). From the I-Drive inns, Disney Springs is 8 to 10 miles away and the Disney bus costs extra.
Do kids eat free at Rosen Inn hotels?
Partly. Each inn’s buffet restaurant gives one free buffet meal to a child 5 and under with each paying adult buffet meal, mainly at breakfast. Older children pay a child price, at the time of writing $8.95 (ages 6 to 9) at three inns and $7.95 at Closest to Universal, before tax and service charge. Some FAQ pages say “under 5”, so confirm the cut-off with the hotel.
Are the Rosen Inns dog-friendly?
Yes, with no breed or size restrictions. Each inn allows up to two dogs per room for $15 plus tax per dog per night, asks for proof of vaccinations and takes a refundable $50 deposit if you pay cash. Dogs need prior approval and are not allowed in pools, restaurants or lounges. Lake Buena Vista even sells a VIP Dog package.
Bottom line
Rosen Inn Orlando is four hotels with one price structure, so choose by location: Closest to Universal for Universal days, Pointe Orlando for SeaWorld and the convention center, International for a wading pool and the most play space on I-Drive, and Lake Buena Vista for Disney. Check the shuttle times for your park days before you commit, since every schedule above can change. See current rates at Rosen Inn International and compare them with the other three for your dates.
