Rosen Centre Hotel is a 1,334-room convention hotel at 9840 International Drive, linked by a covered skywalk to the West Building of the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC). It charges no resort fee, runs a free scheduled shuttle to Universal Orlando and Epic Universe, and has a large, seasonally heated pool, a spa and nine places to eat and drink.

The trade-offs are paid parking, no waterslide or kids’ splash area on the official amenity lists, and a drive of roughly 10 to 13 miles to the Disney theme parks. This review uses the hotel’s own pages, the OCCC’s official site and our road-route checks from October 2026.

Quick answer: Book Rosen Centre Hotel if your event is in the OCCC West Building (the skywalk lands near Hall A) or you want a no-resort-fee base about 2 miles from SeaWorld and Epic Universe with a free Universal shuttle. Skip it if you need a free Disney shuttle or a pool with slides for young kids, and budget for parking if you drive.

Location and distances

Rosen Centre sits on southern International Drive, about a quarter mile from the Beachline Expressway (SR 528) exit, per the hotel’s directions. The OCCC says the Rosen Centre Skywalk connects the hotel to the West Building near Hall A. If your show is in the North/South Building, the walk is much longer, so check your hall first; our guide to hotels near the Orange County Convention Center shows which hotel bridges to which building.

Some hotel figures look like straight-line or property-line distances, and its pages disagree on times, so we ran road routes on OSRM; times assume no traffic.

On foot, Pointe Orlando’s shops, restaurants and cinema are roughly a mile north along I-Drive (about 20 minutes), although the hotel calls it one block away. ICON Park is about 1.7 miles, so most guests drive, use a rideshare or take the I-RIDE Trolley, which the OCCC says stops in front of its West and North/South buildings.

Rooms and suites

The hotel lists 1,254 deluxe rooms with one king or two queen beds, plus 80 suites. Rooms have a wall-mounted 50-inch TV above a multi-outlet charging bar, USB ports in the lamps and headboard, a mini-refrigerator, coffee maker, safe, iron and hairdryer; king rooms add a chaise. The hotel is smoke-free.

The official site gives no square footage or maximum occupancy for standard rooms, so check the occupancy shown for your rate if you’re a family of four or more. A king bed or a specific floor is a special request, granted at check-in based on availability.

Suites mostly serve business travelers and groups: 14 hospitality suites, 43 VIP suites with one or two bedrooms, 20 executive suites of 2,300 square feet and three presidential suites. The fact sheet lists 69 ADA rooms (30 queen, 39 king), and a limited number of rooms are dog-friendly.

Pool, spa and recreation

Recreation centers on one big outdoor pool: the hotel calls it Olympic-size, the spa’s website says it is seasonally heated, and the fact sheet adds two whirlpools. There’s a pool lift, and Harry’s Poolside Bar & Grill serves food beside the water. No waterslide, splash pad, lazy river or kids’ club is listed.

The Spa at Rosen Centre has seven treatment rooms, a salon and a steam room, and opens daily at 9 a.m. You must be 18 or older to use the spa and fitness facilities on your own, and treatments carry a 21% service charge.

The 24-hour fitness center has cardio machines, a Smith machine and dumbbells up to 100 pounds, but it isn’t automatically free: the spa’s website lists a $15 fitness membership per stay for hotel guests, unless a spa treatment or package includes access. Golfers get preferred tee times at Shingle Creek Golf Club, the course beside Rosen Shingle Creek, with complimentary transportation per the fact sheet.

Dining and breakfast

Nine restaurants and lounges help on a long convention day. Hours come from the hotel’s restaurant page and can change.

  • Everglades Restaurant: Florida-themed steaks and seafood with an aquarium bar; 5:30 to 10 p.m., reservations suggested.
  • Café Gauguin: international buffet; breakfast 6:30 to 10 a.m.
  • Harry’s Poolside Bar & Grill: Caribbean-Cuban dishes; lunch from 11 a.m., dinner 5 to 10 p.m.
  • 98Forty Tapas & Tequila: Spanish and Mexican small plates; 5 to 10 p.m.
  • Banshoo Sushi Bar: sushi and rolls; 5 to 10 p.m.
  • Sam & Bubbe’s: lobby lounge from 4 p.m.
  • Smoooth Java and Red’s Deli: coffee from 6:30 a.m.; sandwiches and pizza until 11 p.m., with a 24-hour market.

Breakfast isn’t listed as included in standard rates, so check whether your rate adds it. For an early park start, Red’s Deli and Smoooth Java are the grab-and-go options, and in-room dining runs during set hours.

Parking and fees

Unlike Hyatt Regency Orlando and Hilton Orlando, which are also bridged to the OCCC, Rosen Centre has no resort fee: its website states “No Resort Fee” alongside free in-room Wi-Fi. Parking is the extra cost, and the hotel says its prices apply to day and overnight guests.

ChargeAmount (at the time of writing)Notes
Resort feeNoneFree Wi-Fi in rooms

Oversized vehicle$60 plus taxPer space, per day

Rooms also carry Orange County’s 12.5% hotel tax, and rates vary by season, availability and how far ahead you book. At the time of writing, the Thrill Seeker’s Retreat package listed free self-parking and two I-RIDE Trolley passes, and the Season of Savor package listed 50% off self-parking, so compare packages with the plain rate. For more fee-free stays, see our list of Orlando hotels with no resort fees.

Transport to the parks and the airport

Universal Orlando and Epic Universe

The free Universal shuttle runs daily, first come, first served. Sign up at the Concierge Desk in the main lobby, then board at the bus cut-out on Hawaiian Court. The hotel’s shuttle details also say to book 24 hours ahead, so sign up a day early. Returns stop at other hotels, so expect a longer ride back. There’s one morning departure per destination, and the hotel’s two pages list different times:

Hotel pageTo Universal parksTo Epic UniverseLast return from Epic
Location & Transportation8:35 a.m.8:20 a.m.10:00 p.m.
Orlando Attractions8:25 a.m.8:35 a.m.9:10 p.m.

Both pages list returns from the original Universal parks, CityWalk and Volcano Bay at 5, 6:25 and 8 p.m. Rosen Centre isn’t a Universal on-site hotel, so perks such as Early Park Admission don’t come with your room; a Universal vacation package with park tickets is the off-site way to get it. Standard Universal parking was $35 including tax at last check. To stay even closer to the newest park, compare hotels near Epic Universe. Note that Volcano Bay is scheduled to close for maintenance from October 26, 2026, reopening on or before April 1, 2027.

SeaWorld and Aquatica

There’s no direct SeaWorld bus: you take the 8:25 a.m. shuttle to Universal (the time both pages give for this connection) and switch to the single connector that leaves Universal at 10:05 a.m., and the return also changes at Universal. With SeaWorld about 2 miles away, a rideshare or taxi is simpler; the OCCC estimates $7 to $10 by taxi from the convention center.

Walt Disney World

No free Disney shuttle is listed, though Guest Services can arrange transportation, and the accessibility page lists a wheelchair-accessible Disney shuttle through Florida Dolphin Tours, reserved 24 hours ahead. By car, EPCOT and Magic Kingdom are 11 to 12.5 miles away, with standard parking at $35 a day at last check. The OCCC estimates taxis at $33 to $45 to EPCOT and $47 to $50 to Magic Kingdom.

Airport

The hotel doesn’t list an airport shuttle and strongly suggests rideshare such as Uber or Lyft. The OCCC estimates a taxi to Orlando International Airport at $45 to $50, and LYNX buses connect the convention center with the airport.

Amenities and services

  • Wi-Fi: free in guest rooms.
  • Services: Ricoh business center, concierge, gift shop and car rental.
  • Accessibility: accessible routes, a pool lift, and accessible self-parking and valet areas.
  • Kids: no kids’ club or children’s program on the official pages.
  • Dogs: one dog per room in limited dog-friendly rooms; not allowed in pools, restaurants or the spa.
  • Check-in: 3 p.m. (check-out 11 a.m.); bring a physical government-issued ID, as digital IDs aren’t accepted.

Who Rosen Centre Hotel suits

With more than 160,000 square feet of its own meeting space, Rosen Centre works best when the OCCC West Building is on your agenda. It also suits couples and adults who want Universal, Epic Universe or SeaWorld nearby, plus dog owners who want a full-service hotel.

It’s a weaker fit for Disney-focused trips; our guide to where to stay in Orlando compares closer areas. Families with young kids who want slides will prefer a resort with a water play area.

Pros

  • Covered skywalk to the OCCC West Building.
  • No resort fee, with free Wi-Fi in rooms.
  • Free scheduled shuttle to Universal, including Epic Universe.
  • About 2 miles by road from SeaWorld and Epic Universe.
  • Nine restaurants and lounges, including a 24-hour market.
  • Large, seasonally heated pool and an on-site spa.

Limitations to know

  • Self-parking costs $40 plus tax per day.
  • One morning shuttle per Universal destination, with conflicting schedules on the hotel’s pages.
  • No free Disney shuttle; the Disney theme parks are roughly 10 to 13 miles away by road.
  • No waterslide, lazy river or kids’ club listed.
  • The fitness center costs $15 per stay unless a package includes it.
  • Pointe Orlando and ICON Park aren’t quick walks.

What to check before you book

  • Shuttle times: get the current schedule from the Concierge Desk and sign up early.
  • Parking deals: compare packages with free or discounted parking.
  • Pool heating: ask about pool temperature on a winter trip.

Nearby alternatives

Rosen Plaza Hotel (9700 International Drive) is the sister hotel at the other end of the West Building. It also states no resort fee, its skywalk lands near Hall F, and it sits across the street from Pointe Orlando, which makes dinner on foot easier. Its self-parking was listed at $29 plus tax at the time of writing.

Frequently asked questions

Does Rosen Centre Hotel charge a resort fee?

No. The hotel’s website and fact sheet state “No Resort Fee,” and Wi-Fi in guest rooms is free. The main add-on is parking: at the time of writing, self-parking is $40 and valet $53 per day, each plus tax. Room rates also carry Orange County’s 12.5% hotel tax, so compare the full total at checkout.

How much is parking at Rosen Centre Hotel?

At the time of writing, the hotel lists self-parking at $40, valet at $53 and oversized vehicles at $60 per space, each per day plus tax, for day and overnight guests. Some packages reduce the cost; the Thrill Seeker’s Retreat listed free self-parking when we checked. Prices can change, so confirm before you book.

Is Rosen Centre connected to the Orange County Convention Center?

Yes. According to the OCCC, the Rosen Centre Skywalk connects the hotel to the West Building near Hall A, so you can reach West Building events without crossing International Drive at street level. North/South Building events are a longer walk; Hyatt Regency Orlando and Hilton Orlando are the hotels bridged to that side.

Does Rosen Centre have a free shuttle to Universal?

Yes. A free scheduled shuttle runs daily to Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, CityWalk, Volcano Bay and Epic Universe. You sign up at the Concierge Desk, seats are first come, first served, and the shuttle section says to book 24 hours ahead. There’s one morning departure per destination, and the posted times differ between pages, so confirm at the desk.

Is Rosen Centre Hotel good for families?

It works for families focused on Universal, Epic Universe or SeaWorld who want a central I-Drive base, a large heated pool and plenty of on-site dining without a resort fee. It’s weaker for young kids who want slides or splash areas, which the hotel doesn’t list, and for Disney-heavy trips, since there’s no free Disney shuttle.

What is the difference between Rosen Centre and Rosen Plaza?

Both are Rosen hotels on International Drive with no resort fee and a skywalk to the OCCC West Building. Rosen Centre, at 9840 International Drive, bridges near Hall A at the south end and has 1,334 rooms and suites. Rosen Plaza, at 9700 International Drive, bridges near Hall F and sits across the street from Pointe Orlando.

Bottom line

Rosen Centre Hotel is a strong pick when the convention center or Universal is the point of your trip: a skywalk to the West Building, no resort fee, a free Universal shuttle and nine places to eat. Budget for parking if you drive, confirm shuttle times, and look elsewhere for a free Disney shuttle or a pool built for kids.
