The most convenient hotels near Orange County Convention Center are the four connected to it by pedestrian bridge: Hyatt Regency Orlando, Rosen Centre Hotel, Rosen Plaza Hotel and Hilton Orlando. If you stay at one of them, you walk to the show over a skybridge and don’t need a car, a shuttle or convention parking.
The catch is size. The Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) is the second-largest in the US, with about 7 million square feet split between the West Building and the North/South Building, which are joined by a covered pedestrian bridge. Each hotel’s bridge lands at a different building and hall, so choose your hotel by where your event is. (Planning a vacation instead? See the best areas to stay in Orlando.)
Quick answer: Book Hyatt Regency Orlando if your event spans both buildings, because it’s the only hotel bridged to both. For West Building events, Rosen Centre Hotel and Rosen Plaza Hotel have skywalks and no resort fee. Hilton Orlando is bridged to the South Concourse and has a lazy river. Las Palmeras, a Hilton Grand Vacations Club, has kitchen suites across Universal Boulevard. SpringHill Suites and Residence Inn include free breakfast, about 0.75 mile away.

Keeping convention-week costs down
- Book the official room block early. If your event has one, check it first; blocks usually close at a cutoff date.
- Compare the total cost. Add the resort fee to the rate, then Orange County’s 12.5% hotel tax, then parking. With tax, a $47 resort charge is about $53 a night.
- Skip resort fees. Rosen Centre and Rosen Plaza are the only bridged hotels without one. See more Orlando hotels with no resort fees.
- Consider cheaper backups. Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando (9000 International Drive) has no resort fee, $10-a-night parking (tax included, capped at $50) and a free Universal shuttle. Avanti International Resort (8738 International Drive) is less than a mile from the OCCC in a straight line. Both are about a 1–1.15-mile walk to the West Building. For more, see our best budget hotels in Orlando.
Adding theme park days: Epic Universe, Universal, SeaWorld and Disney from the Convention Center
SeaWorld and Epic Universe (opened May 2025) are the closest major parks.
| From the OCCC to | Distance / drive (no traffic) | OCCC taxi estimate |
|---|---|---|
| SeaWorld | 2.9 mi, about 10 min | $7–10 |
| Epic Universe | 3.6 mi, about 10 min | Not listed |
| Universal Studios Florida | About 5–7 mi, about 15 min | $15–17 |
| EPCOT | 10 mi, about 20 min | $33–45 |
| Magic Kingdom | 13.6 mi, about 25 min | $47–50 |
Allow extra time during show move-in and rush hour. Taxi fares are OCCC estimates and can change.
- Universal shuttles: Rosen Centre, Rosen Plaza, Hilton Orlando and Hyatt Regency advertise free Universal transportation. Both Rosen hotels list Epic Universe departures, and Hilton says its shuttle serves all four Universal parks; confirm Epic at Hyatt Regency, whose page still says “all three” parks. Sign up in advance.
- Disney: Apart from Hilton Orlando’s Magic Kingdom and EPCOT shuttle, drive or take a rideshare or taxi; standard Disney theme park parking is $35 a day at the time of writing.

Frequently asked questions
Which hotels are connected to the Orange County Convention Center?
Four hotels are connected by pedestrian bridge: Hyatt Regency Orlando (both buildings), Rosen Centre Hotel (West Building, Hall A), Rosen Plaza Hotel (West Building, Hall F) and Hilton Orlando (North/South Building, South Concourse). Every other hotel nearby means a walk outdoors, a trolley or a ride.
How much does parking cost at the Orange County Convention Center, and can I park overnight?
At the time of writing, OCCC parking is $20 plus tax ($21.30) per entry for standard vehicles and $40 plus tax for oversized ones, and some events charge more. It’s first-come, first-served and cashless, and overnight parking isn’t allowed. If you’re staying nearby, walking or the I-RIDE Trolley is usually cheaper.
Are there cheap hotels within walking distance of the Orange County Convention Center?
Yes. Tru by Hilton, SpringHill Suites and Residence Inn include free breakfast, Four Points has free self-parking, and Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando has no resort fee and $10-a-night parking. All are about a 0.75- to 1.15-mile walk. Rates climb during big shows, so book early.
How do I get from Orlando airport (MCO) to the Orange County Convention Center?
It’s about 12.9 miles, or roughly 20–25 minutes by car without traffic. Rideshare is the simplest option, and the OCCC estimates a taxi at $45–50. LYNX buses also connect the airport with the Convention Center but take longer. Rosen Centre and Hilton Orlando don’t offer free airport shuttles, so budget for the ride.
