The closest hotels near Nemours Children’s Hospital Orlando are in Lake Nona Town Center, about half a mile from the hospital: the Courtyard and the Residence Inn share one tower on Lake Nona Boulevard, and the Lake Nona Wave Hotel and the Aloft are also within walking distance. Nemours Children’s Hospital, Florida, is at 6535 Nemours Parkway, in the cluster of hospitals that Lake Nona calls Medical City, beside the Orlando VA Medical Center and UCF Lake Nona Hospital.
This guide is for parents of a child in treatment and relatives coming to help. We ranked nine hotels by road distance, added walking times for the four within reach on foot, and checked kitchens, breakfast, parking, pets and shuttles on official pages. Nothing here is medical advice; ask the care team what applies to you.
Quick answer: For a week or more, book the Residence Inn by Marriott Orlando Lake Nona: every suite has a full kitchen, breakfast and parking are included, and the hospital is roughly a 10-to-15-minute walk by our route. For a few nights, the Courtyard in the same tower is the same walk, with a restaurant in the building. Without a car, Holiday Inn Express & Suites Orlando Southeast lists a free shuttle to the airport and anywhere within 3 miles. If your child is a patient, ask the care team about the Ronald McDonald House beside the hospital.

How we chose these hotels
- Road distance first: every hotel was routed to the Nemours address with OSRM in both directions, with walking routes for the Town Center hotels. All figures are light-traffic estimates.
- Official facts only: parking, breakfast, kitchens, pets, check-in ages and shuttles come from each hotel’s own site or brand page, read live or in dated archived copies, since Marriott, Hilton and IHG block direct requests.
- Hospital-stay basics: walkability, kitchens and laundry, included breakfast, parking, pet rules and car-free options.
- No scores: we did not stay at these hotels and do not use ratings. Rates vary by season, availability and how far ahead you book.

Nemours Children’s Hospital: parking, visiting and family basics
From the hospital’s own pages at the time of writing; check them again before you travel.
Parking and directions
- Free garage: Nemours lists a free parking garage open 24/7, with free ChargePoint stations for electric vehicles on the first floor near the elevators.
- Tolls: the hospital is off SR 417, a toll road; Nemours tells drivers without a SunPass to be prepared to pay cash tolls with exact change.
- Arrival: the Welcome Desk on the first floor of the main lobby is the first stop for a visitor badge, maps and a wheelchair or wagon.
Visiting rules and badges
Nemours’ caregiver and visitor policy says that most of the time patients may have at least one adult caregiver or visitor at the bedside and that visitors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Everyone checks in with photo ID and wears a badge, with a new badge each day: at the main entrance desk from 5:30 am to 10 pm, and through the emergency room from 10 pm to 5:30 am.
Where to sleep and eat
- In the room: Nemours says each patient room has a couch that converts to sleeping accommodations, and that the PICU, NICU and CICU may have different arrangements.
- On the floor: inpatient floors have TV-free family lounges and washers and dryers.
- Food: the first-floor Nemours Café serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and a late-night menu until 11 pm, and Outtakes Quick Cuisine behind the Welcome Desk is open daily 6 am to 9 pm.
Ronald McDonald House on the Nemours campus
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida runs a house at 6551 Nemours Parkway, which it describes as a few short steps from the hospital; Nemours calls it right next door. It opened in 2016 and has 24 bedrooms with private bathrooms, a kitchen and dining area, a laundry room, a playroom and a living room, with grab-and-go breakfast items, a daily dinner and a community pantry. The phone number is 321-319-4748.
To stay, the patient must be a child up to age 21 receiving care at an Orlando-area hospital, and most rooms are limited to two adults. Families complete an online registration form and a background check, and the charity says submitting the form does not guarantee a room. Ask the care team how to apply, and keep a hotel in mind as a fallback.
Visiting the Orlando VA Medical Center or UCF Lake Nona Hospital
The Orlando VA Medical Center is at 13800 Veterans Way, Orlando, FL 32827, about 0.7 miles from the Courtyard and Residence Inn and a 15-minute walk by our route; the VA lists the facility as open 24/7. Families and caregivers of hospitalized Veterans may qualify for the Orlando VA Fisher House on the campus: the VA’s page lists 16 suites, one room per Veteran, and says guests must live 50 miles or more from the facility. Reservations are not accepted; ask the Veteran’s social worker or VA provider for a referral.
UCF Lake Nona Hospital is at 6700 Lake Nona Boulevard, about 0.7 to 1 mile from the Town Center hotels and 1.9 miles from SpringHill Suites. Its visitor pages list visiting hours of 5:30 am to 9 pm on weekdays and 8 am to 9 pm on weekends, visitor badges from the lobby desk and free guest Wi-Fi, but no parking price, so confirm on arrival. Visiting a downtown campus instead? See our picks for hotels near Orlando Health and hotels near AdventHealth Orlando.
Getting to Nemours without a car
From the Courtyard, Residence Inn, Wave Hotel and Aloft you can walk, about 10 to 25 minutes by our routes; in summer heat and afternoon storms, a short rideshare is the realistic alternative.
Nemours’ visitor page lists LYNX FastLink bus routes, SunRail with a free transfer to LYNX buses on weekdays only, and ACCESS LYNX paratransit. The Holiday Inn Express lists a free shuttle within 3 miles between 8 am and 10 pm, and the Wave gives guests access to Lake Nona’s local shuttle, so ask exactly where each one goes. Our guide to getting around Orlando without a car covers rideshare, buses and fares.
Long stays: kitchens, laundry and groceries
If the admission may run for weeks, book a kitchen: the Residence Inn (full kitchens, walkable) and the Home2 Suites (in-suite kitchens, a 9-minute drive) both include breakfast and have guest laundry. Our guide to extended-stay hotels in Orlando covers more options.
For groceries, Publix lists a Lake Nona Plaza store with a pharmacy at 13900 Narcoossee Road, about 2.5 road miles from the Town Center hotels and 0.6 miles from the Hampton and Home2, and Walmart lists a Supercenter with a pharmacy at 11930 Narcoossee Road, under a mile from the Holiday Inn Express.
How to choose
- You want to walk to the hospital: Courtyard or Residence Inn (10 to 15 minutes), then the Wave (14 to 18) and the Aloft (20 to 25).
- You are staying a week or more: Residence Inn first, then Home2 Suites.
- You will not have a car: the Holiday Inn Express for its airport and 3-mile shuttle, or a walkable Town Center hotel plus rideshare.
