The best Orlando airport hotels are the Hyatt Regency, built into the main terminal at Orlando International Airport (MCO), and a cluster of chain hotels about 2.5 to 3.5 road miles north of the airport that run free shuttles. Only the Hyatt Regency is connected to the terminal. Everywhere else, you call a van after baggage claim, and shuttle hours, breakfast and parking charges vary more than the brand names suggest.
Below are 15 picks for late arrivals, dawn flights, layovers, park-and-fly trips and cruise nights, including two in Lake Nona for drivers who want free parking. Every fee comes from the hotels’ or the airport’s own pages.
Quick answer: To walk to your gate, book the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport. For a free shuttle around the clock, Hilton Garden Inn, DoubleTree and Sheraton Suites list 24-hour service. For free breakfast plus a shuttle, pick Embassy Suites, Hampton Inn & Suites, Homewood Suites, Hyatt House, Hyatt Place or SpringHill Suites. Homewood had the lowest published parking near the terminals at $10 a day. SpringHill Suites Lake Nona listed free parking but has no shuttle.

How we chose these Orlando airport hotels
- Location: inside MCO or about 2.5 to 4 road miles from the terminals, most of them on the airport’s own list of nearby hotels with complimentary transportation (SpringHill Suites, Hyatt House and Cambria aren’t on that list but advertise their own shuttle). The two Lake Nona picks are 15 to 20 minutes south.
- Verified shuttle: the MCO shuttle had to appear on the hotel’s official page (and be listed as free there or on MCO’s list), with hours where the hotel publishes them.
- Costs: parking, breakfast and pet fees come from official pages (live or archived, dated in the text). We saw no resort fee on the pages we could open; confirm at booking, and see our Orlando hotels with no resort fees for the rest of your trip.
- Honest comparison: we didn’t stay at these hotels and don’t rank them by review scores. Road distances come from OSRM routing without traffic.
If a free van is all you need, our shorter list of Orlando hotels with a free airport shuttle covers pickup times and phone numbers in more depth.

15. Lake Nona Wave Hotel

Lake Nona’s flagship hotel, at 6100 Wave Hotel Drive in Town Center, is the splurge pick on this list. It’s full of contemporary art, with balconies, a pool deck with cabanas and its own restaurants, about 7 to 8 road miles (17 to 19 minutes) from MCO.

Best for: Couples who want a stylish final night before flying home. Our Lake Nona Wave Hotel review has the details.
Other hotels on MCO’s complimentary shuttle list
The airport authority’s list of nearby hotels with complimentary transportation also names Holiday Inn Orlando International Airport (2.2 miles by the airport’s count), Hampton Inn Orlando-International Airport, the Renaissance Orlando Airport Hotel, Country Inn & Suites, Fairfield Inn, Staybridge Suites, Home2 Suites, Ramada Suites, TownePlace Suites, Avid Hotel, Comfort Suites, Best Western Airport Inn & Suites and Holiday Inn Express & Suites Lake Nona. MCO says the list (a file dated October 2024) is for information only, so confirm any shuttle directly.
One budget option needs a warning: La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Orlando Airport, at 7160 North Frontage Road, includes a free breakfast and accepts pets. Its shuttle, though, serves Terminals A and B only, on the hour from 5 a.m. to noon and 2 to 10 p.m., by same-day request (Wyndham, checked October 2026). Terminal C passengers ride the airport train to B first.
Orlando airport hotels with free parking and park-and-fly deals
At our last check, none of the shuttle hotels in this list showed free parking (TownePlace Suites Orlando Airport, also on MCO’s shuttle list, listed complimentary on-site parking for guests in April 2026); Hampton Inn & Suites called it complimentary in July 2025 but charged $15.98 a day by May 2026. Compare the rate for the nights you sleep and for the days your car sits while you travel.
| Option | Parking at last check | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Homewood Suites | $10 a day | Lowest published near the terminals |
| Hampton Inn & Suites | $15.98 a day | Complimentary in July 2025 |
| Hilton Garden Inn | $20 a day | Same rate listed after checkout |
| SpringHill Suites, Courtyard | $20 a day | SpringHill lists long-term parking |
| Marriott Airport Lakeside | $30 a day | Long-term parking mentioned |
| MCO economy lots | $14 per 24 hours | Shuttle to the terminals |
| MCO terminal garages | $24 per 24 hours | Walk to the terminals |
| SpringHill Suites Lake Nona | Free | No airport shuttle |
For a week away, an MCO economy lot works out to about $98 and a terminal garage up to $168. A hotel only beats that if its guest rate covers the days you’re gone, so ask before you book.
Bundles can change the math. Hyatt House’s Park and Fly covers one car for up to seven days, and Hyatt Place’s cruise packages include up to 14 days of parking. The Hyatt Regency sells Park, Stay & Go packages, and La Quinta sells Fly and Park packages for an extra fee.
Free parking is easier to find in Lake Nona (Marriott listed it at SpringHill Suites, Courtyard, Residence Inn and Aloft) and near the parks: see our list of Orlando hotels with free parking.
Where hotel shuttles pick up at MCO
Terminals A and B share the main building, with the Hyatt Regency between them. Terminal C, opened in 2022, is a separate building linked by the Terminal Link train. Airlines move, so check your booking.
| Terminal | Main airlines | Hotel shuttle spaces | Rideshare pickup |
|---|---|---|---|
| A | Southwest, Frontier, Avelo | A1–A4, A42–A45 (Level 1) | Level 2 arrivals curb |
| B | American, Delta, United, Alaska and others | B1–B4, B40 (Level 1) | Level 2 arrivals curb |
| C | JetBlue, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Emirates and others | C270–C271 (Level 1; drop-off Level 2) | Level 6 |
| Train station | Brightline | C7–C8 | Via Terminal C |
- Call after baggage claim: most vans run on request, and there’s no courtesy phone bank, so save your hotel’s number.
- Terminal C: the 24-hour Terminal Link runs from Terminal B to the train station in about 4 minutes, then it’s a roughly 1,200-foot walk through Garage C; a 24-hour bus also links B65 and C272. Terminal C is about 1 to 1.5 road miles farther from the hotels.
- No van coming: MCO’s approximate-rates table puts a taxi to the airport hotel area at $14 to $18.
For terminal maps, security tips and rental cars, see our Orlando airport guide.
Pre-cruise night: airport hotels with Port Canaveral transfers
Port Canaveral is about 42 miles east of MCO, mostly on the tolled SR 528. Flying in the day before gives you a buffer for delays. Go Port runs shared shuttles from most of the hotels above.
| Option | Cost at last check | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Go Port hotel-to-port shuttle | $29.99 per traveler | Pickups from 9:30 a.m. (Cambria) or 10:30 a.m. (Courtyard); book online ahead |
| Go Port Fly Snooze Cruise | From $189 to $250 at the airport-area hotels here | Airport ride, one night, port shuttle and return to MCO |
| Go Port from MCO, no hotel | From $29.99 | Same-day shuttles 10 a.m. to noon; flights must land by 11 a.m. |
| Taxi from MCO | About $115 | Airport estimate; one fare for the whole group |
| Drive and park at the port | $20 a day + tax | Arrival and departure days both count; cards only |
Go Port says shuttles can’t be booked at the hotel, and children count in your party. On October 13, 2026, Fly Snooze Cruise starting prices ran from $189 (DoubleTree) to $250 (Marriott Lakeside); Embassy Suites wasn’t listed. Confirm the party size each quote covers.
For other ways to the ships, see our Orlando to Port Canaveral guide or stay by the port with our hotels near Port Canaveral.
Getting from an airport hotel to Disney, Universal and I-Drive
None of these airport hotels lists a theme park shuttle, and MCO’s rate table shows hotel shuttles as “N/A” beyond the airport area.
| Option | Approximate cost | Goes to | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Taxi or rideshare | Taxi: I-Drive $38–$45, Disney area $52–$68 | Anywhere | Rideshare surge pricing |
| Mears Connect | From $16 adult, $13 child (3–9) each way at last check | Disney-area hotels | Starts at the terminal |
| Universal SuperStar Shuttle | $23 one way, $39 round trip per adult | Universal hotels | Picks up at Terminals A and C |
| LYNX bus | $2 a ride, $4.50 all day | I-Drive, downtown | Leaves from Terminal A, Level 1 |
| Rental car | Rental plus $35 a day to park at Disney or Universal | Everywhere | Tolls and hotel parking |
Mears and the SuperStar Shuttle start at the terminal, so ride your hotel van back to MCO first. Full comparisons are in our guides to Orlando airport to Disney World, Orlando airport to Universal and getting around Orlando without a car. If you drive, read our guide to Orlando toll roads first. If free park transport matters more than the airport, compare our hotels with free Disney World shuttles and the hotels with the best shuttles to Universal and Disney.
Should you sleep at the airport on the first night?
Yes, if you land late, fly home early or start with a cruise: after a midnight arrival, a short free shuttle beats a 25- to 40-minute drive with tired kids. No, if you land before evening: the parks are 11 to 22 road miles away, so you’d pay for a second transfer and repack.
To choose your main base, see our guide to the best areas to stay in Orlando, our cheap hotels near Disney World or, for a split trip, where to stay for Disney and Universal. Flying into Sanford instead? See our hotels near Orlando Sanford Airport.
How to choose an Orlando airport hotel
- Landing after midnight or flying before 6 a.m.: the Hyatt Regency needs no shuttle. Hilton Garden Inn, DoubleTree and Sheraton Suites list 24-hour shuttles.
- Free shuttle and breakfast: Embassy Suites, Hampton Inn & Suites, Homewood Suites, Hyatt House, Hyatt Place and SpringHill Suites. For breakfast near the parks instead, see our Orlando hotels with free breakfast.
- Suites and kitchens: Sheraton Suites has two-room suites, Embassy Suites and SpringHill Suites are all suites, and Homewood Suites and Hyatt House have kitchens.
- Leaving a car: Homewood has the lowest published daily rate. Hyatt House and Hyatt Place sell multi-day parking bundles.
- Cruising the next morning: a Go Port partner such as DoubleTree, Cambria or Courtyard, or Hyatt Place’s own package if you drive in.
- Under 21: skip Marriott Lakeside, SpringHill Suites Orlando Airport and the Lake Nona Wave (21+ check-in).
- Cheap night just to sleep: compare Hampton Inn & Suites, Courtyard and Homewood for your dates. For more budget picks near the parks, see our cheap hotels in Orlando.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a hotel inside Orlando International Airport?
Yes. The Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport is the only hotel connected to MCO. It’s built into the main Terminal A/B building, above the security checkpoint for Gates 70–129. The hotel is pre-security, so you can check in, eat or swim without a boarding pass. Terminal C and the Brightline station are a 4-minute ride on the Terminal Link train.
Which Orlando airport hotels have a free 24-hour shuttle?
Hilton Garden Inn Orlando Airport lists a complimentary shuttle running 24/7, and DoubleTree Orlando Airport a free 24-hour shuttle. Sheraton Suites lists a 24/7 shuttle on request, although the same page also calls it scheduled. Marriott Lakeside publishes runs every 15 to 30 minutes from 5 a.m. Most other hotels list a free shuttle without hours, so confirm before a red-eye.
Do any hotels near Orlando airport have free parking?
Rarely. Among the shuttle hotels next to MCO, TownePlace Suites Orlando Airport listed complimentary on-site parking for guests (Marriott, April 2026); of the hotels above, Homewood Suites had the lowest published rate at $10 a day, and Hampton Inn & Suites charged $15.98 after calling parking complimentary in 2025. In Lake Nona, about 15 minutes south, SpringHill Suites, Courtyard, Residence Inn and Aloft listed complimentary parking, but none of them runs an airport shuttle.
Where do hotel shuttles pick up at MCO?
On the Ground Transportation Level (Level 1). The spaces are A1–A4 and A42–A45 at Terminal A, B1–B4 and B40 at Terminal B, and C270–C271 at Terminal C, where drop-off is on Level 2. Brightline riders use C7–C8 at the train station. Most vans run on request, so call your hotel once you have your bags.
Can I park at an Orlando airport hotel while I fly or cruise?
Often, yes, but ask how the rate works. Hilton Garden Inn lists $20 a day for cars left after checkout, and Hyatt House sells Park and Fly for up to seven days. Hyatt Place’s cruise packages include up to 14 days of parking, and the Hyatt Regency sells Park, Stay & Go packages. Compare those with MCO’s economy lots at $14 per 24 hours.
How far are Orlando airport hotels from Disney World and Universal?
By road, the hotels north of the airport are about 12 miles from Universal’s garages and 11 from Epic Universe. EPCOT and the Magic Kingdom parking lot are about 20 to 22 miles away. Without heavy traffic, that’s roughly 25 minutes to Universal and 35 to 40 minutes to Disney. Hotels’ own mileage figures vary, so plan by road time.
Bottom line
Book the Hyatt Regency if you want to walk to your gate. Choose Hilton Garden Inn, DoubleTree or Sheraton Suites for round-the-clock vans, and Embassy Suites, Homewood or Hyatt House when breakfast and space matter. Drivers should price parking for every day the car stays, and cruisers should check Go Port’s bundles. Shuttle rules change often, so confirm before you land.
