Rosen Centre vs Rosen Plaza comes down to which end of the convention center you need, and whether a spa and a big pool matter more than cheaper parking and a short walk to Pointe Orlando. Both are Rosen Hotels & Resorts properties on International Drive. Both connect to the Orange County Convention Center’s West Building by a covered skywalk, and neither hotel charges a resort fee.

Rosen Centre is the larger hotel, with 1,334 rooms and suites, nine places to eat and drink, an Olympic-size pool and a full spa. Rosen Plaza has 799 rooms and suites, newly redesigned two-queen rooms, the Jack’s Place steakhouse and Pointe Orlando across the street. We checked both hotels’ pages, the convention center’s guide, both Booking.com listings and road routes in October 2026.

Quick answer: Book Rosen Centre if your event is near Hall A of the West Building, you want a spa and the bigger pool, or you plan more days at Epic Universe, SeaWorld or Disney. Book Rosen Plaza if your event is near Hall F, you drive (self-parking is $29 plus tax, not $40), or you want Pointe Orlando’s restaurants a few minutes away on foot. Both run a free scheduled Universal shuttle, and neither lists a free Disney shuttle.

Rosen Centre Hotel: the bigger, resort-style choice

Rosen Centre stands at 9840 International Drive, at the south end of the West Building. Its covered skywalk, which the hotel calls the Gary Sain Memorial sky bridge, lands near Hall A. The fact sheet lists 1,254 rooms and 80 suites, more than 160,000 square feet of meeting space and a 35,000-square-foot Grand Ballroom, so it is a convention venue in its own right.

For leisure time, the draws are the Olympic-size pool, The Spa at Rosen Centre and nine restaurants and lounges, including the Florida-themed Everglades Restaurant. Our full Rosen Centre Hotel review covers every room type and restaurant.

Rosen Plaza Hotel: smaller, cheaper to park, across from Pointe Orlando

Rosen Plaza is a 14-story hotel at 9700 International Drive, at the north end of the West Building. Its skywalk lands near Hall F. Pointe Orlando, an open-air complex with restaurants, a Regal multiplex and WonderWorks, is directly across the street.

The fact sheet lists 799 rooms and suites, more than 60,000 square feet of meeting space and seven dining and lounge options, led by Jack’s Place. The hotel says its two-queen rooms are newly redesigned in warm neutrals and soft greens, with walk-in showers. Our Rosen Plaza Hotel review has the full details.

Convention center access: Hall A or Hall F

Check your hall first. The Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) says the Rosen Centre Skywalk connects to the West Building near Hall A, and the Rosen Plaza Skywalk near Hall F, at the opposite end. Walking between the two hotels is about 0.85 mile, roughly 18 minutes.

Neither hotel has its own bridge to the North/South Building. The OCCC says the Oversight Pedestrian Bridge links that building with the West Building and Hyatt Regency Orlando, so you can still walk over from either Rosen hotel; allow extra time. If most of your sessions are there, compare the Hyatt Regency Orlando, which connects to both buildings, in our guide to hotels near the Orange County Convention Center.

Rooms can sell out: Booking.com showed no rooms at either hotel for our sample mid-November and early December 2026 dates, so book early.

Rooms and suites

Rosen Centre’s site describes two standard layouts: a King room with a chaise, and a Double Queen room. Both have a wall-mounted 50-inch TV above a charging bar, USB ports on the headboard and lamps, a mini-fridge and a coffee maker, in soft grays, white and teal.

Rosen Plaza’s site describes its standard room with two queen beds, a mini-fridge, a coffee maker, lighted makeup mirrors and a laptop-size safe. Both hotels’ contact pages treat a king bed as a special request, granted at check-in if available. Booking.com sells a King Room at Rosen Centre and a Deluxe King Room at Rosen Plaza, so book that room type if you need one bed.

Neither hotel publishes a size or a maximum occupancy for standard rooms. Booking.com lists the standard rooms at both hotels at 31 square meters (about 330 square feet). Neither standard-room amenity list includes a microwave.

  • Rosen Centre suites (80): 43 VIP suites with one or two bedrooms, 20 Executive Suites of 2,300 square feet, 14 hospitality suites and 3 presidential suites.
  • Rosen Plaza suites (36 on the fact sheet): 8 Plaza Suites with an optional adjoining bedroom and second bathroom, 10 Executive King Suites of 660 square feet, 6 Junior Suites, 10 hospitality suites and 2 presidential suites.

Rosen Plaza’s pages disagree on some counts: 32 or 36 suites, and 799 or 800 rooms. On our sample dates, Booking.com showed no suites at either hotel, so call the hotel for a suite. Rosen Centre lists 69 ADA rooms; Rosen Plaza lists 9 rooms with roll-in showers plus 20 more accessible rooms.

Pools, spa and fitness

Rosen Centre wins this round. Its recreation page calls the outdoor pool Olympic-size, the fact sheet adds two whirlpools, and the spa’s website says the pool and hot tub are seasonally heated. Harry’s Poolside Bar & Grill serves Cuban-Caribbean food beside the water.

Rosen Plaza has one seasonally heated tropical pool with a waterfall and a whirlpool spa, next to ’39 Poolside Bar & Grill, which has a daily happy hour and a Sunday brunch. Neither hotel lists a waterslide, lazy river, splash pad or kids’ club, and both list a pool lift.

The Spa at Rosen Centre opens daily at 9 a.m., with seven treatment rooms, a salon and a steam room; a 21% service charge is added to treatments. Rosen Plaza has no spa. Its attractions page points guests to The Spa at Rosen Centre, less than five minutes away, or The Spa at Shingle Creek.

Rosen Centre’s 24-hour fitness center costs $15 per stay unless you book a spa treatment. Guests aged 16 and 17 need a parent or guardian. Guests under 16 are not allowed. Rosen Plaza’s fitness center has Life Fitness machines and free weights; no fee is published, so ask. Both hotels offer preferred tee times at Shingle Creek Golf Club.

Dining and breakfast

Rosen Centre has nine restaurants and lounges under one roof (hours can change):

  • Everglades Restaurant: Florida steaks and seafood, 5:30 to 10 p.m., with an aquarium bar.
  • Café Gauguin: buffet; breakfast from 6:30 to 10 a.m.
  • 98Forty Tapas & Tequila and Banshoo Sushi Bar: both 5 to 10 p.m.
  • Also: Harry’s Poolside Bar & Grill, the Sam & Bubbe’s lobby lounge, Smoooth Java and Red’s Deli, whose market is open 24 hours.

Rosen Plaza counts seven dining and lounge options, including 3NINE, which is currently open only for private events:

  • Jack’s Place: a steakhouse lined with autographed celebrity caricatures, 5 to 10 p.m.
  • Café Matisse: buffet restaurant; breakfast from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m.
  • Also: Jack’s Lobby Bar from 5 p.m., Smoooth Java with Starbucks coffee from 6 a.m., and Lite Bite Express for deli items.

Breakfast was not included in the standard rates we saw at either hotel. At the time of writing, Booking.com offered it as an add-on for about $28 per person per night at both. Rosen Plaza’s edge is outside the hotel: Pointe Orlando’s restaurants are a short walk across International Drive.

Resort fees, parking and taxes

Neither hotel charges a resort fee. The footer of both websites says “No Resort Fee – Free Wi-Fi in Guestrooms.” Parking is where your bill changes:

ChargeRosen CentreRosen Plaza
Self-parking, per day$40 + tax$29 + tax
Valet, per day$53 + tax$39 + tax
Oversized vehicle$60 + tax per spacePriced by size and days
EV charging$0.35 per kWh$0.35 per kWh
Resort feeNoneNone

The prices apply to day and overnight guests and are subject to change; Booking.com shows the same self-parking with 6.5% tax included (US$42.60 and US$30.89 a day). Over four nights, self-parking adds $160 plus tax at Rosen Centre and $116 plus tax at Rosen Plaza, a $44 difference before tax.

Check the taxes too. For sample January and February 2027 dates, Booking.com’s price breakdown at both hotels listed 6% tax, a 6.5% “city tax” and a 1.10% “tourism fee,” about 13.6% to 14% on top of the room rate. We found no official source for the 1.10% charge. Neither hotel’s website mentions it, and Rosen Shingle Creek’s breakdown for the same January dates did not show it, so read the final total. Rates vary by season, availability and how far ahead you book.

At the time of writing, Rosen Centre’s Thrill Seeker’s Retreat package included free self-parking and two I-RIDE Trolley passes, and Rosen Plaza’s Epic Escape Package included complimentary self-parking. These perks come with rates booked on the hotels’ own websites, not with Booking.com reservations. For more fee-free stays, see our list of Orlando hotels with no resort fees.

Shuttles to Universal, Epic Universe and SeaWorld

Both hotels run a complimentary daily shuttle to Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and CityWalk (the original parks) and to Epic Universe, first come, first served. Sign up at the Concierge Desk; both hotels say shuttles must be booked 24 hours in advance. Returns stop at other hotels. Each hotel posts its schedule on two pages that do not fully agree; Rosen Centre’s location page gives the first times below:

Rosen Plaza leaves earlier for the original parks and lists a later last return from them. Both hotels note that Universal Volcano Bay is closed for maintenance from October 26, 2026, until on or before April 1, 2027.

Neither hotel is a Universal on-site hotel, so a room-only booking does not include Early Park Admission or Universal Express. If you drive, Universal’s standard parking was $35 a day including tax at last check.

For SeaWorld and Aquatica, both hotels send you through Universal: take the 8:25 a.m. (Rosen Centre) or 8:15 a.m. (Rosen Plaza) shuttle, then the single connector that leaves Universal at 10:05 a.m. SeaWorld is only about 2 to 3 road miles away, so a rideshare is simpler; the OCCC estimates a taxi from the convention center at $7 to $10.

Disney, the airport and driving distances

Neither hotel lists a free Disney shuttle, and neither is on Disney’s Early Theme Park Entry list. Rosen Centre’s accessibility page lists a wheelchair-accessible Disney shuttle through Florida Dolphin Tours, reserved 24 hours ahead, and Booking.com says both hotels offer airport and theme park transfers for a surcharge.

For the airport, both hotels strongly suggest rideshare (Rosen Centre names Uber and Lyft), although Rosen Plaza’s recreation page also says airport shuttle services are available. The OCCC estimates a taxi from the convention center to Orlando International Airport (MCO) at $45 to $50.

These are OSRM road routes on public roads to each park’s guest parking, checked in October 2026. Trips back can be a mile or more longer because of garage exits.

The hotels’ own “5 minutes to Universal, 10 minutes to Walt Disney World” figures are best-case times. Disney’s standard theme park parking was $35 a day at last check.

Walking to Pointe Orlando, ICON Park and the I-RIDE Trolley

Rosen Plaza is the walkable one. Pointe Orlando is across International Drive, about 0.4 mile or 8 minutes on foot to the center of the complex. From Rosen Centre, it is about 1 mile, roughly 22 minutes, although its location page says “one block.” ICON Park is about 1.2 miles on foot from Rosen Plaza and 1.7 miles from Rosen Centre.

The I-RIDE Trolley fills the gap. Both hotels appear on its official stop map. A ride costs $2, and the trolley runs daily from 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Our I-RIDE Trolley guide lists the stop numbers and the multi-day passes.

Pets, check-in and house rules

  • Dogs: the same Rosen policy at both: one dog per room in a limited number of dog-friendly rooms, $150 plus tax for up to seven nights, then $50 per extra night. Dogs cannot go to pools, restaurants, lounges or the spa.
  • Check-in: 3 p.m. at both, and check-out is at 11 a.m. Rosen Plaza charges $50 for early check-in or late check-out until 3 p.m., based on availability.
  • ID: both require a physical, government-issued ID and do not accept digital IDs. Booking.com adds that the lead guest must be at least 18.

What about Rosen Shingle Creek?

Rosen Shingle Creek is the third Rosen convention hotel: a 1,501-room resort at 9939 Universal Boulevard, about 2.1 road miles from Rosen Centre and 2.9 from Rosen Plaza, with no bridge to the convention center. It adds four outdoor pools, an 18-hole golf course, rooms the hotel puts at 436 gross square feet and three daily shuttle departures each to Universal’s original parks and Epic Universe. It charges no resort fee; self-parking is $36 plus tax.

For North/South Building events, you walk through the West Building and over the Oversight Pedestrian Bridge from either hotel.

Do Rosen Centre and Rosen Plaza charge a resort fee?

No. Both hotels’ websites state “No Resort Fee – Free Wi-Fi in Guestrooms.” You still pay for parking if you drive, plus room taxes. For sample January and February 2027 dates, Booking.com listed 6% tax, a 6.5% city tax and a 1.10% tourism fee at both hotels, so compare the final total.

How much is parking at Rosen Centre and Rosen Plaza?

At the time of writing, Rosen Centre charges $40 a day for self-parking and $53 for valet, and Rosen Plaza charges $29 and $39, all plus tax, for day and overnight guests.
