The best hotels near Kia Center Orlando are in the downtown core, where you can walk to an Orlando Magic game or a concert in 5 to 12 minutes and skip event parking altogether. The arena sits at 400 West Church Street, on the west side of downtown, so the closest hotels are a few blocks east on Garland Avenue and South Orange Avenue.

Walking distance matters here. Event parking costs extra, garages empty slowly after a sold-out show, and the arena does not allow regular bags. Inter.co Stadium (Orlando City and Orlando Pride soccer) is under half a mile west of the arena, and Camping World Stadium is about 1.4 miles away.

Below, seven hotels are ranked by walking time, with parking costs, pools, breakfast and event-night tips. For a wider look at the area, including Lake Eola and North Downtown, see our guide to the best hotels in downtown Orlando.

Quick answer: The AC Hotel Orlando Downtown is the closest hotel to the Kia Center, about a 5-minute walk. Hotel Beauden (the former Grand Bohemian) and Aloft Orlando Downtown are 7 to 8 minutes away on foot, and both have a pool. Families get the most space at Embassy Suites by Hilton Orlando Downtown, about 12 minutes away, which has suites and a free breakfast. On a tighter budget, the Crowne Plaza Orlando Downtown lists some of the cheapest parking in the group and a free local shuttle.

How we chose these hotels

We started with the hotels the Kia Center itself lists on its “What’s Around” page, then added the Residence Inn, a downtown hotel with full kitchens, for longer family stays. We ranked them by walking distance to the arena. Distances come from OpenStreetMap walking routes at an average pace of 3 mph, so treat them as estimates.

Parking, pools, breakfast and pet rules come from each hotel’s official page, in several cases from archived copies dated late 2025 to mid-2026. We did not stay at these hotels and do not use review scores. Rates vary by season, availability and how far ahead you book, and often jump on big event nights.

King guest room at Hotel Beauden with teal velvet curtains, armchair and a downtown Orlando view

This tower at 325 South Orange Avenue was the Grand Bohemian Orlando until it became Hotel Beauden, a change announced in early September 2026. It kept the same owners and team and is still part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection. Some maps still show the old name.

It has Art Deco interiors, Libra restaurant and Bar Libra, a lobby Starbucks and the rooftop Altira Pool + Lounge. The Dr. Phillips Center is about 5 minutes away on foot, handy if you pair a concert with a Broadway show.

  • Why stay: The most upscale hotel on this list, with a rooftop pool and an easy walk to Church Street’s bars and restaurants.

It is the most pet-friendly hotel here: Marriott’s page welcomes dogs, cats and fish, up to 80 lb and three pets per room.

  • Why stay: A pool and a lively bar for less than a luxury hotel, a short walk from both the arena and the Dr. Phillips Center.
  • Getting there / to the parks: About 0.4 miles to the Kia Center and 0.8 miles to Inter.co Stadium. No shuttle is listed. Universal is about 8 miles by car.

6. Crowne Plaza Orlando Downtown

Crowne Plaza Orlando Downtown tower lit at dusk beside I-4, with its entrance sign and parking lot

The Crowne Plaza at 304 West Colonial Drive is on the north edge of downtown, right by I-4. It is also on the Kia Center’s hotel list. IHG describes renovated rooms, Bite Bistro & Wine Bar, a hot breakfast, a 24-hour marketplace, a 24-hour fitness center and an outdoor pool with a whirlpool and sundeck.

The walk to the arena is about a mile (around 20 minutes). The hotel’s big plus is a complimentary local shuttle that IHG says covers places within a three-mile radius, which takes in the Kia Center and both stadiums. Ask the front desk whether it runs late on your event night before you count on it.

  • Why stay: The lowest listed parking of this group, a pool, and a free local shuttle.

It suits a longer stay with one event night. LYNX Central Station, on the free LYMMO Orange Line, is about 10 minutes away on foot.

Other options if these are sold out

Big concerts and playoff games fill downtown fast. The Hilton Garden Inn and Home2 Suites by Hilton Orlando Downtown share a building at 401 North Magnolia Avenue, about 0.9 miles from the arena, with a rooftop pool and valet-only parking. The DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando Downtown on Lake Ivanhoe is about 1.7 miles away, so you would drive or take a rideshare, but it is right on I-4. Our DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando Downtown review covers its rooftop pool and parking.

A new hotel is also coming. IHG announced a Kimpton hotel in Westcourt, the mixed-use district planned next to the Kia Center, with an opening planned for early 2027 when it was announced in 2024. It was not taking guests at the time of writing.

Kia Center event-night tips for hotel guests

Parking if you drive in

The Kia Center sells reserved parking in the ThreatLocker Garage (formerly the GEICO Garage), which connects to the arena by a 5th-floor pedestrian bridge, and in the 520 W Pine St. Garage, about 5 minutes away on foot. Buy it through Ticketmaster or the box office by 5 pm the day before. ThreatLocker event parking is good all day, but there is no re-entry.

At the time of writing, the City of Orlando lists event rates of $10 to $20 at most city garages and lots and $20 to $30 at the ThreatLocker Garage and Grove Park Lot. City on-street meters are free from 8 pm to 8 am and on Sundays, but check the signs. Staying nearby, it is usually simpler to leave the car at the hotel and walk.

Rideshare and bags

  • Rideshare zone: The arena’s Uber and Lyft drop-off and pickup spot is at the corner of Hughey Avenue and Pine Street, a short walk from the arena.
  • Bag policy: Bags are not allowed at Kia Center events. You may bring one small clutch of up to 4.5″ x 6.5″ x 1″, and medical and parent bags are screened. A nearby hotel room is the easiest place to leave everything else.
  • Doors: In general, doors open one hour before the event time on your ticket. Ticketmaster is the arena’s only authorized ticketing partner; the box office also sells tickets.

LYMMO and SunRail

The free LYMMO Grapefruit Line stops at the Kia Center and links it with Lake Eola, the Dr. Phillips Center and Inter.co Stadium, and the Orange Line serves Church Street, LYNX Central Station and Creative Village. LYNX lists both lines until 8:25 pm (hours may be extended for special events), so plan to walk or use a rideshare after an evening show.

SunRail’s Church Street station is about a block from the AC Hotel and a short walk from the arena. Trains run Monday to Friday only, and the last northbound weekday train leaves Church Street at about 10:30 pm at the time of writing, which is often before a concert ends. For the bigger picture, see our guide to getting around Orlando without a car.

Camping World Stadium and Inter.co Stadium from downtown hotels

The same hotels work for the two stadiums west of the arena, but only Inter.co Stadium is an easy walk.

Inter.co Stadium

Inter.co Stadium, at 655 West Church Street, opened in 2017. It is home to Orlando City (MLS) and the Orlando Pride (NWSL), and you may still see it called Inter&Co Stadium or Exploria Stadium. It is about a 9-minute walk west of the Kia Center. Gates usually open 60 minutes before kickoff, and only small bags or a clear tote (up to 12″ x 12″ x 6″) are allowed. At the time of writing, the stadium’s prepaid lots ran from $15 to $35 depending on the lot and the event.

Camping World Stadium

Camping World Stadium hosts bowl games, Monster Jam, big festivals and stadium concerts. For some events it runs a free shuttle from Central Boulevard between Garland and Hughey Avenues, about a block from the Kia Center and a short walk from most hotels above. Service runs until one hour after the event ends, but it is not offered for every event, so check the event guide.

A $400 million renovation is underway, due to finish in summer 2027. Events continue, but Church Street between Tampa and Rio Grande Avenues is closed to cars until about August 2027, so expect detours.

How to choose a hotel near the Kia Center

  • For the shortest walk, book the AC Hotel, then Hotel Beauden or Aloft. All three are under 10 minutes from the arena.
  • For a pool, pick Hotel Beauden (rooftop), Aloft, Marriott Orlando Downtown, Embassy Suites or the Crowne Plaza. The AC lists none.
  • For families, Embassy Suites (suites and breakfast) and the Residence Inn (kitchens and breakfast) give you the most space for the money.
  • For drivers, compare total parking costs. They range from $25 to $42 a night at these hotels, and several are valet only.
  • For a theme park day as well, remember that none of these hotels lists a park shuttle. Universal is about 8 to 9 miles away and Disney about 17 to 24 miles. If the parks are the main event, compare our guide to hotels near Universal Studios Orlando or the overview of where to stay in Orlando.

Book as soon as you have tickets. Playoff games and big concerts fill downtown hotels early, so a refundable rate is the safest choice.

Frequently asked questions

What is the closest hotel to the Kia Center in Orlando?

The AC Hotel Orlando Downtown at 333 South Garland Avenue is the closest, about a quarter mile or 5 minutes on foot. Hotel Beauden (the former Grand Bohemian) and Aloft Orlando Downtown on South Orange Avenue are next, at roughly 7 to 8 minutes. Embassy Suites and the Marriott Orlando Downtown are about 12 to 13 minutes away.

How much is parking at the Kia Center?

At the time of writing, the City of Orlando lists event rates of $20 to $30 at the ThreatLocker Garage next to the arena and $10 to $20 at most other city garages and lots, depending on the event. You can prepay through Ticketmaster or the box office until 5 pm the day before. Prices change by event, so check before you go.

Is the Kia Center the same as the Amway Center?

Yes. The arena at 400 West Church Street opened in 2010 as the Amway Center and was renamed the Kia Center on December 20, 2023. It is owned by the City of Orlando and is home to the Orlando Magic and the Orlando Solar Bears hockey team, plus concerts and family shows. Older maps and hotel pages may still use the Amway name.

Where do you get picked up by Uber or Lyft at the Kia Center?

The arena’s designated rideshare drop-off and pickup spot is at the corner of Hughey Avenue and Pine Street, a short walk from the arena. After a sold-out event, pickups can take a while. If your hotel is less than 10 minutes away on foot, walking back is often faster than waiting for a car.

Can you walk from downtown hotels to Camping World Stadium?

You can, but it is a long walk. Camping World Stadium is about 1.4 miles from the Kia Center and 1.5 to 2.4 miles from the hotels in this guide, or roughly 30 to 47 minutes on foot. For some events the stadium runs a free shuttle from Central Boulevard between Garland and Hughey Avenues, about a block from the arena. Check the event guide first.

Bottom line

For a game or concert at the Kia Center, stay close enough to walk. The AC Hotel Orlando Downtown is the closest. Hotel Beauden and Aloft add a pool within about 8 minutes, and Embassy Suites is the best family pick with suites and free breakfast. Leave the car at the hotel and carry only a small clutch.
