The best hotels near Camping World Stadium are in downtown Orlando, about 1.3 to 2 miles east of the stadium. From there you can walk to the game in roughly half an hour or, for events that offer it, ride the free stadium shuttle from a stop a few blocks from your room. The stadium sits at 1 Citrus Bowl Place, west of downtown and just north of State Road 408, and every hotel on its own “Hotels & Dining” page is downtown.

The stadium hosts the Citrus Bowl, the Pop-Tarts Bowl, the Florida Classic, Monster Jam, festivals and stadium concerts, and in 2027 it becomes the temporary home of the Jacksonville Jaguars. A $400 million renovation runs until summer 2027. Events go on, but some nearby streets are closed and this season’s bowl games are played at reduced capacity.

Below are five downtown hotels ranked by walking distance, plus two Universal and International Drive bases for fans who want theme parks too, followed by the official shuttle, parking and bag rules. If your event is at the downtown arena, see our guide to hotels near the Kia Center instead.

Quick answer: For the shortest trip, book the AC Hotel Orlando Downtown: the free stadium shuttle stop is about a 5-minute walk away, and the stadium is about 1.3 miles on foot. Hotel Beauden (the former Grand Bohemian) adds a rooftop pool, Embassy Suites Downtown suits families with suites and free breakfast, and the Crowne Plaza Orlando-Downtown lists a free local shuttle. For theme parks too, the DoubleTree at the Entrance to Universal is about 15 minutes away by car without traffic.

How we chose these hotels

We started with the hotels on Camping World Stadium’s “Hotels & Dining” page (AC, Aloft, Grand Bohemian and Marriott Orlando Downtown) and the Citrus Bowl’s lodging partners, which include Marriott Orlando Downtown and Hyatt Regency Orlando. We added the Crowne Plaza for its local shuttle and Embassy Suites for families.

Walking times run from each hotel to Gate A, at the stadium’s northeast corner, and to the free shuttle stop, using OpenStreetMap routing at 3 mph. Driving distances come from OSRM without event traffic. Parking, pools and policies come from each hotel’s official page, several from archived copies dated January to September 2026. We did not stay at these hotels and don’t use review scores. Rates vary by season, availability and how far ahead you book, and they often rise on bowl weekends.

1. AC Hotel Orlando Downtown

The AC fills floors 18 to 25 of the Truist Bank building at 333 South Garland Avenue, and it is the closest hotel to the stadium’s free shuttle: the pickup on Central Boulevard between Garland and Hughey Avenues is about 0.3 miles away. On foot, Gate A is about 1.3 miles west.

Marriott lists 180 European-style rooms, AC Kitchen, the AC Lounge, a 24-hour gym and the AC Sky Bar on an outdoor 18th-floor terrace. The stadium includes the AC on its own hotel page, and SunRail’s Church Street station is nearby.

  • Good to know: Valet only, $30 a day at our last check (January 2026), with a 6’8″ height limit. No pool is listed, pets are not allowed and the minimum check-in age is 21.

2. Hotel Beauden, Autograph Collection

This tower at 325 South Orange Avenue was the Grand Bohemian Orlando and is still part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection; the stadium’s hotel page still uses the old name. The hotel’s site describes Art Deco interiors, Libra restaurant, Bar Libra, a lobby Starbucks and the Altira Pool + Lounge high above the street. Our Grand Bohemian Orlando review covers the rooms and the rename.

  • Why stay: The most upscale pick here, with a rooftop pool for the afternoon before a night game or concert.
  • Getting there / to the parks: The shuttle stop is about 8 minutes away on foot, and the stadium about 1.5 miles. No park shuttle is listed. Universal’s garages are about 9 miles away by car.
  • Good to know: On the Marriott page we checked before the rename (May 2026), valet was $42 a day ($25 for daytime parking), the pool was heated, one pet up to 40 lb was allowed for a $150 fee per stay (the same page also listed a two-pet maximum), and the check-in age was 21. Confirm current terms.

Best for: Couples, special occasions and fans pairing a big game with dinner downtown.

This 297-room hotel at 400 West Livingston Street, in Creative Village, is the only downtown hotel on both the stadium’s hotel page and the Citrus Bowl’s partner list. Marriott calls the stadium “a short walk” away; by our route it is about 1.6 miles, a little over half an hour on foot.

On site you’ll find Shade Bar and Grill (with TVs for game day), a Starbucks, an outdoor pool listed as open 7 am to 7 pm, a 24-hour gym and an M Club lounge for qualifying Bonvoy elite members or lounge-access rooms.

4. Embassy Suites by Hilton Orlando Downtown

  • Why stay: Suites plus included breakfast make it a strong choice for a family of four.
  • Getting there / to the parks: The shuttle stop is about 9 minutes away on foot, and the stadium about 1.7 miles. No park shuttle is listed. Universal’s garages are about 10 miles away by car.

5. Crowne Plaza Orlando-Downtown

The Crowne Plaza at 304 West Colonial Drive sits on the north edge of downtown, right by I-4. Its big plus: IHG says its complimentary shuttle covers attractions within a three-mile radius, mentions Camping World Stadium on the same page and notes a shuttle to neighboring Tinker Field for EDC. Ask the front desk whether it runs at your event’s start and end times.

IHG also lists renovated rooms and suites, Bite Bistro & Wine Bar, a 24-hour Marketplace, an outdoor pool and a fitness center. The stadium is about 2 miles away on foot, so walking is a stretch.

  • Why stay: The lowest listed parking in this group, a pool and a free local shuttle.
  • Getting there / to the parks: Hotel shuttle or a rideshare of about 2.5 miles. Universal’s garages are about 10 miles away by car, and the stadium’s directions for drivers heading west on I-4 use the Colonial Drive exit beside the hotel.

6. DoubleTree by Hilton at the Entrance to Universal Orlando

If your trip mixes a bowl game with Universal, this is the easiest base. The DoubleTree at 5780 Major Boulevard is a Universal Orlando Partner Hotel with a Universal desk in the lobby; Hilton calls the parks a short walk away and lists CityWalk at about half a mile. It has an outdoor pool with a pool bar, a cafe and a restaurant. Our DoubleTree Universal review has the details.

  • Why stay: Walk to Universal on park days and reach the stadium in about 15 minutes (8 miles via I-4) without traffic.

Other options if these are sold out

Aloft Orlando Downtown, at 500 South Orange Avenue, is on the stadium’s hotel list and has an outdoor pool. Its Marriott page calls the stadium “steps away”, but it is about 1.6 miles on foot (11 minutes from the shuttle stop). Valet was $30 a day at our last check (June 2026). See available rooms at Aloft Orlando Downtown.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando Downtown on Lake Ivanhoe is about 2.7 miles away by car (search the DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando Downtown on Booking.com). The other Citrus Bowl partners (Hilton Orlando, Orlando World Center Marriott, Rosen Shingle Creek and Renaissance at SeaWorld) are resorts 10 to 17 miles south by road. Camping World Stadium event-day guide for hotel guests

The free downtown shuttle

For some events, including the bowl games, the stadium runs a free shuttle from Central Boulevard between Garland and Hughey Avenues to near Gate A. Its shuttle page puts the drop-off at Central Boulevard and Rio Grande Avenue, while its parking page says Nashville and Church Streets, so follow event signs. Start times vary, and service runs until one hour after the event ends. Shuttles are not offered for every event, so check your event guide. For the most recent Citrus Bowl, shuttles started at 10 am, and fans without a stadium parking permit were encouraged to park downtown and ride.

Parking and road closures

  • Stadium lots: Lettered and numbered lots surround the stadium, but not all open for every event. Advance parking is sold through Ticketmaster, and on bowl game days the lots are reserved for permit holders, RVs, buses and disabled parking.
  • Lot rules: Tailgating is allowed in most lots. Overnight parking is prohibited, and parking passes are not valid for re-entry.
  • Downtown garages: The City of Orlando lists event rates of $10 to $20 at its garages and lots ($20 to $30 at the ThreatLocker garage and Grove Park lot) at the time of writing. Prepaid event parking is valid from two hours before the event until 5:29 am the next day.
  • Closures: Church Street between Tampa and Rio Grande Avenues is closed to cars until about August 2027 (its north sidewalk stays open). Rio Grande Avenue (Church to Anderson) and South Street (Rio Grande to Norton) have also been closed since March 2, 2026, with the City listing all three closures through August 2027.

Rideshare

For the most recent Citrus Bowl, Florida Citrus Sports named two rideshare zones: the Jones High School admin lot (Lot 9) on Rio Grande Avenue, and Central Boulevard at Hughey Avenue downtown. Other events may differ. After a sellout, a hotel within walking distance of the shuttle often beats waiting for a car.

Bags and stadium rules

  • Clear bags: When the stadium’s clear-bag policy applies (it is set per event), clear bags up to 14″ x 14″ x 6″ or a one-gallon clear freezer bag, plus a small clutch; other bags over 4.5″ x 6.5″ are not allowed. The Citrus Bowl FAQ still cites a 12″ x 6″ x 12″ clear bag, so that size is the safe choice.
  • Not allowed: Umbrellas, backpacks, coolers, outside food and drink, and cameras with detachable lenses. Events are rain or shine, so pack a poncho.
  • Families: Children ages 2 and up need a ticket, strollers are checked at guest services near section 148, and there is no re-entry.
  • Box office: The stadium box office opens only on event days; otherwise use the Kia Center box office.

LYMMO downtown buses and SunRail don’t stop at the stadium, and SunRail’s regular service runs Monday to Friday only. Our guide to getting around Orlando without a car explains the alternatives.

How to choose a hotel near Camping World Stadium

  • For the easiest trip, stay near the shuttle stop: the AC, Hotel Beauden and Embassy Suites are all under 10 minutes away on foot.
  • For a pool, pick Hotel Beauden (rooftop), Marriott Orlando Downtown, Embassy Suites or the Crowne Plaza.
  • For families, Embassy Suites or the Hyatt Regency’s Family Suites give you the most room.
  • For drivers, the Crowne Plaza lists the cheapest hotel self-parking here, and several downtown hotels are valet only.
  • For theme parks too, stay near Universal and rideshare to the game. If you’re still choosing an area, start with where to stay in Orlando.

Book as soon as the matchup or concert is announced, ideally at a refundable rate.

Frequently asked questions

What is the closest hotel to Camping World Stadium?

The stadium’s own hotel page lists only downtown hotels, all more than a mile away. The closest practical choice is the AC Hotel Orlando Downtown, about 1.3 miles from Gate A on foot and about a 5-minute walk from the free stadium shuttle stop on Central Boulevard. Hotel Beauden, Marriott Orlando Downtown and Embassy Suites are 1.5 to 1.7 miles away.

Can you walk to Camping World Stadium from downtown Orlando?

Yes, if you don’t mind a longer walk. From downtown hotels it is about 1.3 to 2 miles, or roughly 26 to 40 minutes on foot. Church Street next to the stadium is closed to cars until about August 2027, but its north sidewalk stays open. After a late game, many fans find the free shuttle or a rideshare easier.

Is there a free shuttle to Camping World Stadium?

For some events, yes. The free downtown shuttle picks up on Central Boulevard between Garland and Hughey Avenues and drops off near Gate A. It runs until one hour after the event ends. Start times vary, and the stadium says shuttles are not offered for every event, so check the event page before you rely on it.

Where do you park for events at Camping World Stadium?

The stadium has numbered and lettered lots around the venue, sold in advance through Ticketmaster, but not every lot opens for every event. On bowl game days the lots are reserved for permit holders. You can also park in a city garage downtown, where event rates run $10 to $20 at the time of writing, and ride the free shuttle.

What bags are allowed at Camping World Stadium?

The stadium allows clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags up to 14″ x 14″ x 6″, or a one-gallon clear freezer bag, plus a small clutch. Backpacks, coolers and umbrellas are not allowed. The Citrus Bowl FAQ still mentions a 12″ x 6″ x 12″ clear bag, so a bag that size is the safest choice. Medical and parent bags may be allowed after inspection.

How far is Camping World Stadium from Universal Orlando?

By road, the stadium is about 8 to 9 miles from the Universal Orlando parking garages, or roughly 15 to 20 minutes without traffic via I-4. Allow much longer on event days. That’s why a Universal-area hotel such as the DoubleTree at the Entrance to Universal works well for fans who want park days and a game on the same trip.

Bottom line

For a game or concert at Camping World Stadium, stay downtown near the free shuttle stop. The AC Hotel Orlando Downtown is the easiest choice, Hotel Beauden adds a rooftop pool, and Embassy Suites is the family pick with suites and free breakfast. If theme parks matter as much as the game, base yourself near Universal and take a rideshare of about 15 minutes (without traffic) on game day.
