The most reliable Orlando hotels with balconies are the ones whose official room pages promise outdoor space for every room, every suite or a specific category you can book, not the ones that only hint at it in photos. We read those pages for nine resorts near Walt Disney World, Universal and SeaWorld and noted exactly which rooms come with a balcony, patio or terrace.

That detail matters because a “balcony” in Orlando can mean a high-floor perch facing distant Disney fireworks, a ground-floor patio, a screened lanai or even a balcony over an indoor garden. Some hotels include one in every room; others only in suites or certain views.

If watching fireworks is your main goal, pair this list with our guide to hotels with views of Disney fireworks, which goes deeper into view categories.

Quick answer: For a balcony in every room near Disney, book Four Seasons Resort Orlando (a Park View room for the fireworks) or Orlando World Center Marriott. Families who need space should look at Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa or Club Wyndham Bonnet Creek, where every suite has a balcony or patio. Near Universal, Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa has one in most villa types.

How we chose these hotels

  • Official wording only: each hotel’s own room pages (or Marriott’s room data) had to say that all rooms, most rooms, all suites or a named, bookable category include a balcony, patio or terrace. Each entry below says which of those applies.
  • Location: all nine are a short drive from at least one major theme park; distances are rounded road miles (OSRM) to park parking areas.
  • Verified costs and transport: resort fees, parking and shuttles come from official pages checked in October 2026 or their latest archived copies; they change often.
  • A spread of styles: five-star resorts sit alongside condo-style suites and villas with kitchens.

We used no review scores or star ratings, and a balcony “on request” did not count.

1. Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort

Four Seasons sits inside Disney’s gated Golden Oak community, and its room pages list outdoor space in every standard category. The Resort Room, Lake View Room and Golden Oak View Room each have a private balcony, and the Park View Room has a furnished terrace. All four are 500 square feet and sleep three adults, or two adults and two children.

Park View Rooms, on the 6th to 16th floors, are the ones to book for the show: the resort says you can watch the nightly Walt Disney World fireworks from the terrace. Resort Rooms sit on the 2nd to 4th floors with obstructed views, so the balcony is there but the view is not the selling point. Suites such as the Lake View Deluxe Suite also have a private balcony, and the Grand Suite has two.

  • Why stay: a balcony or terrace in every guest room category, fireworks views from Park View rooms and Disney’s Early Theme Park Entry at all four parks (see our list of non-Disney hotels with Early Theme Park Entry).
  • Getting there / to the parks: complimentary scheduled buses run to Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom about once an hour, per the resort. By road it’s about 4 miles to the Magic Kingdom parking area and 5 to 5.5 miles to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios.
  • Good to know: parking is valet only, for a fee. Four Seasons’ rate terms say prices may not include mandatory property fees such as resort fees, so check the total before paying. Rooms and balconies are non-smoking, with a $300 cleaning fee. The resort also notes that accessible Golden Oak View rooms and suites face an adjacent residential development and suggests Lake View or Park View rooms for quiet.

Best for: couples and families who want a polished balcony and fireworks view near Disney without a Disney-owned hotel.

2. Orlando World Center Marriott

Marriott’s room listing for this huge resort on World Center Drive shows a balcony on every room type, from the 425-square-foot standard rooms with one king or two queens (up to four guests) to the two-bedroom Governor Suite, which sleeps up to eight. The hotel suggests a pool-view room if you want to watch its nightly laser light show from the balcony, and its premium views take in the pools and the River Falls water park.

Families should look at the 1,200-square-foot bunk bed suite, which lists two balconies and sleeps up to five. Marriott’s listing still showed a balcony for all 17 room types in October 2026, but confirm your room type.

  • Why stay: a balcony in every room type, big pools and a water park on site, and a scheduled Disney shuttle.
  • Getting there / to the parks: a scheduled shuttle to all four Disney parks and Disney Springs is included in the resort fee; you can reserve seats up to three days ahead. By road it’s about 4.5 miles to Disney Springs, 6 to EPCOT’s parking, 7 to the Magic Kingdom parking area and 10.5 to Universal.
  • Good to know: the resort fee was $47 plus tax per night at last check. Self-parking is $40 and valet $61 per day, plus tax. The hotel is not on Disney’s Early Theme Park Entry list.

Best for: pool-loving families and groups who want a balcony in a standard room without paying for a suite.

3. Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace Disney Springs Area

The hotel says all suites and most guest rooms have a private balcony, with views over Disney Springs and Walt Disney World. Rooms are split between the Tower and the Island Building, and both are within walking distance of Disney Springs.

The category to know is the EPCOT Fireworks View guest room in the Tower, with two queens or one king, a sitting area and, again, “most with private balcony”. Because “most” is not “all”, book a suite if a balcony is non-negotiable.

  • Why stay: Disney Springs on foot, a balcony in every suite and most rooms, EPCOT fireworks-view rooms and Early Theme Park Entry at the Disney parks.
  • Getting there / to the parks: the daily resort charge includes a Disney parks shuttle. By road it’s about 5 miles to EPCOT’s parking, 5.5 to the Magic Kingdom parking area and 9.5 to Universal.
  • Good to know: the resort charge is $41 plus tax per room, per night, and also covers internet and the Float Lagoon. Self-parking is $38 and valet $48 per night, plus tax.

Best for: couples and families who want Disney Springs dinners and a balcony view, with or without a car.

4. The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes

The Grande Lakes site describes each Ritz-Carlton room with a balcony: the 480-square-foot Lakefront, Lake View and Resort View rooms (one king or two queens) all list a private balcony, the 960-square-foot Executive Suites have two, and the Presidential Suites have five. The amenity lists for several categories on the same page say “balcony in select rooms”, though, so ask the resort to confirm for your room type.

Views are of the lakes, golf course, pool and gardens rather than fireworks. It is also one of our romantic hotels in Orlando for couples.

  • Why stay: lake and garden views from balcony rooms, a luxury resort shared with the JW Marriott next door, and a short drive to SeaWorld and Epic Universe.
  • Getting there / to the parks: the resort fee includes shuttles to SeaWorld, Walt Disney World and Universal, reserved 24 hours ahead. By road it’s about 3 miles to SeaWorld, 5 to 6 to Epic Universe, 9 to Universal’s garages and about 13.5 miles to EPCOT.
  • Good to know: the resort fee is $55 plus tax per night. Valet parking is $58 plus tax per day; self-parking is only available at the JW Marriott, for $42 plus tax.

Best for: couples and SeaWorld or Epic Universe visitors who want a lake-view balcony and a resort day between parks.

5. Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa

The resort’s FAQ is refreshingly direct: all suites have their own private balcony furnished with a table and chairs, though views vary by unit. Every suite also has a full kitchen and an in-suite washer and dryer.

To lock in a view, book the category. Pool View suites look over the Pirates’ Plunge Pool, and Firework View suites face Disney fireworks “in the distance”. Two-bedroom suites are 1,080 square feet for up to six, and three-bedroom Firework View suites are 1,253 square feet for up to eight. If the kitchen matters as much as the balcony, compare our Orlando hotels with kitchens.

  • Why stay: a balcony in every suite, firework-view categories and kitchen space for big families.
  • Getting there / to the parks: a complimentary third-party shuttle runs to the Walt Disney World parks and Universal; book it online 24 hours ahead with the promo code you get at check-in. By road it’s just over 4 miles to Disney Springs, 6 to the Hollywood Studios parking, 7 to EPCOT’s and 10.5 to Universal. The resort’s “less than 5 miles” to Walt Disney World holds for Disney Springs, not the park lots.
  • Good to know: a daily resort fee (the amount isn’t published on the resort’s site) covers self-parking for up to two vehicles per suite, Wi-Fi and local calls. There are no rollaway beds, and smoking isn’t allowed in suites.

Best for: families of six to eight who want a balcony, a kitchen and a fireworks view for less than a luxury resort.

6. Club Wyndham Bonnet Creek

Every suite type Club Wyndham lists at this resort, from one-bedroom Deluxe units to four-bedroom Presidential suites, includes a balcony or patio among its room amenities, along with a full kitchen and an in-unit washer and dryer. Suites sleep 4 to 12 people depending on size.

The resort sits in the Bonnet Creek area next to Walt Disney World, which Club Wyndham says is less than a mile away. For more multi-bedroom options, see our guide to 2- and 3-bedroom suites near Disney World.

  • Why stay: a balcony or patio in every suite type, one to four bedrooms and one of the shortest drives to Disney on this list.
  • Getting there / to the parks: plan on driving, because the official page lists no Disney shuttle. By road it’s about 3 miles to Disney Springs, 3.5 to the Hollywood Studios and EPCOT parking areas and 5.5 to Magic Kingdom’s.
  • Good to know: self-parking is $20 per vehicle per day for non-owners, a $250 security deposit is taken at check-in, and the resort is cashless. At the time of writing, Tower 5 was closed for renovation until November 20, 2026, and its pool and lazy river until December 1, 2026, so ask which tower you’ll get.

Best for: multigenerational groups with a car who want room to spread out, indoors and out.

7. Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa

Westgate lists a private balcony or patio for the Studio Villa (493 square feet, up to four guests), the One-Bedroom Deluxe Villa (800 square feet) and the Two-Bedroom Villa (1,200 square feet, up to eight). The three- and four-bedroom villas list two balconies or patios (three in the Four-Bedroom Presidential Villa), and Westgate mentions lake views for the larger villas. The exception is the 400-square-foot One-Bedroom Villa, whose listing doesn’t mention outdoor space.

The resort sits on a lake a short drive south of Universal, with seven pools and the pirate-themed Treasure Cove water park.

  • Why stay: a balcony or patio in most villa types, lake views from the larger villas and a free Universal shuttle.
  • Getting there / to the parks: registered guests get a free shuttle to Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, CityWalk and Epic Universe; reserve seats ahead through the front desk. By road it’s about 4.5 miles to Universal’s garages, 5 to 6 to Epic Universe, 10 to EPCOT’s parking and 11 to Magic Kingdom’s.
  • Good to know: the resort fee is $29.99 plus tax per night, and the minimum check-in age is 21. Westgate’s terms say self-parking is free for standard cars unless stated otherwise; confirm when you book.

Best for: Universal-focused families and groups who want villa space and a balcony or patio, ideally facing the lake.

8. Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Orange Lake Resort

Orange Lake’s villa pages list a patio or balcony among the features “most villas” have, screened on the River Island and North Village pages. Accommodations range from 430-square-foot studios for up to five to four-bedroom villas of 2,575 square feet for up to 16; the West Village studio and one-bedroom Clubhouse pages don’t mention outdoor space, so choose a larger villa if it matters.

The resort spreads over about 1,100 acres in four villages, with a 1,200-foot lazy river, four pool areas, golf and an internal shuttle, covered by the resort fee, every 20 minutes.

  • Why stay: villa space with a patio or balcony, a big pool complex and golf, just west of Disney on US-192.
  • Getting there / to the parks: you’ll want a car. By road it’s about 5 miles from the main entrance to Animal Kingdom’s parking, 8 to Hollywood Studios, 9.5 to EPCOT and 10 to the Magic Kingdom parking area.
  • Good to know: rates exclude a $45 per night resort fee and 12.5% tax at the time of writing; the fee includes Wi-Fi and parking for up to two vehicles per reservation. The main Splash Lagoon pool in North Village was also partially closed for renovations. The resort is not on Disney’s Early Theme Park Entry list.

Best for: long stays and multigenerational groups who value villa space and a patio more than a high-floor view.

9. Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center

Gaylord’s twist is a balcony indoors. Its Emerald Bay Main Atrium View, Main Atrium View and Everglades or Key West Atrium View rooms all come with a balcony over acres of indoor gardens under a glass roof. Water Park View rooms in the Gulf Coast Tower face the Cypress Springs water park instead, and Marriott’s description doesn’t mention a balcony there.

The glass roof means a summer downpour won’t chase you inside, but you also won’t get a fireworks view.

  • Why stay: a balcony that works rain or shine, plus a water park and a Disney shuttle.
  • Getting there / to the parks: the resort fee includes a shuttle to all four Disney parks and Disney Springs, bookable up to five days ahead. By road it’s about 3 miles to the Hollywood Studios parking, 4.5 to Animal Kingdom’s, 6.5 to EPCOT’s and 7 to Magic Kingdom’s.
  • Good to know: the resort fee is $45 plus tax per day. Self-parking was $40 and valet $55 per day plus tax at last check, and the resort is cashless. Book an atrium-view category, not a water park view, if you want the balcony.

Best for: families traveling in the rainy season and anyone who wants a balcony that the weather can’t ruin.

How to choose a balcony room in Orlando

  • Book the category, not a request: when a hotel says “most” or “select” rooms have a balcony, a request is noted but not promised. Lake Buena Vista Resort Village, for example, says the way to guarantee a pool or fireworks view is to book that room type.
  • Look for named fireworks views: Four Seasons Park View, Buena Vista Palace EPCOT Fireworks View and LBV Firework View rooms are sold as their own categories. Expect the show in the distance, not overhead.
  • Patio or balcony: condo-style resorts often list “balcony or patio”, which can mean a ground-floor patio at lawn level. Ask for an upper floor if you want height and a view.
  • Screened lanais: at Caribe Royale Orlando, the two-bedroom villas have a furnished screened lanai, but the one-bedroom suites don’t list one. At last check, its resort fee was $38 plus tax and self-parking $36. See villa rates at Caribe Royale Orlando
  • Smoking rules: balconies are usually non-smoking. Four Seasons charges a $300 cleaning fee, and Lake Buena Vista Resort Village allows smoking only in designated outdoor areas.
  • Disney-owned resorts: they aren’t sold on Booking.com; check the room description on Disney’s site.

Frequently asked questions

Which Orlando hotels have a balcony in every room?

Among the hotels we checked, Four Seasons Resort Orlando lists a private balcony or terrace for every guest room category, and Marriott’s room data for Orlando World Center Marriott shows a balcony on every room type. Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa says all of its suites have one, and Club Wyndham Bonnet Creek lists a balcony or patio for every suite type. Confirm when you book, since room data can change.

Can you see Disney fireworks from a hotel balcony in Orlando?

Yes, from some rooms. Four Seasons sells Park View rooms on the 6th to 16th floors with a terrace facing the nightly Walt Disney World fireworks, Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace has EPCOT Fireworks View rooms in its Tower, and Lake Buena Vista Resort Village sells Firework View suites with the show in the distance. Book that exact category rather than hoping for an upgrade.

Will a hotel guarantee a balcony if I request one?

Usually not. When a hotel says “most rooms” or “select rooms” have a balcony, a request is noted but not promised. The safer route is to book a room type whose description includes a balcony, or a resort where every unit has one, and then check that your confirmation shows that room type before you arrive.

Are there hotels near Universal with balconies?

Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa, about 4.5 miles by road from Universal’s garages, lists a balcony or patio for most villa types and runs a free shuttle to Universal’s parks, including Epic Universe. The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes, about 9 miles from Universal and 5 to 6 from Epic Universe, describes its rooms with private balconies, although some amenity lists say “select rooms”.

Is a patio the same as a balcony at Orlando resorts?

Not quite. Condo-style resorts often say “balcony or patio” because ground-floor units open onto a patio at lawn or pool level instead of an elevated balcony. Most River Island villas at Orange Lake list a screened patio or balcony, and Caribe Royale’s two-bedroom villas have a screened lanai. If you want height and a view, ask for an upper floor.

Bottom line

If you want a balcony you can count on, pick a hotel that promises one for your exact room type: Four Seasons Resort Orlando or Orlando World Center Marriott for every room near Disney, Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa or Club Wyndham Bonnet Creek for suites, and Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa near Universal. Book the view category you want and add resort fees and parking to your budget. Rates vary by season, availability and how far ahead you book.
