Meliá Orlando Celebration is a 280-room resort-style hotel in Celebration, the town originally created by The Walt Disney Company, and its best feature is space: nearly all of its 11 room types are one- or two-bedroom suites, most with kitchens and balconies, set around a 360-degree pool. Disney lists it as a Walt Disney World Good Neighbor Hotel with a complimentary scheduled shuttle to the parks.

The fine print matters more here than at most hotels: Meliá’s site doesn’t mention a resort fee, but Booking.com adds a nightly charge, and the shuttle and happy-hour perks carry MeliáRewards conditions. This review separates what is confirmed from what conflicts, using Meliá’s and Disney’s official pages and the Booking.com listing, checked in October 2026.

Quick answer: Book Meliá Orlando Celebration if you want a real kitchen, a separate living room and a calm base about 5 to 8 miles from the Disney park lots. Skip it if you want Early Entry, a Universal-focused stay or a walk to Celebration’s lakeside town center (about 1.7 miles away). Before paying, budget for the $32-a-night charge (plus tax) Booking.com added at last check, and confirm whether parking is included and whether the shuttle covers your booking.

Meliá Orlando Celebration at a glance

  • Area/address: 225 Celebration Place, Celebration (Orlando mailing address, 34747), in Osceola County, on Celebration’s business and health campus side rather than in the lakeside town center.
  • Distances: about 5.6 miles by road to Animal Kingdom’s parking, 6 to 7 miles to EPCOT’s main lot, 7.8 miles to Magic Kingdom’s Transportation and Ticket Center and 12.5 miles to Universal.
  • Rooms: a 29 m² (312 sq ft) king room, plus one- and two-bedroom suites of 64 to 99 m² (about 690 to 1,070 sq ft), most with a kitchen and a sofa bed.
  • Pools: one large 360-degree vanishing-edge outdoor pool, listed as heated, with cabanas for The Level guests.
  • Breakfast and dining: The Wilson serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus room service and a daily 4 to 5 PM happy hour (21 and over). Breakfast is included with The Level suites; otherwise it depends on your rate.
  • Parking: Meliá says one space is included, subject to availability; check your rate (see conflicts below).
  • Resort fee: none on Meliá’s or Disney’s pages, but Booking.com’s price breakdown showed a $32 nightly service charge plus tax in October 2026.
  • Park perks: Disney Good Neighbor Hotel with a complimentary scheduled shuttle; not on Disney’s Early Entry list.
  • Best for: families who want a kitchen suite near Disney’s south side.

Location and distances

The hotel sits on Celebration Place, the office and medical side of Celebration, next to the AdventHealth Celebration campus and just off US-192 (Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway). It’s quieter than the US-192 strip but isn’t in the town center. Celebration’s Market Street is about 1.7 miles on foot (35 to 40 minutes), so most guests drive. Our guide to the best hotels in Celebration, Florida covers the town center.

Meliá puts Walt Disney World 4.5 km (2.8 miles) away and Epic Universe 13 km (about 8 miles). By road to where you actually park, the park drives are longer:

Road distances and free-flow times are from OSRM routing in October 2026; allow extra time at rush hour and at park opening. Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios are the closest park lots; if Animal Kingdom is your priority, our hotels near Animal Kingdom guide compares closer options. The short drive to the sports complex also puts the hotel in our hotels near ESPN Wide World of Sports list.

Rooms and suites

Disney’s listing describes 280 rooms with Egyptian cotton linens, flat-screen TVs and private balconies over the pool or landscaped grounds. Meliá’s room pages list 11 room types, and nearly every suite description includes a kitchen; the entry-level Meliá Room has none listed. The suite kitchens Meliá describes have a ceramic hob, a refrigerator, a microwave, a dishwasher, a toaster and cookware.

Room typeSizeBedsKitchen
Meliá Room29 m² (312 sq ft)1 kingNot listed
One-Bedroom Suite King70 m² (753 sq ft)King + queen sofa bedYes
One-Bedroom Suite 2 Queen64 m² (689 sq ft)2 beds + queen sofa bedFull kitchen

Two-Bedroom Family Suite99 m² (1,066 sq ft)King, 2 full beds + sofa bedFull kitchen
The Level Family Suite99 m² (1,066 sq ft)Master bedroom, bunk-bed room + sofa bedFull kitchen

Some details don’t line up: the One-Bedroom Suite 2 Queen Beds is described with two full-size beds, and its page text says 70 m² while the room list says 64 m². The Level Family Suite is labeled one king and two doubles but described with a double-bed master and a bunk-bed room. There’s also an Accessible Room (64 m², king bed, low microwave, accessible shower) and two 99 m² “Two Bedroom Master Suite” layouts, only one of which mentions a kitchen.

Meliá doesn’t state maximum occupancy. The hotel’s Booking.com room table shows up to 4 guests in the king one-bedroom suite, 5 in the two-queen version, 6 in the Two-Bedroom Suite, 7 in the family suites and 8 in the two-queen master suite. Cribs are available on request, but Booking.com lists no extra beds. For more layouts like these, see our 2- and 3-bedroom suites near Disney World comparison.

The Level: what the premium suites add

The Level is Meliá’s premium tier, with one-bedroom (70 m²), two-bedroom and family suites (99 m²). Meliá lists a private check-in, a concierge, an in-room minibar and a private lounge with a daily continental breakfast, Nespresso coffee, snacks and three hours of complimentary alcoholic drinks each afternoon. Level guests also use a private pool area with cabanas, which some of Meliá’s pages describe as rentals. The Level Family Suite adds Kidsdom welcome gifts (a play tent, toys and puzzles), and the other Level suites add vitamin C-infused showers and air purifiers. Level suites are sold on Booking.com, but ask whether every benefit applies to a third-party booking.

Pools and recreation

The centerpiece is the 360-degree vanishing-edge pool, which Meliá also lists as heated, set in a courtyard of palms and curved white buildings. Meliá doesn’t publish pool hours, so check them at check-in. Meliá lists no water slide or lazy river; for those, see Nearby alternatives.

For downtime, Meliá lists an on-site mini golf course, kids’ activities, a playground and table football. Disney’s listing mentions game areas and a monthly entertainment program, “12 Months, 12 Reasons”, with themed events and live performances. Ask what’s on during your dates.

Dining, breakfast and happy hour

The Wilson is the only full restaurant. Meliá describes coastal cuisine with global influences and seasonal cocktails, and Disney’s listing says it serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. It also has a menu for dogs. Room service is available, and the suite kitchens make it easy to do your own breakfasts.

Breakfast is included with The Level suites. Other rates may not include it; Booking.com listed breakfast at US$20 per person at the time of writing. The daily Club 225 happy hour runs from 4 to 5 PM for guests 21 and over, with cabernet sauvignon, chardonnay and draft beer. Disney and the hotel’s Booking.com description call it complimentary, but Meliá’s terms give the access wristband to MeliáRewards members (White level). Joining is free, so sign up before you arrive.

Parking and fees

This is the area where official and booking information conflict, so get answers in writing.

  • Parking: Meliá’s site lists “Parking included (subject to availability)”: one space per room for the stay, with conditions to check with the hotel and advance booking required. Disney’s Good Neighbor listing simply says “Complimentary Parking.” But at the time of writing, the parking line on the hotel’s Booking.com listing said on-site parking needs a reservation and costs US$70 a day, yet some Booking.com rates said “Includes 1 parking spot.” Ask the hotel which applies to your rate.
  • Resort fee: neither Meliá’s site nor Disney’s listing mentions one, but when we priced sample stays in October 2026, Booking.com’s breakdown added a US$32 nightly “service charge” to the displayed rate, and Osceola County’s 13.5% tax applies to both. Tour operators list the same $32 as a resort fee (Air Canada Vacations) or as a $36.32 nightly facility fee, which matches $32 plus tax, covering parking, Wi-Fi, Disney park transfers and the Club 225 happy hour (Tripster).

Open Booking.com’s price breakdown before you confirm to see the fee and tax. Our Orlando resort fees explained guide shows how to spot one. Rates vary by season, availability and how far ahead you book.

Getting to the parks: shuttle and driving

Disney’s Good Neighbor page lists “Complimentary Scheduled Shuttle Service to Walt Disney World Resort and Other Nearby Theme Parks,” and Meliá’s Walt Disney World page promises free transfers to all the Disney parks. Meliá tells guests to check schedules at the front desk. The shuttle operator’s booking system (Firefighters All Services) now lists the hotel as “Melia Orlando Hotel”: for sample dates of October 28 and November 18, 2026, it showed $0.00 runs to Magic Kingdom’s Transportation and Ticket Center at 8:45 and 10:20 a.m. (back 9:00 or 10:30 p.m.), to Hollywood Studios at 10:20 and 11:15 a.m. (back 8:45 or 10:15 p.m.) and to Universal and Epic Universe at 7:10 a.m., with no EPCOT, Animal Kingdom or Disney Springs route. Times change with park hours.

There’s a catch. Meliá’s “Transfer to the theme parks” perk lists terms that require advance reservation and limit it to MeliáRewards members booking on Melia.com, the app or the contact center. Yet the hotel’s Booking.com text promises all guests a free shuttle to Disney, Universal and SeaWorld, while Air Canada Vacations lists Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios and Disney Springs, reservations required. If you book on Booking.com, confirm that you can ride, which parks run on your dates and when the last bus returns.

Driving is the flexible alternative. Disney charges $35 a day for standard theme park parking (tax included, one pass for all four parks), and parking at Disney Springs is free. Universal says its parking pricing is seasonal and varies by day. The hotel isn’t on Disney’s Early Theme Park Entry list, and as an off-site guest you get the standard 3-day Lightning Lane purchase window rather than the 7-day one.

For the airport, Meliá lists a transfer service and Booking.com a free airport shuttle, but a tour-operator listing calls it a surcharge, so ask the price. By car, MCO is about 20 miles away via toll roads.

Amenities: fitness, spa, pets and Wi-Fi

Disney’s listing includes a fitness center with Peloton bikes, weights and dumbbells, a laundry room, a concierge and “Advent Health Wellness & Spa Privileges”. Meliá refers to a partner spa and wellness center and offers MeliáRewards members who book direct a 20% massage discount, so ask what access your booking includes. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel, and there’s an electric car charging point.

Dogs are welcome under Meliá’s pet program (up to two per room, no weight limit), Disney’s listing mentions beds, bowls and treats, and the hotel has a fenced dog playground. Meliá asks you to add its Pet-Friendly service when booking; its services list marks pets as an extra fee without an amount, and Booking.com says charges may apply. Call the hotel to register your dog and ask the price.

Who Meliá Orlando Celebration suits

It works best for families and small groups doing mostly Disney, who want a kitchen and a door between parents and kids, and who don’t mind a 15-minute drive or a scheduled shuttle. It also suits tournament families at ESPN, visitors to AdventHealth Celebration and dog owners. Comparing kitchen hotels? Start with our Orlando hotels with kitchens list.

It’s a weaker fit for a Universal-heavy trip, for anyone who wants Early Entry, and for couples who want to walk to Celebration’s lakeside restaurants.

Pros

  • Most room types are suites of 64 to 99 m² with kitchens, sofa beds and balconies.
  • A large heated 360-degree pool in a quiet courtyard setting.
  • A Disney Good Neighbor Hotel with a listed complimentary scheduled park shuttle.
  • About 5 to 8 miles from every Disney park lot, and under 5 miles from ESPN Wide World of Sports.

Limitations to know

  • A $32 nightly charge plus tax appeared on Booking.com in October 2026, though Meliá’s pages don’t mention it.
  • Parking terms conflict between Meliá, Disney and the Booking.com listing.
  • Meliá’s terms tie the shuttle perk and the happy-hour wristband to MeliáRewards.
  • No Early Entry, and Universal and Epic Universe are about 12 miles away.
  • Only one restaurant, and Celebration’s town center is a drive rather than a walk.
  • The 29 m² Meliá Room has no kitchen listed; book a suite if you want to cook.

What to check before you book

  • The total price, including the nightly service charge ($32 at last check) and the 13.5% tax.
  • Whether one parking space is included with your rate, and the cost of a second car.

Frequently asked questions

Does Meliá Orlando Celebration have a free shuttle to Disney?

Disney’s Good Neighbor listing says the hotel offers complimentary scheduled shuttle service to Walt Disney World and other nearby parks, and Meliá’s Disney page promises free transfers to all four parks. But the transfer perk on Meliá’s site requires advance reservation and is limited to MeliáRewards members who book direct, so confirm eligibility if you book on Booking.com and check the schedule at the front desk; the operator’s booking system listed free Magic Kingdom (TTC), Hollywood Studios, Universal and Epic Universe runs for late October and mid-November 2026.

Does Meliá Orlando Celebration charge a resort fee?

Meliá’s website and Disney’s listing don’t mention one, but in October 2026 Booking.com’s price breakdown added a US$32 nightly service charge plus 13.5% tax on top of the room rate. Tour operators call it a resort or facility fee covering self-parking, Wi-Fi and Disney park transfers (Tripster adds the happy hour). Check the breakdown before you pay.

Is parking free at Meliá Orlando Celebration?

Meliá says one parking space per room is included, subject to availability, and Disney’s listing says complimentary parking. However, the hotel’s Booking.com listing said at the time of writing that on-site parking needs a reservation and costs US$70 a day. Tour operators say self-parking is covered by the $32 nightly fee. Ask the hotel which applies to your rate, and whether a second car costs extra.

Do the suites at Meliá Orlando Celebration have kitchens?

Nearly all of them do. Meliá’s suite pages describe kitchens with a ceramic hob, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher, and the two-bedroom family suites list a full kitchen with a dining table. The exception is the 29 m² Meliá Room, a king room with no kitchen in its description, and one master-suite layout doesn’t mention one. The suites run from 64 to 99 square meters.

Can you walk to Celebration’s town center from Meliá?

You can, but it’s about 1.7 miles to Market Street, roughly 35 to 40 minutes each way. Most guests drive the 6 minutes, and town center parking is free. If walking to the lakeside restaurants matters most, The Inn at Celebration is the only hotel in the town center itself.

Is Meliá Orlando Celebration pet-friendly?

Yes, for dogs. Meliá’s program accepts up to two dogs per room, Disney’s listing mentions beds, bowls and treats, the hotel has a fenced dog playground, and The Wilson has a pet menu. Meliá asks guests to add its Pet-Friendly service when booking and lists pets as an extra fee without an amount, and Booking.com says charges may apply. Call the hotel to register your dog and ask the price.

Bottom line

Meliá Orlando Celebration is a strong pick if you want a spacious kitchen suite, a big heated pool and a Disney shuttle, all in a quieter corner of Celebration. Just confirm the nightly fee, parking and shuttle eligibility with the hotel before you pay. Compare rates for Meliá Orlando Celebration.
