The best hotels near Disney World that Disney doesn’t own are the Four Seasons Resort Orlando, the Walt Disney World Dolphin and Swan Reserve on Disney property, Signia by Hilton and the Waldorf Astoria in Bonnet Creek, and good-value Early Entry hotels such as Drury Plaza in the Disney Springs Resort Area. Where you stay decides how you reach the parks, whether you get Disney’s 30-minute Early Theme Park Entry and what you pay in fees.
This guide compares 20 non-Disney hotels by area, with Early Entry status, park transport, road distances and fees checked on official pages in October 2026. A section near the end covers Disney’s own resorts.
Quick answer: For luxury on Disney property, book the Four Seasons. For the most Disney perks outside a Disney-owned hotel, pick the Dolphin or Swan Reserve: Early Entry, Extended Evening Hours, the 7-day Lightning Lane window and a walk to EPCOT. For value, Drury Plaza charges no resort fee and includes breakfast and evening food. For a lazy river, choose Signia or the Hilton Buena Vista Palace; for big families, DoubleTree Suites (up to six) or The Grove (up to eight).

Which hotels near Disney World get Early Theme Park Entry?
Disney lists 15 “other select hotels” whose guests enter all four theme parks 30 minutes early every day of their stay, including check-in and check-out days, a benefit Disney says continues through 2027. They are the 12 marked “Yes” in our table plus the Walt Disney World Swan, Wyndham Lake Buena Vista and Shades of Green (for eligible military guests).
| Perk | Disney Resort hotels | Swan, Dolphin, Swan Reserve | Other Early Entry hotels | Everyone else |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 30-minute Early Entry | Yes | Yes | Yes | No |
| Extended Evening Hours | Deluxe and Deluxe Villa only | Yes | No | No |
| Lightning Lane purchases | 7 days ahead | 7 days ahead | 3 days ahead | 3 days ahead |
| Standard theme park parking | Free | Free | $35 a day | $35 a day |
Shades of Green also gets evening hours and the 7-day window. A Disney “Good Neighbor” or “Gateway” label doesn’t bring Early Entry. Our full list of non-Disney hotels with Early Theme Park Entry explains how to use each perk.
