Avanti International Resort is a mid-priced, 652-room resort-style hotel at 8738 International Drive in Orlando, about a 7-minute walk from ICON Park and roughly 3 miles by road from both Universal Orlando and Epic Universe. Its $18-plus-tax nightly resort fee covers self-parking, Wi-Fi and scheduled shuttles to Universal, SeaWorld and three Disney parks.
We checked the resort’s pages, its shuttle operator’s booking system and Universal’s terms in October 2026 and measured distances ourselves. Fees and schedules change, so confirm them for your dates.
Quick answer: Avanti is a good-value base for Universal, Epic Universe and the convention center, and for families of up to four who want a big pool and restaurants on foot. Budget for the fee plus tax and a $50 card hold. The reviews we read flag uneven room upkeep.

Where Avanti is on International Drive
Avanti sits in the busiest stretch of I-Drive, just south of ICON Park. The resort map shows its low-rise guest buildings between International Drive and I-4, with parking outside each building. Walkability is its main advantage.
The I-RIDE Trolley’s Red Line stops at the resort (stop 15). It runs daily from 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., about every 20 minutes; at the time of writing a ride costs $2 in exact change and a one-day pass $8. It doesn’t serve Universal’s parks.

Not the same hotel as Wyndham I-Drive Avanti (Avanti Palms)
Avanti isn’t a national hotel brand. The resort’s website says it’s managed by Paramount Hospitality Management, which Visit Orlando’s meetings site says also operates the former Avanti Palms, now Wyndham I-Drive Avanti Resort & Conference Center at 6515 International Drive. They are separate hotels, so check that your confirmation says 8738 International Drive.
Shuttles to Universal, Epic Universe, Disney and SeaWorld
Both shuttle services are for registered overnight guests and covered by the resort fee, but they work very differently.
Universal and Epic Universe shuttle
The complimentary Universal Partner Hotel shuttle serves the Universal parks, CityWalk and Epic Universe. The resort’s rules at the time of writing:
- Reserve every departure in person at the resort. Booking opens 24 hours ahead and closes 2 hours before departure; seats are first come, first served, and daytime seats aren’t guaranteed.
- The shuttle stops at multiple locations before returning to CityWalk, so allow extra time.
- It isn’t valid for special events such as Halloween Horror Nights, for groups or for Early Park Admission.
- No schedule is online; call 407-313-0100. The resort’s pages disagree on where wheelchair users reserve (Attraction Ticket Desk, or Concierge 24 hours ahead), so ask on arrival.
Disney and SeaWorld shuttle
SSS Luxury Transport runs these, booked through the link on the resort’s shuttle page. The resort says to book at least 3 hours ahead (the operator’s form takes same-day bookings up to 2 hours before). Sample runs from its booking system for October 15, 20 and 24, 2026 (times change, so check the operator’s system for your dates):

Magic Kingdom and Aquatica weren’t offered, although the resort’s FAQ mentions Walt Disney World theme parks and Aquatica. Seats are limited, buses can run 20 minutes late and missed rides aren’t reimbursed. Groups of 10 or more can’t ride, food, drinks and luggage aren’t allowed, and wheelchair users should call 2 hours ahead.
Avanti wasn’t on Disney’s Early Theme Park Entry list at last check, and the earliest run left at 9:20 a.m., so drive if you want to be at a Disney park for opening. For a Disney-focused trip, compare Orlando hotels with free Disney World shuttles.
Driving to the parks
With parking at Avanti in the resort fee, you only pay at the parks. Universal’s regular self-parking is $35 a day, tax included, at the time of writing, and free after 6 p.m. at the main garages except on Halloween Horror Nights event nights and New Year’s Eve (not at Epic Universe). Disney’s standard theme park parking is $35 a day at the time of writing.
Universal Partner Hotel perks, and what you don’t get
You get discounts on merchandise, food and non-alcoholic drinks at select Universal and CityWalk locations (not in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter) and a lobby desk that sells park tickets, but not these two perks:
- Universal Express: free Express Unlimited comes only with Universal’s Premier hotels, and not at Epic Universe. See which Universal hotels include Express Pass.
- Early Park Admission: Universal gives it to its own hotel guests and to vacation package guests, so at Avanti you need a Universal vacation package, not a room-only booking.
Resort fee, parking and the card hold
Avanti adds a mandatory resort fee of $18 plus tax per room, per night, at the time of writing: about $20.25 with Orange County’s 12.5% hotel tax, or roughly $101 for five nights. The travel sites we checked list it as payable at the property. It covers self-parking (no RVs, trucks or commercial vehicles), Wi-Fi, scheduled shuttles, local and 800-number calls and the fitness center.
At check-in the resort holds $50 on your card; cash isn’t accepted. Debit cards are authorized for the full stay plus the hold, and some international banks take 14 days or more to release the funds.
Booking on the resort’s website adds a 24-hour Best Rate Guarantee, two one-day I-RIDE passes and 5% cash back through Paramount Hotel Rewards, and at last check a package with breakfast for two. If fees are a deal-breaker, see Orlando hotels with no resort fees.
Rooms and suites at Avanti International Resort
All 652 rooms open onto exterior corridors, and the resort’s photos show hard-surface floors rather than carpet.

The Premium Executive King Suite has a separate sleeping area with a king bed and a living area with a sectional sofa and chaise that converts to a bed. It has a microwave and mini-fridge, not a kitchenette.
Every room has a 55-inch TV, a laptop-size safe, a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee and tea maker, hair dryer, iron and blackout drapes, plus a partially open bathroom with a shower or tub. Cribs are free on request (no high chairs). Housekeeping is a daily refresh, with a full cleaning and fresh linens every fourth day.

Accessible rooms
Accessible Double Queen (up to 4 people) and King rooms are 353 sq ft, on the first floor. Some have roll-in showers and others grab bars, so request a roll-in shower ahead. The pool has a lift, and there are elevators throughout.

Pool and recreation
The resort is built around its oversized, heated, zero-entry pool with a children’s water playscape, fountains and waterfalls, plus a hot tub and free pool towels. There are no waterslides; if slides matter, read our CoCo Key Hotel and Water Park review.
- Pool Bar: drinks and casual food, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. No outside food or drinks inside the pool gates.
- Games: beach volleyball, shuffleboard and an arcade-style game room with air hockey, open 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Dining and breakfast
Breakfast isn’t included in standard rates. Prices below are from the resort’s online menus at the time of writing; the café adds 6.5% sales tax.
- Café & Marketplace: breakfast daily from 7 to 11 a.m., from oatmeal ($9) and breakfast sandwiches ($13–$15) to a full breakfast plate ($18). Lunch and dinner (burgers, pizza, wraps, salads, kids’ menu) run 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. (10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday).
- Lobby Barista: Starbucks drinks, pastries and grab-and-go items; hours vary.
- Pool Bar: wings, sandwiches, wraps and kids’ plates, with cocktails at about $12 to $17.
Other amenities and services
- Fitness center: overlooks the pool; 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday to Thursday, until 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
- Laundry: in every building, credit cards only, $4 per washer or dryer load.
- Services: Wi-Fi in all rooms, a 24-hour business center, concierge, EV charging by the lobby, and mobile check-in with a digital key.
Avanti International Resort reviews: what others report
We don’t publish scores or quotes. Two public pages we read in October 2026 show the recurring themes:
- Oyster’s hotel review (an editor’s inspection, undated): pros include the central location, clean modern rooms, the huge pool and kids’ splash area and the free shuttles; cons include the resort fee, traffic noise in rooms by the interstate, noisy dehumidifiers, some bathrooms needing a refresh and motel-like outdoor corridors.
- Wanderlog’s summary of Google reviews: praise for the location, friendly staff and clean pool areas; complaints about dirty floors and patchy room cleaning, noise, fridge and shower-pressure problems, and noisy guests.
Both are snapshots, and Oyster’s amenity list has errors (coin laundry, airport transportation). If road noise worries you, ask for a room away from I-4, and report any room problem on day one.
Who Avanti International Resort suits
Best for: Universal and Epic Universe visitors using the shuttle, convention attendees, travelers without a car, couples and families of up to four.
Not ideal for: five or more in one room, four adults sharing, Magic Kingdom-heavy trips, and anyone who wants free breakfast, a kitchen or no resort fee.

What to check before you book
- Check-in and check-out: 4 p.m. and 11 a.m. Early check-in costs $25 before 1 p.m. or $35 before 11 a.m., if available. Late check-out is free until noon, then $20 plus tax per hour until 3 p.m.
- Age and ID: the guest checking in must be 21 or older, with photo ID and their own card, and stay in the room.
- Cancellation: direct bookings generally need 24 hours’ notice to avoid losing the first night plus tax; Booking.com reservations follow the terms on your booking.
- Pets: one pet for a $50 fee, with shot records and a signed agreement emailed ahead. The FAQ says 30 lb, the fact sheet 35 lb, so confirm.
- Airport: no shuttle; the desk calls taxis, and the FAQ points to Platinum Transportation for airport meet-and-greet transfers.
- House rules: non-smoking rooms ($50 fee), quiet hours 10 p.m. to 8 a.m., and $10 per package delivered.
