The closest hotels near ICON Park put you a 5- to 15-minute walk from The Orlando Eye, SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium and Madame Tussauds, right on the busiest stretch of International Drive. You can walk over for dinner, ride the wheel at sunset and never move the car.
The same location works well for Universal Orlando, Epic Universe and SeaWorld, which are all roughly 2.5 to 3 miles away by road, and several hotels below include a theme park shuttle. Walt Disney World is farther, about 13 to 14 miles to the EPCOT and Magic Kingdom parking areas, so this area suits an I-Drive and Universal trip better than a Disney-only one.
Quick answer: For the shortest walk, book the Fairfield Inn & Suites Orlando International Drive/Convention Center (about 0.2 mile) or Sonesta ES Suites Orlando – International Drive (about 0.3 mile). For suites with free breakfast and an evening reception, pick the newly renovated Embassy Suites ICON Park. Families who want a big pool should look at Avanti International Resort, and the Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando is the no-resort-fee budget choice about a mile south.

Below you’ll find what ICON Park offers, a comparison table and what each hotel charges for parking and resort fees. For the wider corridor, from the outlets in the north to the convention center in the south, see our guide to the best hotels on International Drive.

How we chose these hotels near ICON Park
We started with every hotel within roughly a mile of The Orlando Eye and kept the ones whose facts we could confirm on official pages. We didn’t use review scores or star ratings. Our criteria:

1. Fairfield Inn & Suites Orlando International Drive/Convention Center

Marriott bills this Fairfield as a renovated hotel “at ICON Park”, and it fits: our route check puts the walk to The Orlando Eye at about 0.2 mile, roughly five minutes. It sits on Universal Boulevard, on the east side of the complex, so you don’t have to cross International Drive to get there.
Expect a simple, renovated stay with a free hot breakfast buffet, an outdoor pool, a 24-hour fitness center and a lobby bar called ICONic Sips.
- Why stay: the shortest walk on this list plus a free hot breakfast, served 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. daily at last check.
- Getting there / to the parks: the hotel calls itself a Universal partner hotel with a complimentary Universal shuttle, but Marriott’s page warns it runs only between 9:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., so plan another ride for early mornings or late nights. The I-RIDE Green Line runs along Universal Boulevard.
- Good to know: self-parking was $16 a day at last check (Marriott page captured January 2026), limited to one space per reservation with no oversized vehicles or trailers. One pet under 40 pounds is allowed for a $150 fee. Check-in is 3 p.m.
Best for: couples and small families who want to walk to ICON Park and eat breakfast before heading out.

2. Sonesta ES Suites Orlando – International Drive

Sonesta describes this all-suite hotel at 8480 International Drive as right across from ICON Park, and the walk to The Orlando Eye is about 0.3 mile, around seven minutes. You do cross International Drive, so use a marked crosswalk.
Every suite has a fully equipped kitchen with a stovetop, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator, plus a sofa bed (amenities can vary by suite), and the hotel offers one- and two-bedroom suites. Outside there’s a heated pool, a whirlpool and a sun deck, and there’s on-site laundry.
- Why stay: real kitchens and two-bedroom suites, which help on longer trips and with bigger groups.
- Getting there / to the parks: a shuttle to Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando is included in the resort fee, with Disney drop-offs at the Transportation and Ticket Center or EPCOT. You can reserve departures up to 48 hours ahead. The hotel says it’s at I-RIDE Trolley stop 19.
- Good to know: the nightly resort fee is $17 plus tax and covers the shuttle, self-parking and Wi-Fi. Breakfast at The Morning Pour (7 to 11 a.m.) costs extra. The minimum check-in age is 21, and the hotel collects a refundable safety deposit of up to $250. Up to two pets are welcome for $75 on stays of up to seven nights.

3. Castle Hotel, Autograph Collection

You can’t miss the spires. This boutique Marriott lists its address as 8602 Universal Boulevard (some visitor listings use an International Drive number), and the walk to The Orlando Eye is about 0.4 mile, roughly eight minutes.
It’s the most grown-up choice here, with a minimum check-in age of 21. The Guild Restaurant & Bar serves all meals (dinner until 10 p.m.), the Reign Pool Bar sits by the heated outdoor pool and whirlpool (open 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.), and there’s room service and a 24-hour fitness center.
- Why stay: a stylish base for couples who plan to spend evenings at ICON Park’s bars and live-music venues.
- Getting there / to the parks: Marriott’s page lists no theme park shuttle. From ICON Park, Universal’s main parking garages are about 2.5 miles by road; otherwise use a rideshare.
- Good to know: self-parking was $35 a day and valet $45 at last check (Marriott page captured May 2026). Marriott says in-room Wi-Fi is free for Bonvoy members who book direct, and Booking.com lists free Wi-Fi. Up to two dogs of 40 pounds or less are allowed, with a $150 fee for the first and $50 for the second. The overview page we checked shows no destination fee, but confirm the total at booking.
Best for: couples and adult groups who care more about atmosphere than kids’ amenities.
4. Embassy Suites by Hilton Orlando International Drive ICON Park

The only hotel here with ICON Park in its name sits on Jamaican Court, just off International Drive, next to the complex. Our walking route to The Orlando Eye came to about 0.5 mile, roughly 11 minutes. Its management company, Crestline Hotels & Resorts, announced in late September 2026 that a full redesign is complete: 246 one- and two-bedroom suites with kitchenettes and a reworked atrium built around a circular bar.
You also get the classic Embassy Suites inclusions: a free made-to-order hot breakfast every morning and an evening reception with drinks and snacks. There’s an indoor/outdoor pool, The Cascades Lounge for cocktails and American food, and E’terie, a 24-hour grab-and-go shop.
- Why stay: a separate living room, free cooked breakfast and an evening reception add up to strong value for families.
- Getting there / to the parks: the September 2026 announcement lists a free shuttle to Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando and Epic Universe, but Hilton’s own page (captured June 2026) called it a paid shuttle that also serves SeaWorld. Confirm the cost, times and reservations with the hotel.
- Good to know: self-parking is $24.50 a day including tax, with no valet, on Hilton’s page at the time of writing (it was $18 plus tax in June 2026), and no resort charge is listed; confirm the total before you book. The minimum check-in age is 21, and pets are allowed for a $125 non-refundable fee. Because the redesign was only announced as finished in late September 2026, older guest photos online may not show the current rooms.
Best for: families who want suites, included breakfast and shuttles to both Disney and Universal.

5. Courtyard Orlando International Drive/Convention Center

This Courtyard at 8600 Austrian Court is set back from International Drive on a side street, about 0.5 mile, or 11 minutes on foot, from The Orlando Eye. Marriott’s own description calls it walking distance to the wheel, and the hotel’s photos show it glowing above the courtyard pool.
The big difference is parking: Marriott listed complimentary on-site parking at last check, unlike most hotels on this list. You’ll also find a heated outdoor pool, The Bistro for breakfast and dinner with Starbucks drinks, The Market for snacks at any hour and a 24-hour fitness center.
- Why stay: free parking if you plan to drive to the parks, outlets or beaches.
- Getting there / to the parks: no theme park shuttle is listed. From the ICON Park area, Universal’s main garages are about 2.5 miles by road and SeaWorld about 3 miles. Universal charges $35 a day to park (tax included) at last check.
- Good to know: parking was complimentary on the Marriott page captured in July 2026. Breakfast isn’t listed as complimentary. The minimum check-in age is 21, pets aren’t allowed (service animals are welcome) and housekeeping is every other day.
Best for: road-trippers with a rental car who want to keep total costs down.

6. Avanti International Resort

Avanti is a low-rise resort at 8738 International Drive, at Austrian Court, south of ICON Park. The walk to The Orlando Eye is about 0.6 mile, roughly 12 to 14 minutes. We cover rooms and fees in depth in our Avanti International Resort review.
The pool area is the draw: an oversized, heated, zero-entry pool with a children’s water playscape, fountains and waterfalls, plus a hot tub, beach volleyball and shuffleboard. There’s a game room open 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., a Pool Bar open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and a cafe and marketplace.
- Why stay: the most resort-style pool within walking distance of ICON Park, with parking and shuttles in one modest fee.
- Getting there / to the parks: Avanti is a Universal Partner Hotel. The Universal shuttle is complimentary but must be reserved in person, up to 24 hours ahead. Disney and SeaWorld shuttles need a reservation 3 hours ahead; the resort’s amenities page names EPCOT as the Disney stop and says SeaWorld is reached via the Universal connection, so check the schedule. Booking direct adds two one-day I-RIDE passes.
- Good to know: the resort fee is $18 plus tax a night and includes self-parking, Wi-Fi, the scheduled shuttles and the fitness center. Expect a $50 incidental hold, a minimum check-in age of 21 and open-air corridors. One pet up to 30 pounds is allowed for a $50 fee, with vaccination records and a signed pet agreement sent before arrival.
Best for: families who want a big pool and included shuttles without paying for a large resort.
7. Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando

The Rosen Inn sits at 9000 International Drive, across from Pointe Orlando. It’s about a mile south of ICON Park by road. On foot, our route checks came to 1 to 1.5 miles, roughly 20 to 30-plus minutes depending on where you leave the property, so you may prefer the trolley; the hotel says it’s near I-RIDE stop 18.
Its appeal is cost. The hotel says it charges no resort fee, and it has three pools (two heated seasonally), a playground, a video arcade and four dining options, including a Kids Eat Free program with one free child’s buffet per paying adult buffet (the hotel’s FAQ limits it to children under 5).
- Why stay: the lowest add-on costs on this list and plenty for kids to do.
- Getting there / to the parks: a free scheduled Universal shuttle leaves between 7:20 and 11:50 a.m. and returns between 5:00 and 9:25 p.m.; reserve it 24 hours ahead in the lobby. Disney buses run by Fabulous Buses & Tours cost extra, and the hotel’s FAQ (7:20 and 9:53 a.m.) and schedule table (7:25 and 10:15 a.m.) list different departure times, so check. The hotel also mentions a scheduled SeaWorld shuttle.
- Good to know: parking is $10 a night per car, tax included, capped at five nights ($50). Dogs are welcome with no breed or size limits and are usually placed on the third floor.
Best for: budget travelers who don’t mind a longer walk or a trolley ride to ICON Park.
