The hotels near Full Sail University are not on campus or in Winter Park’s walkable center: the closest options sit 4 to 7 miles away, in two clusters. One is the Central Florida Research Park area by UCF, east along University Boulevard. The other is downtown Winter Park, west along Aloma Avenue. Full Sail’s main campus is at 3300 University Boulevard in Winter Park, and graduations take place in the Full Sail Live venue at 141 University Park Drive.

That matters more than it sounds. Graduation guests are asked to arrive at least an hour before the ceremony, and the daily campus tours start at fixed times. A hotel 10 to 15 minutes away by car, with free parking and breakfast included, makes those mornings much easier.

Below are seven picks we checked against official hotel pages and Full Sail’s own visitor information, including the four hotels on the university’s preferred list.

Quick answer: For a campus tour or graduation, book one of Full Sail’s four preferred hotels near UCF: Fairfield Inn & Suites, Home2 Suites, Courtyard or Homewood Suites. Each is about 5.5 to 7 miles from campus by road, with free self-parking at last check, and Full Sail lists a rate you can ask for when booking direct. For a nicer stay near restaurants and Park Avenue, The Alfond Inn in Winter Park is the closest hotel we found by road (about 3.6 miles), but it costs more and adds a resort fee and valet parking.

How we chose these hotels near Full Sail University

We started with Full Sail’s own preferred hotel list, then added nearby hotels that fill the gaps it leaves, such as an on-site restaurant or a Winter Park address. For each pick we checked:

  • Drive to campus: road distances from the OpenStreetMap-based OSRM router to the Full Sail Live venue, rounded. Hotels’ own “miles from Full Sail” figures are often straight-line, so ours can differ.
  • Verified amenities: breakfast, parking, pools, kitchens and pet rules from each hotel’s official page. Hilton and Marriott block direct access from our research tools, so for those we used archived copies of their official pages and give the capture month.
  • Value for families: free breakfast, free parking and room for a family of four count for a lot on a two-night graduation trip.
  • No scores: we don’t publish ratings or guest-review scores, and we haven’t stayed at these hotels.

1. Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Orlando East/UCF Area

This Fairfield at 3420 Lake Lynda Drive is on Full Sail’s preferred hotel list, which puts it 5.3 miles from campus. By road we measured about 5.4 miles to the Full Sail Live venue, straight down University Boulevard. In archived copies of its Marriott pages (October 2025 and February 2026), every room had a mini-refrigerator and a microwave, and suites added a separate living area with a sofa bed.

The outdoor pool is heated, and Marriott describes an expanded pool deck with gas grills and a fire pit overlooking the water. There is also a 24-hour fitness center and on-site guest laundry.

  • Why stay: Free hot breakfast, free parking and suites with a sofa bed, at one of the two closest preferred hotels.
  • Getting there / to the parks: About 11 minutes to campus without traffic. Marriott says the hotel has no shuttle. Orlando International Airport (MCO) is about 20.5 miles by road, usually on the GreeneWay and Beachline toll roads.
  • Good to know: At last check, breakfast ran 6 to 10 a.m. on weekdays and 7 to 10 a.m. on weekends, parking was complimentary and pets were not allowed (service animals welcome). You must be 21 to check in. Check-in is at 3 p.m. and check-out at noon.

2. Home2 Suites by Hilton Orlando Near UCF

Home2 Suites at 3414 Technological Avenue is the hotel Full Sail’s list calls closest, at 5.2 miles. Our road measurement is about 5.5 miles, roughly 10 minutes to the Full Sail Live venue. Hilton describes in-suite kitchens, an outdoor saline pool and a fitness center with a Peloton bike, and says the hotel is a short walk from places to eat on University Boulevard.

  • Why stay: A kitchen in the suite and free breakfast, which suits longer visits such as orientation week or helping a student move in.
  • Getting there / to the parks: About 10 minutes to campus. Hilton lists no airport shuttle; MCO is about 20.5 miles by road on toll roads.
  • Good to know: At last check (Hilton pages archived November 2025 and January 2026), self-parking was complimentary with in-and-out privileges and breakfast was a free hot buffet. Up to two dogs or cats up to 75 lb are allowed for a non-refundable $75 for 1 to 4 nights or $125 for 5 nights or more. Check-in is at 3 p.m., check-out at noon.

3. Courtyard by Marriott Orlando East/UCF Area

The Courtyard at 12000 Collegiate Way is the third preferred hotel, 5.6 miles from campus by Full Sail’s count and about 5.9 miles by road in our check. Rooms come with a mini-refrigerator and a microwave, and the hotel lists a heated outdoor pool, a whirlpool, a fire pit and a 24-hour fitness center that Marriott says was renovated in 2024.

Breakfast is the open question. A February 2026 capture of Marriott’s overview page said the Bistro was closed until further notice, with a light continental breakfast from 7 to 9 a.m., and its FAQ said breakfast is not free. An April 2026 capture of the dining page listed The Bistro for breakfast and dinner again. Ask the hotel what is open before you count on it.

  • Why stay: A preferred-rate hotel with free parking and a pool, a simple choice for couples and solo visitors.
  • Getting there / to the parks: About 11 minutes to campus. Marriott lists no shuttle; MCO is about 21 miles by road.
  • Good to know: At last check, self-parking was complimentary and pets were not allowed. Check-in is at 3 p.m. and check-out at noon.

Hilton’s own page puts Full Sail at 8 miles. In exchange you get an in-room kitchen, a free hot breakfast, an outdoor pool, grills and an athletic court.

Hilton also mentions a Welcome Home Managers Reception on Wednesdays and a self-pour beer and wine station in the lobby, paid by the ounce.

  • Why stay: Kitchen, breakfast and suite space for a family, with the shortest airport drive of the UCF-area picks.

5. DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Orlando East-UCF Area

The DoubleTree at 12125 High Tech Avenue is not on Full Sail’s list, but it is the full-service option in the same area. Hilton describes The Study Bar and Grill, room service, a Coffee & Food Pantry serving Starbucks coffee, meeting rooms, a fitness center and an outdoor pool the hotel calls the largest in the area. Hilton’s page puts Full Sail 4 miles away, which looks like a straight-line figure: by road it is about 6 miles, or 12 minutes.

The Alfond Inn is the closest hotel to Full Sail by road that we found: about 3.6 miles, or roughly 9 minutes, along Aloma Avenue and Semoran Boulevard. It belongs to Rollins College and stands a block off Park Avenue in downtown Winter Park, which Full Sail describes as “less than a 10 minute drive away.” The hotel has 183 rooms and suites, Hamilton’s Kitchen restaurant, a spa, and a rooftop pool and bar with a sundeck.

This is the pick for a celebration weekend rather than a quick overnight: you can walk to dinner on Park Avenue after the ceremony. Our full review of The Alfond Inn covers its rooms, pool and art collection in detail.

  • Why stay: The shortest drive to campus, plus Winter Park’s restaurants and shops within walking distance.

Every room is a suite, and Marriott lists a free hot breakfast every day from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m., a 24/7 market, a lobby restaurant and bar with small plates, and a fitness center open from 6 a.m. until midnight. Marriott did not list a pool at our last check.

  • Why stay: Suite space and free breakfast on the Winter Park side, with Park Avenue a short drive away.
  • Getting there / to the parks: About 13 minutes to campus. Marriott says the hotel provides no shuttle; MCO is about 17 miles by road.
  • Good to know: In a January 2026 capture of Marriott’s page, parking was $15 a day, and guests were told to use the “B Lot” (listed about 0.1 mile away) rather than the main lot. Pets are not allowed (service animals only), and the minimum check-in age is 21. Check-in is at 3 p.m. and check-out at noon.

Best for: Families who want breakfast included but prefer Winter Park to the UCF area.

Full Sail’s preferred hotel rates

Full Sail’s tour page points visitors to its preferred hotels list and suggests asking for the “Full Sail” rate. At the time of writing, the list shows 20% off flexible retail rates at the Courtyard, 20% off the best available rate at Homewood Suites and Home2 Suites, and a Full Sail rate at the Fairfield. Two hotels at Gateway Village near the airport, Hampton Inn & Suites and Hyatt House, are listed with 15% off, about 11 miles from campus.

These rates apply only when you book the way Full Sail describes: by calling the hotel and asking for the Full Sail University rate, or through the booking links on Full Sail’s list. They don’t apply to Booking.com reservations, so compare the Full Sail rate with the Booking.com price for the same room and cancellation terms, and pick whichever works better for your dates. If you’d rather stay right by the terminals, see our guide to Orlando airport hotels.

Graduation day at Full Sail: what guests should know

Full Sail holds commencement about ten times a year, not just in spring. Its graduation page lists 2026 dates from March to December, including October 29/30, November 23/24 and December 17/18. For October 29/30, Full Sail lists a virtual ceremony on Thursday and three in-person ceremonies on Friday. Final schedules come out 3 to 4 months ahead, ceremonies can start as early as 8 a.m. and finish as late as 6 p.m., and each lasts 60 to 90 minutes. Book your hotel once the graduate knows their ceremony time.

  • Where: Ceremonies take place in the Full Sail Live venue, 141 University Park Dr. The guest waiting area is the 3B Lobby at 119 University Park Dr, and doors open 30 minutes before each ceremony.
  • Tickets: Each graduate can order up to four guest tickets. A ticket gets you in but does not guarantee a seat, and seats can’t be saved. Additional guests can watch a live stream in the EB Auditorium next door without a ticket. Children sharing a seat or in a stroller don’t need one.
  • Timing: Graduates and guests should arrive no less than one hour before the ceremony. There is no re-entry to Full Sail Live.
  • Bags and dress: Only clutch purses up to 5 by 8 inches are allowed inside, and everyone is subject to search. Guests must wear closed-toe shoes because the venue is a live production space.
  • Tours: On graduation day, graduates and guests can tour the campus hourly from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; ask the receptionist or call 800-226-7625.

Rules change, so read Full Sail’s commencement page again the week of the ceremony.

Campus tours and visit days

At the time of writing, Full Sail runs in-person daily tours Monday through Saturday at 10 a.m., noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., each lasting about 90 minutes. There is also a monthly Behind the Scenes open house (the next listed was Sunday, October 18, 2026) and VIP Sunday Experiences on November 8 and December 6, 2026, with tours starting hourly from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Request a spot on Full Sail’s tour page before you book a room. For a 10 a.m. tour, any hotel in this guide is close enough for an unhurried breakfast first.

Getting to Full Sail from the airport

Full Sail Live is about 13 miles from Orlando International Airport by road, mostly along Semoran Boulevard (SR 436), or about 25 minutes without traffic. The UCF-area hotels are farther from the airport (17.5 to 21 miles), and the quickest routes there use toll roads; our guide to Orlando toll roads explains how rental-car toll programs work. None of these hotels lists an airport shuttle, so plan on a rental car or rideshare. A car also makes sense once you’re here, since campus, the hotels and Winter Park’s restaurants are spread out.

How to choose a hotel near Full Sail University

  • Everything nearby is sold out: look north to Altamonte Springs, about 8 miles (roughly 16 minutes without traffic) from campus via SR 436, or read our overview of where to stay in Orlando.
