Avanti International Resort: resort pool and shuttles in the fee

Avanti International Resort charges a mandatory $18 plus tax per room, per night, which covers self-parking, Wi-Fi and the park shuttles. The 652-room resort at 8738 International Drive, at Austrian Court, is about 0.35 mile on foot from ICON Park’s International Drive entrance.

The center of the property is an oversized, heated, zero-entry pool with a children’s water playscape, fountains, waterfalls and a hot tub. Rooms open onto exterior corridors. The full Avanti International Resort review covers every room type.

Avanti International Resort is not the same hotel as Wyndham I-Drive Avanti Resort & Conference Center, the former Avanti Palms at 6515 International Drive, covered in the Wyndham I-Drive Avanti review.

Book it if:

  • The pool matters: it is heated and zero-entry, with a kids’ water playscape and a hot tub.
  • You plan Disney or SeaWorld days without a car: shuttles to EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and SeaWorld are in the fee.
  • You want ICON Park about a 7-minute walk away and rooms of 354 to 446 sq ft.

Skip it if:

  • Five people share one room or four adults travel together: Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando’s double rooms sleep five (rates link in its section above).
  • You need a Magic Kingdom bus: Avanti’s operator listed none, while Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando sells a $15 round trip that leaves at 7:25 a.m. (rates link above).

True nightly cost: fees, parking and perks

Avanti adds $20.25 per night on top of the room rate and room tax; Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando adds $10 per night only when a car is parked, and nothing after the fifth night. The formulas, using the published figures and Orange County’s 12.5% hotel tax:

  • Avanti International Resort: your rate + $18 resort fee + $2.25 tax on the fee + $0 parking = rate + $20.25 per night, with or without a car.
  • Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando: your rate + $0 resort fee + $10 parking (tax included) = rate + $10 per night with a car for nights 1 to 5, then rate + $0. Without a car: rate + $0.
Sample stayRosen Inn add-onsAvanti add-ons
3 nights, one car3 × $10 = $303 × $20.25 = $60.75
3 nights, no car$0$60.75
7 nights, one car$50 (cap)7 × $20.25 = $141.75
3 nights, car, 4 riders on one Disney shuttle day$30 + 4 × $15 = $90$60.75

The Disney shuttle changes the order: Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando lists Fabulous Buses at $15 per guest round trip, while Avanti’s runs are in the fee. Ask Fabulous Buses whether children pay less.

Booking.com confirmed the structure for a December 2 to 5, 2026 sample stay. Avanti’s US$90 “taxes and fees” on a US$236.26 room total itemized a US$54 resort fee (3 × $18) and US$36.28 of 12.5% tax. Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando’s US$33 line was tax only (6% plus 6.5%), and parking was listed at US$10 per day.

Both Universal shuttles avoid Universal’s $35-a-day regular self-parking (tax included) at the time of writing. Neither hotel includes Universal Express, neither shuttle runs for Early Park Admission, and neither hotel is on Disney’s Early Theme Park Entry list, so those perks add $0 at both. See how Universal Early Park Admission works.

Breakfast tips the math for young families at the Rosen Inn. Its Plaza Garden buffet costs $15.95 per adult and $8.95 for ages 6 to 9, plus 6.5% tax and a 15% service charge, and one child 5 and under eats free with each paying adult. Avanti’s café sells a Full Breakfast plate for $18 plus 6.5% tax ($19.17), and Avanti’s pages list no kids-eat-free program. See also Orlando hotels where kids eat free.

Location, walking distances and drive times

Avanti International Resort is about 0.5 mile closer to Universal’s main garages; Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando is closer to SeaWorld, Pointe Orlando and the Orange County Convention Center. Road miles are one-way OpenStreetMap (OSRM) routes to the parking entrances, run October 30, 2026.

Return legs can run longer (about 9.7 to 9.9 miles back from Disney Springs). The FAQ on Avanti’s home page quotes 5 miles to Universal Studios and 2.5 miles to Epic Universe.

The I-RIDE Trolley Red Line stops at both hotels: stop 15 at Avanti and stop 18 at the Rosen Inn. It runs daily from 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., about every 20 minutes, for $2 a ride in exact change or $8 for a one-day pass at the time of writing. Avanti adds two one-day passes to bookings made on its own website, not to Booking.com reservations (I-RIDE Trolley guide).

For Universal-only trips, Rosen Inn International at 7600 International Drive uses the same Rosen formula (no resort fee, $10 parking capped at $50, a free Universal and Epic Universe shuttle and a paid Disney bus) and is about 2 miles by road from Universal’s garages. Shuttles to Universal, Epic Universe, Disney and SeaWorld

Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando posts its Universal timetable; Avanti asks guests to call for its Universal times and books Disney and SeaWorld runs through SSS Luxury Transport. Sample departures, checked October 30, 2026:

DestinationRosen Inn at Pointe OrlandoAvanti International Resort

Animal KingdomNot offered9:20 a.m.
Hollywood StudiosNot offered11:50 a.m.
SeaWorldVia Universal, 10:05 a.m.9:20 a.m.

Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando: Universal seats are reserved in person at the lobby’s Universal Partner Hotel Vacation Planning Center, up to 24 hours ahead. Three hotel pages call this shuttle free, but the transportation page’s introduction describes paid transportation “to Walt Disney World or Universal Studios”, so confirm at the desk. The last returns leave Universal at 9:25 p.m. and Epic Universe at 9:10 p.m. SeaWorld and Aquatica mean an early bus to Universal and one 10:05 a.m. connection, returning via Universal.

The paid Disney bus ($15 per guest round trip, run by Fabulous Buses) boards curbside at trolley stop 18, skips departures with no bookings, and returns from the Magic Kingdom Transportation and Ticket Center at 5:20 p.m. and from EPCOT at 10:20 p.m. The operator’s calendar showed 7:25 and 10:15 a.m. daily in November and December 2026, as does the hotel’s timetable; the FAQ on the same page still says 7:20 and 9:53 a.m.

Avanti International Resort: Universal seats are booked in person from 24 hours to 2 hours before departure, and daytime seats are not guaranteed. SSS Luxury Transport’s system showed the Disney and SeaWorld times above on November 4, 11 and 18, 2026, with returns from EPCOT at 6:30 and 10:30 p.m., Animal Kingdom at 6:00 p.m., Hollywood Studios at 6:15 p.m. and SeaWorld at 7:05 p.m. The hotel says to reserve 3 hours ahead.

Neither hotel’s Universal shuttle is valid for special events, groups or Early Park Admission. Avanti’s amenities page lists only Universal, CityWalk and EPCOT, with SeaWorld via Universal, which conflicts with the operator’s direct run, so confirm at the desk.

Rooms and who they sleep

Avanti rooms measure 354 to 365 sq ft, and the 446 sq ft Executive Suite adds a separate king sleeping area and a sofa bed. The Rosen Inn’s other outlets are Zebra’s Sports Bar & Grille, Smoooth Java Coffee Bar & Gifts with an ice cream counter, and the Lite Bite Mini-Market & Deli.

Avanti’s Café & Marketplace sells breakfast items from $9 to $18 plus 6.5% tax, its Lobby Barista serves Starbucks coffee, and the Bar & Grill by the pool opens 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Neither hotel includes breakfast in standard rates.
