The Orlando Airport Marriott Lakeside, officially named Marriott Orlando Airport Lakeside, is a full-service hotel on a lake about 2.7 road miles from the Terminal A curb at Orlando International Airport (MCO). Its free airport shuttle and two pools suit the first or last night of an Orlando trip.
This review covers the rooms, shuttle, parking, dining and road distances to the parks. If you are still comparing airport hotels, our guide to Orlando airport hotels compares 15 MCO picks side by side. Facts were checked on October 28, 2026, unless another date is given.
Quick answer: Book the Lakeside if you want a free MCO shuttle (every 15 minutes in the early morning on Marriott’s May 2026 page), two pools and a quiet lakefront for an airport night. Booking.com showed no resort fee, but parking ($30 to $38 a day), Wi-Fi for non-members and breakfast cost extra. Someone 21 or older must check in, and Marriott lists no theme park shuttle.

Location: on a lake, about 2.7 road miles from MCO
The hotel stands on Augusta National Drive, off T.G. Lee Boulevard, in a cluster of airport hotels. Marriott quotes the airport at 2.2 miles, and Booking.com’s description says 1 mile. Both look like straight-line figures, so plan with the road distances below.
| Destination | Road distance | Drive, light traffic |
|---|---|---|
| MCO Terminals A and B | About 2.7 to 3.5 mi | 6 to 10 min |
| MCO Terminal C | About 4.2 to 5.5 mi | 11 to 18 min |
| Brightline Orlando station | About 4.2 to 4.4 mi | 10 to 11 min |
| Lake Nona (USTA National Campus) | About 10 mi | About 20 min |
| Epic Universe parking | About 11 to 12 mi | About 20 min |
| Universal’s main garages | About 12 to 13 mi | About 25 min |
| SeaWorld Orlando parking | About 12 to 13 mi | About 21 min |
| Disney Springs | About 17 mi (19 back) | 26 to 31 min |
| EPCOT main parking | About 20 to 21 mi | 32 to 36 min |
| Magic Kingdom (TTC lot) | About 22 mi | 34 to 36 min |
| Animal Kingdom parking | About 22 to 23 mi | 32 to 34 min |
| Port Canaveral | About 45 mi | About 1 hour |
Allow more time at rush hour on I-4. Routes to the parks use the tolled SR 528 (Beachline Expressway). Booking.com’s description puts Universal Orlando at 9.3 miles, but the drive to Universal’s garages is closer to 12 or 13 miles. Magic Kingdom drivers park at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) lot.

Marriott’s pages describe Adirondack chairs on the lawn, hammocks under the trees, a nature path to a shaded deck on the water and bike rides around the hotel. Marriott does not describe swimming or boating in the lake.
Rooms: kings, two queens, lake views and one large suite
Marriott lists nine room categories on its live accommodations page. Every room panel lists a pillowtop mattress, soundproof windows, a coffee/tea maker, a hair dryer, an iron and a desk.

| Room type | Size | Beds | Max guests |
|---|---|---|---|
| Guest room | 336 sq ft | 1 king + sofa bed | 3 |
| Guest room | 336 sq ft | 2 queens | 4 |
| Guest room, lake view | 336 sq ft | 1 king | 3 |
| Guest room, lake view | 336 sq ft | 2 queens | 4 |
| Concierge Level | 336 sq ft | 1 king + sofa bed, or 2 queens | 3 or 4 |
| Larger guest room | 413 sq ft | 1 king + sofa bed | 3 |
| Parlor | 344 sq ft | 1 king + sofa bed | 3 |
| 1 Bedroom Hospitality Suite, lake view | 808 sq ft | 1 king + sofa bed | 3 |
Only the two-queen rooms sleep four, and they do not permit rollaway beds. The king layouts allow one rollaway or one crib, and every layout allows one crib. Booking.com says extra beds and cribs are free on request, subject to availability, and that children 12 and older are charged as adults.
Marriott’s panels list a shower/tub combination only for the standard king and two-queen rooms; the other layouts list a shower. Mobility-accessible rooms (with a tub or a roll-in shower) and hearing-accessible rooms exist only in those two standard categories. Marriott’s room FAQ says the rooms do not have a fridge, although one Booking.com suite photo shows a small one. Ask if you need it.
On our three sample dates (November 18, 2026, December 9 to 11, 2026 and February 10, 2027), Booking.com offered standard, lake-view and accessible rooms only. To book a Concierge Level room, the larger guest room, the Parlor or the suite, go to Marriott.
Concierge Level rooms include lounge access: continental breakfast Monday to Friday from 6 to 9:30 a.m. and evening hors d’oeuvres and snacks Sunday to Thursday from 5:30 to 10 p.m. The lounge is closed from Friday after breakfast until Sunday at 5:30 p.m. Marriott also sells a $30 daily pass, pending availability. Access is free for Marriott Bonvoy Platinum, Titanium and Ambassador Elite members, and Bonvoy benefits apply only to bookings made directly with Marriott.
Pools and recreation
Marriott lists an indoor pool and an outdoor pool, both complimentary, with towels provided. In the hotel’s photos, the outdoor pool is a large free-form pool with palm trees, umbrellas and cabanas. Booking.com lists both pools as heated and open all year. Marriott does not publish pool hours, so ask at check-in if you arrive late.

Booking.com also lists ping-pong, an outdoor fireplace and a garden. Marriott’s pages do not list a water park, a lazy river or a kids’ club. To compare the shuttles at eight MCO hotels, see our list of Orlando hotels with a free airport shuttle.
Dining and breakfast
Marriott’s dining page lists five places to eat and drink, plus room service. These hours are from that page on October 28, 2026.
| Venue | What it serves | Hours |
|---|---|---|
| Crimson Cafe | Breakfast: à la carte Mon–Fri, buffet Sat–Sun | 6 to 11 a.m. daily |
| Crimson Tavern | American dishes in a tavern-style room | 4 to 10 p.m. daily |
| Crimson Lounge | Lounge and bar | 11 a.m. to midnight daily |
| Rooted Grounds Coffee Company | Coffee, grab-and-go breakfast and lunch | 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily |
| Splash Pool Bar | Poolside drinks and bites | Fri–Sun, weather permitting |

Splash’s hours conflict on the same page: the hours list says 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., while its description says noon to 6 p.m.
Breakfast is not included in standard rates. On our sample dates, Booking.com offered breakfast as a US$23.95 add-on, and its fine print says breakfast-included rates cover two adults and children 12 and younger. Marriott also lists Denny’s and Rock & Brews about 0.6 mile away and Bonefish Grill about 0.7 mile away.
Parking, fees and taxes
Booking.com’s price breakdowns for November 18, 2026, December 9 to 11, 2026 and February 10, 2027 added only a 6% tax and a 6.5% city tax, 12.5% in total. There was no resort fee line, and Marriott’s May 2026 overview does not mention one.
| Charge | Marriott (Oct 28, 2026) | Booking.com (Oct 28, 2026) |
|---|---|---|
| Self-parking | $30 a day | US$38 a day for on-site parking |
| Valet | $38 a day | Listed, no separate price |
| Long-term parking | Offered, price not published | Not listed |
| Wi-Fi | Free for Bonvoy members (book direct) | US$9.95 per 24 hours |
The sources disagree on parking. Booking.com’s US$38 matches Marriott’s valet rate, so ask which rate applies to self-parking. With a car for three nights, parking alone costs $90 at $30 a day or $114 at $38 a day.
For park-and-fly trips, Marriott lists long-term parking with the note “Park and take the complimentary shuttle to the airport for convenience.” It does not show a price. On October 28, 2026, MCO charged $14 per 24 hours at its North Park Place and West Park economy lots and $24 in Parking Garage A. A hotel rate saves money only if it is lower than those figures, so get the quote in writing. Our Orlando park and fly hotels guide compares eight MCO hotels that let you leave a car.
Airport shuttle: times, pickup spots and what to confirm
The airport shuttle is complimentary. Marriott’s overview (May 18, 2026 capture) says it departs every 15 minutes between 5 and 9 a.m. and every 30 minutes for the rest of the day. To be picked up at the airport, call the hotel at 407-851-9000; Booking.com’s fine print also asks guests to call from the airport. Marriott does not say when the last run leaves at night, so confirm it before a late landing.
Marriott’s live What to Expect page (October 28, 2026) confirms the free shuttle on request: call once you have your luggage, and staff will direct you to the pickup spot.
At MCO, local hotel shuttles stop on the Ground Transportation Level (Level 1): spaces A1 to A4 and A42 to A45 at Terminal A, B1 to B4 and B40 at Terminal B, C270 and C271 at Terminal C, and C7 and C8 at the train station. These spaces serve every local hotel, so ask whether the Lakeside van covers Terminal C and the train station. Our Orlando airport guide explains the terminals, and our Brightline Orlando guide covers the train.
Marriott says the hotel does not provide shuttle service to Orlando Sanford International Airport or Kissimmee Gateway Airport.
Getting to Disney, Universal and Port Canaveral
Marriott’s pages list no theme park shuttle, and MCO’s rate table shows hotel shuttles as free only for airport hotels. To reach the parks, you need a car, a rideshare or a taxi. Booking.com lists car rental among the hotel’s facilities.
Driving adds up. On top of the hotel’s $30 to $38 a day, Disney charged $35 for standard theme park parking and Universal $35 including tax at last check in October 2026. One Disney day with your car therefore costs $65 to $73 in parking. Our Orlando theme park parking guide lists every park’s rates.
For cruises, Marriott’s experiences page says you can schedule transportation before a Port Canaveral sailing. On October 28, 2026, Go Port listed a Fly Snooze Cruise package at this hotel starting at $250, including the hotel night, airport transportation and cruise transfers. Our Orlando to Port Canaveral guide compares the other ways to the ships.
Amenities: fitness center, Wi-Fi and services
The fitness center is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with cardio machines, free weights and a Synrgy360xs training rig.

Marriott’s pages also list a business center, a convenience store, a gift shop, on-site laundry and Mobile Key. Marriott’s events page lists 29,663 sq ft of event space, so you may share the lobby with a conference or a wedding. The property is smoke-free, pets are not allowed (service animals only), and Marriott’s May 2026 FAQ said there are no electric vehicle charging stations.
Who the Orlando Airport Marriott Lakeside suits
The hotel suits travelers who land late or fly early and want a pool, a sit-down restaurant and a lakefront. It also fits couples starting a cruise and families of up to four in a two-queen room.
It does not suit travelers under 21, because the minimum check-in age is 21. If you plan several park days, a hotel near Disney or Universal will usually save driving time; our guide to where to stay in Orlando compares the areas.
