Marriott’s Grande Vista is a Marriott Vacation Club villa resort on south International Drive in Orlando, about 2 miles by road from SeaWorld. Its one-, two- and three-bedroom villas have full kitchens and washer/dryers and sleep up to 12, and there is no resort fee. The buildings wrap around a lake next to the resort’s own 9-hole golf course.

Quick answer: Book Grande Vista if you’re a group of five to 12 with a car and want one villa with a kitchen and laundry in a calm base between SeaWorld, Universal and Disney. Expect $30 a day per car for parking, no theme park shuttle, a 10 a.m. checkout and no Disney or Universal hotel perks.

Location and drive times to Disney, Universal, Epic Universe and SeaWorld
Grande Vista sits on the quieter southern stretch of International Drive, set back from the road around the lake and golf course. Marriott lists SeaWorld at 2.5 miles, Universal at 7.6 and Walt Disney World at 11.8. We measured road routes to each park’s guest parking with OSRM. Times assume light traffic.

SeaWorld is the easy win. If it’s your main park, compare other hotels near SeaWorld Orlando, including walkable ones. For Magic Kingdom, you park at the Transportation and Ticket Center and take the monorail or ferry, so leave extra time.

Errands: a Publix on Central Florida Parkway is about 1.7 miles away by road, and Target, Aldi and Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets about 3 miles.
Villas and guest rooms: sizes, beds and kitchens
Space is the main reason to book. Marriott Vacation Club lists these typical layouts (sizes are approximate, and floor plans vary):

RedWeek, a timeshare marketplace, calls the two-entry-door villa a “lock-off”: two separate, adjoining units, each with its own door, which suits two couples. Ask which layout you’re booking if beds matter.
- Villa kitchens: oven, stove, refrigerator with icemaker, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and coffee pot, plus cookware and dishes. Marriott says every villa has a separate dining area.
- Guest room kitchenette: a bar-size refrigerator/freezer, microwave and coffeemaker, fine for breakfast but not for cooking dinners.
- On request: a portable playard, high chair, feather pillows and extra silverware.
- Balconies: the resort’s photos show furnished balconies; views vary by building.

Pools, whirlpools and cabanas
Marriott lists four heated outdoor pool areas, open 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. (weather permitting), with towels included:
- Village Center Pool: the main pool, with an adjacent children’s pool and a lap pool.
- Plaza del Sol Pool: a second large pool with a children’s splash pad.
- Club Village and Golf Village pools: two more in other parts of the resort. Ask which is nearest your building.
- Extras: four outdoor whirlpools, plus rentable cabanas that Marriott says include select amenities and a food credit.
Pool rules at the time of writing: no lifeguards, children 12 and under must be with an adult, no inflatable floats (infant floats and armbands are fine), and chairs can’t be saved for more than 30 minutes.
The lake, Boathouse, beach and kids’ activities
The Boathouse (listed 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) rents pontoon boats, kayaks, paddle boats and bumper boats, plus fishing poles with live bait (room charge only). Marriott says rental fees vary, so ask first.
On land there’s a picnic area with grills, a lakeside beach recreation area with a fire pit, beach volleyball courts and a playground (8 a.m. to 8 p.m.). The Recreation Center (9 a.m. to 6 p.m.) has foosball and ping pong and lends balls and racquets.
Marriott’s activity list includes contests, dive-in movies, live music and campfire s’mores. It doesn’t describe a drop-off kids club, so ask which activities cost extra.
Grande Vista Golf Club and Marriott Golf Academy
The Grande Vista Golf Club sits on the resort’s main drive, just before the gatehouse. It’s a 9-hole, 2,300-yard, par-32 Ron Garl course that the club says was “created with the family in mind.” The bigger draw is practice: 35 acres of practice grounds, a TrackMan Range that sends shot data to your phone, and the Marriott Golf Academy for lessons and custom club fittings.

- Kids: juniors 15 and under play free after 3 p.m. with a paying adult (one per adult), and a junior can join an adult’s one-hour private lesson free.
- Booking: the public can book up to 30 days ahead, so you don’t need to stay at the resort to play (407-238-7677).
- Good to know: there’s no beverage cart (carts have a cooler with ice), and the range closes early on Wednesdays.

Amenities: spa, fitness center, tennis and pickleball
- The Spa at Grande Vista: open daily 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., appointments required. Treatments include massages, facials, body wraps, manicures and pedicures, plus a steam room.
- Fitness center: free for guests, with cardio machines, free weights and locker rooms. Marriott lists it as open 24 hours but gives 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. in its FAQ, so check on arrival.
- Courts: tennis and pickleball are free. Marriott lists 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Marriott Vacation Club 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. There’s also basketball and table tennis.
Dining, breakfast and groceries
Breakfast isn’t included and there’s no room service. Marriott lists five outlets:

Hours conflict: Marriott lists The Grill as open daily, but the golf club’s page says it’s closed Monday and Tuesday and recommends dinner reservations. Marriott Vacation Club gives The Grande Cove an 11 p.m. close.
For meals out, Marriott Vacation Club lists First Watch about 1.4 miles away and the Grande Lakes resorts’ restaurants about 2.3 miles away.
Resort fee, parking and policies
- Resort fee: none. Marriott advertises “no extra resort fees and complimentary Wi-Fi throughout your stay.” See more Orlando hotels with no resort fees.
- Parking: Marriott Vacation Club says parking is $30 a day per vehicle for all rental reservations, and included for owner and ownership-package stays. A Booking.com stay is neither, so expect the charge and confirm it for your dates.
- Taxes: Orange County adds 12.5% to the room rate.
- Check-in and check-out: 4 p.m. and 10 a.m.
- Housekeeping: not described on the official pages; an older Oyster review said daily service cost extra, so ask.
- Smoking and payments: smoke-free, with a possible $250 cleaning charge, and cashless (credit cards only).
- Pets: not allowed, with a $500-per-pet Room Recovery Fee. Service animals are welcome.
- Accessibility: accessible parking, a pool lift or sloped entry and roll-in showers are listed.
Getting to the parks and the airport
Neither Marriott nor Marriott Vacation Club lists a park or airport shuttle, so plan on a rental car or rideshare. If you’d rather not drive, look at Orlando hotels with free Disney World shuttles.
- Park parking: Disney’s standard theme park parking is $35 a day including tax, and Disney Springs is free. Universal’s was $35 including tax at last check, and SeaWorld lists general parking at $37 plus tax online, though its FAQ says parking starts at $35.
- Park perks: none, so you book Lightning Lane 3 days ahead like other off-site guests, with no Universal Early Park Admission or free Express. For early entry, see the non-Disney hotels with Early Theme Park Entry.
- From the airport: the golf club’s directions take SR 528 (the Beachline, a toll road) west to Exit 1, International Drive. Turn left, and the resort is about 1.5 miles on the left.
Timeshare or hotel? Rentals vs the preview package
Grande Vista is a Marriott Vacation Club resort whose timeshare interests are owned by the MVC Trust, and owners can exchange stays through Abound by Marriott Vacations. You don’t need to own anything: a rental on Marriott.com or Booking.com works like a hotel booking.
The preview package is separate: at the time of writing, 5 days and 4 nights in a guest room with a kitchenette from $399 per stay ($199 deposit), with a required 90- to 120-minute timeshare sales presentation. Regular rental pages list no such requirement. Marriott Bonvoy rates and points are for direct Marriott bookings, not Booking.com.
Who Marriott’s Grande Vista suits
It suits multi-generation families and friend groups who’d rather share a villa than book two hotel rooms, plus golfers and SeaWorld trips. It’s a poor fit if you don’t drive or want Early Entry or Express.
