Three pet friendly hotels in Orlando with no weight limit put that rule in writing at last check on October 30, 2026: Sonesta ES Suites Orlando – Lake Buena Vista, Sonesta ES Suites Orlando – International Drive and Meliá Orlando Celebration. Universal’s three Loews hotels publish no weight limit and the four Rosen Inns state no size restrictions, but each group comes with a catch.

Quick answer: Near Disney, book Sonesta ES Suites Orlando – Lake Buena Vista: “no breed or weight restrictions”, $75 for stays of up to 7 nights and no resort fee. Without a car, Sonesta ES Suites Orlando – International Drive has the same pet terms plus shuttles in a $17 + tax resort fee. At Universal, Loews Royal Pacific Resort charges $150 per stay and includes Express Unlimited, but its policy is silent on weight. Rosen Inns must be booked directly for a dog.

How these no-weight-limit hotels were chosen

Each hotel was checked on October 30, 2026:

  • Numbered picks: the hotel’s or brand’s own pet page states that there is no weight limit (Sonesta: “no breed or weight restrictions”; Meliá: “no weight limits”), and no official agreement or terms page sets a cap.
  • No published limit: Universal’s three Loews hotels publish pet policies that never mention weight, so they are listed separately. Hard Rock Hotel and Margaritaville Resort Orlando, whose own agreement or terms set a cap, are not picks.
  • Bookable with a pet on Booking.com: house rules for a December 8 to 10, 2026 stay allow pets or allow them on request. The Rosen Inns fail this test.

Fees are plus tax unless stated. For dogs under 50 pounds, the broader guides to pet-friendly hotels in Orlando and pet-friendly hotels near Universal Orlando cover more options.

1. Sonesta ES Suites Orlando – Lake Buena Vista

Sonesta ES Suites Orlando – Lake Buena Vista welcomes well-mannered pets “with no breed or weight restrictions”, up to two per suite. The fee is $75 for stays of up to 7 nights and $150 for longer stays, on Sonesta’s page and Booking.com. Request a pet-friendly suite in advance.

This Disney Good Neighbor hotel at 8751 Suiteside Drive is about 2 miles by road from Disney Springs and about 6 to 7 miles from EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. Every suite has a fully equipped kitchen.

  • Why stay: a written no-weight-limit policy, no resort fee and suites with separate bedrooms.
  • Getting there / to the parks: no shuttle is confirmed; under a “Theme Park Shuttle” heading, Sonesta’s page only points guests to Uber and Lyft. Magic Kingdom’s Transportation and Ticket Center lot is about 7 road miles away.
  • Good to know: self-parking is $17 per night on Sonesta’s hotel page and Booking.com ($15 on one Sonesta page). Booking.com lists pets as “allowed on request”. Sonesta’s booking engine showed no pets in “Pool Area” suites when the site’s Sonesta review was checked on October 26, 2026.

Book it if:

  • You want a large dog near Disney with a written no-weight-limit policy.
  • You want to avoid a resort fee: the only add-on is $17 a night for parking.
  • You will cook most meals and want a bedroom door between you and the dog’s crate.

Skip it if:

  • You want a park shuttle: Sonesta ES Suites Orlando – International Drive includes Disney and Universal shuttles in its resort fee (rates link in section 2).
  • You want a fenced dog area on site: Meliá Orlando Celebration has a dog playground (rates link in section 3).

Best for: Disney trips by car. Our Sonesta ES Suites Lake Buena Vista review covers suite layouts and the shuttle conflict.

2. Sonesta ES Suites Orlando – International Drive

Sonesta ES Suites Orlando – International Drive uses the same written policy: “no breed or weight restrictions”, up to two pets per suite, $75 for stays of up to 7 nights and $150 for longer stays. Every suite has a fully equipped kitchen.

The hotel at 8480 International Drive is about 2.7 miles by road from Universal’s parking garages and about 3 miles from Epic Universe.

  • Why stay: shuttles to Disney and Universal, self-parking and Wi-Fi in one $17 + tax nightly resort fee, plus one- and two-bedroom suites.
  • Getting there / to the parks: Sonesta lists two or three morning departures to Walt Disney World (the Transportation and Ticket Center or EPCOT) and two to Universal’s theme parks, with evening returns. Reserve departures up to 48 hours ahead.
  • Good to know: Booking.com lists pets “on request” and a maximum of two dogs (Sonesta says two pets). A refundable deposit of up to $250 is taken by card at check-in. Breakfast costs extra; minimum check-in age is 21.

Book it if:

  • You want a written “no weight restrictions” policy near Universal.
  • You do not want to drive: the resort fee covers shuttles to both Disney and Universal.
  • You stay up to 7 nights and want a $75 pet fee instead of Loews’ $150.

Skip it if:

Best for: families without a car who want a suite and shuttles.

3. Meliá Orlando Celebration

Meliá Orlando Celebration follows Meliá’s Pet Friendly program, “designed only for dogs with no weight limits”, with a maximum of two dogs per room. The hotel page asks guests to add the Pet-Friendly service but does not publish its fee, which the program terms set per night and per pet. There is a fenced dog playground.

The hotel at 225 Celebration Place is about 5.6 road miles from Animal Kingdom’s parking, 6 to 7 miles from EPCOT’s main lot and 7.8 miles from Magic Kingdom’s Transportation and Ticket Center.

  • Why stay: one- and two-bedroom suites of about 690 to 1,070 square feet, most with kitchens.
  • Getting there / to the parks: Disney’s Good Neighbor listing named a complimentary scheduled shuttle when the site’s Meliá review was checked in October 2026, but Meliá’s perk terms tie it to MeliáRewards members booking with Meliá. Confirm eligibility.
  • Good to know: Booking.com’s price breakdown for December 8 to 10, 2026 showed a US$64 “Property service charge” for two nights ($32 a night) plus 13.5% tax. Meliá says one parking space is included, subject to availability, but Booking.com’s parking line says US$70 per day. Booking.com lists pets as “allowed on request. Charges may apply.”

Book it if:

  • You travel with one or two large dogs and want a fenced area to exercise them.
  • You want a kitchen suite on Disney’s south side.
  • You can confirm the pet fee and any hotel-specific conditions before arrival.

Skip it if:

Best for: big dogs that need exercise space. Our Meliá Orlando Celebration review details the fee, shuttle and parking conflicts.

No published weight limit: Universal’s three Loews hotels

Loews’ and Universal’s pages for these three hotels set the pet rules without any weight limit: cats and dogs, two pets per room, a one-time $150 fee per stay and proof of vaccinations. Neither brand writes “no weight limit”, so give the hotel your dog’s size when you book. The 2018 pet agreements Universal links still print a one-time $100 fee; budget $150.

Dogs are not allowed at the pool, lounge or restaurant areas. Overnight self-parking is $36 + tax per night (valet $45 + tax) on Universal’s pages, with no resort fee.

Loews Royal Pacific Resort

Loews Royal Pacific Resort includes free Universal Express Unlimited for registered guests at Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure. Express is not valid at Epic Universe or Volcano Bay. Pets stay in a pet-friendly room category, and Club level rooms are excluded.

  • Why stay: Express Unlimited and a walk of about 0.6 mile to the Universal Studios Florida gate, short enough for midday dog breaks.
  • Getting there / to the parks: walking paths and water taxis to CityWalk and the two original parks; free shuttle buses to Epic Universe, about 4 road miles away.
  • Good to know: Early Park Admission runs up to one hour early at select attractions (Islands of Adventure and Epic Universe, October 5 to November 30, 2026). Booking.com lists pets “on request”.

Book it if:

  • Your dog is over 50 pounds and you want an on-site Universal hotel with no published cap.
  • You stay four nights or longer, so the $150 fee works out to $37.50 a night or less.
  • You will use Express Unlimited on at least one day at the two original parks.

Skip it if:

  • You want a written no-weight-limit policy and a lower pet fee: Sonesta ES Suites Orlando – International Drive charges $75 for up to 7 nights (rates link in section 2).
  • You do not need Express: Loews Sapphire Falls Resort has the same pet terms and Early Park Admission without Express (rates link below).

Best for: large-dog owners who want Express. See our Loews Royal Pacific Resort review.

Loews Sapphire Falls Resort

Loews Sapphire Falls Resort uses the same Loews Loves Pets terms but does not include Universal Express Unlimited. Guests still get Early Park Admission, water taxis and shuttle buses.

  • Why stay: an on-site Universal hotel with no published weight cap and no Express premium.
  • Getting there / to the parks: about half a mile on the garden walkway to CityWalk, or the water taxi; free shuttle buses to Epic Universe, about 4.5 road miles away.
  • Good to know: Booking.com says “Pets are allowed” here, not “on request”.

Book it if:

  • You want to stay on-site at Universal with a large dog and do not need Express.
  • You want Early Park Admission and a walk or boat ride to the parks.
  • You are bringing a cat as well as a dog: Loews accepts both.

Skip it if:

  • You want Express Unlimited included: Loews Royal Pacific Resort has it, with the same $150 pet fee (rates link above).
  • You want a kitchen for long stays: Sonesta ES Suites Orlando – International Drive has a fully equipped kitchen in every suite (rates link in section 2).

Best for: on-site Universal stays without Express. See our Loews Sapphire Falls Resort review.

Loews Portofino Bay Hotel

Loews Portofino Bay Hotel includes free Universal Express Unlimited at the two original parks. Universal names Garden View and Bay View rooms as its pet rooms, and Club level rooms are excluded.

  • Why stay: long harborside paths for early and late dog walks.
  • Getting there / to the parks: water taxi to CityWalk, or about 0.8 mile on foot to Universal Studios Florida; free shuttle buses to Epic Universe, about 5 road miles away.
  • Good to know: Booking.com lists pets “on request”; add a note to the reservation.

Book it if:

  • You want Express Unlimited with a large dog.
  • You want a Garden View or Bay View room, the two room types Universal lists for pets.
  • You can plan park days around a sitter or midday returns.

Best for: couples with a big dog who want Express. Read our Loews Portofino Bay Hotel review.

No size limit, but book directly: the four Rosen Inns

The home pages of all four Rosen Inns describe “dog-friendly rooms with no dog breed or size restrictions”: Rosen Inn International, Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando, Rosen Inn Closest to Universal and Rosen Inn Lake Buena Vista. They accept up to two dogs per room with prior approval and proof of vaccinations. The fee is $15 per dog (plus tax, per night, on the International and Pointe Orlando pages; the other two say only “per dog”), and cash payers leave a refundable $50 + tax deposit.

The catch is the booking channel: on October 30, 2026, the Booking.com house rules for all four inns said “Pets are not allowed.” Rosen’s dog rooms need advance reservations, so book directly. Self-parking is $10 per night per car, capped at $50 per stay, with no resort fee. Our Rosen Inn hotels compared guide covers shuttles and pools.

Disney’s dog-friendly resorts: no weight limit in the dog policy

Disney’s dog policy card for Disney’s Art of Animation Resort (dated February 2021) sets no weight limit: dogs only, two per room, and not left alone in the room for more than seven hours. The pages for Art of Animation, Port Orleans Resort – Riverside and Yacht Club say “Limit 2 dogs per room. Restrictions and fees apply.” They do not list the fee; dog rooms are booked by phone at (407) 939-5277.

The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort are also dog-friendly, and campers can request a pet-friendly loop for $5.00 per night plus tax. Only service animals may ride Disney transportation or enter the parks and Disney Springs. Disney resorts are booked with Disney, not on Booking.com.

Hotels that look unlimited, but check first

  • Hard Rock Hotel: Universal’s page lists the same $150 fee and two pets, but the Unleashed pet agreement on Loews’ Hard Rock page accepts animals “weighing 50 pounds (23 kilos) or less” and bans leaving pets unattended. Treat 50 pounds as the limit. See our Hard Rock Hotel Orlando review.
  • Margaritaville Resort Orlando: the FAQ lists only the fee ($75 + tax per night, $300 maximum), but the terms page accepts “well-mannered dogs 30 lbs. or less”. Details in our Margaritaville Resort Orlando review.
  • Motel 6: the brand’s policies say pets stay free, two per room, with no weight limit listed, but no Orlando Motel 6 was checked for this guide. Confirm with the motel.

If no-limit rooms are sold out: 75 to 80-pound limits

These hotels publish a cap. Check whether it applies per pet or to both pets combined.

Red Roof caps the second-pet fee at $105 per pet for 7 or more nights. Figures are from the brands’ pages at last check (July to October 2026); Booking.com quotes a different Holiday Inn Express fee. True nightly cost: fees, parking and perks

Mandatory resort or service charge plus overnight self-parking, as published at last check, for a four-night stay with one dog, before tax:

  • Sonesta ES Suites Orlando – Lake Buena Vista: your rate + $0 resort fee + $17 parking = rate + $17 per night. 4 × $17 = $68, plus the $75 pet fee = $143 before tax.
  • Sonesta ES Suites Orlando – International Drive: your rate + $17 resort fee + $0 parking = rate + $17 per night. 4 × $17 = $68, plus the $75 pet fee = $143 before tax.
  • Meliá Orlando Celebration: your rate + $32 service charge + $0 parking = rate + $32 per night, or rate + $102 if Booking.com’s $70 parking line applies. 4 × $32 = $128, plus the unpublished pet fee.
  • Loews hotels: your rate + $0 resort fee + $36 parking = rate + $36 per night. 4 × $36 = $144, plus the $150 pet fee = $294 before tax.
  • Rosen Inns, booked direct: your rate + $0 resort fee + $10 parking = rate + $10 per night. 4 × $10 = $40 in parking. At the International and Pointe Orlando inns, which charge the dog fee nightly, add 4 × $15 = $60 for one dog: $100 in all.

Universal’s hotel comparison page, checked on October 30, 2026, values the Express Unlimited included at Loews Royal Pacific Resort and Loews Portofino Bay Hotel at “an average value of $259.99” per person per day. Universal’s online calendar priced the same 2-park pass at $184.99 to $399.99 per person, plus tax, for October 30, 2026 to April 30, 2027. For two adults on two park days, that is 2 × 2 × $184.99 = $739.96 to 2 × 2 × $399.99 = $1,599.96. Sonesta International Drive’s shuttles save Disney’s $35 standard parking charge on each day you ride.

Our guide to Orlando resort fees shows how to find these charges. Rates vary by season, availability and how far ahead you book.

Where your dog stays on park days

Only service animals may enter the Disney and Universal theme parks, so the room rules decide your day:

  • Sonesta: the PAWS FAQ says the hotel calls your cell phone after the first noise complaint, and two complaints can mean moving the pet elsewhere.
  • Meliá: the program terms ask you to take the dog out or keep it in its travel bag during room cleaning. No time limit for leaving a dog alone is published, so ask the hotel.
  • Loews hotels: the agreements Universal links ask you to supervise pets at all times and charge a $10 per hour “time out” fee if an unattended pet must be removed. The concierge keeps a list of outside pet sitters.
  • Rosen Inns: dogs left in the room must be securely crated.
  • Disney resorts: dogs should not be left alone for more than seven hours.

Best Friends Pet Care at Walt Disney World boards up to 300 dogs, cats and small pets. Disney says it opens one hour before the earliest park opening, closes one hour after the latest park closing and requires vaccine records from your veterinarian.

How to choose a no-weight-limit hotel

  • Disney trip with a car: Sonesta ES Suites Orlando – Lake Buena Vista for the lowest add-ons; Meliá Orlando Celebration for a fenced dog playground.
  • No car: Sonesta ES Suites Orlando – International Drive, with shuttles to Disney and Universal.
  • Universal on-site: Loews Royal Pacific Resort with Express, Loews Sapphire Falls Resort without it; state your dog’s size when you book.
  • Short stay, lowest add-ons: a Rosen Inn booked directly.

For the trade-offs between areas, see where to stay in Orlando.

Sonesta Travel Pass and MeliáRewards perks apply only to bookings made with the brand, not on Booking.com. Universal’s mobile check-in needs a booking made directly with Universal Orlando or Universal Parks & Resorts Vacations.

Frequently asked questions

Which Orlando hotels have no weight limit for dogs?

Sonesta ES Suites Orlando – Lake Buena Vista, Sonesta ES Suites Orlando – International Drive and Meliá Orlando Celebration state in writing that there is no weight limit. The four Rosen Inns say their dog rooms have no breed or size restrictions, but book them directly. Loews Royal Pacific Resort, Loews Sapphire Falls Resort and Loews Portofino Bay Hotel publish full pet policies that do not mention weight.

Do Universal Orlando hotels have a pet weight limit?

Universal lists four pet-friendly hotels. Royal Pacific, Sapphire Falls and Portofino Bay publish a $150 per-stay fee and a two-pet maximum without any weight limit, though neither Loews nor Universal writes “no weight limit”. Hard Rock Hotel’s Unleashed agreement on Loews’ site accepts pets of 50 pounds or less and bans leaving them unattended. Universal’s other hotels do not take pets.

Does Disney World have a weight limit for dogs at its resorts?

Disney’s dog policy card, dated February 2021, sets no weight limit. It allows dogs only, a maximum of two per room, and asks guests not to leave dogs alone for more than seven hours. Dog rooms are offered at select resorts, including Art of Animation, Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, Yacht Club and the Cabins at Fort Wilderness. Disney does not publish the fee on its resort pages.

Can a large dog stay at a Rosen Inn booked on Booking.com?

Not reliably. Rosen’s own pages welcome dogs with no breed or size restrictions, but on October 30, 2026 the Booking.com house rules for all four Rosen Inns said “Pets are not allowed.” Book directly with the hotel and say you are bringing a dog.

Which no-weight-limit hotel has the lowest pet fee?

Among the hotels with a written no-limit policy, both Sonesta ES Suites hotels charge a flat $75 for stays of up to 7 nights. Rosen Inn International and Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando charge $15 plus tax per dog per night, so one dog costs less there for up to four nights and more from the sixth night. The Loews hotels charge $150 per stay. Meliá does not publish its fee.

Bottom line

The best pet friendly hotels in Orlando with no weight limit in writing are Sonesta ES Suites Orlando – Lake Buena Vista for Disney trips by car, with a $75 fee for up to 7 nights and no resort fee, and Sonesta ES Suites Orlando – International Drive for trips without a car, with Disney and Universal shuttles in its $17 resort fee. At Universal, Loews Royal Pacific Resort adds Express for a flat $150 pet fee, with no published weight limit. Rosen Inns cost less on short stays but must be booked directly. See current prices for Sonesta ES Suites Orlando – Lake Buena Vista or check availability for your dates at Sonesta ES Suites Orlando – International Drive.

How we checked this guide: pet policies were read on each hotel’s or brand’s own pages and pet agreements on October 30, 2026, using archived 2026 copies where a brand site blocked automated access (Meliá’s program page from July 2026; Red Roof, Drury, Motel 6 and IHG from July to October 2026), and compared with each Booking.com listing’s house rules and price breakdown for a December 8 to 10, 2026 stay. Distances are public-road and footpath routes, with Universal-area routes re-run on October 30, 2026. How we research our guides.
