Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando – Disney Springs Area is an Official Walt Disney World Hotel on Hotel Plaza Boulevard, about half a mile from Disney Springs. The nightly rate includes a free hot breakfast, the free 5:30 Kickback with hot food and drinks in the evening, and a free shuttle to all four Disney theme parks. There is no resort fee.
Being in the Disney Springs Resort Area also gets you Disney’s 30-minute Early Theme Park Entry. You don’t get the full Disney resort package, though: there’s no Disney bus, monorail or Skyliner service from the hotel, no Extended Evening Hours and no 7-day Lightning Lane window, and parking costs extra.
Quick answer: Book the Drury Plaza for a Disney-only trip if you want breakfast, an evening snack-and-drinks hour and park transportation included in the rate. It also suits groups of five (six in a suite), Disney Springs evenings and travelers with a dog or cat. Skip it if Universal is your focus, or if you want Disney’s own transportation, Extended Evening Hours or a themed resort with waterslides.

Location: a walk to Disney Springs, a short ride to the parks
Hotel Plaza Boulevard is a short road lined with Disney Springs Resort Area hotels, with Disney Springs, Walt Disney World’s shopping, dining and entertainment district, at its western end. Drury’s own pages put it 0.5 to 0.8 miles away: an easy walk on a cool evening, a sweaty one in summer. Free Disney Springs shuttles also run, but at the time of writing only about ten a day at set times, not every 30 minutes as one hotel page says.

The hotel sits beside Lake Buena Vista, with the pool deck and Lakeside Bar & Grill facing the water. Fireworks views, which the Disney Springs hotels’ site mentions, depend on your floor and which way your room faces. Typhoon Lagoon is the closest Disney water park, about 1.5 miles away by the hotel’s figure.
Getting to the parks: how the Drury shuttle works
Transportation is the biggest difference from a Disney-owned resort, where Disney buses (and at some resorts monorail, Skyliner or boats) leave from the hotel. Here you use Drury’s own free shuttle, which works like this according to the hotel’s pages and weekly schedule at the time of writing:
- Cost and booking: Free for guests. No reservations; seats are first come, first served.
- Where to board: Under the canopy outside the front entrance.
- Frequency: The hotel describes hourly service, but the weekly schedule lists set times from about 15 minutes to over an hour apart, with at least two stops per route. Official pages put the first departures 1.5 to 2 hours before park opening, early enough for Early Theme Park Entry, and the last about 1.5 hours after closing. Be at the stop 10 minutes early.
- Accessibility, strollers and bags: Each bus takes two wheelchairs or ECVs, first come, first served. Strollers must be folded before boarding, and luggage isn’t allowed. The FAQ allows drinks but not food; the printed schedule says food and drinks must be safely stored.
- Special events: The hotel currently offers free late-night rides back from select after-hours events at Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios.

| Park | Distance (druryhotels.com) | Return pickup spot |
|---|---|---|
| Magic Kingdom | About 5 miles | Transportation and Ticket Center, stop C19 |
| Hollywood Studios | About 5 miles | Lane 64 |
| EPCOT | About 6 miles | Lane 36 |
| Animal Kingdom | About 8 miles | Charter bus area, green canopy |
The hotel’s microsite lists shorter distances (2.5 to 5.3 miles), so treat these as rough. For Magic Kingdom, the bus stops at the Transportation and Ticket Center and you continue by monorail or ferry, so leave extra time on Early Entry mornings. A missed bus can mean a long wait; a rideshare is the usual backup. Water park shuttles are listed too, but the schedule at the time of writing showed one daily round trip, to Blizzard Beach. To compare this with other hotels that run free buses, see our list of Orlando hotels with free Disney World shuttles.
Driving instead? Hotel parking is $28 per night and Disney’s standard theme park parking is $35 per day, both at the time of writing. Disney lists standard parking at Disney Springs and its two water parks as complimentary. The shuttle serves Disney destinations only, so Universal and SeaWorld mean driving or a rideshare. For airport transfers, the hotel links to Mears Connect, a paid shared shuttle. Our guide to getting from Orlando airport to Disney World compares that with rideshare and other options.
Disney perks: what you get and what you don’t
Disney lists the Drury Plaza among the select non-Disney hotels with 30-minute Early Theme Park Entry. It applies at any theme park, every day of your stay, including check-in and check-out days. You need valid park admission and a MagicBand, Disney MagicMobile pass or Key to the World card, and Disney says a theme park reservation may be needed depending on your ticket type. Link your hotel confirmation number in the My Disney Experience app before you arrive. If that fails, the hotel says the front desk can give you an Early Entry voucher.
| Perk | Drury Plaza guests | Disney Resort hotel guests |
|---|---|---|
| Early Theme Park Entry | Yes, 30 minutes daily | Yes, 30 minutes daily |
| Extended Evening Hours | No | Deluxe and Deluxe Villa resorts only |
| Lightning Lane purchase window | Up to 3 days before each park day | Up to 7 days before arrival |
| Park transportation | Hotel shuttle on a set schedule | Disney buses; monorail, Skyliner or boats at some resorts |
| Theme park parking | Paid at Disney’s daily rate | Standard parking included |
The hotel’s Disney page also lists a “60 + 10 day” dining and recreation booking window, which Disney’s own site describes for Disney Resort hotel guests, so confirm it applies to you. Annual Passholders get up to 15% off the Best Flexible Rate and, the hotel says, can book park reservations for their whole stay outside the usual passholder allotments; check current terms. For the other hotels that share this perk, see our full list of non-Disney hotels with Early Theme Park Entry.
Free breakfast, the 5:30 Kickback and other dining
Food is the main reason families pick a Drury. Both free meals are served on the second floor; hours below are the hotel’s at the time of writing.
- Free hot breakfast (6:00 to 10:00 am daily): Scrambled eggs, sausage, fresh fruit, oatmeal, biscuits and gravy and coffee. The hotel’s dining page also lists Mickey waffles. The 6:00 am start means you can eat before an early shuttle.
- Free 5:30 Kickback (5:30 to 7:30 pm nightly): A rotating menu of hot “dinnertime snacks” with beer, wine, mixed drinks and soft drinks. The hotel says guests 21 and over get three free alcoholic drinks each evening.
- Free popcorn and soda (4:00 to 8:00 pm): In the second-floor Commons.
For paid meals, the lobby Kitchen + Bar is open from 5:00 pm until midnight (11:00 pm on Sunday). The poolside Lakeside Bar & Grill has a full bar and a kids’ menu, but its listed hours differ between the hotel’s pages, so check on arrival. There’s also a Coffee Bar serving Starbucks drinks from 6:00 am, and the Market Place (6:00 am to midnight), which sells Pizza Hut Express pizza, beer, wine and snacks.

If included meals are your priority, our roundup of Orlando hotels with free breakfast near the theme parks shows how the Drury compares.
Rooms and suites: which one fits your group
Every room has free Wi-Fi, a TV, a microwave, a refrigerator, a coffee maker, a safe, a hair dryer and an iron. Occupancy is capped at five in a standard room and six in a suite, not counting a child in a crib. The hotel’s room pages and the Disney Springs hotels’ site list these types:
| Room type | Beds | Sleeps up to | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|
| King | 1 king | 3 | Couples, solo travelers |
| Queen | 2 queens | 5 | Families of 4 to 5 |
| King or Queen with Terrace | 1 king or 2 queens | 3 or 5 | Outdoor space |
| King Suite | King + queen sofa sleeper | 5 | A door between parents and kids |
| Queen Suite | Queen-bed bedroom + queen sofa sleeper | 6 | Families of 6 |

The suites have a bedroom with its own door and a separate living area with the sofa sleeper, which helps when kids go to bed before you do. Five people in a two-queen room is tight. Our guide to rooms that sleep 5 or 6 at Disney World and Universal compares the alternatives.
- Cribs and rollaways: Pack ‘n Plays are free; request one when you book to guarantee it. Rollaways cost $15 per day plus tax, subject to availability.
- Accessibility: The Disney Springs hotels’ site lists 71 ADA rooms. Room types may be available with mobility or hearing-accessible features when you book.
- Check-in and checkout: 4:00 pm and 11:00 am. Early check-in and late checkout cost $50 each, when available.

The in-room microwave and fridge come in handy for park snacks, leftovers and baby bottles.
Pool, splash pad and arcade
This isn’t a water-park hotel, but the lakeside pool deck works well for a break day. The saltwater pool is heated year-round and has an outdoor whirlpool and a splash pad for small children. It’s open 8:00 am to 11:00 pm, with a lift for guests with disabilities, and the Lakeside Bar & Grill serves the deck.

Indoors, the Level Up Arcade (pay to play), the fitness center and the business center are open 24 hours. The Disney Springs hotels’ site also lists coin laundry and Walt Disney World golf discounts.
Fees and policies to know before you book
Figures below are from the hotel’s official pages at the time of writing; check current terms before booking.
- Resort fee: None, so you pay the room rate plus tax, and parking if you drive.
- Parking: $28 per night, self-parking only. One older hotel FAQ page still says $25 plus tax, so confirm when you book.
- Pets: Dogs and cats are welcome for $50 per room per day plus tax. The limit is two pets with a combined weight of 80 pounds; service animals stay free.
- Payment: Cash isn’t accepted for room and tax at check-in, and you must be 18 or older to reserve.
- Discounts: Florida and Georgia resident, Annual Passholder, AAA, military and senior rates are listed for direct bookings; restrictions and blackout dates may apply, and they generally can’t be combined.

Best for and not ideal for
Best for:
- Disney-only trips without a rental car: the free shuttle, Early Entry and walkable Disney Springs cover most needs.
- Families watching their budget: free breakfast and the Kickback cut daily food costs, and there’s no resort fee.
- Groups of five in one standard room, or six in a suite.
- Travelers bringing a dog or cat.
Not ideal for:
- Universal or Epic Universe trips: there’s no hotel shuttle to Universal.
- Anyone who wants Disney’s own transportation, Extended Evening Hours or the 7-day Lightning Lane window, which come with Disney Resort hotels (Extended Evening Hours only at Deluxe and Deluxe Villa resorts).
- Families who want a pool with slides or a lazy river.
- Drivers on a tight budget: hotel parking plus Disney park parking adds up.
Nearby alternatives in the Disney Springs Resort Area
The neighboring hotels share Early Entry and the walk to Disney Springs but differ in what’s included and how you reach the parks:
- Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista: another Early Entry hotel on the same street. Our Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista guide covers its shuttle, fees and rooms.
- DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Orlando: billed as the only all-suite hotel in the Disney Springs Area, worth a look if everyone needs a suite.

Frequently asked questions
Does Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando charge a resort fee?
No. The hotel’s official information page states there is no resort fee. You still pay tax, and self-parking if you drive ($28 per night at the time of writing). Early check-in, late checkout, rollaways and pets have their own charges, so check current terms before booking.
Is the Drury Plaza Orlando shuttle to Disney free?
Yes. Guests ride free to Magic Kingdom (via the Transportation and Ticket Center), EPCOT, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom, with no reservation needed. The hotel describes hourly service that starts before park opening and runs past closing; its weekly online schedule lists set departure times at irregular intervals, so check it before planning your morning. Seats are first come, first served.
Can you walk from Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando to Disney Springs?
Yes. The hotel lists Disney Springs at 0.5 to 0.8 miles away, a walk west along Hotel Plaza Boulevard. It’s easy for most adults in cooler weather but can feel long with small children in summer. The hotel also runs free Disney Springs shuttles, but at the time of writing its schedule showed about ten set departures a day rather than a frequent loop.
Do Drury Plaza guests get Early Theme Park Entry?
Yes. Walt Disney World lists the Drury Plaza among the select hotels whose guests get 30 minutes of early entry at any Disney theme park, every day. You need valid admission and a MagicBand, MagicMobile pass or Key to the World card, and a park reservation may be needed depending on your ticket type. Link your reservation in My Disney Experience or ask the front desk for a voucher.
Is the 5:30 Kickback really free?
Yes. It’s included with every stay and served nightly from 5:30 to 7:30 pm on the second floor, with rotating hot food plus beer, wine, mixed drinks and soft drinks. The hotel says guests 21 and over get three free alcoholic drinks each evening. The menu changes, so treat it as a light meal rather than a full dinner.
