Wyndham Lake Buena Vista vs Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista comes down to one question: do you want a room in the 19-story tower, or a cheaper room in the two five-story courtyard buildings beside it? Both hotels share the same campus at 1850 Hotel Plaza Boulevard in the Disney Springs Resort Area, the same Oasis pools, the same restaurants, the same hourly Disney shuttle, the same $36-plus-tax resort fee and the same 30-minute Early Theme Park Entry.

They are still two separate hotels, with separate Booking.com listings and rates, and the name on your confirmation decides which building you sleep in. We checked the hotels’ website, Wyndham’s pages, Booking.com, Disney and the shuttle operator in October 2026; fees and schedules change, so confirm before you book.

Quick answer: book Wyndham Lake Buena Vista if you want interior corridors, a higher floor and a Disney View or lake-view room, and the rate gap on your dates is small. Book Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista, which the hotel itself calls “the budget-minded solution”, if the room is mostly a place to sleep and you would rather keep the difference. Everything else, from the pools and dining to the shuttle, Early Entry, resort fee and parking, is identical.

Wyndham Lake Buena Vista vs Wyndham Garden at a glance

The two hotels are run as one complex, so most of this comparison is a tie. The differences sit in the buildings, the beds and the views. Both were open and bookable on Booking.com for our sample stays in November 2026, January 2027 and March 2027.

Wyndham Lake Buena Vista: the tower

Wyndham Lake Buena Vista is the 19-story tower at 1850 Hotel Plaza Boulevard, an Official Walt Disney World Hotel. All 232 lake house-themed rooms are in the tower, reached by elevator along interior corridors, and the top categories face the parks: the hotel says its Disney View rooms look over Disney Springs with “fireworks off in the distance”. Wyndham’s brand page lists the rooms at 312 square feet, with two queen beds or a king and a sofa bed.

The front desk, coffee shop, lounge, fitness center and arcade are on the lobby level, with the LakeView Restaurant on the mezzanine. Our Wyndham Lake Buena Vista review covers the tower in detail.

Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista: the courtyard buildings

Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista is the low-rise half of the campus, listed separately at 1850 B Hotel Plaza Boulevard. Its 394 rooms fill two five-story, courtyard-style buildings, and every room opens onto an exterior corridor, which the hotel sells as a way to “enjoy the famous Florida breezes”. The hotel calls the rooms newly renovated, without giving a date. Pool View rooms look over the Oasis pool, the courtyard and the lake; Courtyard View rooms face the landscaped courtyard. Booking.com lists the rooms at about 27 square meters, roughly 290 square feet, a little smaller than the tower’s.

You get the same amenities, shuttle and Disney perks as tower guests, so the trade-off is an open-air walkway instead of an indoor hallway, a courtyard or pool view instead of a Disney view, and usually a lower rate. The hotel’s accessibility page lists elevators in all buildings. Our Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista review has the full rundown.

Location: one campus, one walk to Disney Springs

Both hotels sit on the same grounds off Hotel Plaza Boulevard, inside Walt Disney World property, and the hotel calls them “the closest hotels to Disney Springs”. The pedestrian bridge starts to the right of the front entrance, and the hotel quotes a 5-to-7-minute walk for guests of either hotel, so there is no meaningful difference between the two.

Our OSRM walking route is about 0.4 mile (9 minutes) to the Disney Springs end of the bridge, 0.55 mile (12 minutes) to the Rainforest Cafe at the Marketplace, 0.6 mile (13 minutes) to World of Disney and 0.75 mile (16 minutes) to The Boathouse. Our Disney Springs guide covers what is over there.

By road (OSRM, public roads to each guest parking entrance), both are about 5 miles from EPCOT’s main lot and Hollywood Studios, 6 miles from Magic Kingdom’s Transportation and Ticket Center lot and Animal Kingdom, 8 to 9.5 miles from Epic Universe’s parking toll plaza, about 10 miles from the Universal garages and 18 to 19 miles from Orlando International Airport.

Rooms: tower rooms vs courtyard rooms

Every room at both hotels lists a 55-inch HDTV, a fridge with a freezer, a coffee maker and a laptop safe. Neither puts a microwave in the room (one is available at Sundial 24-7), neither offers rollaways or cots, and both lend Pack ‘n Plays free.

Wyndham Lake Buena Vista sells four categories: Disney View Two Queen Beds, Disney View King (with a sofa bed), Tower Two Queen Beds (some with lake views) and an accessible two-queen room. Wyndham’s brand page gives 312 square feet and a capacity of 4 for the two-queen rooms and 3 for the king; Booking.com lists the two-queen rooms and the kings with a sofa bed for up to 4 (and an accessible one-queen room for 2), so check the occupancy on the rate you choose.

Wyndham Garden sells Pool View Two Double Beds, Courtyard View Two Doubles, a king room and an accessible one-queen room. Booking.com lists the two-double rooms (standard, courtyard view and lake view) and the King Room with Lake View, which has a sofa bed, for up to 4, its other king rooms for 2 and the accessible queen rooms for 2 or 3. Two double beds are a tighter fit for four than two queens, and no Garden room is sold as a Disney View.

The hotels’ promotion terms cap rooms at four guests, and the fifth-night offer adds that children under 18 stay free in their parents’ room. A family of five or more needs two rooms here or a suite elsewhere: our guide to Disney Springs Resort Area hotels compares the area’s all-suite hotel and the other neighbors.

Pools and recreation: one Oasis for both

There is no separate tower or Garden pool. The Oasis Aquatic Pool area behind the hotel serves both, with a 189,000-gallon heated pool under a rock waterfall, a smaller cool-down pool, an elevated hot tub overlooking the lake and a zero-entry playground with sprays and a tipping bucket. Cabanas rent first come, first served, and the Oasis Restaurant sits on the deck.

The pool area is open 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., with towels provided, and there are basketball and sand volleyball courts, a lobby-level fitness center and the Good Game Arcade, with more than 30 games. The only difference is the route: the hotel describes Garden rooms as having an exterior entrance with easy access to the pools and playground, while tower guests ride down and walk out the back.

Dining and breakfast: shared, and not included

Neither hotel includes breakfast, and both use the same five outlets:

  • LakeView Restaurant (mezzanine): All-American breakfast buffet with Mickey waffles plus an a la carte menu, 6:30 to 11 a.m.
  • Joffrey’s Coffee Shop (lobby): barista drinks, pastries and made-to-order breakfast sandwiches, 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Sundial 24-7 (lobby level): self-service grab-and-go food and drinks around the clock, plus the guest microwave.
  • Oasis Restaurant (poolside): lunch and dinner 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., weather permitting; bar 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The resort fee gives 10% off food and non-alcoholic drinks here.
  • Eclipse Lounge (lobby level): Florida spirits, craft beer, cocktails and light bites, 5 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., with happy hour 5 to 7 p.m.

These are the hotel’s listed hours in October 2026 and can change, and Booking.com shows breakfast as a paid extra at both hotels. If free breakfast matters more than the walk, read our Drury Plaza vs Holiday Inn Disney Springs comparison.

Resort fee, parking and other charges: identical

The Know Before You Go page, shared by both hotels, lists one set of charges. Wyndham’s rates pages for each hotel show the resort fee as $40.50 per night ($36 plus Orange County’s 12.5% tax), and the “taxes and fees” on our Booking.com sample stays matched that fee plus the 12.5% room tax at both. Check the price breakdown before you confirm.

ChargeAmountNotes
Resort fee$36 + tax per night$40.50 with tax on Wyndham’s rates pages
Gated self-parking$30 + tax per night, per vehicleDay visitors $30 + tax

Package handling$10 per packageFedEx or UPS; USPS doesn’t deliver
Incidental hold$75 or $150Stays up to 3 nights, or 4 nights and more

The resort fee covers premium Wi-Fi, the fridge and safe, the fitness and recreation facilities, the Oasis Restaurant discount, 50% off Walt Disney World golf rental equipment and a coupon book; the shuttle is listed separately as complimentary. Check-in is at 4 p.m., check-out at 11 a.m., and the minimum check-in age is 18 with photo ID at both hotels. Neither takes pets (service animals are welcome).

Disney perks: Early Entry, Lightning Lane and the shared shuttle

Disney’s Early Theme Park Entry page lists “Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista” and “Wyndham Lake Buena Vista” as two separate entries among its 15 select non-Disney hotels, so guests of either can enter any of the four theme parks 30 minutes before official opening on every day of their stay. You need valid admission, a park reservation where required and a Resort ID, and Disney says the benefit continues through 2027. Our list of non-Disney hotels with Early Theme Park Entry has the full set.

The hotels’ Disney Benefits and Disney Advantage pages add Lightning Lane purchases 3 days ahead, dining reservations 60 days ahead and golf tee times up to 90 days ahead. Disney’s Lightning Lane page gives Disney Resort hotel guests and four other hotels on Disney property a 7-day window instead; our Disney Lightning Lane guide explains the difference. What neither Wyndham gets: Extended Evening Hours, which Disney limits to its Deluxe and Deluxe Villa resorts plus those same four hotels; free theme-park parking (Disney charges $35 a day for standard parking); and Disney’s own buses.

The shuttle. One complimentary shuttle serves both hotels. The FAQ says hourly buses run to Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom, with the first pickup 90 minutes before each park opens and the last run 90 minutes after it closes. Reservations are required, wheelchair and scooter users must ask 48 hours ahead, and there is no service to the water parks, runDisney or after-hours events. The operator, Fabulous Buses, lists four “Wyndham” routes in its booking system, free with a promo code from the hotel. Its calendar for Tuesday, November 17, 2026, checked on October 16, showed these runs:

ParkDepartures from the hotelReturn pickups listed
Magic KingdomHourly, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.From the TTC, hourly 11:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
EPCOTHourly, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.Hourly, 1:40 to 10:40 p.m.
Hollywood StudiosHourly, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.Hourly, 12:40 to 10:40 p.m.
Animal KingdomHourly, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.Hourly, 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Treat these as samples: the operator’s form tells you to verify the park’s closing time, and runs move with park hours. On that date the first bus left at 7 a.m., in time for Early Entry at a 9 a.m. park. For Universal or SeaWorld you need a car or a rideshare; for Orlando International the hotel suggests Mears Connect, a taxi or a rideshare. Our list of hotels near EPCOT with a shuttle compares other hotels’ timetables.

Kids, families and the direct-booking extras

Both hotels run the same family offers, and they are direct-booking deals. At the time of writing, each hotel’s offers page carried a “Kids Eat Free This Summer” package, with a free daily LakeView breakfast buffet for one child aged 10 and under per paying adult on that rate plan, and a “Stay Four Nights, Get the Fifth Night Free” rate worth 20% off, limited to four guests per room. As the hotel’s own rate plans, neither applies to a Booking.com reservation, and the summer package is seasonal, so check the offers page for current dates. The same goes for Wyndham Rewards: Wyndham’s program terms say bookings made on third-party sites, naming booking.com, are not Qualified Stays and earn no points.

Booking.com lists free cribs for children up to 2, no extra beds, and children 16 and over charged as adults, at both hotels. For families, two queens in the tower give four people more room than two doubles, while the Garden’s exterior corridor lets a stroller roll straight in but means your door opens to the outside. Our roundup of Wyndham hotels near Disney World covers the other Wyndham-branded options, and our guide to the best hotels near Disney World puts both in the wider picture.

Choose Wyndham Lake Buena Vista if…

  • You want a Disney View or lake-view room on a high floor, with Disney Springs and the distant fireworks outside the window.
  • You prefer interior corridors and an elevator ride straight down to the restaurants.
  • You are a family of four who will sleep better on two queens than on two doubles.
  • The rate difference on your dates is small enough that the view and the tower are worth it.

Choose Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista if…

  • You want the same pools, shuttle, Early Entry and Disney Springs walk at the lower rate; on each of our three sample Booking.com searches the Garden was the cheaper of the two, though the gap varied by date.
  • You like a low-rise, open-air layout with the courtyard and pool deck a few steps from the room.
  • You are a couple, or a family of three, for whom a king with a sofa bed or two doubles is plenty.
  • You will spend your days in the parks and at Disney Springs, and the view doesn’t matter.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Wyndham Lake Buena Vista and Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista?

They are two hotels on one campus at 1850 Hotel Plaza Boulevard. Wyndham Lake Buena Vista is the 19-story tower with 232 lake house-themed rooms, interior corridors and Disney View and lake-view categories. Wyndham Garden has 394 rooms in two five-story courtyard buildings with exterior corridors and pool or courtyard views. They share the pools, restaurants, shuttle, resort fee and Early Entry, but you book them separately.

Do Wyndham Garden guests get the same pool, restaurants and shuttle as the tower?

Yes. The hotel’s website presents the two as one dual-branded complex, and Wyndham’s Garden page lists the same two pools, hot tub, Good Game Arcade, fitness center and on-site restaurants. The hourly Disney shuttle, the Early Theme Park Entry benefit, the resort fee and the parking charge are all set at the campus level, and the operator’s booking calendar lists one set of Wyndham shuttle runs for both hotels.

Is the resort fee the same at Wyndham Lake Buena Vista and Wyndham Garden?

Yes. The shared FAQ lists $36 plus tax per night, subject to change, and Wyndham’s rates pages for both hotels show $40.50 a night with the 12.5% tax. It covers premium Wi-Fi, the fridge and safe, the fitness center and recreation facilities, 10% off at the Oasis Restaurant, a golf rental discount and a coupon book. Self-parking is $30 plus tax a night at both.

Do both Wyndham hotels at Disney Springs get Early Theme Park Entry?

Yes. Disney’s Early Theme Park Entry page lists “Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista” and “Wyndham Lake Buena Vista” separately among the select non-Disney hotels, so guests of either can enter any of the four theme parks 30 minutes early every day of their stay, with valid admission, a park reservation where required and a Resort ID. Disney says the benefit continues through 2027. Neither hotel gets Extended Evening Hours or the 7-day Lightning Lane window.

Which Wyndham is closer to Disney Springs?

Neither has an edge. The two hotels share one entrance, and the pedestrian bridge to Disney Springs starts to the right of that front entrance, so the hotel quotes the same 5-to-7-minute walk for both. Our OSRM walking check measured about 0.55 mile to the Rainforest Cafe at the Marketplace end and about 0.6 mile to World of Disney, so allow 12 to 15 minutes with kids.

Which is cheaper, Wyndham Lake Buena Vista or Wyndham Garden?

Usually the Garden. On each of our three sample Booking.com searches in October 2026, for stays in November 2026, January 2027 and March 2027, the Garden’s cheapest room came in below the tower’s, though the gap changed with the dates. Rates vary by season, availability and how far ahead you book, and the resort fee and parking are the same at both, so compare the total for your dates rather than the headline rate.

Bottom line

Wyndham Lake Buena Vista vs Wyndham Garden is a choice between rooms, not resorts. Pay for the tower if a Disney View or lake-view room, interior corridors and two queen beds matter to you; take the Garden if you want the same pools, dining, hourly shuttle, Early Entry and Disney Springs walk at a lower rate and don’t mind an exterior corridor and two doubles. Budget $36 plus tax a night for the resort fee and $30 plus tax to park at either one. Rates vary by season, availability and how far ahead you book.
