JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek is a 516-room luxury resort in the Bonnet Creek enclave next to Walt Disney World, with a resort shuttle to the Disney parks, family loft suites with bunk beds, two pools, a kids club and rooftop spots for watching the fireworks. It is a strong pick if you want upscale rooms and space for the whole family a few minutes from Disney Springs and the parks.
It is not perfect for every Disney trip, though. Unlike its Hilton neighbors in Bonnet Creek, it is not on Disney’s Early Theme Park Entry list, Marriott’s pool listing has no lazy river, and the daily resort fee plus parking adds up quickly. Here is what to know before you book.
Fees and policies below come from Marriott’s, the resort’s and Disney’s official pages; treat prices as “at last check” and confirm them when you book.
Quick answer: Book JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek if you want a modern, upscale Disney-area resort with family loft suites, a Disney shuttle covered by the resort fee, a kids club and fireworks views. Skip it if Early Theme Park Entry, a lazy river or low extra fees are top priorities; the Signia by Hilton and Waldorf Astoria next door both have Early Entry.

Location and distances to Disney and Universal
The resort sits on Chelonia Parkway inside Bonnet Creek, a pocket of resorts and preserve land wrapped by Disney property. Marriott describes it as “nestled just within the gates of Walt Disney World.” That is about location, not ownership: this is a Marriott resort, not a Disney resort, so Disney-only resort benefits do not apply.
The setting is quieter than International Drive. There are no walkable restaurant strips outside the gate, so you will rely on the resort’s own venues, the shuttle or a car for Disney Springs. Our guide to the Bonnet Creek hotels compares the five resorts in the enclave side by side.

Marriott does not publish distances to each park. By road, EPCOT’s main parking lot is about 5 to 5.5 miles away on public roads (shorter routes use Disney’s private backstage roads), Hollywood Studios and Disney Springs about 4.5 miles, and Magic Kingdom’s parking lot and Animal Kingdom about 6.5 miles, roughly 15 to 20 minutes without traffic. Universal Orlando and Epic Universe are about 13 to 14 miles away and SeaWorld about 9 miles; the resort lists no shuttle to them.
From the airport, Marriott lists Orlando International (MCO) at 21.4 miles and states that the hotel does not provide an airport shuttle. Plan on a rideshare, taxi, private transfer or rental car.
Rooms and suites
All 516 rooms and suites have floor-to-ceiling windows, and Marriott sells them by view: resort or pool view, Disney Springs view and Partial Fireworks View for standard rooms, while a full fireworks view is listed only on certain suites. Standard rooms measure about 375 to 412 sq ft. A king room (most with a sofa bed) sleeps up to 3, and a two-queen room sleeps up to 4. Every room type in Marriott’s listing has a mini fridge and a coffee and tea maker.

Families have the best options here. The Family Loft Suite (about 780 sq ft) has a king bedroom, a second room with two double bunk beds, two sofa beds and two and a half bathrooms, and sleeps up to 7. The two-bedroom suites (a king plus two queens) also sleep up to 7, and the one-bedroom Executive Suites (about 773 to 810 sq ft, with two sofa beds and one and a half baths) sleep up to 4. Marriott notes that connecting rooms are available for some room types.

At the top end are the Luxury Suite (about 1,317 sq ft) and the Presidential Suite (about 2,107 sq ft), each listed for up to 4 guests. Rollaway beds are not permitted in two-queen rooms, so a family of five should look at a suite or two connecting rooms.
Pools and recreation
Marriott lists two heated resort pools, one of them adults-only, along with a children’s pool, a whirlpool and towels provided. Private cabanas and daybeds cost extra, with optional celebration decor packages.

What you will not find in Marriott’s pool listing is a lazy river or waterslide. If those matter, the Signia by Hilton next door has both a lazy river and a waterslide, and our list of Orlando hotels with lazy rivers rounds up other options.
Other recreation leans active and family-friendly: the Mount Chelonia rock-climbing wall, rooftop mini garden golf, a fairy door scavenger hunt around the property, and a kids and teen activity center on the 6th floor. The rock wall and mini golf are listed among the resort fee inclusions; at last check they ran daily from 10 am to 5 pm, with reservations required and age and weight rules.
Dining and breakfast
Marriott lists seven dining venues:
- Sear + Sea Woodfire Grill: steakhouse with prime cuts, seafood and a 1,200-bottle wine cellar.
- Illume: modern Japanese restaurant on the ninth floor with views of Disney’s nightly fireworks.
- Sear + Sea Lobby Bar: small plates, champagne and cocktails, with a large gin selection.
- Unreserved Food Bazaar: casual European-style marketplace for breakfast and lunch, with a fresh juice bar.
- Unreserved Beer Garden: outdoor lounge with craft beer and a simple menu.
- JW Market: café with illy coffee, teas, cold-pressed juices and local snacks.
- Palm Cove: poolside restaurant and bar.

Marriott says breakfast is available on site for a fee at Unreserved Food Bazaar (listed from 7 to 11 am) and JW Market, so it is not part of standard room rates; check whether your rate or package includes it. Room service is available. The resort is cashless: you need a credit card at check-in, and an ATM is on site.
Parking, resort fee and other costs
Extra charges are the biggest catch here, so add them to the room rate before you compare hotels. Rates vary by season, availability and how far ahead you book.
| Charge | Amount at last check | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Resort fee | $55 per night + tax | Disney shuttle, Wi-Fi, mini golf, rock wall |
| Self-parking | $43 per day | 7-ft garage, no RVs |
| Valet parking | $59 per day | EV charging via valet, extra fee |
| Pet fee | $250 per stay | Up to 2 dogs or cats, 40 lb max |
Marriott’s rooms page listed the resort fee as $55 per night, excluding tax, when we checked in October 2026, and it notes that the rate and inclusions can change. Parking prices come from Marriott’s hotel page as archived in May 2026.
Check-in is at 4 pm and check-out at 11 am.

Transport to the Disney parks
The resort fee includes shuttle service to the Disney theme parks and to Disney Springs. Marriott’s What to Expect page sends you to the resort’s online shuttle reservation site for scheduled hours, live tracking and seat bookings, so check times there or at the front desk, especially before park opening or after the fireworks, when lines are longest.
Early Theme Park Entry is the key detail to check. Disney’s official list of non-Disney hotels with 30-minute Early Theme Park Entry includes the Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek and the Waldorf Astoria Orlando, but not JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek at the time of writing. If rope-drop access matters, compare our full list of non-Disney hotels with Early Theme Park Entry.
If you drive instead, Disney charges $35 per day for standard theme park parking (preferred spots cost $50 to $60), while standard self-parking at Disney Springs is free. That is on top of the hotel’s own parking fee.
Spa, kids club, fitness and Wi-Fi
- Spa by JW: a 9,920-sq-ft spa with 10 treatment rooms, express pods, a steam room and a full-service salon; listed hours at last check were 10 am to 5 pm on weekdays and 9 am to 6 pm on weekends. Appointments are required, and kids’ services are offered.
- Hidden Garden Kids Club: supervised sessions for ages 5 to 12 with themes, games, crafts and movies. Sessions cost extra and need reservations: at last check, a Friday and Saturday afternoon program was $65 per child and Kids’ Night Out $85 per child, plus a 20% service charge and tax. The Kids Conservatory is complimentary.
- Fitness: a 24-hour fitness center with cardio and strength equipment, plus daily classes such as yoga, dance fitness and HIIT.
- Wi-Fi: free for Bonvoy members; enhanced resort-wide internet is part of the resort fee.

Who JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek suits
This resort works best for families who want suite space close to Disney, especially the loft suites with bunk beds. It also suits couples and Marriott Bonvoy members who want a polished, newer resort with a spa and a serious steakhouse, and conference groups using its 50,000 sq ft of event space.

It suits you less if you are on a tight budget, want Early Entry for rope drop, or plan to spend most days at Universal. In those cases our best hotels near Disney World guide may point you to a better base.

Frequently asked questions
Does JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek get Disney Early Theme Park Entry?
Not at the time of writing. Disney’s official list of non-Disney hotels eligible for 30 minutes of Early Theme Park Entry includes the Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek and the Waldorf Astoria Orlando next door, but not the JW Marriott. Marriott does describe it as a Walt Disney World Gateway Hotel with a park shuttle. Check Disney’s Early Entry page before booking, because the list can change.
Does JW Marriott Bonnet Creek have a lazy river?
No. Marriott’s official pool listing does not include a lazy river or waterslide. The resort has two heated pools, one of them adults-only, plus a children’s pool, a whirlpool and bookable cabanas and daybeds. If a lazy river is a must, look at the Signia by Hilton next door, which has a lazy river and a waterslide, or another resort on our lazy river list.
How much is the resort fee at JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek?
At the time of writing, Marriott’s rooms page lists the resort fee at $55 per night, excluding tax. The fee covers the Disney park and Disney Springs shuttles, enhanced and in-room internet, mini garden golf and the Mount Chelonia rock wall. Marriott says the amount and inclusions can change, so confirm the current fee during booking and add it to the nightly rate.
Is there a shuttle from JW Marriott Bonnet Creek to Disney World?
Yes. Shuttle service to the Disney theme parks and to Disney Springs is included in the resort fee. Marriott’s page links to the resort’s online reservation site, which lists scheduled times and books seats. There is no listed shuttle to Universal Orlando or SeaWorld, and the hotel states that it does not run an airport shuttle.
Can you see Disney fireworks from JW Marriott Bonnet Creek?
Marriott says some rooms and suites look toward the nightly Disney fireworks and sells standard rooms as Partial Fireworks View and lists a full fireworks view only on certain suites, such as a one-bedroom suite with a balcony and the executive suites. Illume, the ninth-floor Japanese restaurant, and the rooftop terrace also face the shows. Book a Partial Fireworks View room or a fireworks-view suite if this matters, since standard rooms do not guarantee it.
How much is parking at JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek?
At last check, Marriott listed self-parking at $43 per day and valet at $59 per day. The garage has a 7-foot clearance and does not accept oversized vehicles or RVs. EV charging is available through valet for an extra fee. If you drive to the Disney parks, Disney’s standard theme park parking is a separate $35 per day.
Bottom line
JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek is one of the most polished non-Disney resorts beside Walt Disney World, with family loft suites, a Disney shuttle, a kids club and fireworks views. Budget for the resort fee and parking, and choose a Hilton neighbor instead if Early Theme Park Entry or a lazy river is essential.
