Orlando hotels with kids suites give your children their own themed room, bunk alcove or bunk bedroom inside one booking, so the adults keep a king bed and a door to close after bedtime. Universal Orlando has the most: six of its hotels sell kids’ suites, with themes from Jurassic World and the Minions to How to Train Your Dragon. Near Walt Disney World, the options are bunk-bed suites at a few non-Disney resorts.

We checked each room type below on the hotel’s or brand’s own website in October 2026: what the kids’ space is, who it sleeps and what you pay on top of the rate. The focus is a separate kids’ space, not just extra beds. If you mainly need beds for five, start with our guide to rooms that sleep 5 or 6 at Disney World and Universal. If you want a full apartment with a kitchen, compare 2- and 3-bedroom suites near Disney World.

Quick answer: For Universal, book the Jurassic World Kids’ Suite at Loews Royal Pacific Resort or the Future Rock Star Suite at Hard Rock Hotel, because both come with free Universal Express Unlimited. For Epic Universe, pick Helios Grand’s How to Train Your Dragon Kids’ Suite. Near Disney, JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek’s Family Loft Suite sleeps up to 7, and the Holiday Inn Resort Lake Buena Vista KidSuites are the simpler, lower-frills choice.

How we chose these kids suites

  • A real kids’ space: the official room page shows a separate kids’ room, a walled-off kids’ area or a bunk bedroom. A sofa bed or extra queen didn’t count.
  • Published details: the room type is sold today and its layout is described on an official website.
  • Getting to the parks: walking paths, water taxis, buses or shuttles from the hotel’s pages, plus OSRM road distances near Disney.
  • Extra costs: resort fees, parking and rollaway charges.

We don’t score hotels or quote room rates. Rates vary by season, availability and how far ahead you book.

Sizes and occupancy are from official pages at the time of writing; where two disagree, the hotel’s section says so.

1. Loews Royal Pacific Resort

The Jurassic World Kids’ Suite is one of the most fully themed kids’ rooms at Universal. The adults get a king bedroom, and the children sleep in their own attached Jurassic World room with two twin beds. Loews lists the suite at 670 square feet with a maximum of five guests. Universal’s page says the fifth guest sleeps on a rollaway, which costs $35 a night plus 12.5% tax at the time of writing.

Royal Pacific is one of three Universal hotels whose guests get Universal Express Unlimited, and the resort is built around a lagoon-style pool with a South Seas look. Our guide to Universal hotels with Express Pass explains when that perk is worth it.

  • Why stay: a dinosaur-themed kids’ room, free Express Unlimited at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure (not Epic Universe or Volcano Bay) and Early Park Admission.
  • Getting there / to the parks: a free water taxi to CityWalk, walking paths to both original parks and free Universal buses. Water taxis don’t go to Volcano Bay or Epic Universe.
  • Good to know: self-parking is $36 and valet $45 per night plus tax at last check. Pack ‘n Plays are free, and you must be 21 to book a Universal hotel room.

Best for: dinosaur fans and families spending two or more days at the two original Universal parks.

2. Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Orlando

Hard Rock’s Future Rock Star Suite is the largest single kids’ suite we found at Universal. Loews lists it at 800 square feet, with a king bedroom for the adults and an attached kids’ room with two twin beds, plus a sleeper sofa, for a maximum of five. Universal’s own page describes the fifth bed as a rollaway, so confirm the setup when you book. The kids’ room in the hotel’s photos has a starry ceiling and stage-style curtains.

Loews also sells a Club version of the suite, on the seventh-floor Club Level, with Rock Royalty Lounge access. Universal says the lounge serves a free continental breakfast and evening hors d’oeuvres.

  • Why stay: the most floor space of the Universal kids’ suites here, plus free Express Unlimited and Early Park Admission.
  • Getting there / to the parks: walking paths to CityWalk and the two original parks, plus free water taxis and shuttle buses.
  • Good to know: parking is $36 self or $45 valet per night plus tax at last check. Rollaways are $35 a night plus tax, and Pack ‘n Plays are free.

Best for: music-loving kids and families who want the most room in a Universal kids’ suite.

3. Loews Portofino Bay Hotel

Portofino Bay’s Despicable Me Kids’ Suite pairs a king bedroom with a Minion-themed room for the children. According to Universal, the kids’ room has two twin beds and opens only into the king room, not onto the hallway, a plus with younger children. Loews lists the suite at 650 to 675 square feet, with garden or bay views, and a maximum of five. As at Royal Pacific, Universal says the fifth guest needs a rollaway.

The rest of the hotel is calmer and more grown-up, built around an Italian harbor-village theme, with water taxis leaving from the bay.

  • Why stay: a Minion room the kids can only reach through your bedroom, free Express Unlimited and Early Park Admission.
  • Getting there / to the parks: a free water taxi to CityWalk, walking paths and free Universal buses.
  • Good to know: self-parking is $36 and valet $45 per night plus tax at last check. Rollaways cost $35 a night plus tax.

Best for: Minion fans and parents who want a quieter, more upscale base at Universal.

4. Universal Helios Grand Hotel

Helios Grand’s How to Train Your Dragon Kids’ Suite has a separate kids’ room with two twin beds, themed on the films that inspired Epic Universe’s Isle of Berk land. Loews lists 545 square feet, a king bed, the two twins and a sleeper sofa, for a maximum of five. A Theme Park View version faces Epic Universe. For bigger groups, a Kids’ Suite with a connecting 2-queen bedroom covers 870 square feet and sleeps up to 10.

  • Why stay: a dedicated hotel entrance into Epic Universe (park ticket required) and Early Park Admission.
  • Getting there / to the parks: walk into Epic Universe through the hotel entrance; free buses run to the CityWalk hub for the other parks and, on a separate route, to Volcano Bay.
  • Good to know: Express Unlimited is not included here. Self-parking is $36 and valet $45 plus tax per night at last check.

Best for: trips built around Epic Universe and kids who love Toothless.

5. Universal Aventura Hotel

Aventura is in Universal’s lower-priced Prime Value tier, and its Kids’ Suite is one of the more affordable ways to get a kids’ space on site. Universal describes a 575-square-foot room that sleeps five. It has an interior area with two twin beds for the kids, plus a separate area with a king bed and a couch that converts into a foam bed. A Skyline View version sits on the tower’s highest floors.

Don’t expect theming: the kids’ area is a simple nook rather than a second bedroom. The hotel has a pool with a kids’ splash zone.

  • Why stay: a separate kids’ sleeping area and Early Park Admission at a lower tier than the Loews resorts.
  • Getting there / to the parks: free buses to the CityWalk hub and walking paths to CityWalk, the parks and Volcano Bay. Universal lists Volcano Bay as closed for maintenance from October 26, 2026, reopening on or before April 1, 2027.
  • Good to know: no Express Unlimited. Self-parking is $30 per night plus tax at last check.

Best for: budget-minded Universal families of five who don’t need theming.

6. JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort & Spa

The Family Loft Suite is the roomiest kids’ setup in this guide. Marriott lists a two-bedroom suite of about 780 square feet: a king bedroom for the adults and a second bedroom with two double bunk beds, plus two sofa beds and two and a half bathrooms. Its maximum occupancy is 7. Marriott calls the beds “kid-friendly loft beds”, and the hotel’s photos show a loft bunk reached by wooden stairs above a lower bed.

The resort sits in the Bonnet Creek enclave beside Walt Disney World, with a Hidden Garden Kids Club for ages 5 to 12 (Marriott doesn’t list its fees or hours, so ask the resort).

  • Why stay: a real bunk bedroom for up to four kids in a luxury resort close to Disney.
  • Getting there / to the parks: the resort fee covers shuttles to the Disney parks and Disney Springs. By road, it’s about 4 miles to EPCOT’s parking entrance and Disney Springs, about 4.5 miles to Hollywood Studios and 6.5 miles to Magic Kingdom’s parking lot.
  • Good to know: the resort fee is $55 per night plus tax, and parking is $43 a day self or $59 valet at the time of writing. The hotel isn’t on Disney’s Early Theme Park Entry list.

Best for: families of six or seven who want Disney-area luxury and a proper kids’ bedroom.

7. Holiday Inn Resort Orlando – Lake Buena Vista

This Holiday Inn on State Road 535, about 2.5 miles by road from Disney Springs, still sells the classic KidSuite: a king bed for the parents and a separate area, behind a partial wall, with bunk beds and a TV for the kids. The one-bunk version is 381 square feet and the room page says it sleeps 4, while the hotel FAQ caps it at 5 guests, so confirm before you book a fifth person. The two-bunk version is 397 square feet and sleeps 6. Every room has a microwave and fridge.

The resort fee includes a children’s movie theater and a pool activities program, and the pool has a splash pad. Kids 11 and under eat free from the kids’ menu at the on-site restaurant under the hotel’s Kids Eat Free terms (its FAQ says 12 and under, so ask).

  • Why stay: bunk-bed KidSuites for up to six and one shuttle network for Disney, Universal and Epic Universe.
  • Getting there / to the parks: the schedule effective October 5, 2026 lists Disney departures at 8:00 and 10:10 am (EPCOT) and 11:25 am (Hollywood Studios), and one 7:00 am run to Universal Studios and Epic Universe (times change, so check at the front desk). Allow 30 to 40 minutes per trip; only umbrella strollers are allowed.
  • Good to know: the resort fee is $30 plus tax per night and parking is $20 a day at the time of writing. Breakfast isn’t included.

Best for: families with young kids who want a simple base for both Disney and Universal.

8. Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites – Waterpark

Here the kids get a separate bedroom. The resort’s 2 Bedroom King Family Suite has a king bedroom, a second bedroom with a bunk bed, a sofa bed and a living area with a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The 2 Bedroom Queen Family Suite swaps in a queen bed, and the 2 Bedroom Queen Suite has two twin beds in the second room. The 3 Bedroom King Family Suite (970 square feet) adds a second king bedroom and a kitchen.

The resort’s site shows 485 square feet for every one- and two-bedroom suite, while IHG lists 595 square feet for the two-bedroom suites. Neither shows occupancy, so check the limit for your suite type. The big draw is the on-site Surf & Splash Waterpark; our full Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites – Waterpark review covers the water park in detail.

  • Why stay: a bunk bedroom, a separate living area and a water park without leaving the hotel.
  • Getting there / to the parks: a scheduled Disney shuttle is part of the nightly fee (ask the front desk for times). By road, Hollywood Studios is about 4 miles, EPCOT’s parking entrance about 4.5, Animal Kingdom about 5.5 and Magic Kingdom’s lot about 7.5.
  • Good to know: the resort advertises a $54 nightly resort fee that covers water park access for six guests and the Disney shuttle. IHG lists guest parking at $31 a night plus tax, and check-out is at 10 am.

Best for: families who want pool days between park days and a bedroom just for the kids.

9. LEGOLAND Hotel at LEGOLAND Florida Resort

At the LEGOLAND Hotel in Winter Haven, every room is a kids’ suite. LEGOLAND says each room has a king bed in the adult sleeping area and a kids’ sleeping area with a bunk bed, a pull-out trundle and an entertainment unit, plus a welcome treasure hunt with a LEGO gift on arrival day. There are seven room themes, including Pirate, Kingdom, NINJAGO and LEGO Friends, and rooms sleep up to five. The DUPLO rooms are designed for ages 18 months to 5 years.

It’s not an Orlando hotel in the strict sense: by road it’s about 38 miles from EPCOT and Disney Springs (roughly an hour) and about 44 miles from Universal. Use it for a night or two around a LEGOLAND day; our guide to hotels near LEGOLAND Florida compares the on-site and nearby options.

  • Why stay: a whole hotel built around kids, steps from the LEGOLAND park entrance.
  • Getting there / to the parks: walk to LEGOLAND. Early Park Access covers select areas, such as SEA LIFE Florida and the LEGO Shop, rather than the whole park.
  • Good to know: the resort fee is $35 plus tax per night, and self-parking is $33 plus tax per night (valet is included with suites) at the time of writing. Booking.com’s single LEGOLAND Florida Resort listing also sells Pirate Island Hotel and Beach Retreat rooms, so pick a room labeled LEGOLAND Hotel.

Best for: LEGO-loving younger kids on a LEGOLAND add-on to an Orlando trip.

Other kids’ suites and family layouts worth a look

  • Loews Sapphire Falls Resort: a Kids’ Suite of 529 square feet with a king bedroom and a nautical-themed kids’ room with two twin beds (maximum five), or a Kids’ Suite plus a 2-queen bedroom (850 square feet, up to 10). No Express Unlimited. See Sapphire Falls rates on Booking.com.
  • Universal Endless Summer Resort: Dockside Inn and Suites and Surfside Inn and Suites both have 440-square-foot 2-Bedroom Suites that sleep six. At Dockside, one room has two queens and the other one queen, so it’s a second bedroom rather than a kids’ room.
  • Universal Cabana Bay Beach Resort: 430-square-foot Family Suites sleep six with two queens and a pull-out sofa, split by a sliding privacy partition rather than a wall. Compare Cabana Bay rates.
  • Orlando World Center Marriott: Marriott lists a 1 Bunk Bed Suite of about 1,200 square feet with two balconies and a maximum of five, but its bedding list shows only a king and a sofa bed, so ask where the bunks are before you book. Check World Center Marriott dates.

How to choose a kids suite in Orlando

  • Count heads first. Standard Universal kids’ suites top out at five, and at Royal Pacific, Portofino Bay and Sapphire Falls the fifth guest goes on a paid rollaway. For six or seven, look at JW Marriott’s Family Loft Suite, the two-bunk KidSuite at Holiday Inn Lake Buena Vista, or a Helios Grand or Sapphire Falls Kids’ Suite with a 2-queen bedroom.
  • Match the beds to ages. Twin beds in a separate room suit school-age kids. Top bunks are a poor fit for toddlers, and Universal hotels lend Pack ‘n Plays (cribs at Aventura) for free. Our tips for Orlando with toddlers cover naps, strollers and cribs.
  • Follow your park plan. For three or more Universal days, Express Unlimited at Royal Pacific, Hard Rock or Portofino Bay can matter more than the theme. For Epic Universe, Helios Grand wins on access. For Disney, pick JW Marriott or a Holiday Inn. Our guide to hotels near Universal Studios Orlando compares every on-site tier.
  • Add up the extras. Universal’s hotel pages list parking but no resort fee, while the Disney-area picks here charge resort fees of $30 to $55 a night plus parking. LEGOLAND charges both.
  • Book early. Kids’ suites are a small share of rooms (Loews lists 650 guest rooms and just 29 suites at Hard Rock), so reserve well ahead of school holidays.

Frequently asked questions

Which Orlando hotels have kids suites?

Six Universal Orlando hotels sell kids’ suites: Loews Royal Pacific Resort, Hard Rock Hotel, Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, Loews Sapphire Falls Resort, Universal Helios Grand Hotel and Universal Aventura Hotel. Near Disney World, JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek has bunk-bed Family Loft Suites, and Holiday Inn Resort Orlando – Lake Buena Vista and Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites – Waterpark have bunk-bed suites. The LEGOLAND Hotel in Winter Haven gives every room a kids’ area.

How many people can sleep in a Universal kids suite?

A standard Universal kids’ suite sleeps five at most: two twins in the kids’ room and a king for the adults, with the fifth guest on a sofa bed or rollaway. Loews lists a sleeper sofa at Hard Rock and Helios Grand (Universal’s Hard Rock page says rollaway); Royal Pacific, Portofino Bay and Sapphire Falls use a $35-a-night rollaway plus tax. Versions with an added 2-queen bedroom at Helios Grand and Sapphire Falls sleep up to 10.

Which hotels near Disney World have bunk beds?

In this guide, three Disney-area hotels have bunk beds. JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek has Family Loft Suites with two double bunks for up to 7, and Holiday Inn Resort Orlando – Lake Buena Vista has KidSuites with one or two sets of bunks. Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites – Waterpark has family suites with a bunk bedroom. None of them is on Disney’s Early Theme Park Entry list.

Do Universal kids suites come with Express Pass?

Only at three hotels. Guests at Loews Royal Pacific Resort, Hard Rock Hotel and Loews Portofino Bay Hotel get free Universal Express Unlimited at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, but not at Epic Universe or Volcano Bay. Kids’ suites at Sapphire Falls, Helios Grand and Aventura include Early Park Admission but no Express Unlimited.

Is a kids suite or a two-bedroom suite better for a family?

A kids’ suite is better if your children are young and you want them in their own themed room near you, often with a door between you. A two-bedroom suite is better for older kids, groups of six or more, or anyone who wants a kitchen and a second bathroom. For five people on a budget, a standard room that sleeps five may be enough.

Bottom line

For the classic kids’ suite experience, Universal is the place: Royal Pacific and Hard Rock add Express Unlimited, Helios Grand puts you at Epic Universe’s door, and Aventura is the cheaper way in. Near Disney, JW Marriott Bonnet Creek’s loft suites fit bigger families, and the Holiday Inn KidSuites keep costs down. For more ideas, see our best family-friendly hotels in Orlando.
