The best Orlando hotels with lazy rivers are spread across every major area: Bonnet Creek and Lake Buena Vista for Disney, International Drive and Universal for the Universal parks, and Kissimmee, Winter Garden and ChampionsGate for bigger resort campuses. Some rivers are short loops around a pool, while others run more than 1,000 feet and come with slides, splash pads and cabanas.

We built this list only from what the hotels state on their official pages: river length when one is published, whether tubes are free or rented, what the resort fee covers and how you get to the parks. Fees and hours change often, so treat every number as “at the time of writing” and confirm before you book.

Looking for full water parks with big slide towers? See our companion guide to the best Orlando hotels with water parks and waterslides. This one is for families who mainly want a long, easy float.

Quick answer: For Disney, book Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek or the Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace, since both add Disney’s Early Theme Park Entry. For Universal and I-Drive, the Hilton Orlando has an 892-foot river with free tubes. The longest published rivers belong to JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes (a quarter mile) and Orange Lake Resort (1,200 feet).

How we chose these Orlando hotels with lazy rivers

Every hotel here has a lazy river listed on its own website or brand page at the time of writing. We left out resorts whose official amenity lists show pools but no lazy river, even when blogs say otherwise. JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek and Caribe Royale both fell out for that reason.

  • Verified water features: lazy river length, tube policy and slide height rules only where the hotel publishes them.
  • Location: a spread of Disney, Universal and quieter resort areas, with the hotel’s own park transportation.
  • Value: what the resort fee includes (some cover tubes, parking or water park entry) and what you still pay for.
  • No scores: we don’t rank by review ratings. The order runs roughly from Disney-area hotels to Universal and then to the outer resort areas.

1. Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek

Aerial view of the winding lazy river and pools at Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek

Signia is the classic Disney-area lazy river hotel. Hilton’s 2021 announcement of the Signia rebrand describes “a three-acre lazy river”. It also has a zero-entry pool, a waterslide and private cabanas. Kids can float laps while toddlers stay in the beach-depth shallows.

The daily resort charge covers up to four lazy river tubes per room, handed out first come, first served, so get to the pool early on busy days. Guests at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando next door are pointed to the same pool, lazy river and slide on the Waldorf’s own website.

  • Why stay: a big lazy river next to Disney, plus Disney’s 30-minute Early Theme Park Entry. Signia is on Disney’s list of participating non-Disney hotels at the time of writing.
  • Getting there / to the parks: a private motorcoach runs to the four Disney theme parks and Disney Springs during regular park hours, and it is included in the resort charge.
  • Good to know: at the time of writing the resort charge is $50 plus tax per night, self-parking is $40 and valet is $60 per day, plus tax. The slide requires a height of 40 inches, and riders between 40 and 48 inches must wear a life jacket.

Best for: Disney families who want a resort pool day between park days and a hotel shuttle instead of driving. Our full Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek review covers rooms, dining and fees in detail.

2. Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace Disney Springs Area

Pool deck with cabanas and palm trees below the tower of Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace

The Buena Vista Palace calls its version a Float Lagoon. It has beach-style entry and complimentary floats, and it spirals between the Tower and the Island Building. The hotel’s page calls it a “Lazy River Lagoon” but gives no length, so don’t expect a long river. It sits next to heated pools that the hotel keeps between 82 and 85 degrees.

The bigger draw is location. The hotel puts the average walk to Disney Springs at 5 to 7 minutes, and it is one of the non-Disney hotels whose guests get Disney’s 30-minute Early Theme Park Entry at all four parks.

  • Why stay: a lazy-river-style float, Early Entry and a short walk to Disney Springs restaurants and shops.
  • Getting there / to the parks: an hourly shuttle runs to all four Disney theme parks. You must reserve both departure and return, and bookings open up to 72 hours ahead.
  • Good to know: at the time of writing the resort fee is $41 plus tax per night and includes Float Lagoon access and the Disney shuttle. Self-parking is $38 and valet $48 per night, plus tax.

Best for: families who want Disney perks and evenings at Disney Springs more than a full water park.

3. Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort

Lawn games, loungers and a pool area at Four Seasons Resort Orlando

The Four Seasons builds its lazy river into Explorer Island, a 5-acre water area inside the gates of Walt Disney World. The resort says its river is “not your average lazy river”. It has two spray cannons, a cascading 9-foot waterfall and a bubbling rapids section. Around it you’ll find a family pool, a splash zone, The Drop (two 242-foot slides with a 42-inch minimum height) and an adults-only pool called The Oasis.

The resort says its pools, Explorer Island and the Kids for All Seasons program are reserved for registered resort guests, so you won’t share the river with day-pass visitors.

  • Why stay: the most upscale lazy river setting on this list, Early Theme Park Entry (Four Seasons is on Disney’s list) and a supervised kids’ program.
  • Getting there / to the parks: complimentary scheduled buses run to all four Disney theme parks, about once an hour to each park according to the resort.
  • Good to know: parking is valet only, for a fee, and self-parking isn’t offered. Confirm the nightly resort fee and valet rate when you book.

Best for: families who want a high-end resort day with a lazy river, slides and kids’ club in one place. See our Four Seasons Resort Orlando guide for rooms and fees.

4. Orlando World Center Marriott

Aerial view of the lagoon pool, waterslides and pool deck at Orlando World Center Marriott

The World Center Marriott’s River Falls Waterpark combines a 575-foot lazy river with a slide tower. You wade in through a zero-entry pool with bubbling nozzles and spraying leaf features, and inner tubes are available at the entrance. The newest tower has three inner-tube slides for up to two riders, the longest at 525 feet. The broader pool complex lists seven waterslides, a 400,000-gallon lagoon pool and a kids’ splash zone.

  • Why stay: a lazy river and real thrill slides in one complex, a short drive from the Disney parks.
  • Getting there / to the parks: scheduled shuttles to all four Disney parks and Disney Springs are included in the resort fee. Marriott says you can reserve up to 3 days ahead with your confirmation number.
  • Good to know: the six big waterslides require riders to be at least 48 inches tall, and the Kids’ Splash Zone has its own small slide. At the time of writing, the resort fee is $47 plus tax per night and covers River Falls entry, the Disney parks shuttle and a nightly Disney Springs shuttle, each for up to four guests. Self-parking is $40 and valet $61 per day, plus tax.

Best for: families with older kids who want slides as much as a float. Read our Orlando World Center Marriott review for the full picture.

5. Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Orange Lake Resort

Long winding lazy river and pools at Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Orange Lake Resort

Orange Lake is a 1,100-acre villa resort west of Disney, and its River Island complex has one of the area’s longest lazy rivers. The resort lists 1,200 feet of river connecting to a pool at each end. River Island also has a zero-entry pool, two hot tubs and waterslides with a 48-inch minimum height. The complex is open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., with shorter hours for the slides.

Floating is included, but tubes aren’t. The resort rents them all day for $9 at Island Traders or Island Golf, at the time of writing. There are four pool areas in total, plus golf and an internal resort shuttle with 22 stops.

  • Why stay: a very long river, villas with space to spread out and parking included in the resort fee.
  • Getting there / to the parks: the resort lists Walt Disney World 3.1 miles away, but by road it’s about 5 miles to Animal Kingdom and 10 to Magic Kingdom parking. Plan on driving; the resort’s shuttle is an internal one.
  • Good to know: the resort fee is $45 per night and covers Wi-Fi, parking (two vehicles maximum), lazy river access and the waterslides, at the time of writing.

Best for: big families and multigenerational groups with a car who want a villa and a long river.

6. Hilton Orlando

Turquoise resort pool with planters and palm trees in front of the Hilton Orlando

The Hilton Orlando on Destination Parkway is the best lazy river pick between Universal, SeaWorld and the I-Drive area. Its 892-foot river is described as winding and gently meandering, and the hotel provides complimentary tubes. The pool complex also has a waterslide (48-inch minimum, limited daily schedule), a splash pad, rentable cabanas and an adults-only pool for guests 18 and older.

  • Why stay: a long lazy river with free tubes and shuttles to both Disney and Universal.
  • Getting there / to the parks: scheduled shuttles to Magic Kingdom and EPCOT need advance reservations and are included in the resort charge. The free Universal shuttle is booked in person at the lobby’s Universal Vacation Planning Desk. Two daily I-Ride Trolley passes are also included.
  • Good to know: at the time of writing the resort charge is $47 plus tax per night and covers in-room Wi-Fi, the Disney shuttle, the trolley passes and recreation equipment. Self-parking is $38 and valet $50 per night, plus tax.

Best for: families splitting time between Universal and Disney who want one base with a strong pool.

7. Universal Cabana Bay Beach Resort

Lazy river flowing past a rock waterfall at Universal Cabana Bay Beach Resort

Cabana Bay is the only Universal Orlando hotel on this list. It has two large pools with sand beaches. The Cabana Pool has the dive-tower slide, and the Lazy River Courtyard has a second pool with a lazy river, The Hideaway Bar & Grille and two fire pits. Tubes for the lazy river are sold, not lent, so budget for them.

  • Why stay: a lazy river at a value-priced Universal hotel, with family suites and a 10-lane bowling alley.
  • Getting there / to the parks: walking paths lead to Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure and CityWalk, and free shuttle buses run too. Early Park Admission covers Universal Epic Universe, per Loews.
  • Good to know: self-parking is $26 plus tax per vehicle per night at the time of writing. Universal Volcano Bay closes for the season on October 26, 2026 and is expected to reopen on or before April 1, 2027, and its walking path from the hotel is closed during that time, so the hotel’s own lazy river matters more this winter.

Best for: Universal-focused families on a budget. Our Universal Cabana Bay Beach Resort guide explains the suites and perks.

8. JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes

Lazy river beside a private cabana and tropical plants at JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes

Grande Lakes has the longest lazy river we could verify from an official source. The resort describes “a quarter-mile journey” of 670,000 gallons through the middle of its water park, with jets, waterfalls and bridges linking pools and coves. The river sits at the JW Marriott pool, open 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the time of writing. The Headwaters Slide Tower adds three heated slides with 40-, 42- and 48-inch minimum heights.

The campus is shared with The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes. If you want the lazy river right outside your door, book the JW side.

  • Why stay: a resort-scale river, heated slides and a setting away from the I-Drive crowds.
  • Getting there / to the parks: shuttles to SeaWorld, Walt Disney World and Universal are included in the resort fee, with 24-hour advance reservations. The resort puts Epic Universe 2.3 miles away in a straight line; by road it’s roughly 4 to 5 miles.
  • Good to know: the resort fee is $55 plus tax per night and includes two pool floats for the JW lazy river pool, at the time of writing. Valet is $58 plus tax, and self-parking ($42 plus tax) is only available at the JW Marriott.

The Grove’s Surfari Water Park has a 695-foot lazy river, dual water slides, a kids’ activity pool, a zero-entry pool and a FlowRider Double Surf Simulator. Entry is included for registered guests: you show your room key or wristband. The zero-entry pool at Surfari is kept at 83 degrees year-round, per the resort’s FAQ.

Main entrance and tower of Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate with palm trees and gardens

The Omni at ChampionsGate pairs an 850-foot tube-float lazy river with tunnels and gentle rapids, a wave pool, a zero-entry family pool, a kids’ pool with slides and an adults-only pool. Add two championship golf courses, mini golf and a spa, and it works as a true resort stay rather than just a place to sleep near the parks.

  • Why stay: a wave pool and lazy river together, with an adults-only pool for parents who need a break.
  • Getting there / to the parks: the resort says it is 12 miles from Disney World and 21 miles from Universal. Complimentary scheduled shuttles go to EPCOT and Magic Kingdom, with 6 departures and 4 to 5 returns daily, and the resort suggests reserving 24 hours ahead.

How to choose a lazy river hotel in Orlando

Start with the parks you’ll visit

If Disney is the priority, Signia, the Buena Vista Palace and the Four Seasons give you Early Theme Park Entry plus a hotel shuttle. For Universal, Cabana Bay lets you walk to the parks, and the Hilton Orlando and Grande Lakes have shuttles that cover both resorts. Orange Lake, The Grove and the Omni work best with a car.

Check who pays for tubes

Tube policies vary more than you might expect. The Hilton Orlando and Buena Vista Palace provide them free, Signia and Grande Lakes include a set number in the resort fee, The Grove covers them in its resort fee, and Orange Lake and Cabana Bay charge for them. For a family of five, that can add up over a week.

Add the resort fee and parking to the nightly rate

Where a figure is published, resort fees on this list run $41 to $55 per night at the time of writing, and parking can add $26 to $61 more. Sometimes the fee covers things you’d use anyway, like park shuttles, water park entry or parking. If fees are a deal-breaker, look at our list of family-friendly hotels in Orlando for every budget.

Think about the season and the weather

Afternoon thunderstorms are common in summer, and outdoor pools close for lightning. Hotels also adjust slide and water park hours by season, so check the daily schedule on arrival. In cooler months, a hotel that publishes heated pool temperatures, like The Grove or the Buena Vista Palace, is a safer bet.

Frequently asked questions

Which Orlando hotel has the longest lazy river?

Among hotels that publish a figure, JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes describes its lazy river as a quarter-mile journey, roughly 1,300 feet. Orange Lake Resort lists 1,200 feet, the Hilton Orlando 892 feet and the Omni at ChampionsGate 850 feet. Hilton describes Signia’s as a three-acre lazy river, an area rather than a length, so a direct comparison isn’t possible.

Which hotels near Disney World have a lazy river?

Near Disney, the main options are Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek, the Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace (its Float Lagoon), the Four Seasons Resort Orlando, the Orlando World Center Marriott and Orange Lake Resort. Signia, the Buena Vista Palace and the Four Seasons also offer Disney’s Early Theme Park Entry at the time of writing.

Is there a hotel with a lazy river near Universal Studios?

Yes. Universal Cabana Bay Beach Resort has a lazy river in its Lazy River Courtyard, and you can walk to Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure from it. Nearby, the Hilton Orlando has an 892-foot river and a free Universal shuttle. JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes is roughly 4 to 5 miles by road from Epic Universe.

Can non-guests use hotel lazy rivers in Orlando?

It depends on the hotel. The Four Seasons reserves Explorer Island and its pools for registered guests. The Grove sells daily wristbands for Surfari Water Park to visitors who aren’t staying overnight. Policies differ at other resorts, so check the hotel’s own rules before you plan a visit.

Are lazy river tubes free at Orlando hotels?

Not always. The Hilton Orlando provides complimentary tubes, and the Buena Vista Palace offers complimentary floats. Signia includes up to four tubes per room in its resort charge, Grande Lakes includes two floats and The Grove covers tubes in its resort fee. Orange Lake rents tubes for $9 a day, and Cabana Bay sells them, at the time of writing.

Bottom line

For Disney trips, Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek is the strongest all-round lazy river hotel, and the Buena Vista Palace wins on walkability. For Universal, pick Cabana Bay on a budget or the Hilton Orlando for free tubes and shuttles to both resorts. If you want the longest river, choose Grande Lakes or Orange Lake.
