The Walt Disney World Swan Reserve is the newest and smallest of the three Marriott-run hotels in Disney’s EPCOT Resort Area: a 14-story glass tower with 349 rooms, 149 of them suites, across Epcot Resorts Boulevard from the Swan. You can walk to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios and get Early Theme Park Entry, Extended Evening Hours and the 7-day Lightning Lane window.

It opened in 2021 in Marriott’s Autograph Collection, designed by Gensler around the late Michael Graves’ water theme, and its guests can use the Swan and Dolphin’s pools, beach and restaurants. Fees come from the resort’s and Disney’s pages at the time of writing; room rates vary by season, availability and how far ahead you book.

Quick answer: Book the Swan Reserve for the newest rooms, a suite or a smaller base with its own pool, if you accept a walk of about 0.9 mile to EPCOT’s International Gateway, roughly 0.2 mile more than from the Swan. Budget the mandatory $50-plus-tax daily package and, if you drive, $40-plus-tax self-parking. Every room type is listed for two adults and two children, so a family of five should look at the Dolphin.

Location: across the street from the Swan

The Reserve stands on the south side of Epcot Resorts Boulevard, opposite the Swan. Disney calls EPCOT and Hollywood Studios “within walking distance” without giving distances, so we routed them. From the hotel it is about 0.9 mile, or 19 minutes, to International Gateway, EPCOT’s World Showcase entrance, crossing the boulevard and following the Crescent Lake shore past Disney’s Yacht Club and Beach Club. Hollywood Studios’ ticket booths are about 1.1 miles, or 24 minutes, the other way.

Distances are rounded OSRM routes. Compared with the Swan, you add about 0.2 mile each way to EPCOT and almost nothing to Hollywood Studios. Our guide to hotels near EPCOT compares the walkable and shuttle options around the park.

Rooms and suites: 330 square feet and up

The hotel’s photos show floor-to-ceiling windows, wood-slat headboard walls and, in many rooms, large swimmer paintings. The Traditional Room page lists a glass-enclosed shower with a rain head and hand-held wand (a tub combination on request), a mini refrigerator, a single-serve coffee maker, a safe and a 49-inch to 65-inch TV with streaming apps; all rooms are non-smoking. The Swan and Dolphin advertise the Westin Heavenly Bed, while the Reserve describes its own “luxurious and high-quality bedding”.

Room typeSizeBedsBooking
Traditional Room330 sq ft2 queens, or 1 king plus sofa bedStandard
Junior Suite425 to 590 sq ft1 king plus sofa bedStandard
Signature Suite610 sq ft2 queens, or 1 king plus sofa bedStandard

Presidential Suite1,225 sq ft1 king; full kitchen, in-room JacuzziBy phone only

Every Swan Reserve room page lists two adults and two children, and the reservations FAQ charges $35 plus tax a night for a third or fourth adult. Disney’s hotel page, however, calls the rooms and suites “perfect for families of 6 to 10”, and the resort’s own media copy says “families of 6 to 8”. Treat the room pages as the rule and confirm before booking for more than four. Each page also notes that room location is assigned on availability across the three hotels, so check that your confirmation names the Swan Reserve.

Pools and recreation

The Reserve’s own pool sits on an elevated deck with a fire pit, open 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. on the resort’s weekly hours page at last check, with Tangerine serving it from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Disney adds that Reserve guests get “full access to all amenities” of the Swan and Dolphin, whose pools page lists six pools (the Grotto pool with waterfalls and a slide, two lap pools, a Spring pool, a Relaxation pool and a kiddie pool) plus four whirlpools. Those pools open at 6 a.m. and the slide runs 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The white-sand beach adds volleyball, a playground, swan paddle boats and nightly movies with s’mores, the last two covered by the package.

Dining and breakfast at the Swan Reserve

Breakfast is not part of the resort package. Amare, the Reserve’s Mediterranean signature restaurant, serves breakfast 7 to 11 a.m. (its menus include a breakfast buffet), lunch 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and dinner 5 to 11 p.m., built around seafood, pasta and pitas, with wine flights and a kids menu. Diners get two hours of free Camp Dolphin childcare for children aged 5 to 12; a dress code applies.

Grounds, the cafe and market, opens at 6 a.m. for espresso drinks, pastries, breakfast sandwiches and Mickey waffles, then sandwiches and salads until 9 p.m. (10 p.m. Friday and Saturday). Stir, the lobby bar, pours cocktails with light bites from 3:30 p.m., and Tangerine does flatbreads, burgers and frozen drinks by the pool.

The resort counts 23 restaurants and lounges across its three hotels, and its dining FAQ allows cross-charging between the resort’s wings, so dinner at the Swan’s Il Mulino or the Dolphin’s Bourbon Steak should go on your room. In-room dining runs 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to midnight through the resort’s app. Disney dining cannot be charged to the room, and Disney sells its Dining Plan only in packages that include a stay at a Disney Resort hotel, which the Reserve is not.

Parking, the resort fee and other charges

The resort’s FAQs list one set of charges for the whole complex; Disney’s parking page names the Swan Reserve for the parking rates.

ChargeAmountNotes
Resort service package$50 + tax a dayMandatory; benefits for two guests
Self-parking$40 + tax a dayNot covered by the package
Valet parking$51 to $61 + tax a dayPriced on availability
Theme-park parkingIncludedStandard lots; Disney charges others $35
Extra adult$35 + tax a nightThird and fourth adult

The package covers in-room Wi-Fi, daily swan paddle-boat rentals, fitness classes, nightly beach movies with s’mores, a Lagoon Games, Lanes & Eats game credit and $30 off spa services of $230 or more; loyalty members on eligible stays also get faster Wi-Fi and the spa’s Balinese relaxation areas. Together that is $90 a day before tax. Orange County’s hotel tax was 12.5% at last check, and our guide to Orlando resort fees explains where Booking.com shows such charges.

The resort’s FAQ still quotes standard park parking at $30; Disney’s page shows $35. Check-in is at 4 p.m. and check-out at 11 a.m., and leaving early costs one night’s room and tax, so tell the front desk about any change by midnight on arrival day. Pets are not allowed apart from service animals.

Getting to the parks: walkways, boats and buses

Buses leave from the Reserve’s own entrance about every 20 to 25 minutes for Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and Disney Springs, per the transportation FAQ (the weekly hours page says 20 to 30), until 45 minutes after park close and up to 90 minutes after Disney Springs closes. Magic Kingdom buses stop at the Transportation and Ticket Center, so add the monorail or ferry.

For boats, walk about five minutes across the street to the dock by the covered walkway between the Swan and Dolphin. FriendShip water taxis run about every 20 to 25 minutes to EPCOT, Hollywood Studios and the BoardWalk from an hour before the parks open, but not in bad weather. The nearest Skyliner station is at International Gateway, linking to Disney’s Riviera, Caribbean Beach, Pop Century and Art of Animation resorts; the Skyliner closes for refurbishment January 24 to 30, 2027. Our guide to hotels near Hollywood Studios compares the walk, the boat and the Skyliner.

From the airport, the resort points to Mears Connect, which serves the Swan Reserve from $16 per adult and $13 per child aged 3 to 9 one way ($17.60 and $14.30 from the airport, including its fee recovery charge), plus a 6% fuel surcharge at the time of writing.

Disney perks: Early Entry, Extended Evening Hours and Lightning Lane

Disney’s Early Theme Park Entry page names the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve among 15 “other select hotels” whose guests enter all four theme parks 30 minutes early every day of their stay, including check-in and check-out days, through 2027. Our list of non-Disney hotels with Early Theme Park Entry compares them.

Extended Evening Hours on select nights are open to only four non-Disney hotels: the Swan, Dolphin, Swan Reserve and Shades of Green. Disney’s Lightning Lane page gives the same four the resort-guest window, buying from 7 days before your stay for up to 14 days, against 3 days for everyone else. Early Entry and evening hours need valid admission and a MagicBand, MagicMobile pass or Key to the World card.

If you book through Booking.com, link the confirmation in My Disney Experience; the resort warns that the adults and children on the reservation must match the party in the app. Marriott Bonvoy member rates and points apply to stays booked through Marriott, so a Booking.com stay will not normally earn them.

Amenities: fitness center, spa, kids club and Wi-Fi

The hotel says each floor has its own tropical murals. The Reserve Health Club on the second floor is open 24 hours with your room key for guests 16 and up, included in the package, and the Swan and Dolphin have two more. Wi-Fi comes with the package.

Mandara Spa, at the Dolphin, opens 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Camp Dolphin, the evening kids club in the Dolphin, takes potty-trained children aged 5 to 12 by the resort’s FAQ (Disney says 4 to 12): $120 for the 3 to 10 p.m. session with dinner or $60 for two hours, by reservation, though the weekly hours page lists 4 to 11 p.m. Accessible rooms exist in all three hotels, with roll-in showers or ADA bathtubs.

Views: pool deck, EPCOT or Hollywood Studios

Signature, Chairman and Presidential suites can add a pool deck, EPCOT or Hollywood Studios view for an extra charge; the Junior Suite page lists pool deck and Hollywood Studios views, while its description mentions EPCOT. The Traditional Room page lists no view categories and no balcony (only the Chairman and Presidential suite photos show outdoor space), and the hotel’s own photos show king rooms looking at the Dolphin’s pyramid. The rooftop event space, which the resort says overlooks two Disney fireworks shows, is for private events only.

Who the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve suits

Couples and families of four who want a modern room near EPCOT and Hollywood Studios come first, then suite seekers. Bonvoy members booking direct also do well, and the Reserve features in our ranking of luxury resorts in Orlando. It suits families of five and balcony lovers less.

Pros

  • Newest building of the three, with floor-to-ceiling windows.
  • 149 suites from 425 square feet; only the two largest types are phone-only.
  • Walk to EPCOT in about 19 minutes and Hollywood Studios in about 24.
  • Early Entry, Extended Evening Hours, the 7-day Lightning Lane window and free park parking.
  • Its own pool and fire pit, plus the six Swan and Dolphin pools and beach.

Limitations to know

  • The package and self-parking add $90 a day before tax for a driving family.
  • Every room is listed for two adults and two children; extra adults cost $35 plus tax.
  • No boat dock or Skyliner at the building.
  • No Disney Dining Plan or Disney dining charged to the room; Bonvoy perks need a direct booking.
  • No balconies listed for standard rooms, and views are not guaranteed.

What to check before you book

  1. The current package and parking amounts on the resort’s FAQs.
  2. Occupancy and bedding for more than four, given the conflicting official wording.
  3. That your confirmation names the Swan Reserve.
  4. Amare, Tangerine and pool hours for your dates in the resort’s app.
  5. Extended Evening Hours nights on Disney’s calendar and your party size in My Disney Experience.

Nearby alternatives

The sister hotels come first: the Walt Disney World Swan for the shortest walk and a balcony, or the Walt Disney World Dolphin for rooms that sleep five and the spa and kids club under one roof. Compare rates for the Walt Disney World Swan or see available rooms at the Walt Disney World Dolphin.

Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, Yacht Club and Beach Club across the lake are booked through Disney, not Booking.com. For more options, see our guides to Marriott hotels near Disney World and the best hotels near Disney World.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve a Disney hotel?

Not a Disney-run one. It is a Marriott Autograph Collection hotel managed by Marriott International on Disney property in the EPCOT Resort Area. Disney lists it as a Deluxe Resort among its “other select hotels” and gives guests Early Theme Park Entry, Extended Evening Hours and the 7-day Lightning Lane window, but not the Disney Dining Plan.

Does the Swan Reserve have a resort fee?

Yes. The resort’s FAQ lists a mandatory resort service package of $50 plus tax a day for the whole complex at the time of writing, without naming the Reserve separately. It covers Wi-Fi, swan paddle-boat rentals, fitness classes, beach movies with s’mores, a game credit and a spa discount for two guests. Self-parking is a separate $40 plus tax a day.

Can you walk to EPCOT from the Swan Reserve?

Yes. By our routing it is about 0.9 mile, roughly 19 minutes, from the hotel to EPCOT’s International Gateway, crossing Epcot Resorts Boulevard and following the Crescent Lake walkway past the Yacht Club and Beach Club. Hollywood Studios is about 1.1 miles the other way, and FriendShip boats leave from the Swan and Dolphin dock in good weather.

Do Swan Reserve guests get Early Theme Park Entry?

Yes. Disney’s Early Theme Park Entry page lists the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve among the select non-Disney hotels whose guests enter all four theme parks 30 minutes early every day of their stay, including check-in and check-out days, through 2027. You need valid park admission and a MagicBand, MagicMobile pass or Key to the World card.

What is the difference between the Swan and the Swan Reserve?

The Swan has 756 rooms over 12 stories, Heavenly Beds and optional balconies, and sits beside the boat dock. The Reserve, opened in 2021 across the street, has 349 rooms, 149 of them suites, its own pool and four venues, and adds about 0.2 mile to the EPCOT walk. Fees, perks and buses match; our Swan vs Dolphin vs Swan Reserve comparison adds the Dolphin.

Can Swan Reserve guests use the Swan and Dolphin pools?

Yes. Disney’s hotel page says Reserve guests get full access to all amenities of the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort, including its pools and private beach. That means the Grotto pool and slide, the lap pools, the kiddie pool and four whirlpools, on top of the Reserve’s own pool deck with a fire pit.

Bottom line

The Walt Disney World Swan Reserve pairs the top Disney perks for outside hotels and a walkable location with the newest rooms and the most suites of the three Swan and Dolphin hotels. Budget the $50 package and $40 parking (plus tax), plan on four guests per room and accept a slightly longer walk. Check your dates for the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve on Booking.com.
