Orlando hotels with rooftop pools are rarer than you might expect. The big resorts near Disney and Universal spread their pools across the grounds, so the true rooftop swims cluster downtown, in Winter Park, in Lake Nona, inside the airport and along International Drive.
This guide covers nine hotels whose own websites, brand pages or the airport describe a rooftop or sky-deck pool. For each you get who can actually swim, parking and fees from official pages, and road distances to the parks. Details change, so confirm with the hotel before you book.
Quick answer: For the most polished rooftop pool, book Hotel Beauden (the former Grand Bohemian) in downtown Orlando. For Universal, Cambria Hotel Orlando Universal Blvd has a rooftop pool and bar about 1.4 miles by road from CityWalk. For style near the airport, pick Lake Nona Wave Hotel, and for a swim between flights, the Hyatt Regency inside Orlando International Airport. Three of these hotels require the person checking in to be 21, and Ramada Plaza’s rooftop is reserved for Club Level suites.

How we chose these Orlando hotels with rooftop pools
- Rooftop in the hotel’s own words: the official site, brand page or airport page calls the pool rooftop or sky-deck. Rooftop bars are covered separately at the end.
- Real access: we checked room-type limits and minimum check-in ages.
- Location: road distances from OSRM to Universal’s CityWalk area, EPCOT, Magic Kingdom’s parking and the airport, in light traffic.
- Costs: resort fees and parking from official pages, with the capture date when we had to use an archived copy.
- No scores: we didn’t stay at these hotels, and we don’t rank by ratings or quote room prices.

1. Hotel Beauden, Autograph Collection

This tower at 325 South Orange Avenue was the Grand Bohemian Orlando until its rename to Hotel Beauden, announced in early September 2026; it remains an Autograph Collection hotel. Its Altira Pool + Lounge sits “high above the city streets,” in the hotel’s words, with greenery and intimate lounge seating, and Marriott’s page described rooftop dining and a pool with city views and bottle service.
Marriott listed the pool as heated and open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily at our last check (May 2026, before the rename), so treat it as a daytime pool and ask about current hours. Libra restaurant, Bar Libra and a Starbucks are downstairs.
- Why stay: The most stylish rooftop pool in the city, with the Dr. Phillips Center, Church Street and the Kia Center a short walk away.
- Getting there / to the parks: Plan on a car or rideshare: about 8 to 9 miles by road to Universal’s CityWalk area (roughly 15 minutes in light traffic), 20 to 22 miles to EPCOT or Magic Kingdom (about 32 minutes) and 13 miles to Orlando International Airport (MCO), which Marriott lists as 12.
- Good to know: Marriott listed valet parking at $42 a day ($25 for daytime parking) and a minimum check-in age of 21 (May 2026 capture). Confirm both after the rename.
Best for: Couples, special occasions and anyone pairing a pool afternoon with a show or a game downtown.
2. Lake Nona Wave Hotel

At 6100 Wave Hotel Drive in Lake Nona’s Town Center, this hotel bills its Wave Pool as “A Rooftop Experience.” It’s the most colorful pool on this list and the only one here that advertises private cabanas fitted with a sofa, coffee table, entertainment console and TV, plus curtains you can close for privacy.
The hotel says the pool is open every day from dawn until dusk. Select rooms have private balconies, and the restaurants include BACÁN, Garni Café and The Nectar Room. Our guide to the best hotels in Lake Nona compares it with the quieter chain hotels nearby.
- Why stay: The most playful rooftop pool in Orlando, plus serious restaurants in Lake Nona’s Town Center.
- Getting there / to the parks: The hotel says MCO is eight miles away; OSRM routes about 7 miles (roughly 15 minutes). Universal is about 19 miles (30 minutes) and EPCOT or Magic Kingdom 20 to 22 miles. Lake Nona’s Beep shuttles cover local trips only.
- Good to know: All guests must be 21 or older to check in. Valet costs extra (no price was listed), or you can self-park on floor two and up of the adjacent Wave public garage. Pets under 40 lb pay a $150 cleaning fee ($250 in suites).
Best for: Couples, design lovers and a stylish first or last night near the airport.
3. The Alfond Inn

This 183-room boutique hotel at 300 East New England Avenue in Winter Park sits just off Park Avenue. Its FAQ is specific: the resort fee covers “access to rooftop pool & bar with sundeck.” Contemporary art from The Alfond Collection fills the building, and Hamilton’s Kitchen is the on-site restaurant.
Don’t confuse the rooftop pool with the Spa Pool, which is reserved for spa guests 18 and older with a booked treatment. Our list of Orlando hotels with adults-only pools explains how it compares with other age-restricted pools.
- Why stay: A small, art-filled hotel with a rooftop pool and bar, and dinner on Park Avenue a short walk away.
- Getting there / to the parks: This isn’t a theme park base. The hotel lists MCO at about 18 miles (30 to 35 minutes); OSRM routes about 16. Universal is about 13 miles by road (25 minutes) and the Disney parks 25 to 27 miles (40 minutes or more).
- Good to know: At the time of writing the resort fee is $27 plus tax per room per night (rooftop pool and bar, Wi-Fi, fitness center and a 10% spa discount). Parking is valet only, from $37 a day plus tax. You must be 21 to check in, only dogs are accepted as pets, and pack and plays are available.
Best for: Anniversaries, weekend escapes and Rollins College visits. More options are in our best hotels in Winter Park, Florida guide.
4. Cambria Hotel Orlando Universal Blvd

If you want a rooftop pool near the theme parks, this is the one. The Cambria at 6801 Visitors Circle, just off International Drive, promotes “our rooftop pool and bar with sweeping city views” on its Choice Hotels page. Choice’s amenity list also includes a rooftop lounge, a poolside bar, a full-service bar and restaurant and a grab-and-go market.
On Booking.com the hotel currently appears as “Cambria Hotel Orlando near Universal Theme Parks,” so don’t be thrown by the different name.
- Why stay: The closest rooftop pool to Universal Orlando on this list, handy for a swim before an evening at CityWalk.
- Getting there / to the parks: Choice lists Universal Studios Orlando about 1 mile away; by road it’s about 1.4 miles to the CityWalk area (5 minutes). EPCOT and Magic Kingdom are 13 to 16 miles (about 27 minutes) and MCO about 13 miles. Choice lists a shuttle service without a schedule, so ask the hotel where it goes.
- Good to know: At our last check (Choice page captured February 2026), parking was listed as free and pets were not allowed (service animals only). Check-in is at 4 p.m., the minimum check-in age is 18, and Choice says the hotel doesn’t accept reservations from local residents.
Best for: Universal and Epic Universe trips when you want a rooftop swim after park days.
5. Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Orlando Resort & Suites Intl Drive

The Ramada Plaza at 6500 International Drive has two towers on a lake. The North Tower’s rooftop holds a swim-in-place pool, a spa, a sundeck, a gym and the SkyBar, but the hotel reserves them for Club Level suite guests. Other North Tower suite guests can buy a day pass for $25 plus tax per person per day, and outside visitors aren’t allowed.
Club Level adds unlimited complimentary beer and wine from noon to 8 p.m. (last call 7:45 p.m.) and snacks from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The rooftop is open daily from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Club Level one-bedroom suites measure 750 square feet. The hotel says two-bedroom suites sleep up to 10, but the same page caps suites at five guests for SkyBar access, so confirm your party size.
- Why stay: The only rooftop pool on this list with drinks included, in suites big enough for a group.
- Getting there / to the parks: Universal’s CityWalk area is about 1.7 miles by road. The shuttle page lists free 9 a.m. departures to Universal Studios and Epic Universe and a 9:50 a.m. run to EPCOT, returning at 5:45 p.m. (EPCOT), 6:15 p.m. (Epic Universe) and 8:20 p.m. (Universal). The FAQ still mentions Magic Kingdom, so confirm the routes. Seats are first come, first served, and groups of 10 or more can’t ride.
- Good to know: The FAQ lists free self-parking, the site advertises a free continental breakfast, and the Club Level page says there are no resort or parking fees. You must be 25 to check in, a $250 incidental hold applies, pets aren’t allowed and children need an adult with them on the rooftop.
Best for: Groups and multigenerational families booking Club Level suites.
6. Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport

Orlando’s airport says this 445-room hotel is inside Terminal A/B, above the security checkpoint for Gates 70 to 129, and promotes its “rooftop pool & sundeck.” Hyatt adds that the pool is outdoor and heated, with a Roman-style splash pool, a sun deck and a shaded lounge where you can watch planes on the runway.
The hotel and its restaurants are before security. Hemisphere, on the ninth floor, has runway views, and McCoy’s Bar and Grill is on the lobby level. Day-use rooms, sold from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. based on availability, include the pool. Our Orlando airport hotels guide compares it with the shuttle hotels nearby.
- Why stay: A rooftop swim without leaving the terminal, ideal before an early flight or during a long layover.
- Getting there / to the parks: Terminal A and B arrivals can walk from baggage claim; Terminal C is a separate building linked by the four-minute Terminal Link train, so allow extra time from there. By road, Universal is about 13 to 14 miles (25 to 30 minutes) and EPCOT or Magic Kingdom 21 to 24 miles (35 to 40 minutes).
- Good to know: The airport and Hyatt list self-parking and valet but no prices on the pages we checked, so ask when you book. The airport’s page also lists Park, Stay & Go packages that bundle a night with parking for your trip.
Best for: Late arrivals, early departures and anyone with a long layover.

7. Hilton Garden Inn Orlando Downtown

This Hilton Garden Inn shares its building at 401 North Magnolia Avenue with the Home2 Suites by Hilton Orlando Downtown. Hilton invites guests to “kick back by our rooftop pool,” and lists a Starbucks café, an on-site restaurant and a fitness center. Lake Eola Park, home of the Walt Disney Amphitheater, is a few blocks away.
- Why stay: A modern, mid-scale hotel with a rooftop pool on the quieter north side of downtown.
- Getting there / to the parks: Universal is about 9 miles by road (16 minutes), EPCOT and Magic Kingdom 21 to 23 miles and MCO about 14 to 15 miles. LYNX Central Station, with SunRail and local buses, is less than half a mile away.
- Good to know: Parking is valet only, listed at $45 a day at our last check (March 2026 capture). Up to two dogs or cats are allowed for a fee.
Best for: Concert weekends and walks around Lake Eola. More neighborhood picks are in our best hotels in downtown Orlando guide.
8. Home2 Suites by Hilton Orlando Downtown

Home2 Suites is the other half of the 401 North Magnolia building, directly across from the Orange County Courthouse, and Hilton headlines its page with “rooftop pool views in downtown.” The difference is the room: Hilton lists in-room kitchens for extended stays and a free hot breakfast, which the Hilton Garden Inn doesn’t list. Both hotels advertise a rooftop pool at this address, and their photos show the same deck.
- Why stay: A kitchen, free breakfast and a rooftop pool at one downtown address.
- Getting there / to the parks: The same as the Hilton Garden Inn: about 9 miles to Universal, 21 to 23 miles to the Disney parks and LYNX Central less than half a mile away.
- Good to know: Valet-only parking was listed at $45 a day at our last check (September 2025 capture). Check-in is at 3 p.m., and up to two dogs or cats are allowed for a fee.
Best for: Longer stays, work trips and families who’d rather make their own breakfast and snacks.

9. DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando Downtown

The DoubleTree at 60 South Ivanhoe Boulevard overlooks Lake Ivanhoe, right off I-4 on the northern edge of downtown. Hilton says “we have a sky-deck pool,” along with a 24-hour fitness center, Sixty South Bar and a Made Market serving Starbucks. Hotel photos show the pool on an open roof deck with the guest tower rising behind it, so picture a rooftop terrace on the lower building rather than a top-floor pool.
Lake Eola, Church Street and the Kia Center are about 1.4 to 1.7 miles away by road, so most guests drive or take a short rideshare into the core. Our DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando Downtown review covers the rooms in detail.
- Why stay: The easiest I-4 access of the downtown group and the only downtown pick here with on-site self-parking listed.
- Getting there / to the parks: About 10 miles to Universal by road (17 minutes), 21 to 24 miles to EPCOT or Magic Kingdom and about 15 miles to MCO.
- Good to know: Hilton listed self-parking at $33 a day and valet at $36 (April 2026 capture). Pets are allowed for a nonrefundable fee.
Best for: Drivers who want a pool with a view and a quick run to the parks.
Rooftop bars and restaurants that aren’t rooftop pools
Some well-known Orlando rooftops are for drinks or dinner, not swimming: Bar 17 Bistro on top of Universal Aventura Hotel, the rooftop Bar Helios at Universal Helios Grand Hotel and Capa, Four Seasons Resort Orlando’s 17th-floor steakhouse. Reunion Resort in Kissimmee calls Eleven its rooftop restaurant. One Reunion villa page mentions a rooftop pool at the Grande Tower, but the resort’s pool page lists eight pools and none on a roof, so ask before you count on one.
Neither here nor in our area guides did we find a hotel in Lake Buena Vista, Bonnet Creek or Celebration that advertises a rooftop pool. For Disney days, the nearest picks above are Cambria and the Ramada. For high-end stays closer to the parks, start with our best luxury resorts in Orlando.
How to choose a hotel with a rooftop pool in Orlando
- For the best rooftop scene: Hotel Beauden downtown or Lake Nona Wave Hotel. Both are 21+ at check-in and feel like city hotels rather than resorts.
- For Universal: Cambria Hotel Orlando Universal Blvd is the closest. The Ramada Plaza works if you book Club Level and want included drinks and a scheduled park shuttle.
- For an airport night: the Hyatt Regency inside MCO for convenience, or Lake Nona Wave Hotel, about 15 minutes away, for a nicer evening.
- With kids: check age rules first. Beauden, the Wave and The Alfond Inn require the registered guest to be 21, and the Ramada requires 25. Home2 Suites, with kitchens and free breakfast, is the most practical downtown pick for families.
- In winter: mornings can be cool. Beauden and the Hyatt list heated pools; for the others, ask before you count on a swim, or see our guide to Orlando hotels with indoor pools.
- Add the extras: resort fees, valet-only parking and 12.5% Orange County tax can change which hotel is the better deal. Rates vary by season, availability and how far ahead you book.
Frequently asked questions
Which Orlando hotels have a rooftop pool?
On official pages we confirmed rooftop or sky-deck pools at Hotel Beauden, Lake Nona Wave Hotel, The Alfond Inn, Cambria Hotel Orlando Universal Blvd, Ramada Plaza on International Drive (Club Level only), Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport, Hilton Garden Inn and Home2 Suites Orlando Downtown, and DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando Downtown. Most are downtown or near the airport rather than next to the theme parks.
Is there a hotel with a rooftop pool near Universal Orlando?
Yes. Cambria Hotel Orlando Universal Blvd advertises a rooftop pool and bar and is about 1.4 miles by road from Universal’s CityWalk area. The Ramada Plaza on International Drive, about 1.7 miles away, also has a rooftop pool, but only Club Level suite guests can use it, with a $25-per-person day pass for other North Tower suite guests.
Are there rooftop pools near Disney World?
Not that we could confirm. None of the hotels in Lake Buena Vista, Bonnet Creek or Celebration that we checked advertises one, and Four Seasons Resort Orlando’s rooftop is a 17th-floor restaurant. Reunion Resort in Kissimmee mentions a rooftop pool on one villa page, but its official pool list doesn’t include it. The closest confirmed picks are Cambria and the Ramada Plaza near Universal, 13 to 16 miles by road from EPCOT and Magic Kingdom.
Can kids use rooftop pools at Orlando hotels?
It depends on the hotel. Hotel Beauden, Lake Nona Wave Hotel and The Alfond Inn set a minimum check-in age of 21, and the Ramada Plaza requires 25 and says children must be with an adult on its rooftop. A check-in age covers the person registering, so ask each hotel how children can use the pool. For the other hotels, confirm the check-in age before you book.
Can I use the Hyatt Regency airport pool without staying overnight?
Yes, if you book a day-use room. Hyatt sells day-use rates, based on availability, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and they include the pool, fitness center, restaurant and room service. The airport also promotes this day stay with access to the rooftop pool and sundeck. Prices weren’t published, so contact the hotel to check availability for your date.
Are rooftop pools in Orlando heated?
Some are. Marriott listed Hotel Beauden’s Altira pool as heated (May 2026), and Hyatt describes its airport pool as outdoor and heated. The other hotels on this list don’t state it on the pages we checked. Orlando winters are mild but mornings can be chilly, so ask the hotel about the water temperature if you’re traveling between December and February.
Bottom line
Orlando’s rooftop pools are a city-hotel feature, not a theme park one. Book Hotel Beauden for the best rooftop downtown, Lake Nona Wave Hotel for color and cabanas, Cambria for Universal and the Hyatt Regency at MCO for an airport swim. Check age rules, pool hours and parking before you commit, since they matter more here than at most resorts.
