Orlando hotels with indoor pools are rarer than you might expect: most resorts here build big outdoor pool decks, and only a handful of properties list a pool that is fully or partly indoors. We found nine we could verify, from a Marriott Village hotel with a free Disney shuttle to suite hotels on International Drive, downtown, near the airport and north of the city in Altamonte Springs.

An indoor pool earns its keep on the days Florida doesn’t cooperate: a winter cold front, a windy evening, or a summer afternoon when thunderstorms clear the outdoor deck. It also gives toddlers a shaded place to splash between park days.

Every pool below is listed as indoor or indoor/outdoor on the hotel’s own website or brand page. Fees, hours and policies change often, so treat the numbers as “at last check” and confirm them before you book.

Quick answer: For Disney, book Courtyard Orlando Lake Buena Vista in the Marriott Village, with an indoor/outdoor pool and a free Disney shuttle. For Universal and I-Drive, both Embassy Suites on International Drive have indoor and outdoor pools plus free made-to-order breakfast. For a family villa with a water park outside and a pool under cover, look at The Fountains on south I-Drive.

How we chose these Orlando hotels with indoor pools

Travel sites list dozens of “indoor pool” hotels in Orlando, but many of those listings are wrong or out of date. We kept a hotel only if its own website or brand page names an indoor pool, an indoor heated pool or an indoor/outdoor pool at our last check.

  • Verified pool: indoor or indoor/outdoor, as stated by the hotel, with published hours where available.
  • Location: a spread of areas, because an indoor pool only helps if the hotel also suits your plans: Disney, International Drive, downtown, the airport and the northern suburbs.
  • Value: free breakfast, free parking and two-room suites count in a hotel’s favor; resort-style extras alone do not.
  • Transport: theme park shuttles or airport shuttles only where the hotel lists them.
  • No scores: we don’t rank by review ratings. The list runs roughly from the Disney area north.

Some well-known names didn’t make it. DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando Downtown lists a sky-deck pool that Hilton classes as outdoor. The glass atrium at Gaylord Palms Resort is an indoor garden, but its pools and water park are outdoors. Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Orange Lake Resort shows several outdoor pool areas and a lazy river on its official pool page, with no indoor pool. We also left out The Enclave Hotel & Suites on Carrier Drive: a staySky Vacation Clubs page lists an indoor pool, but we couldn’t confirm it on a current hotel website.

1. Courtyard Orlando Lake Buena Vista in the Marriott Village

Outdoor pool with palm trees and lounge chairs at Courtyard Orlando Lake Buena Vista in the Marriott Village

This is the only hotel on our list right in the Disney area. The Courtyard sits in the Marriott Village at 8623 Vineland Avenue, a three-hotel campus it shares with a SpringHill Suites and a Fairfield Inn & Suites. Marriott lists a heated “Hotel Indoor/Outdoor Pool” at the Courtyard, open 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily at last check, plus an indoor whirlpool and an outdoor whirlpool.

The Courtyard’s Marriott page also lists the SpringHill Suites outdoor pool and the Fairfield Inn outdoor pool and whirlpool, so the village’s pools appear to be shared; confirm at check-in which ones your room key opens. Disney Springs is roughly 2.5 miles away by road, and EPCOT’s main parking lot is about 6.5 miles away.

  • Why stay: A covered swim close to Disney, with a free shuttle and casual food on site.
  • Getting there / to the parks: The hotel advertises a free shuttle to Walt Disney World; ask for the current schedule and which parks it serves. It’s listed as a Disney Good Neighbor hotel, which isn’t the same as Disney’s Early Theme Park Entry.
  • Good to know: Marriott listed on-site parking at $25 a day. The Bistro serves a buffet breakfast, which isn’t listed as complimentary, and a food hall sells pizza and comfort food you can eat by the pool or in your room. Pets aren’t allowed; service animals are welcome.

Best for: Disney-focused families who want a backup pool for stormy afternoons without paying resort prices.

2. The Fountains Resort (Bluegreen Vacations)

Covered pool with columns and glass walls opening onto a sunny palm-lined deck at The Fountains Orlando

The Fountains is a villa resort on 54 acres around Lake Eve at 12400 South International Drive. It’s the most “resort” option here. Outside, Bluegreen Wakoola Springs covers 75,000 square feet with a zero-entry pool, two water slides (42-inch minimum height), fountains, a children’s pool and hot tubs. When the weather turns, the resort points guests to its 6,000-square-foot indoor/outdoor pool, and its amenity list includes an indoor heated pool and a sauna/steam room.

Units range from one-bedroom villas to two-bedroom standard, deluxe, premium and superior villas, and three-bedroom deluxe and Presidential suites. The units have kitchens with dishwashers. A 20,000-square-foot clubhouse holds a kids’ activity room, fitness room, arcade and a market selling Starbucks coffee.

  • Why stay: A water park for sunny days and an indoor/outdoor pool for rainy ones, plus space to cook and spread out.
  • Getting there / to the parks: SeaWorld is about 3 miles away by road, Disney Springs about 5 miles and Universal’s main garage about 7 miles. Plan on driving.
  • Good to know: Bluegreen lists on-site parking at $10 plus tax per vehicle per night (free for club owners), a 21 minimum check-in age and a $100 credit card pre-authorization at check-in. It charges for towels that aren’t returned, and it warns that building 7 is under exterior renovation through November 2026, with possible noise on weekdays and Saturdays.

Best for: Families and groups staying a week who want villa space and both kinds of pool.

3. Embassy Suites by Hilton Orlando International Drive ICON Park

Exterior at dusk with lit windows and palm trees at Embassy Suites Orlando International Drive ICON Park

This all-suite hotel at 8250 Jamaican Court sits next to ICON Park, just off International Drive. Hilton lists both an indoor pool and an outdoor pool, so you can switch when a storm rolls in. The suite layout gives parents a separate living area once the kids are asleep.

Hilton also lists free made-to-order breakfast and a complimentary evening reception. The Cascades Lounge serves drinks and dinner, and a 24-hour grab-and-go market covers late snacks. For more choices nearby, see our guide to the best hotels on International Drive.

  • Why stay: Two pools, free hot breakfast and walkable ICON Park dining, close to Universal.
  • Getting there / to the parks: Sources disagree on the shuttle to Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando and Epic Universe: the hotel’s Booking.com description calls it free, while a Hilton page summary still says paid (October 2026), so confirm before you book. By car, Universal’s main garage is about 3 miles (under 10 minutes) and Epic Universe about 3.5 miles.
  • Good to know: Self-parking is $24.50 a day including tax on Hilton’s page (October 2026), with no valet. The hotel is pet friendly, with a non-refundable fee.

Best for: Universal and Epic Universe trips where you want breakfast included and a pool you can use in any weather.

4. Embassy Suites by Hilton Orlando International Drive Convention Center

Sand-colored facade with palm trees and agave plants at Embassy Suites Orlando International Drive Convention Center

The second Embassy Suites on I-Drive, at 8978 International Drive, is a short drive south of the first. Hilton names “both our indoor and outdoor pools” as a highlight. As at its sister hotel, the free made-to-order breakfast and the evening reception are included.

Pointe Orlando’s restaurants and shops are next door (Hilton puts them 0.1 mile away), and the Orange County Convention Center is about a mile away. That makes it a useful pick when one parent has a conference and the rest of the family wants pool time.

  • Why stay: Indoor and outdoor pools, free breakfast and dinner options within walking distance.
  • Getting there / to the parks: Universal’s main garage is about 3 miles by road and SeaWorld about 3.5 miles, each roughly 10 minutes without traffic. Hilton’s page doesn’t mention a theme park shuttle, so plan on driving or rideshare. The hotel calls itself a Disney Good Neighbor hotel and sells attraction tickets in the lobby.
  • Good to know: Self-parking was $23 a day at last check, with no valet. Dogs and cats are allowed for a non-refundable fee.

Best for: Convention trips with family along, and I-Drive stays built around SeaWorld and Universal.

Best for: Concerts, games and longer stays where you’ll cook some meals and want a swim year-round.

6. Marriott Orlando Airport Lakeside

Marriott Orlando Airport Lakeside hotel reflected in the calm lake under a clear blue sky

This lakefront hotel at 7499 Augusta National Drive has both an indoor pool and an outdoor pool, according to Marriott. That combination is rare near the airport. On Fridays through Sundays, weather permitting, the Splash pool bar serves food and drinks from noon to 6 p.m.

Marriott lists four restaurants, including Crimson Cafe (à la carte breakfast on weekdays and a breakfast buffet on weekends) and the Rooted Grounds coffee shop. The fitness center is open 24 hours. If you’re mainly after an easy flight connection, see our full roundup of Orlando airport hotels.

  • Why stay: A free airport shuttle plus an indoor pool for a first or last night that might be rainy.
  • Getting there / to the parks: The hotel runs a complimentary airport shuttle; at last check it left every 15 minutes from 5 to 9 a.m. and every 30 minutes the rest of the day. Call the hotel for pickup. The terminal is about 3.5 miles away by road (Marriott lists 2.2 miles), Epic Universe about 11 miles and Universal’s main garage about 12.5 miles.
  • Good to know: Self-parking was $30 a day and valet $38 at last check. Only service animals are allowed.

Best for: Early flights, late arrivals and park-and-fly stays.

7. Sheraton Suites Orlando Airport

Open-air courtyard pool with palm trees and lounge chairs between the guest wings at Sheraton Suites Orlando Airport

Across Augusta National Drive at number 7550, Sheraton Suites offers two-room suites with pull-out sofa beds, which Marriott pitches at families. Marriott describes an indoor/outdoor saltwater pool, open 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. at last check; its amenity listing files the pool under outdoor, so ask how much of it is under cover.

The Sky Grill serves breakfast and dinner, and the fitness center is open 24 hours. The hotel says it is family and pet friendly.

  • Why stay: Two-room suites, an indoor/outdoor pool and a 24-hour free airport shuttle.
  • Getting there / to the parks: The airport shuttle runs 24/7 on request. Marriott suggests saving the hotel’s number (407-240-5555) on your phone, since there’s no courtesy phone bank at the airport. Marriott gives two different distances to MCO (1.7 and 2.8 miles); by road the terminal is about 3.5 miles, roughly 10 minutes. Universal is about 12.5 miles by road.
  • Good to know: On-site parking was $22 a day at last check. Breakfast at the Sky Grill isn’t listed as complimentary, so budget for it.

Best for: Families who need a suite near MCO for a night or two.

8. Embassy Suites by Hilton Orlando North

Indoor pool and round hot tub with brick columns and lounge chairs at Embassy Suites Orlando North

North of the city at 225 Shorecrest Drive in Altamonte Springs, this Embassy Suites sits on Cranes Roost Lake in Uptown Altamonte, next to the Altamonte Mall. Its only listed pool is indoors, so you can swim here in any weather. Hilton lists free made-to-order breakfast, a complimentary evening reception and free parking.

It works well as a base for Seminole County, for visiting family, or as a halfway stop between the beaches and the parks, which is how Hilton pitches it.

  • Why stay: An indoor pool, free breakfast and free parking in one package.
  • Getting there / to the parks: Universal is about 17 miles away by road (around 30 minutes without traffic), and Disney’s parks are about 29 to 31 miles away. Orlando Sanford airport is about 15 to 16 miles by road, and MCO about 22.5 miles (Hilton’s figures are 14 and 19 miles).

How to choose an Orlando hotel with an indoor pool

Start with where you’ll spend your days, then pick the pool. An indoor pool in Altamonte Springs won’t make up for an extra hour of driving to Magic Kingdom each day. If you’re still deciding on an area, our guide to where to stay in Orlando compares them.

Match the hotel to your trip

  • Disney World: Courtyard in the Marriott Village is the closest, with a free Disney shuttle listed. The Fountains also works by car.
  • Universal and Epic Universe: Embassy Suites ICON Park is closest, with Embassy Suites Convention Center a short drive farther.
  • SeaWorld: The Fountains and the Convention Center Embassy Suites are each about 3 to 3.5 miles away by road.
  • Arrival or departure night: Marriott Airport Lakeside or Sheraton Suites, both with free airport shuttles.
  • Events downtown: Residence Inn Downtown.
  • Visiting the northern suburbs: Embassy Suites Orlando North or SpringHill Suites Altamonte.

Indoor vs. indoor/outdoor

“Indoor/outdoor” can mean one pool that continues from a covered indoor section out to an open-air deck. Each hotel’s layout is different, so look at its photos. The setup is great on a hot day, but the indoor side can feel cooler on a windy winter evening. A fully indoor pool, like those at the Residence Inn, SpringHill Suites and Embassy Suites Orlando North, is the safer bet for a cold snap. Ask the hotel whether the indoor section stays open when lightning closes the outdoor deck, since policies differ.

When an indoor pool matters most

Summer brings frequent afternoon thunderstorms, and winter can bring cool, breezy days. See our month-by-month guide to the best time to visit Orlando for what to expect, and our list of things to do in Orlando when it rains for the rest of a wet day. Families with very young children often value an indoor pool most, as a calm break from heat and crowds. Our best family-friendly hotels in Orlando guide covers resorts with bigger outdoor water features.

Frequently asked questions

Which Orlando hotels have an indoor pool?

At our last check, official pages listed indoor or indoor/outdoor pools at Courtyard Orlando Lake Buena Vista in the Marriott Village, The Fountains, both Embassy Suites on International Drive, Residence Inn Orlando Downtown, Marriott Orlando Airport Lakeside, Sheraton Suites Orlando Airport, Embassy Suites Orlando North and SpringHill Suites Orlando Altamonte Springs/Maitland. Confirm pool hours and any closures before you travel.

Are there hotels with indoor pools near Disney World?

The closest one we could verify is Courtyard Orlando Lake Buena Vista in the Marriott Village on Vineland Avenue. Marriott lists a heated indoor/outdoor pool and an indoor whirlpool, and the hotel advertises a free shuttle to Walt Disney World. Disney Springs is about 2.5 miles away by road. The Fountains on south International Drive is another option if you’re driving.

Do any hotels near Universal Orlando have an indoor pool?

Yes. Embassy Suites by Hilton Orlando International Drive ICON Park is about 3 miles by road from Universal’s main garage and lists both indoor and outdoor pools, free made-to-order breakfast and a paid park shuttle. Embassy Suites Orlando International Drive Convention Center, a short drive south, also has indoor and outdoor pools.

Are indoor hotel pools in Orlando heated?

Several are, by the hotels’ own descriptions. Marriott lists heated pools at Residence Inn Orlando Downtown, SpringHill Suites Orlando Altamonte Springs/Maitland and the Courtyard in the Marriott Village. The Fountains lists an indoor heated pool. Hilton’s pages for the Embassy Suites hotels name indoor pools but don’t say whether they’re heated, so ask the hotel if water temperature matters to you.

Is an indoor pool worth it in Orlando?

It can be. Summer thunderstorms can close outdoor pools for part of the afternoon, and winter cold fronts can make an outdoor swim unpleasant. An indoor pool keeps a rest day on track, especially with young children. Choose by location first, though: a pool won’t make up for long drives to the parks every day.

Bottom line

Only a small group of Orlando hotels list an indoor pool, so pick by area first. Choose Courtyard in the Marriott Village for Disney, an Embassy Suites on I-Drive for Universal, The Fountains for villa space, and the airport or Altamonte hotels for short stays. Check pool hours, parking and shuttle details on the hotel’s site before you book, and compare rates for Courtyard Orlando Lake Buena Vista in the Marriott Village if you want the Disney-area pick.
