The Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace is an Official Walt Disney World Hotel in the Disney Springs Resort Area, a short walk across a pedestrian bridge from Disney Springs. Staying here gets you Disney’s 30-minute Early Theme Park Entry every day, a reservable shuttle to all four Disney theme parks, and a pool area with a Float Lagoon lazy river, a kids’ splash pad and rentable cabanas.
It is not Disney-owned, though: there is a daily resort charge, parking costs extra, and park transport is an hourly hotel shuttle, not Disney buses. Below are the rooms, pools, dining, fees and shuttle rules, checked on the hotel’s own pages.
Quick answer: Book the Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace if you want a full-service resort with a lazy river, Early Entry and Disney Springs on foot, and you don’t mind paying a resort charge and parking. Families of five or six should look at the Island or Tower suites. If you want breakfast included and no resort fee, compare it with the nearby Drury Plaza.

Location: a walk to Disney Springs, a short drive to the parks
The hotel sits on East Buena Vista Drive, across from Disney Springs. The hotel says the walk takes 5 to 7 minutes on average: the path starts outside the pool area and leads to a pedestrian skybridge.
The Island Building, across the pool from the main Tower, is the closer of the two buildings to Disney Springs. The Tower, the main building, gives the easiest access to the restaurants.

| Destination | Hilton’s figure | By road (about) | How to get there |
|---|---|---|---|
| Disney Springs | 0.2 miles | Walk | Walk via skybridge |
| EPCOT | Not listed | 4 miles | Hotel shuttle or car |
| Magic Kingdom | 5 miles | 5.5 miles | Hotel shuttle or car |
| SeaWorld Orlando | 6 miles | 7 miles | Car or rideshare |
| Universal Orlando | 9 miles | 10 miles | Car or rideshare |
| Orlando airport (MCO) | 15 miles | 19 miles | Taxi, rental car or Mears Connect |
Road distances are rounded from a driving route; Hilton’s figures understate the drive to Magic Kingdom parking and the airport. Traffic sets the drive time.
Rooms and suites at the Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace
Standard rooms are about 400 square feet, with one king or two queen beds, a sitting area, a 50-inch TV, a mini fridge, a coffeemaker and a safe, and most have a private balcony. King rooms add a sofa bed in the sitting area and have a walk-in shower; queen rooms have a tub and shower combination. Connecting rooms are available.
The hotel also sells Disney Springs View rooms and EPCOT Fireworks View rooms, both in the Tower, plus Pool View rooms in either building. See our guide to hotels with views of Disney fireworks for other options.

| Room type | Beds | Sleeps | Building |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard or view room | 1 king | 3 | Tower or Island |
| Standard or view room | 2 queens | 4 | Tower or Island |
| 1-bedroom Island Family Suite | 2 queens + sofa bed | 6 | Island |
| Junior Tower Suite | 2 queens + sofa bed | 5 to 6 | Tower |
| 2-bedroom Island Family Suite | 1 king + 2 queens + sofa bed | 8 | Island |
Occupancy comes from Hilton’s room listings at last check; Hilton gives the Junior Tower Suite as both 5 and 6, so confirm. Suites add a separate living area with a double sofa bed, and most have an extra half bathroom. Island suites have a microwave, and Island Family Suites add board games and a snack cart. Families of five need a suite.

Hilton’s room listings put the Junior Tower Suite at about 700 square feet, the one-bedroom Island suites at about 800 and the two-bedroom Island Family Suite at about 1,200. Accessible rooms with a roll-in shower or accessible tub are offered.
Pools, the Float Lagoon and recreation
Between the Tower and the Island Building you’ll find a heated outdoor pool and the Float Lagoon, a spiraling lazy river with beach-style entry. Tubes are covered by the resort charge. Younger kids get a splash pad, and the hotel says the pools are heated to 82 to 85 degrees. Pools are open 7 am to 11 pm, with no outside food, drinks or coolers. Compare it with our roundup of Orlando hotels with lazy rivers.

Private cabanas hold up to six guests and include a fan, mini fridge, TV, fruit platter and Shades service. They are booked through Resort Pass, with 10 percent off via the resort charge. Away from the water there is an arcade off Citrus 28, open 6 am to 11 pm, and an event lawn with cornhole and ladder toss.
Dining and breakfast
Breakfast isn’t included in standard rates. The hotel’s dining page lists five places to eat or drink, and hours change with the season:

- LetterPress: The main restaurant, with lake views and American comfort food. A breakfast buffet runs 7 to 11 am, brunch until 1 pm and dinner 5 to 10 pm.
- Citrus 28: Grab-and-go café with Starbucks coffee, pastries, sandwiches, made-to-order pizza and ice cream, open 6 am to 1 am.
- Shades: Poolside bar and grill with burgers, pizza and cocktails, open from 11 am, weather permitting.
- Sunnies: Lounge off the lobby with a screened patio overlooking the Float Lagoon, 4 to 10 pm.
- Blue: Sports bar with games, open seasonally from 9 pm to 1 am.

At last check (Hilton’s hotel page as archived in May 2026), the Disney character breakfast at LetterPress was listed as temporarily suspended, and the hotel’s own dining page doesn’t list one. In-room delivery runs at breakfast (7 to 11 am) and dinner (4 to 11 pm), and the resort charge gives 10 percent off food and drink, excluding room service.
Resort fee, parking and other charges
The daily resort charge is $41 per room, per night, plus tax. It covers internet access, the Disney parks shuttle, a daily sun-care product, Float Lagoon access with tubes, 50 percent off golf rentals at Disney Golf, notary services, 10 percent off food and drink (not room service) and 10 percent off cabanas.
| Charge | Amount | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Resort charge | $41 + tax | Per room, per night |
| Self-parking | $38 + tax | Per night, in/out allowed |
| Valet parking | $48 + tax | Per night |
| Late check-out | $50 | Until 2 pm |
| Early departure | 1 night + tax | If you leave early |
All parking charges are taxed at 6.5 percent. With a car, the resort charge plus self-parking adds roughly $79 a night before tax, so budget for it when you compare rates.
Check-in is 4 pm, check-out 11 am, and kids under 18 stay free in their parents’ room. Up to two dogs (40 lb combined) are allowed; Hilton.com listed a fee of $75 per stay for one or two nights or $125 for three or more (June 2026 capture), though the hotel’s own site gives no amount. Rates vary by season, availability and how far ahead you book.
Getting to the Disney parks
The shuttle to all four Disney theme parks is covered by the resort charge, but it runs hourly and must be reserved both ways, up to 72 hours ahead. (Some hotel copy says “continuous”; the posted schedule is hourly.) Buses leave at 35 minutes past each hour, starting 90 minutes before park opening, from the first-floor courtyard by the fitness center. Returns leave on the hour (Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom) or at 10 past (Hollywood Studios, EPCOT), the last one 60 minutes after closing.
That first bus works for Early Theme Park Entry. Disney lists the hotel among the “other select hotels” whose guests enter all four theme parks 30 minutes early every day of the stay, including check-in and check-out days, with valid admission. Link your hotel reservation in the My Disney Experience app. Our guide to non-Disney hotels with Early Theme Park Entry lists the other hotels on Disney’s list.
You don’t get Extended Evening Hours (Disney lists only its Deluxe and Deluxe Villa resorts plus the Swan, Dolphin, Swan Reserve and Shades of Green) or free theme park parking (Disney Resort hotels only); standard park parking was $35 per day at the time of writing. Disney Springs garages are free.
There is no shuttle to Disney Springs (you walk) and none listed to Universal or SeaWorld. For the airport, the hotel points to taxis, rental cars and Mears Connect.
Amenities: fitness, Wi-Fi and services
- Fitness center: Open 24 hours, with cardio machines, free weights and a Peloton bike.
- Wi-Fi: Internet access is part of the resort charge.
- Concierge: Daily 9 am to 4 pm; Disney tickets are sold on-site.
- Spa and kids club: The hotel’s current website does not list a spa or a supervised kids club.

Who the Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace suits
It fits families who want resort pools and Early Entry, especially if they plan several evenings at Disney Springs. Groups of five to eight do well with the Island suites, which put you close to the pool and the walk to Disney Springs.

It suits travelers less well if Universal or Epic Universe is the main goal, or if they want frequent Disney transportation. Budget travelers should note that the resort charge and parking add up.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace get Disney Early Entry?
Yes. Disney lists the Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace among the “other select hotels” whose guests get Early Theme Park Entry. You can enter any of the four Disney theme parks 30 minutes before official opening on every day of your stay, including check-in and check-out days. You need valid park admission, and you should link your hotel reservation in the My Disney Experience app. The hotel’s first shuttle leaves 90 minutes before opening.
Can you walk from the Hilton Buena Vista Palace to Disney Springs?
Yes. Hilton puts Disney Springs 0.2 miles away, and the hotel says the walk averages 5 to 7 minutes. The path starts outside the pool area and crosses a pedestrian skybridge, so you don’t walk along the road. Because of that, the hotel doesn’t run a shuttle to Disney Springs. If you’d rather drive, standard parking in the Disney Springs garages is free.
Does the Hilton Buena Vista Palace have a shuttle to the Disney parks?
Yes. A shuttle runs to Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom, and it’s covered by the $41 resort charge. It runs hourly, leaving the hotel at 35 minutes past the hour, and you must reserve both the outbound and return trips, up to 72 hours ahead. The last return leaves 60 minutes after park closing. The hotel doesn’t list a shuttle to Universal or SeaWorld.
How much is the resort fee at the Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace?
At the time of writing, the daily resort charge is $41 per room, per night, plus tax. It covers internet access, the Disney parks shuttle, Float Lagoon access with tubes, a daily sun-care product, notary services, and discounts on golf rentals, food and drink, and cabanas. Parking isn’t included: self-parking is $38 and valet $48 per night, plus tax. Confirm both when you book.
Does the Hilton Buena Vista Palace have a character breakfast?
Not at last check. Hilton’s hotel page, as archived in May 2026, said the Disney character breakfast at LetterPress was temporarily suspended, and the hotel’s own dining page doesn’t mention one. LetterPress still serves a breakfast buffet from 7 to 11 am, and Citrus 28 opens at 6 am for coffee and pastries. If a character meal is the reason you’re booking, call the hotel to ask whether it has resumed.
Bottom line
The Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace makes the most sense if you want Disney Springs on foot, daily Early Entry and a lazy river, in a hotel with suites big enough for larger families. The trade-offs are the $41 nightly resort charge, paid parking and an hourly shuttle you have to reserve. Add those before comparing it with the fee-free Drury Plaza nearby.
