Holiday Inn Orlando Disney Springs is the 14-story Holiday Inn on Hotel Plaza Boulevard, inside the Walt Disney World Resort and about half a mile on foot from Disney Springs. It’s one of the non-Disney hotels on Disney’s official list for 30-minute Early Theme Park Entry, and its resort fee pays for an hourly shuttle to all four Disney theme parks.

The official name is Holiday Inn Orlando – Disney Springs Area, and it’s easy to confuse with two other Holiday Inns nearby. This review sticks to what the hotel, IHG and Disney publish, flags where they disagree, and treats every fee as “at the time of writing”.

Quick answer: book it if you want a mid-priced, walkable base for Disney Springs with Disney’s Early Entry and an included (but reservation-only, hourly) park shuttle. Budget for the $39-a-night resort fee plus 12.5% tax, and $27 to $31 a day for parking if you bring a car. If you want a suite, free breakfast or a bigger pool complex, look at the alternatives below.

Where Holiday Inn Orlando Disney Springs is, and how far everything is

Hotel Plaza Boulevard is the short road of partner hotels between State Road 535 and Disney Springs. The hotel calls itself the only Holiday Inn inside the Walt Disney World Resort.

The hotel quotes an 8-minute walk to Disney Springs (its FAQ says 7 to 10 minutes). An OSRM walking route from the hotel’s Hotel Plaza Boulevard side, over the Hotel Plaza pedestrian bridge, measured about 0.55 mile to the Marketplace end of Disney Springs and about 0.65 mile to World of Disney, roughly 10 to 15 minutes.

Road distances below come from an OSRM routing check to each guest parking entrance, rounded. Allow extra time at the Magic Kingdom, where you park at the Transportation and Ticket Center, then take the monorail or ferry.

Rooms and views

The hotel sells two layouts, two queen beds or one king, in several view categories: Walt Disney World fireworks view (select floors of the northwest-facing side of the tower), Disney Springs view (two queens only, on the top floors), pool view, standard view, and a non-balcony standard view. The hotel’s home page says the fireworks, Disney Springs, pool and standard view rooms include a balcony. The hotel’s FAQ gives 357 sq ft as the average room size.

All rooms list a Keurig coffee maker, microwave, mini-fridge, a 49- to 55-inch HDTV, a desk with a power dock, a laptop-size safe and Dove bath products. Cribs are free on request with advance notice, but there are no rollaway beds. The hotel’s website doesn’t state a maximum occupancy; its Early Entry page only says its system defaults to four people (two adults, two children) per reservation, so a family of five should ask first.

IHG’s page also shows a “Suite” category that the hotel’s own room list doesn’t include, so ask before counting on one. A “fireworks view” depends on your floor and the night’s show schedule; it’s not a guarantee. Housekeeping is a daily light refresh with a full clean every fifth day.

Pool and recreation

There’s one heated outdoor pool with a zero-entry shallow end, handy for toddlers. Around it are a whirlpool hot tub, loungers, pool towels and a games lawn with ping-pong, cornhole, jumbo Connect Four and hopscotch. There’s also a game room.

Don’t expect a water park: no waterslides or splash zones are listed. If those matter, Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites – Waterpark is a different property on International Drive South with its own water park.

Dining and breakfast

Palm Breezes Restaurant and Lounge, in the atrium, is the only restaurant. The hotel lists breakfast from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. (11 a.m. on weekends), lunch and dinner from noon to 10 p.m., and the bar until 10 p.m. (11 p.m. Friday and Saturday). Its grab-and-go market sells snacks, pastries, sandwiches and drinks from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. (11 p.m. Friday and Saturday).

Breakfast isn’t included unless your rate says so. Kids Eat Free covers up to four children 11 and under per family ordering from the kids’ menu, with a registered adult ordering a full-price main, and the hotel lists vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options. The resort fee adds lobby coffee from 6 to 11:30 a.m. and cookies and lemonade at the bar from 4 to 6 p.m.

Resort fee, parking and other charges

The nightly rate shown on Booking.com may not include the resort fee, so check the price breakdown before you confirm.

The resort fee covers the park shuttle, two welcome drinks (soda, juice, well cocktail, house wine or beer), lobby coffee, afternoon snacks, two bottles of water a day, local calls, the in-room fridge and microwave, computer and printing access, gym access and 50% off rental equipment at the Walt Disney World golf courses.

Parking: the hotel’s amenities page and FAQ list $27 standard and $31 preferred, and IHG’s hotel page also showed self-parking at $27 a day when we checked in October 2026. Fees can change, so confirm at check-in. Wi-Fi is free throughout.

Check-in is at 4 p.m., check-out at 11 a.m., and the person checking in must be at least 21 with a photo ID. Pets aren’t allowed (service animals are welcome), and the whole property is smoke-free apart from designated outdoor areas.

Getting to the Disney parks

Hotel shuttle. The resort fee includes hourly buses to Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom, but seats must be reserved for your whole party. The hotel says you can book up to 48 hours ahead at the front desk or with the QR code you get at check-in, and its app tracks the bus live. Times vary with park hours; wheelchair and scooter users should pick the ADA option. The shuttle doesn’t run to special events such as the marathons or the after-hours holiday parties.

Early Theme Park Entry. Disney’s Early Entry page (English Canada version, checked October 8, 2026) lists “Holiday Inn Orlando” among the select hotels whose guests get 30 minutes of early entry to any theme park every day, and says the benefit continues through 2027. You need valid admission and, depending on your ticket, a park reservation. The hotel says its shuttles start one hour before park opening, so check the timing for your morning. Link your hotel reservation in My Disney Experience, or ask the hotel for a voucher. Our guide to non-Disney hotels with Early Theme Park Entry has the full list.

Lightning Lane. Guests here can buy Lightning Lane passes 3 days before their park visit, as the hotel’s site confirms; the 7-day window is limited to Disney Resort hotels and a few others.

Driving. Standard theme park parking was $35 a day (tax included) on Disney’s parking page at the time of writing; free standard park parking is only for Disney Resort hotel guests and select Annual Passholders. Disney Springs parking is free.

Airport and Universal. There’s no airport or Universal shuttle; the hotel recommends Mears, a taxi or rideshare from the airport.

Amenities: fitness, Wi-Fi and accessibility

The 24-hour fitness center opens with your room key (under-18s need an adult). There’s also a 24-hour computer station, coin laundry, an ATM, luggage storage and meeting space. There’s no spa or kids club.

For accessibility, the hotel lists wheelchair-accessible rooms with roll-in showers and grab bars, visual alarms, TTY on request, Braille in elevators and rooms, and an accessible shuttle. Request the exact feature you need when you book. IHG One Rewards perks generally apply only to bookings made directly with IHG, not through Booking.com.

Who it suits

It suits couples and families of up to four who’ll spend evenings at Disney Springs and want Early Entry without Disney Resort prices, including travelers without a car who can plan around an hourly, reservation-only bus. It’s a weaker fit for larger families needing a suite or kitchen, rope-droppers wanting a guaranteed early bus, and Universal-heavy trips.

Pros

  • Walkable to Disney Springs over a pedestrian bridge, with free Disney Springs parking if you’d rather drive.
  • On Disney’s official Early Theme Park Entry list, every park, every day.
  • Park shuttle to all four parks included in the resort fee.
  • Microwave, mini-fridge and Keurig in every room; most rooms have balconies.
  • Zero-entry heated pool and Kids Eat Free for children 11 and under.

Limitations to know

  • The $39 resort fee plus tax applies every night, even if you never ride the shuttle.
  • Parking adds $27 to $31 a day plus tax.
  • The shuttle runs hourly, needs a reservation and may not line up with early opening.
  • No suites on the hotel’s own site and no rollaway beds.
  • One restaurant, no free breakfast and no slides or splash pad.

What to check before you book

  • Whether your Booking.com total shows the resort fee, and whether your rate is refundable.
  • The exact view category, since non-balcony rooms have no balcony.
  • Current shuttle times for your park days, especially Early Entry mornings.
  • Room capacity, if you’re a party of five or more.
  • The address: 1805 Hotel Plaza Boulevard, not another Orlando Holiday Inn.

Nearby alternatives

Several Hotel Plaza Boulevard neighbors share the Early Entry perk. Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista connects to Disney Springs by skybridge and has more pools and restaurants. DoubleTree Suites by Hilton at Disney Springs is all suites, a better choice if your family wants a separate living area. Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando includes hot breakfast and evening food.
