Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Resort is the 19-story tower at 1850 Hotel Plaza Boulevard, in Walt Disney World’s Disney Springs Resort Area, a short walk over a pedestrian bridge from Disney Springs. Its 232 lakehouse-themed rooms include Disney View rooms, and guests get Disney’s 30-minute Early Theme Park Entry plus a complimentary hourly park shuttle.

The tower shares a campus, pools, restaurants and shuttle with its sister hotel, Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista, but the two are booked separately. This review covers the tower, using the hotel’s and Disney’s own pages, with every fee quoted as it stood at the time of writing.

Quick answer: book it if you want a tower room with a view, an easy walk to Disney Springs, Early Entry and a free park shuttle you reserve in advance. Budget $36 a night plus tax for the resort fee and $30 a night plus tax to park. If you need a suite, an in-room microwave or free breakfast, see the alternatives below.

Wyndham Lake Buena Vista vs Wyndham Garden: two hotels, one campus

The Wyndham Lake Buena Vista is the tower. The Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista is the low-rise part of the campus, which the hotel calls “the budget-minded solution.” Disney lists both, separately, for Early Theme Park Entry.

Location: how far Wyndham Lake Buena Vista is from Disney Springs and the parks

The hotel calls the Wyndham pair “the closest hotels to Disney Springs,” with the pedestrian bridge to the right of the front entrance, and quotes a 5-to-7-minute walk. An OSRM walking route from the driveway measured about 0.4 mile to the Disney Springs side of the bridge, 0.55 mile to the Rainforest Cafe end of the Marketplace and 0.6 mile to World of Disney, so allow 10 to 12 minutes.

Road distances below are rounded from OSRM routes to each guest parking entrance. At Magic Kingdom you park at the Transportation and Ticket Center, then take the monorail or ferry.

Rooms and Disney views

All 232 rooms are in the tower, which is the main reason to pick this hotel over its sister. The Disney View Two Queens and Disney View King face the theme parks and Disney Springs; the king adds a sofa bed. The Tower Two Queens is the standard room, and the hotel says some have views of Lake Buena Vista. There’s also an accessible two-queen room.

Every room lists a 55-inch HDTV, a USB alarm clock, a refrigerator with freezer, a coffee maker, a laptop safe, a hair dryer and an iron. There’s no in-room microwave (a guest microwave is open 24 hours in the Sundial market), and you can’t bring your own appliances.

The hotel’s own site doesn’t publish a maximum occupancy, but Wyndham’s booking page lists 4 guests for the two-queen rooms and 3 for the king (Booking.com shows up to 4), and the hotel’s offer terms cap rooms at 4. There are no rollaways or cots, but Pack ‘n Plays are free. Two queens suit a family of four; a family of five will need two rooms. Disney View rooms promise fireworks “off in the distance,” so treat them as a bonus. Our list of hotels with views of Disney fireworks compares other options.

Pools and recreation

The Oasis Aquatic Pool area behind the hotel is shared by both Wyndhams and open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., with towels provided. The heated main pool holds 189,000 gallons and has a rock waterfall. There’s also a smaller cool-down pool and an elevated hot tub overlooking the lake.

Younger kids get a zero-entry splash pool with interactive water features and a tipping bucket. Cabanas can be rented first-come, first-served, and there’s a firepit, a basketball court and a sand volleyball court (equipment from the Oasis Restaurant, covered by the resort fee).

The hotel lists no waterslides, the shuttle doesn’t serve Disney’s water parks, and Typhoon Lagoon was closed for refurbishment at the time of writing.

Dining and breakfast

Meals aren’t included. The hotel lists five outlets:

  • LakeView Restaurant (mezzanine): breakfast buffet with Mickey waffles, plus à la carte, 6:30 to 11 a.m.
  • Joffrey’s Coffee Shop (lobby): coffee, pastries and breakfast sandwiches, 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Sundial 24-7 (lobby level): grab-and-go food and drinks around the clock.
  • Oasis Restaurant (poolside): lunch and dinner 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., weather permitting; bar 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Eclipse Lounge (lobby level): Florida spirits, craft beer and light bites, 5 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., happy hour 5 to 7 p.m.

The resort fee includes 10% off food and non-alcoholic drinks at the Oasis Restaurant, and Disney Springs is a short walk away. Hours can change. The hotel doesn’t accept Instacart or similar grocery deliveries.

The resort fee covers premium in-room internet, the fridge and safe, the gym and recreation areas, 10% off at the Oasis Restaurant, 50% off rental equipment at the Walt Disney World golf courses and a Disney Springs Resort Area coupon book. The park shuttle is listed separately as complimentary.

Check-in is at 4 p.m., check-out at 11 a.m., and the minimum check-in age is 18 with photo ID. The hotel holds your estimated charges plus $75 (up to three nights) or $150 (four nights or more). It isn’t pet-friendly (service animals welcome) and is smoke-free except in designated outdoor areas.

Getting to the Disney parks

Hotel shuttle. Complimentary shuttles run hourly to Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom, from 90 minutes before each park opens until 90 minutes after it closes. Reservations are required, and the schedule is given at check-in. There’s no service to the water parks or special events. Wheelchair and scooter users should request transport at least 48 hours ahead.

Early Theme Park Entry. Disney’s Early Entry page lists “Wyndham Lake Buena Vista” among the select hotels whose guests can enter any theme park 30 minutes early, every day. We checked the live English (Canada) page on October 9, 2026 and the US page archived on August 28, 2026; both say the benefit continues through 2027. You need a valid ticket, a Resort ID and, where required, a park reservation. The first bus leaves 90 minutes before official opening (an hour before Early Entry begins), so check the schedule you get at check-in. Our list of non-Disney hotels with Early Theme Park Entry covers the rest.

Other benefits. The hotel lists Lightning Lane purchases 3 days in advance (Disney Resort hotel guests get 7), dining reservations 60 days ahead and golf tee times up to 90 days ahead.

Driving. Standard theme park parking is $35 a day including tax on Disney’s parking page; Disney Springs parking is free.

Airport and Universal. The hotel provides no airport shuttle and lists no Universal shuttle. The hotel recommends Mears Connect, a taxi or rideshare from the airport.

Amenities: fitness, arcade, Wi-Fi and accessibility

The lobby-level fitness center has treadmills, bikes, ellipticals, free weights and a Cybex multi-station. The Good Game Arcade has more than 30 games. There’s also a 24-hour guest laundry, a 24-hour business center and ATMs. The hotel doesn’t list a spa or kids club.

Wi-Fi covers public areas except meeting rooms, and premium in-room internet is part of the resort fee. The complex lists 23 ADA rooms, 5 with roll-in showers, plus visual alarms, closed-caption TVs and accessible parking. Wyndham Rewards terms exclude stays booked on third-party sites such as Booking.com, so don’t count on member points or perks.

Who it suits

It suits couples and families of up to four who want a high-floor view, evenings at Disney Springs and Early Entry without Disney Resort prices, including visitors without a car who can plan around an hourly shuttle. It’s a weaker fit for families of five or more, anyone who wants to reheat food in the room, rope-droppers who need a guaranteed early bus, and Universal-heavy trips.

Pros

  • Walkable to Disney Springs over a pedestrian bridge.
  • On Disney’s official Early Theme Park Entry list, every park, every day.
  • Complimentary hourly shuttle to all four Disney theme parks.
  • Disney View rooms in a 19-story tower overlooking the lake.
  • Large heated pool area with a kids’ splash pool, hot tub, cabanas and courts.
  • A 24-hour market, coffee shop and breakfast buffet on site.

Limitations to know

  • $36 resort fee plus tax every night, and $30 plus tax for parking.
  • No in-room microwave, no rollaways or cots, no suites.
  • Shuttles run hourly, need a reservation and skip the water parks.
  • No free breakfast and no airport or Universal shuttle.
  • Pools, dining and shuttle are shared with the 394-room Wyndham Garden.

What to check before you book

  • That you’re booking the tower (Wyndham Lake Buena Vista), not Wyndham Garden.
  • Whether your room is a Disney View room or a standard tower room.
  • Whether your Booking.com total includes the resort fee, and whether the rate is refundable.
  • Room capacity if you’re a party of five or more.
  • Current shuttle times for your park days, especially Early Entry mornings.
