Embassy Suites Orlando International Drive ICON Park is an all-suite Hilton hotel at 8250 Jamaican Court, a side street off International Drive next to ICON Park. All 246 suites have a bedroom with a door and a separate living room, and a made-to-order hot breakfast and an evening reception are included. Universal’s parking garages are about 2.5 road miles away.

A full renovation finished in 2026, so older guest photos online may not show the current suites. Below are the layouts, food, fees, the shuttle (official sources disagree on whether it’s free) and road distances, checked in October 2026 on Hilton’s pages, the hotel’s Booking.com listing and its manager’s September 2026 announcement.

Quick answer: Book it if you want a two-room suite, a cooked breakfast and a walk to ICON Park’s restaurants, with Universal and Epic Universe about 10 minutes away by car without traffic. Self-parking is $24.50 a day including tax, and no resort fee is listed. The hotel’s Booking.com description and its manager’s September 2026 announcement call the theme park shuttle free, but a Hilton page summary still says paid; Platinum Transportation’s October 2026 schedule lists Universal, Epic Universe and EPCOT runs with no fare, so confirm the cost before you plan around it. For Disney-heavy trips, a Lake Buena Vista hotel is closer.

Location and distances from Embassy Suites Orlando International Drive

The hotel sits on Jamaican Court, a short loop road off the west side of International Drive, between Sand Lake Road and the ICON Park complex across the street. ICON Park’s restaurants and The Wheel are about a 10-minute walk, and the I-RIDE Trolley runs along International Drive. For other options on this stretch, see our guide to hotels near ICON Park.

Hilton’s rounded figures (its page as archived in June 2026; the airport figure is current) are shorter than the actual drives, so we routed each trip from the hotel’s coordinates to each parking entrance:

Without traffic, Universal and Epic Universe take about 10 minutes and the Disney parks roughly 15 to 20; the return from Universal’s garages is about 3.4 to 3.6 miles by our routes. Allow extra time on I-4, where FDOT is rebuilding the Sand Lake Road interchange, the hotel’s exit, with completion expected in 2027.

On foot, The Wheel is about 0.5 mile (11 minutes), Seito Sushi at the east end of Restaurant Row about 0.8 mile and Pointe Orlando about 1.3 miles. The Orange County Convention Center’s West Building is about 1.7 miles on foot or 2 by car; Hilton’s pages have listed it as both 1 mile and “two miles” away.

The I-RIDE Trolley’s Red Line runs along International Drive about every 20 minutes from 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., as far as SeaWorld and both outlet malls, for $2 a ride ($1 for kids 3 to 9) or $8 for a one-day pass.

Suites: layouts, beds and who they sleep

Every room is a two-room suite. The bedroom has a king, two queens or two doubles behind a door. The living room has a sofa bed, a second TV and a wet bar; the hotel’s photos show a mini-fridge, coffee maker, microwave and sink. Crestline Hotels & Resorts, the hotel’s manager, calls these kitchenettes, but Booking.com lists a microwave and refrigerator, not a stovetop.

Occupancy and sizes below come from the hotel’s Booking.com room list at the time of writing; not every suite type shows a size.

SuiteBedsSleepsSize (Booking.com)
Two-room king1 king + sofa bed439 m² (about 420 sq ft)
Corner or premium king1 king + sofa bed459 m² (about 635 sq ft)
Two queens (incl. corner, premium)2 queens (+ sofa bed in most)6Not listed
Accessible two doubles2 doubles (+ sofa bed in most)5 or 633 to 43 m² (about 355 to 465 sq ft)

Accessible suites come with a king or two doubles and a tub or roll-in shower, and there are hearing-accessible suites. Booking.com lists the accessible two-double suites for 6 guests, or 5 with a roll-in shower; they are the only two-double suites on its room list.

For a family of five or six, book a two-queen suite. Booking.com lists free cribs on request for children up to 3 and says no extra beds are available. Hilton lists connecting rooms, and Booking.com lists laundry service for an extra charge. Compare other layouts in our guide to rooms that sleep 5 or 6 at Disney World and Universal.

Pool and recreation

Hilton describes one heated indoor/outdoor pool with a chaise lounge sun deck, open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, with free pool towels and no lifeguard. The hotel’s photos show the pool running from the deck into a glass-roofed indoor section with a pool lift, handy on a rainy afternoon. Booking.com lists it as two heated pools.

There are no waterslides, lazy river, splash pad or kids’ club, and Hilton lists no childcare. If a big pool matters, look at the bigger I-Drive resorts in our guide to the best hotels on International Drive.

Free breakfast, evening reception and dining

Breakfast is the main draw. Hilton lists a free made-to-order hot breakfast and a buffet. Hilton’s page as archived in June 2026 named omelets, scrambled eggs, waffles, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, and pastries, served 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. on weekdays and 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. on weekends. The current page doesn’t post hours, so confirm them at check-in.

In the evening there’s a complimentary reception with drinks and snacks (alcohol only for guests 21 and over); Hilton doesn’t publish its hours. Cascades Lounge serves cocktails and a dinner menu from 5:30 to 10 p.m., per Hilton, and room service runs in the same hours. The E’terie market is open 24 hours for snacks, sundries and grab-and-go meals, and Hilton says a kids’ menu is available.

Booking.com’s rates we checked showed breakfast included. For more included meals, see our list of Orlando hotels with free breakfast; ICON Park and Restaurant Row cover dinner on foot.

Parking, resort fee and hotel policies

Hilton lists self-parking at $24.50 per day including tax. The hotel’s Booking.com listing shows US$23 a day, which works out to about the same charge once sales tax is added. Parking is secured, with in-and-out privileges and EV charging, but no valet or covered spaces. Hilton listed $18 plus tax in June 2026, so the rate has gone up.

Hilton’s policy data shows no resort charge, and Booking.com’s prices for sample November and December nights added only taxes and fees of about 12.5% to the room rate, in line with Orange County’s 12.5% hotel tax. Confirm the total before you pay. Other policies at the time of writing:

  • Check-in and age: check-in 4 p.m., check-out 11 a.m.; the guest checking in must be at least 21.
  • Late check-out and early departure: Hilton lists a $75 late check-out fee and a $75 early departure fee. Booking.com’s fine print says the property charges the full stay if you leave early, so read your rate’s terms.
  • Pets: up to two dogs or cats, with a non-refundable fee of $75 for 1 to 4 nights or $125 for 5 nights or more.
  • Payment: Booking.com says cash isn’t accepted; bring a card for check-in.
  • Smoking: the hotel is 100% non-smoking.

Hilton Honors points and member perks such as the Honors discount rate and Digital Key generally apply only when you book directly with Hilton, not through Booking.com.

Getting to Disney, Universal and SeaWorld

The official sources disagree about the shuttle. The hotel’s own description on Booking.com (October 2026) says it offers a free shuttle to Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Orlando and Epic Universe, adding that there’s no free shuttle to SeaWorld, and Crestline’s September 29, 2026 announcement also calls it free.

But the summary on Hilton’s hotel information page still promises a “paid shuttle” to Disney World, Universal Studios, Epic Universe and SeaWorld (October 2026), and Hilton’s main page described a paid shuttle to all four in June 2026. Platinum Transportation now posts a schedule for the hotel (effective October 5, 2026): Universal Studios and Epic Universe at 8:55 a.m. and EPCOT at 9:55 a.m., returning from EPCOT at 5:45 p.m., Epic Universe at 6:15 p.m. and Universal at 8:20 p.m. It prints no fare, so ask the hotel, in writing if you can, about cost and reservations.

Don’t confuse this hotel with Embassy Suites Orlando International Drive Convention Center at 8978 International Drive. Fabulous Buses runs a paid shuttle from that hotel at $15 per rider, which is a different service.

Disney World: the hotel isn’t on Disney’s Early Theme Park Entry list, so you get the same Lightning Lane booking window as other off-site guests. The parks are about 11.5 to 13.5 miles away via I-4, and standard theme park parking is $35 a day on Disney’s parking page. If Disney is your main goal, our guide to Hilton hotels near Disney World lists closer options.

Universal and Epic Universe: about 2.5 and 3.3 miles by car or rideshare; Universal’s regular self-parking is $35 including tax on its parking page at the time of writing. A room-only booking here includes neither Universal’s Early Park Admission, which goes to Universal hotel guests and other selected groups, nor Express Pass, which is included free only at Hard Rock Hotel, Portofino Bay and Royal Pacific. Compare other Hilton-brand options in our guide to Hilton hotels near Universal Orlando.

SeaWorld: about 4 miles by car, or ride the I-RIDE Trolley’s Red Line south along International Drive.

Airport: Hilton lists no airport shuttle. Mears Connect serves Disney-area hotels, not I-Drive, so plan on a rideshare, taxi or rental car; Hilton puts the drive at 20 minutes.

Amenities: fitness center, Wi-Fi and services

The fitness center has treadmills, exercise bikes and free weights. Wi-Fi is free, and Hilton also lists streaming TV, Digital Key and seven meeting rooms, the largest a ballroom of about 3,000 sq ft. Accessible features include the entrance, elevators, restaurant, pool, fitness room and parking spaces.

Who it suits

This hotel works best for Universal and Epic Universe trips and families who want space without resort prices. A family of four can put the kids on the sofa bed and close the bedroom door; six fit in a two-queen or two-double suite.

It’s a weaker fit for Disney-heavy trips, water-slide fans and groups with no one 21 or older.

Pros

  • Every room is a two-room suite with a door between the bedroom and the living room.
  • Free made-to-order breakfast and a nightly reception with drinks and snacks.
  • A 0.5-mile walk to ICON Park and about 0.8 mile to Restaurant Row.
  • About 2.5 road miles to Universal and no resort fee listed.
  • Freshly renovated in 2026, with a heated indoor/outdoor pool.

Limitations to know

  • The shuttle’s cost isn’t clear online; official pages say both free and paid, and the operator’s schedule prints no fare.
  • Parking costs $24.50 a day and there’s no valet.
  • Disney’s parks are 11.5 to 13.5 miles away, with no Early Theme Park Entry.
  • One pool and no slides, lazy river or kids’ club.
  • King suites sleep only 4, with no extra beds.
  • The guest checking in must be 21 or older.

What to check before you book

  • Shuttle: free or paid, which parks, departure and return times, and whether you need a reservation.
  • Suite type: for five or six, make sure your rate says two queens or two doubles, not one king.
  • Cancellation and early departure: Booking.com’s rates and Hilton’s rates have different terms.
  • Pets: tell the hotel in advance and budget $75 or $125 per stay.
  • Address: 8250 Jamaican Court, not the Convention Center Embassy Suites at 8978 International Drive.

Nearby alternatives

Drury Inn & Suites near Universal Orlando, about 0.75 mile away on foot across I-4 on Restaurant Row, includes a hot breakfast, an early-evening Kickback with hot food and drinks, parking and a scheduled Universal shuttle in the rate, but its rooms aren’t all two-room suites.

Castle Hotel, Autograph Collection is a stylish choice for couples and groups of adults near ICON Park, though it lists no park shuttle and its parking costs more.

Hilton Orlando near the convention center adds a lazy river and free transport to Universal, Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, in exchange for a nightly resort charge.
