The hotels near Universal Orlando with free parking that hold up on official pages are mostly brand hotels on Major Boulevard, Vineland Road, Windhover Drive and American Way, plus the Drury on Sand Lake Road. Each lists free self-parking on its own or brand page and on Booking.com, and Booking.com added only tax in our price checks.

Universal’s own hotels charge $26 to $36 plus tax per night to park, and its theme park garages charge $35 a day. A free hotel lot plus a free shuttle or a walk to CityWalk cuts both costs. Hotels that charge a little for parking, or fold it into a resort fee, are in a separate “nearly free” table.

Quick answer: Book the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Nearest Universal Orlando for free parking, a free hot breakfast and a free shuttle that IHG says covers every Universal park, Epic Universe included, about 25 minutes on foot from CityWalk. Drury Inn & Suites near Universal Orlando Resort adds a free evening Kickback and also names Epic Universe, and Residence Inn Near Universal adds full kitchens. All nine picks showed only tax in Booking.com’s breakdowns, with no resort fee.

How we chose these hotels near Universal Orlando with free parking

Every hotel passed these checks in October 2026:

  • Free on two sources: the hotel’s own site or brand page (IHG, Hilton, Marriott, Wyndham, Choice or Drury), live or in a dated archive copy, lists free self-parking, and its Booking.com listing does too.
  • No fee that pays for parking: Booking.com’s price breakdowns for four sample stays between November 2026 and February 2027 added only Orange County’s 12.5% hotel tax. Hotels with a parking charge or a resort fee went to the “nearly free” table.
  • A way to Universal without your car: every pick advertises a free Universal shuttle, and we measured the walk to the middle of CityWalk on OpenStreetMap’s foot router.
  • Distance: road miles are our OSRM routes to the toll plazas at Universal’s garages (6000 Universal Boulevard) and Epic Universe (1001 Epic Boulevard), both ways, rounded.

Rates vary by season, availability and how far ahead you book.

What parking costs at Universal Orlando and its hotels

Free hotel parking only covers the hotel. Universal’s parking page lists regular self-parking at $35 a day, tax included, at the garages for Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, Volcano Bay and CityWalk, and at the Epic Universe lot. Prime parking costs $50 to $60, and Universal says pricing is seasonal and may vary by day.

One day’s parking is valid at both locations if you show your receipt or QR code and a photo ID. Garage self-parking is free after 6 p.m., except on Halloween Horror Nights event nights and December 31, and never at Epic Universe. Volcano Bay is closed for maintenance, with a planned reopening on or before April 1, 2027.

Our Orlando theme park parking guide has Disney and SeaWorld prices too, and our guide to whether a Universal hotel is worth it weighs those costs against the perks.

1. Holiday Inn Express & Suites Nearest Universal Orlando

This hotel at 5605 Major Boulevard is the most complete free-parking deal near Universal. IHG’s live page, checked in October 2026, promises “no surprise resort fees,” and its parking answer reads “Parking fee: 0 USD per day.” Booking.com agrees.

IHG says the free shuttle serves all Universal theme parks, Volcano Bay and Epic Universe included; you reserve seats at the Universal Vacation Planning Center in the lobby. You can also walk about 1.2 miles to the middle of CityWalk, roughly 25 minutes. By road, the garages are 1.2 to 1.7 miles away and Epic Universe about 4.7 miles.

  • Why stay: free parking, a free hot breakfast from 6 to 9:30 a.m. and a free shuttle that names Epic Universe.
  • Getting there / to the parks: times are not posted online, so ask for the first departure when you check in.
  • Good to know: the minimum check-in age is 18, per IHG, and Booking.com lists a $100 damage deposit. See our Holiday Inn Express Nearest Universal review.

Best Western Plus Universal InnFree (Best Western, Booking.com)$9 resort fee + tax on Booking.com

Booking.com lists the same $10 a day and showed no resort fee. Its free shuttle runs to Universal and Epic Universe, booked in person 24 hours ahead; see our comparison of the Rosen Inns.

The Best Western Plus Universal Inn at 5618 Vineland Road lists free parking on its brand page (May 2026 copy) and on Booking.com. However, Booking.com’s breakdowns added a resort fee of $9 a night ($18 for two nights, $27 for three) plus tax, which Best Western’s page does not mention.
