Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is Disney’s separately ticketed holiday evening at Magic Kingdom. In 2026 it runs on 25 select nights from November 8 to December 22, from 7:00 p.m. to midnight. Tickets cost $189 to $229 plus tax, depending on the night, with $10 off for children ages 3 to 9.

The party sells out early. When we checked Disney’s ticket page on October 26, 2026, 13 of the 25 nights were already marked as sold out. This guide lists every night with its price, explains what the ticket includes and shows how to get back to your hotel after midnight.

Quick answer: Pick a night still on sale (12 at our check, all from November 15 onward), enter as early as 4:00 p.m. and plan your ride home first. Disney Resort hotel guests ride Disney buses and monorails that run until one hour after closing. Buses for the Walt Disney World Dolphin, Swan and Swan Reserve also run after closing, but they leave from the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC), so you take a ferry or monorail there first. Off-site shuttles vary, so check your hotel’s late returns.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2026 dates and ticket prices

Disney prices each night separately. The table groups the 25 nights by price, per ticket and before tax. Disney’s ticket data added 6.5% sales tax, so a $189 ticket came to $201.29. Children younger than 3 do not need a ticket.

Sold-out status can change. Party tickets are nonrefundable and nontransferable, and Disney gives no refunds if entertainment is cancelled. Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members save $10 per ticket on select nights from November 8 to 20 and from November 29 to December 3.

Party hours, 4:00 p.m. entry and early closing

The party runs from 7:00 p.m. to midnight. With a party ticket, you can enter Magic Kingdom from 4:00 p.m. on your date, and you do not need a day ticket or a theme park reservation. To arrive before 4:00 p.m., you need valid park admission. Disney’s ticket page is not consistent about reservations: one note also requires a Magic Kingdom theme park reservation, while the ticket description says one may be required, depending on your ticket type. Check your ticket in My Disney Experience.

Magic Kingdom closes early to day guests on party nights. Disney’s park calendar, checked on October 26, 2026, showed a 6:00 p.m. closing for day guests on all 25 dates, with opening at 8:00 a.m. on November 8, 9 and 13 and at 9:00 a.m. on the other party nights. On non-party days in November and December, the park stayed open until 10:00 p.m. or 11:00 p.m. For a regular day with the nightly fireworks, choose a non-party date.

What the party ticket includes

Disney lists these experiences for 2026. Entertainment can change, and the parade, fireworks and stage shows can be cancelled because of bad weather.

  • Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade: Disney characters, marching toy soldiers, dancing gingerbread men and Santa Claus.
  • Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks: Disney says you can watch from most of the park, including Liberty Square, Fantasyland and Tomorrowland.
  • Stage show and dance party: Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration at Cinderella Castle, and Club Tinsel at Rockettower Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland.
  • Characters: greetings around the park with characters in holiday outfits, plus Frozen Holiday Surprise at Cinderella Castle and Santa’s Christmas Carnival in Storybook Circus.
  • Treats: cookies and hot and cold holiday drinks at designated locations, at no extra charge. Disney had not posted the locations at our check.
  • Snow and decorations: a “snowfall” on Main Street, U.S.A., holiday decorations and themed photo spots.
  • Holiday versions of rides: Space Mountain, Tomorrowland Speedway, Mad Tea Party and Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor. Jingle Cruise runs all day.
  • Classic rides: Disney names Pirates of the Caribbean, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Haunted Mansion, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin among the attractions open during the party.

What is closed or costs extra

Disney’s calendar lists Tiana’s Bayou Adventure as closed for refurbishment from November 2 through December 17, 2026. That covers every party night except December 18, 20 and 22, although the party page still names it among the rides with PhotoPass ride photos. Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress is closed on every party night, according to the same calendar.

Bookable dining and the dessert parties cost extra, and so do specialty snacks, event merchandise and Memory Maker photo downloads. Disney also says admission does not guarantee access to any attraction or experience.

Dessert parties and dining on party nights

Disney sells two dessert parties: Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace, with reserved seating for the fireworks, and a version with Plaza Garden Viewing, with a reserved standing area in the East Plaza Garden. Both offer a dessert buffet with cheeses, beer and wine (21 and older), and both require a party ticket for the same night. Disney charges the full price if you cancel within one day, and the dessert party goes ahead even if the fireworks are cancelled.

For a sit-down meal, Disney lists Be Our Guest Restaurant, Cinderella’s Royal Table and The Plaza Restaurant, plus The Beak & Barrel for drinks and snacks. Disney highly recommends reservations, and the meal costs extra.

Lightning Lane on party nights

Disney’s party page does not mention Lightning Lane passes, and Disney’s Lightning Lane page does not address party nights. planDisney panelists wrote in November 2024 and again in October 2025 that Lightning Lanes are not available during the party. A November 2024 answer added that day-ticket return windows end when the park closes to day guests. planDisney says its panelists are independent and Disney does not review their answers, so confirm in the My Disney Experience app.

With a day ticket, guests of Disney Resort hotels, the Walt Disney World Dolphin, the Walt Disney World Swan, the Swan Reserve and Shades of Green can buy Lightning Lane passes 7 days before their stay. Everyone else can buy 3 days before the visit.

Disney Resort hotels and the Swan, Dolphin and Swan Reserve

Disney publishes no separate party-night schedule. Its bus and monorail pages say resort buses and the Magic Kingdom monorails stop one hour after closing. The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin says the Disney buses for its three hotels run about every 20 to 25 minutes and continue 45 minutes after the parks close. Its pages also say these buses drop Magic Kingdom guests at the TTC, so after the party you take the ferryboat or monorail to the TTC first. No page says whether “closing” means the end of the party, so ask your hotel.

The monorail resorts have the shortest trip. The Contemporary is within walking distance of Magic Kingdom, and Disney says a walking path of less than a mile now links the Grand Floridian with the park. These resorts are Disney-owned and booked through Disney, not Booking.com; our guide to hotels near Magic Kingdom compares them.

Off-site hotel shuttles

Most hotel shuttles drop Magic Kingdom guests at the TTC. On party nights, many stop early or do not run:

  • Holiday Inn Orlando – Disney Springs Area: its transportation page says the shuttles do not run for after-hours events such as Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. See our Holiday Inn Orlando Disney Springs review for its regular service.
  • Bonnet Creek: on the Halloween party nights of October 27 and 29, 2026, the Mears shuttle for Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek and Waldorf Astoria Orlando showed its last Magic Kingdom return at 6:50 p.m., before the party started.
  • Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando – Disney Springs Area: the exception. Its schedule for October 26 to November 1, 2026 listed regular TTC returns until 11:40 p.m., plus extra returns from 11:55 p.m. to 1:15 a.m. on the Halloween party nights of October 27, 29 and 31.

Drury posts one schedule per week; the November and December schedules were not online at our check. At any off-site hotel, ask for the last TTC return on your date. Our list of hotels near Magic Kingdom with shuttle has sample bus times for 10 hotels.

Rideshares, Minnie Vans and the TTC transfer

Ordinary rideshare cars stop at the front entrance of the TTC, not the park gate, so after the party you first ride the ferryboat or the Express monorail to the TTC. The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin warns that this transfer can add 45 minutes to over an hour, depending on crowds. The same page says Disney’s Minnie Vans, booked in the Lyft app, may drop guests at the Disney bus area near the Magic Kingdom entrance.

If you drive, Disney’s standard theme park parking is $35 a day, including tax, and Disney’s parking page lists no separate party rate. Courtesy trams link the Magic Kingdom lot with the TTC. Standard theme park parking is included for registered guests of Disney Resort hotels and, according to the resort, of the Swan and Dolphin hotels.

1. Walt Disney World Dolphin

The Dolphin is a Marriott-run hotel on Disney property between EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, about 4 miles by road from the TTC lot (about 4.6 miles on the way back). Its guests ride the Disney buses described above, get Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours, and can buy Lightning Lane passes 7 days ahead. The daily resort service package is $50 plus tax, and hotel self-parking is $40 plus tax a day, but standard theme park parking is included. Read our Walt Disney World Dolphin review.

2. Walt Disney World Swan Reserve

The Swan Reserve is the smallest and newest of the three hotels, with 349 rooms, including 149 suites. It shares the Dolphin’s Disney buses, park perks, $50-plus-tax resort service package and parking rules. The TTC lot is about 3.7 miles away by road (about 4.3 miles on the way back). It has its own pool, and its guests can also use the Swan and Dolphin pools and beach. Read our Walt Disney World Swan Reserve review.

3. Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort

Four Seasons sits in Disney’s Golden Oak area, about 3.9 miles by road from the TTC lot (about 4.1 miles on the way back). At last check (resort pages archived in April and June 2026), complimentary coaches ran once an hour to each theme park, and Magic Kingdom guests arrived at the TTC and took a short monorail ride in. The daily schedule comes from the Disney Planning Center in the lobby. Those pages do not mention party nights, so ask before you book.

Guests get Early Theme Park Entry. Parking is valet only, for a fee, and a daily resort fee applies. Our Four Seasons Resort Orlando guide covers the fees, rooms and Explorer Island water park.

4. Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando – Disney Springs Area

Drury is the value pick. It charges no resort fee, includes a free hot breakfast and the 5:30 Kickback with hot evening snacks and cold drinks, and runs a free first-come, first-served shuttle to all four theme parks from its front entrance. Its FAQ says the shuttle runs until 90 minutes after park closing. On October’s Halloween party nights, its schedule added Magic Kingdom returns until 1:15 a.m. from TTC Lane C19, so check the weekly schedule for your Christmas party date.

The hotel says it is half a mile from Disney Springs, and it is about 6.3 miles by road from the TTC lot. Self-parking is $28 a night on its hotel information page ($25 plus tax in its FAQ), and guests get Early Theme Park Entry. Read our Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando review.

Weather on party nights

Party nights are cooler than many visitors expect. NOAA’s 1991–2020 normals for Orlando International Airport give November an average high of 78.3°F and low of 58.2°F, and December a high of 73.8°F and low of 52.9°F. Rain falls on about 6 days in November and 7 in December. Pack a light jacket and a poncho.

Tips for party night

  • Arrive at 4:00 p.m.: you get three extra hours to ride and eat before the party starts.
  • Check showtimes on the day: Disney’s party page does not list parade or fireworks times, so use the My Disney Experience app on your date.
  • Know your exit: note your hotel’s bus space at the TTC, such as Lane C19 for Drury.
  • Add other events: our Christmas in Orlando guide lists the other holiday events, including EPCOT’s Candlelight Processional and Holidays at Universal Orlando.

Frequently asked questions

How much are Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party tickets in 2026?

Disney lists 2026 tickets at $189 to $229 per person plus tax, depending on the night. Children ages 3 to 9 pay $10 less, and children under 3 do not need a ticket. The lowest prices are on November 9, 12 and 17, and the highest from December 17 to 22. Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members save $10 on select nights.

What time does Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party start and end?

The party runs from 7:00 p.m. to midnight. With a party ticket, you can enter Magic Kingdom from 4:00 p.m. on your date, without a day ticket or a park reservation. Disney’s calendar shows Magic Kingdom closing to day guests at 6:00 p.m. on all 25 party nights in 2026.

Is Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party sold out?

Not all of it. On October 26, 2026, Disney’s ticket page marked 13 of the 25 nights as sold out: November 8, 9, 12, 13, 17, 20, 24, 25 and 27, and December 1, 18, 20 and 22. The other 12 nights, from November 15 onward, were still on sale. Availability changes, so check Disney’s page first.

Do you need a park ticket for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party?

No. Disney says the date-specific party ticket does not require a day theme park ticket or a theme park reservation if you enter at 4:00 p.m. or later. To arrive earlier, you need regular park admission, and Disney’s ticket page says a Magic Kingdom park reservation may also be required. The party ticket is valid only on its date.

How do you get back to your hotel after Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party?

Disney Resort hotels use Disney buses, monorails and boats, and Disney says buses and monorails run until one hour after closing. Swan, Dolphin and Swan Reserve buses run 45 minutes after the parks close, but they leave from the TTC. Drury Plaza added shuttle returns until 1:15 a.m. on October party nights. The Holiday Inn Disney Springs shuttle does not serve the party. Otherwise, take a rideshare from the TTC.

Bottom line

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is easiest when you book a night that is still on sale and a hotel with a reliable ride back after midnight. Outside Disney’s own resorts, the Walt Disney World Dolphin and Swan Reserve put you on Disney’s buses from the TTC, and Drury Plaza’s free shuttle ran late on recent party nights. Rates vary by season, availability and how far ahead you book.
