Westgate Town Center Resort is a big timeshare villa resort in Kissimmee, about 3 miles by road from Animal Kingdom’s parking, that rents studios and one- to four-bedroom villas by the night, the largest sleeping up to 16. It shares one campus with its sister, Westgate Vacation Villas, including Shipwreck Island Water Park, 14 heated pools and the Town Hall restaurants, and self-parking is free.

The catches: a $29.99-plus-tax nightly resort fee, water park tickets on top for most guests, a 10 am checkout, no theme park shuttle on Westgate’s current pages and timeshare sales offers. We checked Westgate’s pages, the Booking.com listing and Disney’s site in October 2026; confirm anything that matters to you.

Quick answer: Book Westgate Town Center if your group needs a two-, three- or four-bedroom villa with a full kitchen and a washer-dryer a short drive from Disney, and you’ll drive to the parks. Choose Westgate Vacation Villas next door if a studio or two-bedroom is enough, Westgate Lakes if Universal comes first, and none of them if you want Disney’s Early Theme Park Entry or water park tickets in the price.

Town Center vs Vacation Villas vs Westgate Lakes

Westgate sells Town Center and Vacation Villas as two resorts with separate phone numbers and villa lists, but both pages give the same street address, and Westgate’s map labels the site “Westgate Vacation Villas & Town Center Resort.” The water park, pools, Town Hall restaurants, arcade, mini golf and ice rink serve both. The difference is the villas: Town Center’s are bigger, from a 506 sq ft studio to four-bedrooms for 16.

All three charged the same $29.99-plus-tax resort fee at the time of writing. Our Westgate Vacation Villas review covers the smaller villas next door, and our Westgate Lakes Resort review covers the Universal-side sister with its own water park.

Westgate Town Center Resort location and distances

The campus sits southwest of Walt Disney World, around several small lakes, and no park is walkable. Westgate lists Walt Disney World 7.8 miles away, SeaWorld 11.7, Universal 15.3 and the airport 23.9. Booking.com’s description says one mile from Walt Disney World, but the nearest theme park lot is about 3 miles by road. Our OSRM routes to each park’s parking area, without traffic:

The short Animal Kingdom route takes Entry Point Boulevard and Sherberth Road, a back way onto Disney property; the longer one uses US-192 and World Drive. At the Magic Kingdom you park at the Transportation and Ticket Center and continue by monorail or ferry, and the fastest airport route uses the tolled Beachline Expressway. Villas: sizes, beds and kitchens

The Deluxe Studio and the standard One-Bedroom Villa have a kitchenette with a microwave, toaster, coffee maker and mini fridge; from the One-Bedroom Grand up you get a full kitchen with a dishwasher and a balcony or patio. Westgate lists a washer-dryer in every type except the studio.

Four-Bedroom Deluxe2,403 sq ft16King, 2 queens, 2 doubles, 3 queen sleepers
Four-Bedroom Presidential2,874 sq ft164 kings, 4 queen sleepers

For two couples, the Two-Bedroom Grand is the better layout, with two kings and two private bathrooms. The primary bathroom in the Grand and multi-bedroom villas has a jetted tub and walk-in shower. The three-bedroom adds a kitchenette and lists three full bathrooms (its description says four). The Four-Bedroom Deluxe has a full kitchen and two kitchenettes; for the Presidential, the feature list shows one kitchen and two kitchenettes but the description says two full kitchens, so ask.

Top occupancy counts every sleeper sofa: a 16-guest four-bedroom puts six people on three sofa beds. Westgate’s room comparison tool shows lower figures (8 for the four-bedroom), and Booking.com lists different beds, such as a bunk bed in the two-bedroom and a full bed in the studio. Westgate says rollaways and extra beds aren’t available, Booking.com says the same for cribs, and housekeeping is weekly. Compare other big units in our 2- and 3-bedroom suites near Disney World and Orlando resorts for large groups.

Pools and Shipwreck Island Water Park

Westgate lists 14 heated outdoor pools and 14 hot tubs (the overview’s list says 13), plus children’s wading pools, open 8 am to 10 pm daily, weather permitting, with lifts for guests with limited mobility. In October 2026 the resort calendar listed rolling closures, one pool per day on set dates through October 30. The overview counts six poolside bars, and the bars page lists noon to 6 pm.

Shipwreck Island is a two-level, pirate-themed water park. Black Beard’s Pirate Ship, a water playground with slides, water cannons and a dumping bucket, anchors the upper level, where a lazy river circles the deck. Cannon Ball Falls has two enclosed tube slides, Pirate’s Plunge is a see-through drop slide (48-inch minimum), and Paradise Cove on the lower level is the kiddie area.

Posted hours were 11 am to 6 pm daily, weather permitting, and the park closes for lightning. Outside food, coolers and floats aren’t allowed, and the bars inside need admission. Admission isn’t included for most guests: the admissions page lists $25 per person per day, children under 3 free and $18.75 for members of Westgate’s free WOW loyalty program. The resort FAQ still says $20, and Booking.com lists $20 per person per night, so budget for $25 and confirm.

Westgate’s direct “Splash” offer adds two free tickets on stays of two nights or more but excludes third-party reservations such as Booking.com.

Arcade, mini golf, ice rink and other recreation

The big indoor draw is Mystery Fun House Arcade Experience, powered by Chuck E. Cheese, in the Town Hall: an 8,000 sq ft arcade with bowling and the MEGAbites food hall, plus a mirror maze and sports simulators on the resort map. Play costs extra.

Outside are an 18-hole, dinosaur-themed mini golf course by the lake, the WestSkate synthetic ice rink (ages 3 and up), swan boats, rental bikes, tennis, basketball, sand volleyball, playgrounds and a dog park. A free movie theater in the Town Hall screens family movies, and a resort train loops the grounds every 25 minutes from 10 am to 6 pm, Friday to Sunday.

Check what you’ll pay. Westgate’s terms say Town Center’s resort fee includes mini golf, the movie theater, bike rentals and sports courts at Vacation Villas, reached by an internal shuttle. Yet the activity calendar we checked on October 14, 2026 listed $9 guest prices for mini golf and bikes, $5 for skating and $10 or $14 for swan boats. Ask at check-in.

Dining and breakfast

Breakfast isn’t included, according to the resort’s FAQ, but every villa from the One-Bedroom Grand up has a full kitchen. The Marketplace sells groceries, snacks and fresh meals; Town Center’s Marketplace page lists 8 am to 9 pm daily, but its dining calendar and Vacation Villas’ page list 10 am to 7 pm. The resort map also shows Viva Coffee in the Town Hall.

Los Amigos Mexican Grill & Tequila Bar was listed from noon to 9 pm Monday to Saturday and 10 am to 9 pm Sunday, with brunch until 2 pm. Sid’s American Kitchen serves burgers and comfort food from noon to 10 pm, Wednesday to Sunday. MEGAbites has pizza and chicken bites, and Sweet Dreamery sells candy, mini doughnuts and ice cream. Hours change.

Ignore older names: the breakfast FAQ still mentions Drafts Sports Bar & Grill, an overview blurb names Sid’s Bistro and Cordovano Joe’s Pizza, and Booking.com shows Drafts and a nearby Villa Italiano Chophouse. None appears on Westgate’s current dining list.

Resort fee, parking and house rules

The resort fee is $29.99 plus tax per villa per night. Westgate’s terms say it covers Wi-Fi, the fitness center, local calls, the in-room safe and boarding pass printing, plus the Vacation Villas amenities above. One FAQ answer still says guests pay a “nominal fee” for Wi-Fi, so confirm it’s included. Osceola County’s hotel taxes, 13.5% at our last check, come on top; our guide to Orlando resort fees explains these charges.

Self-parking is free for standard cars and small to mid-size SUVs, first come, first served; RVs, trucks, trailers and oversized vehicles can’t be accommodated. The overview also lists an electric car charging station.

Check-in is at 4 pm, checkout by 10 am, and you must be 21 to check in. Westgate takes a $50 card hold for incidentals, released 5 to 14 business days after you leave; it also lists a $200 cash option, but Booking.com says cash isn’t accepted. Up to two dogs with a combined 60 pounds are allowed, with breed limits, for $150 plus tax per reservation, and smoking or vaping in a villa costs a $250 cleaning fee.

Getting to Disney, Universal and SeaWorld

Westgate’s current pages advertise no theme park shuttle. The overview’s transportation section lists only parking and car charging, and the FAQ link titled “Does Westgate Town Center have a shuttle” now opens the general FAQ, although older text in the page code still promises a complimentary Disney, Universal and SeaWorld shuttle. The last archived version of that answer (January 2021) said the resort doesn’t offer theme park transportation, and the terms mention only an internal shuttle to the Vacation Villas amenities. Ask the resort before you skip a rental car.

Most guests drive. Disney’s standard theme park parking is $35 a day, and Universal’s was $35 including tax at last check. The resort isn’t on Disney’s Early Theme Park Entry list (checked in October 2026), and its guests can buy Lightning Lane passes 3 days ahead rather than the 7 days Disney Resort guests get; see our list of non-Disney hotels with Early Theme Park Entry. Westgate lists no airport shuttle, so plan on a rideshare, taxi or rental car.

Fitness center, Wi-Fi and other amenities

The fitness center across from the Pavilion was listed from 7 am to 8 pm on the campus activity calendar. Some page titles say “Resort & Spa,” but Town Center’s amenity list includes no spa. You also get a 24-hour front desk, concierge and ticket help, a guest laundry, paid swim lessons, a gift shop and scooter rentals at $40 a day.

Who Westgate Town Center suits

It suits multigenerational families, reunions and groups of 8 to 16 with a car who plan mostly Disney days and want rest days with a water park, an arcade and plenty of pools. Our guide to Orlando timeshare resorts you can rent by the night compares similar villa resorts. It’s a weaker fit for couples after a quiet, upscale hotel, travelers without a car and Universal-first trips.

What to check before you book

  • Your villa: match the Booking.com room name to Westgate’s villa type, then check beds, bathrooms and maximum occupancy.
  • Total price: add the resort fee, Osceola County taxes, water park tickets and any dog fee.
  • Transport: ask whether any park shuttle runs on your dates.
  • Babies: Booking.com says cribs aren’t available, so ask the resort or pack a travel crib.

Frequently asked questions

Is Westgate Town Center the same as Westgate Vacation Villas?

No, but they share one campus. Westgate lists them as separate resorts with their own villa types and phone numbers, and they share the water park, 14 pools, the Town Hall restaurants and the arcade. Town Center has the bigger villas, from a 506 sq ft studio to four-bedrooms for 16, while Vacation Villas tops out at a two-bedroom loft for 10.

Does Westgate Town Center have a shuttle to Disney World?

Not that we could confirm. Older text on Westgate’s site promised a complimentary shuttle to Disney, Universal and SeaWorld, but the current overview lists only parking and car charging, the shuttle FAQ link redirects, and the last archived version of that answer (January 2021) said there was no theme park transportation. Call the resort before you skip a rental car, and expect to drive about 3 to 8 miles to the Disney parks.

Is Shipwreck Island Water Park included at Westgate Town Center?

Not on most rates. The admissions page lists $25 per person per day, children under 3 free and $18.75 for WOW loyalty members, while the resort FAQ and Booking.com still show $20. Westgate’s direct Splash offer adds two free tickets on stays of two nights or more, but it excludes third-party bookings such as Booking.com.

How many people can stay in a four-bedroom villa at Westgate Town Center?

Up to 16, according to Westgate’s accommodations page. The 2,403 sq ft Four-Bedroom Deluxe has a king, two queens, two doubles and three queen sleeper sofas; the 2,874 sq ft Presidential has four kings and four queen sleepers. Every person counts, including babies, and rollaways aren’t available, so check the beds on your Booking.com room before you pay.

Do you have to attend a timeshare presentation at Westgate Town Center?

Only if you book a resort preview package. Westgate’s booking box offers up to 40% off for taking a “resort preview,” and its terms say those packages require a 90-minute discovery tour and sales presentation, with age and other qualifications. A regular nightly rate, including one booked on Booking.com, isn’t a preview package.

Bottom line

Westgate Town Center Resort gives big families real villa space, up to four bedrooms for 16, with full kitchens, free parking and a water park and arcade on the shared campus near Animal Kingdom. Budget for the resort fee, water park tickets and taxes, plan to drive, and confirm beds and any shuttle directly. Rates vary by season, availability and how far ahead you book.
