The Drury Plaza is a 602-room, smoke-free hotel beside Lake Buena Vista. Its information page states there is no resort fee, and self-parking is $28 per night. Every room has a microwave, a refrigerator, a coffee maker and a safe.

Wyndham Lake Buena Vista: the tower closest to Disney Springs
Wyndham Lake Buena Vista is the 19-story tower at 1850 Hotel Plaza Boulevard, with 232 lake house-themed rooms. It shares its pools, restaurants and shuttle with Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista, whose 394 rooms fill a five-story courtyard-style building and are booked separately. Both use the same pedestrian bridge to Disney Springs.
The $36 + tax resort fee covers premium Wi-Fi, the fridge and safe, the recreation areas, 10% off at the poolside Oasis Restaurant, 50% off Walt Disney World Golf rental equipment and a coupon book. The Wyndham Lake Buena Vista review covers the tower in detail.
Book it if:
- You want a 12-minute walk to Disney Springs over the pedestrian bridge beside the front entrance.
- You want a Disney View room in the 19-story tower.

Location: the Wyndham is a quarter mile closer to Disney Springs
The Wyndham is the shorter walk by about 0.27 mile. OpenStreetMap foot routing measured about 0.55 mile (12 minutes) from the Wyndham to the Rainforest Cafe at the Marketplace end of Disney Springs and about 0.8 mile (18 minutes) from the Drury. The Wyndham quotes a 5-to-7-minute walk; Drury’s pages say 0.5 to 0.8 mile.
The Drury narrows the gap with a free Disney Springs bus. Its schedule for October 26 to November 1, 2026 listed 11 departures from 9:55 a.m. to 7:40 p.m., with returns from 2:00 p.m. to 10:45 p.m. The Wyndham runs no Disney Springs bus.

These are rounded OSRM road distances from each hotel to each park’s guest parking; return drives from Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom ran 1 to 2 miles longer. The router sends Drury traffic to Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom via I-4, which explains most of the one-mile gap. Neither hotel runs an airport shuttle; both point guests to Mears, taxis or rideshare.
Rooms: the Drury sleeps more, the Wyndham sells the view
The Drury fits bigger groups. King rooms sleep three and two-queen rooms five (not counting a child in a crib), with terrace versions of both. The two-room suites put the bedroom behind a door and add a queen sofa sleeper: the King Suite sleeps five and the Queen Suite six.
Booking.com lists most of the Drury’s standard rooms at 28 square meters (about 300 square feet), rooms with a sofa bed at 33 (about 355) and most suites at 37 (about 400). Some Booking.com room names mention fireworks views; the hotel’s own site sells no view categories.
The hotel’s own site lists four tower categories: Disney View Two Queen Beds, Disney View King with a sofa bed, Tower Two Queen Beds (some with lake views) and an accessible two-queen room. Wyndham’s brand page also sells lake-view rooms and gives 312 square feet, with a capacity of 4 for two queens and 3 for the lake-view king. Booking.com showed the King Room with Disney View for 4 adults on a December 2026 search, so check the occupancy on your rate.
Wyndham rooms have a refrigerator with a freezer but no microwave (one is in the Sundial 24-7 market), and no rollaways or cots. The Drury rents rollaways for $15 a day plus tax. Both lend Pack ‘n Plays free, although the Drury’s Booking.com house rules say cribs and extra beds are not available, so confirm.

Pools and recreation: one lakeside deck against a pool complex
The Wyndham has more pools. Its Oasis Aquatic Pool Area has a 189,000-gallon heated pool under a rock waterfall, a smaller cool-down pool, an elevated hot tub overlooking the lake and a zero-entry pool playground. The area is open 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. It also serves Wyndham Garden, so about 626 rooms share it.
The Drury’s lakeside deck covers 20,000 square feet, with a saltwater pool its FAQ says is heated year-round, a whirlpool and a kids’ splash zone with water cannons. It is open 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., an hour later than the Wyndham’s, and both the pool and the spa have a lift or other accessible entry.
Both have an arcade and a fitness center (24 hours at the Drury); the Wyndham adds basketball and sand volleyball courts.
Breakfast and dining: included at the Drury, paid at the Wyndham
Food is the largest difference. Every Drury guest gets the hot breakfast (scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal and Mickey waffles), all-day coffee, free popcorn and soft drinks from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and the Kickback, where guests 21 and over get three free alcoholic drinks. On Booking.com, breakfast showed as included on the Drury’s own rates for both sample stays.
Paid Drury options are the Kitchen + Bar, the Lakeside Bar & Grill, a Coffee Bar serving Starbucks drinks, the Market Place and Pizza Hut Express. Its pages disagree on hours: the Lakeside Bar & Grill closes at 10:00 p.m. on the food page but 7:00 p.m. in the FAQ.
At the Wyndham, the LakeView Restaurant serves a breakfast buffet with Mickey waffles from 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Joffrey’s Coffee Shop sells breakfast sandwiches, Sundial 24-7 has grab-and-go food around the clock, the Oasis Restaurant serves lunch and dinner from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and the Eclipse Lounge opens from 5:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
Booking.com priced the Wyndham’s breakfast at US$28 per person per night on both samples.
Disney park shuttles: walk-on schedule against a reserved hourly bus
Both shuttles are free and serve Magic Kingdom (via the Transportation and Ticket Center), EPCOT, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom.

Drury Plaza: seats are first come, first served under the front canopy. The hotel describes hourly service, but its schedule for October 26 to November 1, 2026 listed 18 daily departures to Magic Kingdom (7:10 a.m. to 7:50 p.m.), 16 to EPCOT, 15 to Hollywood Studios and 13 to Animal Kingdom, the first at 6:45 a.m. Magic Kingdom returns ran until 11:40 p.m., and until 1:15 a.m. on Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party nights. It also listed one Blizzard Beach run (9:15 a.m., back 5:50 p.m.).
Wyndham Lake Buena Vista: the operator, Fabulous Buses, takes online reservations up to 7 days ahead, free with a promo code from the front desk. Its calendar for Thursday, November 12, 2026, checked on October 30, listed hourly departures from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. to Magic Kingdom, to 7:00 p.m. to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, and to 4:00 p.m. to Animal Kingdom. Returns run hourly until about 90 minutes after closing.
That day, Disney’s calendar showed Early Entry at 8:30 a.m. at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT and Hollywood Studios and 7:30 a.m. at Animal Kingdom, so the 7:00 a.m. Wyndham buses arrive in time. It was also a Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party night: the Wyndham’s shuttle does not serve after-hours events, while Drury’s brand page offers free late-night rides back from select special events at Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios.
Early Theme Park Entry and other Disney perks: identical
Disney’s Early Theme Park Entry page lists both hotels by name. Guests get 30 minutes of early entry at any theme park, every day of the stay, including check-in and check-out days, through 2027. You need valid admission and a MagicBand, MagicMobile pass or Key to the World Card. The full list of non-Disney hotels with Early Theme Park Entry covers the other 13.
For Booking.com guests, linking can differ: Drury’s Disney page lists “Direct Bookings Linkable in My Disney Experience”, but its FAQ says the front desk also issues Early Entry vouchers. The Wyndham says to link with the confirmation number and last name.
Both hotels get the 3-day Lightning Lane window; Disney’s 7-day window covers Disney Resort hotels and four other select hotels, not these two. Neither gets Extended Evening Hours or free theme park parking (Disney’s standard parking is $35 a day).
True nightly cost: fees, parking and perks
The Wyndham’s mandatory fee adds $40.50 a night: $36 plus Orange County’s 12.5% hotel tax ($36 × 1.125 = $40.50). Booking.com’s January 12 to 14, 2027 breakdown matched: a US$81 resort-fee line for two nights ($40.50 × 2) plus 12.5% tax on the room. The Drury’s line was the 12.5% tax only, plus a US$50 refundable damage deposit.
- Drury Plaza: your rate + $0 resort fee + $28 parking = rate + $28 per night with a car, or rate + $0 without one.
- Wyndham Lake Buena Vista: your rate + $40.50 resort fee + $30 parking = rate + $70.50 per night with a car, plus tax on the parking; rate + $40.50 without one.
- Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista: the same fee and parking as the tower.
Breakfast tips the balance. At Booking.com’s add-on price of US$28 per person, breakfast for two adults costs $56 a night at the Wyndham. With a car, that makes rate + $126.50 plus parking tax ($70.50 + $56), against rate + $28 at the Drury: a gap of $98.50 a night, or $394 over four nights ($98.50 × 4). The Kickback has no published price and is not counted.
Shuttles and Early Entry cancel out, and driving to the parks costs Disney’s $35 a day from either hotel. One conflict: Drury’s brand and information pages say $28 per night for parking, while its FAQ still says $25 + tax, so confirm at check-in.
Room rates decide the rest (re-checked October 30, 2026). On the January sample for two adults, the Wyndham’s total came in below the Drury’s but ended higher once breakfast for two was added. On a December 7 to 9, 2026 sample for four adults, the Wyndham stayed lower even with breakfast for four, helped by a 15% “Late Escape Deal” that Booking.com showed on its rates in both samples.
