Universal Aventura Hotel is the 600-room glass tower in the middle of Universal Orlando Resort’s price range, part of its Prime Value tier. You get the same Early Park Admission as every Universal hotel guest, free shuttles to CityWalk and Epic Universe, a private walking path to Volcano Bay and a rooftop bar that looks out over the parks. You don’t get Universal Express, a water taxi or big rooms.
This guide covers the rooms, perks, transport and fees listed on the official Loews and Universal pages. One thing matters for trips this fall and winter: Volcano Bay closes for the season on October 26, 2026, and the hotel’s walking path to the water park closes with it. Universal and Booking.com still use the name “Universal’s Aventura Hotel” in many places. It’s the same property.
If you are still comparing every on-site option, start with our guide to all the hotels near Universal Studios Orlando.
Quick answer: Book Aventura if you are a couple, a group of friends or a family of up to four who want a modern on-site hotel with Early Park Admission and don’t want to pay Signature Collection rates. A family of five fits in one room only if you get a Kids’ Suite, and the hotel has very few suites. If you want Express Unlimited included, you need Hard Rock Hotel, Loews Portofino Bay or Loews Royal Pacific instead.

Location and getting to the parks
Aventura sits on the Volcano Bay side of the resort, next to Loews Sapphire Falls Resort and beside Cabana Bay. You don’t need a car. Universal’s transportation guide says Aventura’s shuttle bus arrives about every 15 minutes and puts most rides at 10 to 20 minutes. Buses go to Epic Universe and to the CityWalk hub, and from CityWalk you walk to Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure.
| Where you’re going | Best way from Aventura | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure | Free shuttle to the CityWalk hub, or walk | Walk is about 20 to 25 min to CityWalk, then a few minutes to the gates |
| Epic Universe | Dedicated free shuttle | About 10 to 20 min per Universal; allow more in traffic |
| Volcano Bay | Private walking path (room key needed) | Under 5 min on foot; closed from Oct 26, 2026 until spring 2027 |
The walking route, often called the Garden Walkway, passes Sapphire Falls and enters CityWalk by a side entrance. Orlando Informer puts it at about 1.5 miles and 20 to 25 minutes, which feels long after a full park day, so many families ride the bus back. Orlando Informer reports that the shuttles start one hour before Early Park Admission and run until about 2 a.m. Hours can change, so confirm current times at the front desk.
Aventura has no water taxi. Universal’s water taxis leave only from Portofino Bay, Hard Rock, Royal Pacific and Sapphire Falls, and they don’t go to Volcano Bay or Epic Universe. For Epic Universe, the shuttle is the only free option. If you plan several days there, compare our Stella Nova vs Terra Luna guide. Those are the two Prime Value hotels right next to the new park.
The Volcano Bay closure (October 2026 to spring 2027)
The private path to Volcano Bay is one of Aventura’s best features, and it will be out of use for most of the off-season. At the time of writing, Loews says Volcano Bay closes for the season on October 26, 2026 and is expected to reopen on or before April 1, 2027, and the path is unavailable during the closure. If your dates fall in that window, treat Aventura as a shuttle hotel. Check Universal’s calendar before you book: the reopening date has already moved once, from an earlier target of March 24, 2027.
Theme park perks: Early Park Admission, but no Express
As a Universal Orlando hotel guest, you can enter a theme park up to one hour before regular opening with your room key and a valid ticket. Early Park Admission covers select attractions only. Universal decides whether it applies at Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure or both. It can also apply at Epic Universe and, weather permitting, at Volcano Bay when it’s open. You need a Park-to-Park ticket to ride the Hogwarts Express. For strategy by park, see our guide to how Universal Early Park Admission works.
| Benefit | At Aventura? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Early Park Admission | Yes | Select attractions; valid ticket required |
| Free shuttle buses | Yes | CityWalk and Epic Universe; walk to Volcano Bay |
| Charge purchases to your room | Yes | Resort-wide with your room key |
| Free merchandise delivery | Yes | Select park shops; ends 5 p.m.; not on check-out day |
| Universal Express Unlimited | No | Hard Rock, Portofino Bay and Royal Pacific only |
The Express gap matters most on busy dates. Even at those three hotels, Express Unlimited works only at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, not at Epic Universe or Volcano Bay. Priority Seating at select restaurants is limited to the same three hotels. If you want to know whether paying more for one of them is worth it, read our breakdown of Universal hotels with Express Pass.
Rooms and suites: modern, bright and small
The rooms are minimalist: white walls, dark floors, large windows and an in-room tablet that controls many of the room’s features. Every room lists a mini refrigerator, a coffee maker, a safe, a flat-panel TV and free Wi-Fi. Loews’ room descriptions also mention separate bath and vanity areas. That helps in the mornings when several people need to get ready at once.

Size is the trade-off. Here are the official dimensions and occupancy for each category:
| Room type | Size | Beds | Sleeps |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard King | 238 sq ft | 1 king + sleeper sofa | 4 |
| Standard 2 Queen | 314 sq ft | 2 queens | 4 |
| Skyline View 2 Queen | 314 sq ft | 2 queens, highest floors | 4 |
| Deluxe King or 2 Queen | 395 sq ft | 1 king + sleeper sofa, or 2 queens | 4 |
| Kids’ Suite | 575 sq ft | 1 king, 2 twins, sleeper sofa | 5 |
| Kids’ Suite + 2-Queen bedroom | 889 sq ft | Adds a bedroom with 2 queens | 9 |
The Standard King, at 238 sq ft, is small for four people even with the sleeper sofa. It works best for a couple or a parent with one child. The Standard 2 Queen room suits two adults and two young kids who mostly sleep there. For four adults, or a stroller and a week of luggage, the Deluxe room’s extra 81 sq ft is worth the step up. Skyline View rooms are on the tower’s highest floors, facing the resort or the Orlando skyline. They are the same size as standard queen rooms, so you pay for the view, not the space.

The Kids’ Suite is the hotel’s family option. It has a king bed and sleeper sofa for the adults and a separate interior area with two twin beds for the kids, so younger children can sleep while the adults stay up. The larger version adds a second bedroom with two queens and sleeps 9. At the time of writing, Loews lists only 11 suites in the whole building, so book early, especially for school holidays. If you are five or six and can’t get one, see our guide to rooms that sleep 5 or 6 at Disney World and Universal.
Accessible rooms come in the standard, deluxe and Skyline View categories, with roll-in showers or ADA tubs and hearing-accessible features. Complimentary Pack ‘n Plays are available on request.
Pool, fitness center and amenities
Loews lists a pool, a kids’ splash zone and a fire pit, and Universal’s own Aventura guide adds a hot tub. Bar Sol serves frozen drinks, cocktails, beer and wine poolside. No water slide or lazy river is listed. If those matter to your kids, Cabana Bay next door has two large pools with a waterslide and a lazy river.

- Fitness center: Free for hotel guests.
- Wi-Fi: Free in rooms and most public areas.
- Car rental: An Avis desk in the lobby, open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily at the time of writing.
- Shopping: A Universal Studios Store in the lobby sells toiletries, tees, toys and other essentials.
- Check-in: 4 p.m., with mobile check-in through the Universal Orlando Resort app for reservations booked directly with Loews and linked to a Universal account. You still pick up keys at the front desk.
Dining: a food hall, a rooftop bar and a lobby bar
Most meals happen at Urban Pantry, the hotel’s food hall. It has four stations themed after Asian and European food halls and serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. You can eat inside or take your food out to the pool.
Bar 17 Bistro, on the roof of the tower, is the hotel’s standout. Loews describes it as a rooftop bar and grill with a Korean-inspired menu, some familiar favorites and custom cocktails and mocktails, all with views across the resort. You must be 21 or older with a valid photo ID to buy alcohol. Loews says hours are subject to change, so check on arrival.

barVentura, the lobby bar, is a relaxed spot before or after dinner, and a Starbucks in the lobby covers early coffee.

For a sit-down dinner, Sapphire Falls is a short walk away, and CityWalk’s restaurants are a shuttle ride away. If you like themed hotels with a story behind them, Aventura’s clean, modern design will feel plain next to Portofino Bay or Cabana Bay.

Frequently asked questions
Does Universal Aventura Hotel include Express Pass?
No. Free Universal Express Unlimited is only for guests of Hard Rock Hotel, Loews Portofino Bay Hotel and Loews Royal Pacific Resort, and it works only at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure. You can buy Express separately, and you still get Early Park Admission, free shuttles, room charging and free merchandise delivery to the hotel.
Can you walk to the parks from Aventura Hotel?
Yes, but it isn’t short. A walking path past Sapphire Falls reaches CityWalk in about 20 to 25 minutes, according to Orlando Informer, then you walk a few more minutes to Universal Studios Florida or Islands of Adventure. Many guests use the free shuttle, which Universal says arrives about every 15 minutes. The private path to Volcano Bay is closed during the park’s seasonal closure.
Do Aventura guests get Early Park Admission at Epic Universe?
Yes. Early Park Admission for Universal hotel guests covers Epic Universe as well as Universal Studios Florida and/or Islands of Adventure, as determined by Universal. It starts up to one hour before regular opening at select attractions, and you need your room key plus valid park admission. Universal puts its hotel shuttle rides at about 10 to 20 minutes, depending on traffic.
Is there a resort fee or parking fee at Universal Aventura Hotel?
The official hotel pages list no resort fee. At the time of writing, overnight self-parking is $30 plus tax per vehicle per night, and there is a $20 charge for each adult beyond two in a room. Hotel tax is added to the room rate. Fees change, so check current terms when you book.
How many people can stay in a room at Aventura?
Standard, deluxe and Skyline View rooms sleep up to 4. The Standard King (238 sq ft) is the smallest, and the Deluxe rooms (395 sq ft) are the largest standard option. The Kids’ Suite sleeps 5, with a separate twin-bed area for kids, and the Kids’ Suite plus a 2-queen bedroom sleeps 9. Suites are limited, so book early.
Is Universal Aventura Hotel good for families?
It is a good fit for families of up to four who spend long days in the parks and don’t need a themed pool. The splash zone, food hall and Kids’ Suites help. Families who want a waterslide, a lazy river or a suite with a kitchenette usually do better at Cabana Bay. Families who want Express included need Hard Rock, Portofino Bay or Royal Pacific.
