The cheap hotels on International Drive that save you the most are the ones that strip out the extras: no resort fee, low or capped parking, a free breakfast or a free shuttle to Universal. I-Drive runs from the outlets near Universal past ICON Park, Pointe Orlando, the Orange County Convention Center and SeaWorld, and budget hotels line most of it, with the I-RIDE Trolley passing their doors.
Below are nine budget-friendly hotels on International Drive or a short walk from it, from north to south, with each one’s own fees, parking, breakfast and shuttle rules. We don’t quote room rates, which change by season and day. For upscale and resort picks, see our guide to the best hotels on International Drive.
Quick answer: For the lowest add-on costs, book one of the three Rosen Inns (Closest to Universal, International or at Pointe Orlando): no resort fee, parking capped at $50 per car per stay and free Universal and Epic Universe shuttles. For included breakfast, pick the Fairfield Inn & Suites by ICON Park or the Hampton Inn near the Convention Center. Families who want a kitchen should look at Sonesta ES Suites, and SeaWorld fans at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Orlando at SeaWorld.

How we chose these cheap I-Drive hotels
Every hotel has an International Drive address or sits on Universal Boulevard, a block east. We kept only hotels whose fees we could confirm on official pages (Marriott and Hilton via dated archived copies). Our criteria:
- Location: on or near I-Drive, with road distances (OSRM) to the parks’ parking areas, not straight lines.
- Verified savings: no or low resort fee, free or cheap parking, free breakfast, or a free or fee-included park shuttle.
- Transport: Universal shuttles, Disney options and I-RIDE Trolley access.
We don’t use review scores or star ratings, and we don’t claim stays. Fees were checked in October 2026 and can change.

Rooms are in a tower or a wing with outdoor corridors, and the hotel says some tower rooms look toward Volcano Bay.
Facilities are basic: one seasonally heated pool, an arcade, a gym and a 24/7 mini-market, and every room has a mini-fridge and microwave. At the Palms Dining Room breakfast buffet, one child 5 and under eats free per paying adult ($14.95 for adults at last check).

Epic Universe’s parking entrance is about 2.4 miles by road, one of the shortest drives on this list. Hilton highlights free hot breakfast, an outdoor pool and pet-friendly rooms.

How to choose a cheap hotel on I-Drive
- Add up the fixed extras: resort fee, parking and 12.5% hotel tax decide your real nightly cost. The Rosen Inns charge no resort fee and cap parking at $50 per car; Avanti’s and Sonesta’s fees include parking and shuttles; the Fairfield and Hampton hotels charge for parking but include breakfast. See our list of Orlando hotels with no resort fees.
- Decide whether you’ll have a car: if you’ll drive to Disney, the beaches or the outlets, parking matters most. The Days Inn’s is free and the Hampton’s is $10 plus tax; our guide to Orlando hotels with free parking has more. Without a car, pick a hotel with a free Universal shuttle.
- Match the stretch to your parks: the north end is closest to Universal’s garages, the ICON Park and Convention Center hotels sit between Universal, Epic Universe and SeaWorld, and the SeaWorld end is nearest Disney. Universal charged $35 a day to park, tax included, at last check, so each day on a free shuttle saves that fee.
- Read the shuttle fine print: partner-hotel shuttles run at fixed times and need a reservation, often in person a day ahead.
- Compare Universal’s own value hotels: the cheapest Universal Orlando hotels include Early Park Admission but charge for overnight parking. For budget stays in Kissimmee or Lake Buena Vista, see our roundup of cheap hotels in Orlando.
Getting around I-Drive on the I-RIDE Trolley
The I-RIDE Trolley runs daily from 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. The Red Line covers International Drive from Orlando International Premium Outlets, past SeaWorld, to Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets about every 20 minutes. The Green Line serves Major, Universal and Westwood boulevards about every 45 minutes, and transfers are free.
At the time of writing, a single ride costs $2 in exact cash ($1 for children 3 to 9 with a paying adult, free under 3, $0.25 for seniors 65 and over), and unlimited passes run from $8 for one day to $22 for 14 consecutive days; passes aren’t sold on board. Use it for restaurants, ICON Park, Pointe Orlando and SeaWorld; for Universal, Epic Universe and Disney, rely on a hotel shuttle, rideshare or car. Our guide to getting around Orlando without a car covers buses and airport transfers too.

Frequently asked questions
Which hotels on International Drive have no resort fee?
All three Rosen Inns on I-Drive say they charge no resort fee, and their parking is $10 a night, tax included, capped at $50 per car. The Fairfield, Hampton Inn and Days Inn pages listed no resort fee when we checked. Avanti ($18) and Sonesta ($17) charge one, plus tax, but it includes parking and shuttles.
Do cheap International Drive hotels have free shuttles to Universal?
Yes. The three Rosen Inns run free scheduled shuttles to Universal’s original parks and Epic Universe, and the Fairfield near ICON Park has a free Universal shuttle that runs only from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Avanti and Sonesta fold theirs into the resort fee, while the Hampton Inn charges. Most need a reservation, often in person.
Which International Drive hotels include free breakfast?
On this list, the Fairfield Inn & Suites near ICON Park, the Hampton Inn near the Convention Center and the Fairfield Inn & Suites at SeaWorld include a free hot breakfast. The Rosen Inns sell buffet breakfasts instead, with one free buffet for a child 5 and under per paying adult. Sonesta and Avanti have cafes where breakfast costs extra.
Is parking free at hotels on International Drive?
Usually not. Here, only the Days Inn lists free parking. The Rosen Inns charge $10 a night, tax included, up to $50 per car, and the Hampton Inn $10 plus tax. The Fairfield near ICON Park was $16 a day and the Fairfield at SeaWorld $20 at last check, while Avanti and Sonesta include parking in their resort fees.
Can you stay on International Drive without a car?
Yes, if most park days are at Universal, Epic Universe or SeaWorld. Pick a hotel with a free or fee-included shuttle and use the I-RIDE Trolley for dinners and attractions ($2 a ride, $8 for a day pass). Disney is harder: on this list only Sonesta and Avanti clearly include Disney shuttles in their fees, and the Rosen Inns’ Disney buses cost extra.
Bottom line
For the smallest bill, the three Rosen Inns are the cheap hotels on International Drive to beat: no resort fee, capped parking and free Universal and Epic Universe shuttles. Choose the Fairfield or Hampton Inn for free breakfast, Sonesta for a kitchen, Avanti for a resort-style pool on a budget and the Fairfield at SeaWorld if SeaWorld or Disney comes first. Confirm fees and shuttle times before you book. See current rates at Rosen Inn International.
