The Hilton hotels near Universal Orlando worth booking fall into three groups: the DoubleTree on Major Boulevard, the only one you can comfortably walk from; a cluster of Hampton, Homewood, Home2 and Hilton Garden Inn hotels about 1.2 to 1.7 road miles from Universal’s garages; and two resorts closer to Epic Universe. This guide compares eight Hilton-family hotels within about 6 road miles of Universal’s parking garages, with the Hilton brand named for each.
Most of the closer ones are Universal Partner Hotels with a scheduled Universal shuttle, and three include both breakfast and parking. The two resorts add a daily resort fee. Facts come from Hilton’s pages (archived February to June 2026 copies, since hilton.com blocks automated access), the hotels’ own sites and Booking.com listings checked in October 2026; distances are our own road routes.
Hilton Honors points and member perks apply only to bookings made directly with Hilton, not on Booking.com. Rates vary by season, availability and how far ahead you book.
Quick answer: To walk to the parks, book the DoubleTree by Hilton at the Entrance to Universal Orlando, about 0.9 mile on foot from CityWalk. For the fewest add-ons, the Hampton Inn Closest to Universal, Homewood Suites and Home2 Suites list free breakfast, parking and a scheduled Universal shuttle, and the two suite hotels add kitchens. For Epic Universe and a big pool, pick Hilton Orlando ($47-plus-tax resort charge) or the DoubleTree Orlando Theme Park Resort ($25-plus-tax resort fee). None gets Universal’s Early Park Admission.

How we chose these Hilton hotels near Universal Orlando
We looked at every Hilton brand around Universal and the north end of International Drive and kept eight hotels that pass four tests:
- Location: within about 6 road miles of Universal’s parking garages, measured on public roads with OpenStreetMap routing (OSRM, October 2026).
- Verified amenities: breakfast, pools, kitchens and room occupancy as listed by Hilton or the hotel.
- Value: parking and resort fees from Hilton’s pages, checked against Booking.com’s price for a sample November 2026 night.
- Transport: whether the hotel runs a Universal shuttle, which parks it serves and how you book it.
We haven’t stayed at these hotels, and we don’t score them or quote room rates. Our best hotels near Universal Studios Orlando guide sets them beside Universal’s own hotels and other brands, and our guide to Marriott hotels near Universal Orlando covers the Bonvoy hotels on the same streets.

1. DoubleTree by Hilton at the Entrance to Universal Orlando

This 742-room DoubleTree on Major Boulevard is the Hilton to pick if you want to walk. Our route to the middle of CityWalk is about 0.9 mile, roughly 20 minutes on sidewalks along Major and Universal Boulevards, and about a mile to the Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure entrances. Hilton’s own figure, 0.5 mile, is shorter than any walking route.
It’s a full-service hotel with a heated junior Olympic-size pool, a kids’ pool and a splash pad, plus casual food that runs late: American Grill for dinner, a courtyard cafe from 6 a.m., the Double Locos food truck and a gelato shop open until 1 a.m. (Hilton, June 2026 capture).
- Why stay: a walk to CityWalk that saves Universal’s parking charge, and a two-bedroom suite for up to six.
- Getting there / to the parks: as a Universal Partner Hotel it runs scheduled transportation to the Universal theme parks, reserved in person at the lobby’s Universal desk from a day ahead until 30 minutes before departure. Hilton doesn’t state a charge or whether Epic Universe is served. By road it’s about 1.3 miles to Universal’s garages and about 4 miles to Epic Universe’s parking (Hilton lists 3).
- Good to know: no resort fee on Hilton’s pages or in Booking.com’s sample price. Self-parking is $34 a day plus tax; valet is $44 plus tax per Hilton but $38 plus tax in the Booking.com fine print. Breakfast costs extra, you must be 21 to check in, and pets up to 60 pounds pay a $75 fee.
Best for: Universal-focused couples and families who are happy to walk and want a full-service hotel without a resort fee.

2. Hampton Inn Closest to Universal Orlando

This Hampton by Hilton on Windhover Drive, off Kirkman Road north of the DoubleTree, is the budget pick with the basics included. Hilton lists a free hot breakfast, free parking (one space per room) and a free scheduled shuttle to Universal, with an outdoor pool and a fitness center. It’s an older building, with a 1992 opening date in Hilton’s listing, and Hilton lists no restaurant beyond breakfast.
- Why stay: some of the lowest add-on costs near the gates: breakfast, parking and a Universal shuttle, with no resort fee shown.
- Getting there / to the parks: Hilton’s June 2026 page describes a complimentary scheduled shuttle to “Universal Orlando and Islands of Adventure,” with times from the front desk, and says it doesn’t serve Epic Universe. CityWalk is about 1.3 to 1.6 miles on foot (roughly 30 minutes), depending on the route; by road it’s about 1.6 miles to the garages and 4.6 to Epic.
- Good to know: Hilton’s booking engine takes up to four guests per room, and the lot has no space for oversized vehicles. Up to two dogs or cats (75 pounds max) cost $75 for 1 to 4 nights or $125 for longer, and the minimum check-in age is 18.

- Why stay: a kitchen, a hot breakfast and free parking, about 1.4 road miles from Universal’s garages.
- Getting there / to the parks: Hilton’s page (February 2026 capture) offers “free shuttle passes to the park,” and its Universal Partner terms describe scheduled rides to the Universal parks, SeaWorld and Aquatica, booked in person in the lobby from a day ahead until 30 minutes before departure. - Why stay: newer suites with a kitchen, free breakfast and free parking, and the shortest drive to the garages here, about 1.2 miles.

Best for: families of five or six on a budget who want a kitchen and newer rooms.

5. Hilton Garden Inn Orlando International Drive North

The third American Way hotel trades the kitchen for a livelier pool deck: an outdoor pool and whirlpool, a fire pit and a thatched Tiki Bar serving pub food and frozen drinks from 5 to 10 p.m. The Garden Grille & Bar cooks breakfast to order, omelets included, but Hilton notes that additional charges apply.
- Why stay: a free shuttle that Hilton says covers Epic Universe as well as the original parks, plus free parking and a bar on site.
- Getting there / to the parks: Hilton’s June 2026 page describes a complimentary scheduled shuttle to Universal Orlando, which it puts at two miles, and Epic Universe, at four; the Booking.com listing says the free Universal shuttle stops at the hotel. Our routes give about 1.3 miles to Universal’s garages and 3.4 to Epic’s lot.
- Good to know: rooms take up to four guests in Hilton’s booking engine. There’s EV charging on site, pets (two, 75 pounds max) cost $75 to $125 a stay, and both Hilton and the Booking.com fine print put the minimum check-in age at 18.

6. Embassy Suites by Hilton Orlando International Drive ICON Park

This freshly renovated all-suite hotel on Jamaican Court is about a 0.5-mile walk from ICON Park. Every suite has a bedroom with a door and a separate living room with a sofa bed and a wet bar. - Why stay: a door between parents and kids, a cooked breakfast and an evening reception included, and ICON Park’s restaurants on foot.
- Getting there / to the parks: the hotel’s Booking.com listing (October 2026) calls its theme park shuttle free to Walt Disney World, Universal and Epic Universe, but not SeaWorld, while Hilton’s hotel information page still says paid (October 2026), as its main page did in June 2026. Platinum Transportation’s schedule (effective October 5, 2026) lists 8:55 a.m. runs to Universal and Epic Universe and a 9:55 a.m. EPCOT run, but no fare, so confirm the cost in writing. By road it’s about 2.5 miles to Universal’s garages and 3.3 to Epic.

7. Hilton Orlando

The 1,424-room Hilton Orlando on Destination Parkway is the resort pick. The hotel lists an 892-foot lazy river with free tubes, a zero-entry main pool kept temperature-controlled year-round, a waterslide (48-inch minimum), a splash pad and an enclosed pool for adults 18 and over. It sits beside the Orange County Convention Center, and the hotel says it’s less than a mile from Epic Universe; our route to Epic’s parking toll plaza is about 2 miles.
- Why stay: a lazy-river resort near Epic Universe, with free Universal rides and a Magic Kingdom and EPCOT shuttle in the resort charge.
- Getting there / to the parks: the hotel’s Universal page describes complimentary transportation to all four Universal theme parks from the front drive, reserved in person at the Universal Vacation Planning Desk in the lobby; its transportation page says “all three” parks, so confirm Epic runs at the desk. The resort charge also covers a daily scheduled round trip to Magic Kingdom and EPCOT and two I-Ride Trolley passes. Universal’s garages are about 5.5 road miles away.
- Good to know: a $47-plus-tax daily resort charge, and self-parking at $38 or valet at $50 a night plus tax; the policy page also lists a $2.25 destination marketing tax on top of 12.5% room taxes. Breakfast isn’t included, pets aren’t allowed (service animals are), and the minimum check-in age is 18.

Other Hilton hotels near Universal worth a look
- Hampton Inn Orlando Near Universal Blv/International Dr (7110 S. Kirkman Road): an official Universal Partner Hotel, per Hilton, with free hot breakfast and parking, about 1.9 road miles from Universal’s garages and 2.7 from Epic’s lot. Its page described no shuttle in June 2026, so ask. Compare rates for this Hampton Inn.
- Hilton Grand Vacations Club Las Palmeras Orlando (9501 Universal Boulevard): a Hilton Grand Vacations timeshare resort that also rents studios and suites by the night, about 1.8 road miles from Epic’s parking. Booking.com lists parking at US$34.08 a day, and its taxes and fees for a sample November night were about 23 to 25% of the rate, roughly double Orange County’s 12.5% hotel tax, so check the breakdown for a resort fee. See availability at Las Palmeras.

Universal perks: what a Hilton near Universal gets you
None of these is a Universal hotel, so plan without Universal’s on-site perks: no Early Park Admission, which Universal keeps for its own hotel guests and other selected groups, and no free Express. Our guide to how Universal Early Park Admission works explains who qualifies.
What partner hotels do get: Universal’s vacation site lists the DoubleTree, Homewood Suites, Home2 Suites and Hilton Garden Inn among its partner hotels, and Hilton’s pages for the last three spell out Universal’s “Bonus Benefits”: discounts on merchandise and on food and non-alcoholic drinks at select park and CityWalk locations, plus free scheduled transportation, all subject to change. All four have a Universal desk in the lobby for tickets and shuttle bookings.
If you drive instead, Universal’s standard parking is $35 a day including tax at the time of writing, and Universal says prices are seasonal and may vary by day. Volcano Bay closes for maintenance from October 26, 2026 and is expected to reopen on or before April 1, 2027.
Hilton Honors and booking on Booking.com
Hilton’s program terms exclude “third party websites bookings (irrespective of rate paid)” from earning Hilton Honors points or night credits, and elite on-property benefits need a Hilton-direct booking. If those matter, book with Hilton and compare totals, resort fee and parking included.
How to choose a Hilton near Universal
- You want to walk: the DoubleTree at the Entrance to Universal is the realistic walk, about 20 minutes to CityWalk; the Hampton Inn Closest is about 1.3 miles. Our list of hotels within walking distance of Universal adds the on-site options.
- You want the fewest extras on the bill: the Hampton Inn Closest, Homewood Suites or Home2 Suites.
- You need a kitchen or room for six: Homewood or Home2 for a kitchen, or the Embassy Suites for a bedroom with a door.
- Epic Universe comes first: the DoubleTree Theme Park Resort, whose resort fee covers Epic rides, or Hilton Orlando, whose pages list three or four Universal parks, so confirm Epic. Compare them with the on-site hotels in our guide to hotels near Epic Universe.
- You’re adding Disney days: Hilton Orlando’s resort charge includes a daily Magic Kingdom and EPCOT shuttle; the Embassy Suites’ Disney shuttle is free or paid depending on the source, and the others mean driving or paying for rides.
Before you book, confirm the shuttle schedule and how to reserve it, check that the final price screen shows any resort fee and parking you’ll pay, and note the minimum check-in age (21 at the DoubleTree and Embassy Suites, and at Homewood per Hilton, though Booking.com says 18).
Frequently asked questions
Which Hilton hotel is closest to Universal Orlando?
The DoubleTree by Hilton at the Entrance to Universal Orlando on Major Boulevard. Our walking route to the middle of CityWalk is about 0.9 mile, roughly 20 minutes, and about a mile to the park entrances; by car it’s about 1.3 miles to Universal’s garages. The Home2 Suites, Hilton Garden Inn and Homewood Suites on American Way are similar drives but about 1.4 to 1.6 miles on foot.
Do Hilton hotels near Universal have a free shuttle?
Five of the eight do. Hilton describes free scheduled shuttles at the Hampton Inn Closest, Homewood Suites, Home2 Suites and Hilton Garden Inn, and Hilton Orlando’s Universal transportation is complimentary. They run on a timetable with limited seats, and most must be booked in person at the lobby desk. The DoubleTree Theme Park Resort’s shuttle is part of its resort fee, and the Hampton’s skips Epic Universe.
Which Hilton hotels near Universal include free breakfast and parking?
The Hampton Inn Closest to Universal, Homewood Suites and Home2 Suites list both a free hot breakfast and free parking, with no resort fee shown. Embassy Suites includes a made-to-order breakfast but charges for parking, and the Hilton Garden Inn has free parking but charges for breakfast. The DoubleTree, Hilton Orlando and the DoubleTree Theme Park Resort charge for both.
Is there a Hilton hotel near Epic Universe?
Yes. Hilton Grand Vacations Club Las Palmeras is about 1.8 road miles from Epic’s parking toll plaza, and Hilton Orlando about 2 miles (the hotel says under a mile), with complimentary Universal transportation; its pages say three or four parks, so confirm Epic. The DoubleTree Orlando Theme Park Resort is about 2.7 miles away and includes an Epic shuttle in its $25-plus-tax resort fee.
Do I earn Hilton Honors points if I book on Booking.com?
No. Hilton’s program terms list third-party website bookings among ineligible stays, whatever rate you pay, and on-property elite benefits aren’t given for reservations made outside Hilton’s direct channels. Book directly with Hilton if points, night credits or status perks matter, and compare that total with the Booking.com price for the same dates.
Do Hilton guests get Universal Early Park Admission or Express Pass?
No. Universal reserves Early Park Admission for guests of its own hotels and other selected groups, and the partner-shuttle terms on these Hilton pages say the rides aren’t valid for it. Free Universal Express comes only with Hard Rock Hotel, Loews Portofino Bay and Loews Royal Pacific, so at a Hilton you’d buy Express separately if you want it.
Bottom line
The DoubleTree at the Entrance to Universal is the Hilton to beat if you’ll walk, and the Hampton, Homewood and Home2 trio wins on included extras: breakfast, parking and a free scheduled shuttle. Choose Hilton Orlando or the DoubleTree Theme Park Resort when Epic Universe and a resort pool matter more than the walk, and budget for their resort fees.
