Wyndham Grand Orlando Bonnet Creek (officially Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek) is a 400-room lakeside hotel in the Bonnet Creek enclave beside Walt Disney World, with a scheduled Disney shuttle, family bunk rooms and access to the pools and lazy rivers of the Club Wyndham Bonnet Creek timeshare next door. It is a good-value upscale base if you want resort space close to EPCOT, Hollywood Studios and Disney Springs.

There are trade-offs. The shuttle runs on a fixed timetable, the hotel is not on Disney’s Early Theme Park Entry list, and a daily resort fee plus paid parking add to every night. Everything below was checked on the hotel’s and Disney’s official pages in October 2026; confirm prices when you book.

Quick answer: Choose the Wyndham Grand Orlando Bonnet Creek if you want a quiet lakeside resort a short drive from EPCOT and Disney Springs, rooms that sleep 4 (or 6 in a family bunk room), lots of pool space and a lower resort fee than the JW Marriott next door. Look elsewhere if you need Early Theme Park Entry, a frequent park shuttle or an airport transfer.

Location and distances to Disney and Universal

Bonnet Creek is a private pocket of resorts and preserve land that Wyndham describes as surrounded on three sides by Walt Disney World. The Wyndham Grand shares it with Club Wyndham Bonnet Creek, the Signia by Hilton, the Waldorf Astoria and the JW Marriott, and sits on a 10-acre lake with a half-mile walking path. Our guide to the Bonnet Creek hotels compares all five resorts.

The hotel’s own figures look like straight-line distances; by road, expect roughly 10 to 20 minutes to the Disney parks without traffic.

DestinationHotel’s figureApprox. by road
EPCOT1.5 mi4.5 mi
Disney Springs1.5 mi3 mi
Hollywood Studios2 mi4 mi
Magic Kingdom (TTC)5 mi6 mi

Epic Universe is about 11 miles and Universal’s main parking garages about 12.5 miles away by road, and the hotel runs no shuttle to either.

Rooms and suites

Wyndham lists the Mediterranean-style Deluxe rooms at about 420 sq ft. Every room has a 55-inch 4K TV, a mini-fridge, a coffee maker, a work desk with a laptop safe and Simmons Beautyrest mattresses. The main types are:

  • Deluxe Rooms: one king bed with a sleeper sofa, or two queens; they overlook the resort entrance and sleep up to 4 (the hotel’s FAQ caps king rooms at 3). Some come with a balcony.
  • Lake View Rooms: king or two queens overlooking the pools, the lake and, per the hotel, the nightly theme park fireworks; some have balconies.
  • Family Bunk Rooms: a king or two queens plus bunk beds for the kids; the two-queen version sleeps up to 6 and the king version 5, per the hotel’s FAQ.
  • Parlor Suites: a king or two queens plus a parlor with a Murphy bed or sleeper sofa, on the top two floors with executive-level benefits.
  • Accessible Rooms: king or two queens, with roll-in showers in some rooms.

Cribs are free on request, and a rollaway is available only in king rooms, subject to availability, so a family of five or six should book a Family Bunk room or a suite.

Pools, lazy rivers and recreation

The pool access is the biggest draw. The hotel’s heated Oasis Pool has a pool concierge and hot tubs, and Wyndham Grand guests can also use the Club Wyndham Bonnet Creek pools next door, including the Tower 5 lazy river and a splash pad. In total the hotel counts five pools and two lazy rivers, covered by the resort fee.

Hotel guests wear wristbands and pick up towels at the Oasis Pool. Club Wyndham loungers are first come, first served and cannot be saved, your whole party must be together, and children under 14 must be with an adult at the Oasis Pool. Pools were listed from 8 am to 10 pm. In October 2026 the hotel’s homepage said the Tower 5 lazy river was closed for renovation, although the FAQ still listed its hours, so ask which lazy river is open for your dates.

You can also book mini golf, pickleball, billiards, ping-pong, cornhole, shuffleboard and a virtual reality arena through Club Wyndham (some carry fees), and there is a game room, fire pits and fireworks viewing spots by the lake. If a lazy river is a must, compare our list of Orlando hotels with lazy rivers.

Dining and breakfast

Breakfast is not included in standard rates. The buffet at Tesoro Cove is listed at $27 per adult and $17 for children 6 to 10, plus an 18% service charge and tax; children 5 and under eat free (one per paying adult) as a limited-time offer.

All venues are open to non-guests:

  • Tesoro Cove: breakfast buffet with an omelet station and waffles, from 7 am on weekdays and 7:30 am on weekends.
  • deep blu Seafood Grille: upscale dinner restaurant with a dress code; closed some nights, reservations recommended.
  • Bar 1521: lobby bar with cocktails and sushi, open nightly from 5 pm.
  • Back Bay Pool Bar and Grill: casual lakeside lunch and dinner.
  • The Barista: lobby café with Starbucks drinks from 6 am.
  • Grand Eats: in-room dinner delivery in the evening.

Parking, resort fee and other costs

Rates vary by season, availability and how far ahead you book.

ChargeAmount at the time of writingNotes
Resort fee$42 per day + taxDisney shuttle, Wi-Fi, pools
Self-parking$36 per day + taxGarage
Valet parking$42 per day + taxNo EV charging
Incidentals hold$100 per nightReleased after checkout

The hotel’s own FAQ and Hotel Policies page both list $42, while the services page on Wyndham’s brand site still showed an older $39 when we checked, so confirm the figure at booking.

Check-in is at 4 pm and checkout at 11 am, and you must be 21 to check in. The flexible rate can be cancelled up to 72 hours before arrival. Pets are allowed for a fee, but the hotel’s pages disagree (one pet up to 50 pounds for $75 to $150 per stay on the policies page, dogs and cats up to 75 pounds in the FAQ), so confirm before you go. The hotel lists a 12.5% tax on rooms.

Transport to the Disney parks

The resort fee includes a scheduled shuttle to the four Disney theme parks and Disney Springs. The October 2026 schedule on the hotel’s FAQ showed:

  • Magic Kingdom: four departures from 8:30 am to 2:45 pm, to the Transportation and Ticket Center (then monorail or ferry); returns at 3:15 pm, then either a last bus at 7 pm or buses at 8:15 and 10:45 pm, depending on the date.
  • EPCOT: four departures from 7:45 am to 2:45 pm, returns until 9:45 pm.
  • Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom: three or four morning and midday departures; last returns 9:30 pm and 8 pm, earlier on a few early-closing dates.
  • Disney Springs: afternoon and evening departures, last return 11 pm.

Wheelchair users should reserve at least four hours ahead. For flexible return times, use rideshare or a car. Disney’s standard theme park parking was $35 per day at last check, and Disney Springs parking is free.

Being a Walt Disney World Gateway Hotel gets you the shuttle and on-site ticket sales, but it is not Early Theme Park Entry. Disney’s list of eligible non-Disney hotels includes the Signia by Hilton and the Waldorf Astoria in Bonnet Creek, but not the Wyndham Grand. Wyndham Lake Buena Vista and Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista, two other Wyndham-brand hotels, are on it. See our full list of non-Disney hotels with Early Theme Park Entry.

There is no airport shuttle. The hotel suggests Uber or Lyft (it estimates $40 to $50 from MCO) or a taxi (about $70 for up to four).

Spa, fitness and Wi-Fi

Fitness center with cardio machines and weight equipment at Wyndham Grand Orlando Bonnet Creek
  • Blue Harmony Spa: 5,700 sq ft with six treatment rooms, open daily from 10 am to 6 pm; the hotel suggests booking two to three weeks ahead.
  • Fitness center: open 6 am to 10 pm, with room-key access overnight for hotel guests.
  • Wi-Fi: high-speed Wi-Fi in rooms and public areas, included in the resort fee.
  • Other services: concierge, free luggage storage, a gift shop and same-day laundry (Monday to Saturday). The hotel lists no supervised kids club.

Who the Wyndham Grand suits

This resort works best for families who want room to swim after park days, especially in the Family Bunk rooms, and for couples or groups who will drive to the parks and like a quiet base near EPCOT and Disney Springs. Its $42 resort fee was lower at our check than the JW Marriott’s $55 plus tax, though the room rate decides the total.

It suits you less if you rely entirely on the shuttle, want Early Entry for rope drop or plan to spend most days at Universal. For a broader shortlist, see our best hotels near Disney World.

Pros

  • Quiet lakeside setting inside Bonnet Creek, a short drive from EPCOT and Disney Springs.
  • Access to the Club Wyndham pools, lazy rivers and splash pad, covered by the resort fee.
  • Family Bunk rooms for up to 6 and Deluxe rooms of about 420 sq ft.
  • Lake View rooms with views toward the nightly fireworks.
  • Lower resort fee than the JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek at our check.
  • On-site spa, sushi bar and an upscale seafood restaurant.

Limitations to know

  • Not on Disney’s Early Theme Park Entry list.
  • Scheduled shuttle with only a few departures per park and limited late returns.
  • Resort fee of $42 per day plus tax, and paid parking.
  • Breakfast not included; housekeeping is a daily refresh with full service on day three.
  • The pools and lazy rivers are mostly at Club Wyndham, a walk from the hotel, and one lazy river was closed for renovation at our check.
  • No airport shuttle, no Universal shuttle and no EV charging.

What to check before you book

  • Total cost: confirm the current resort fee and add parking if you drive.
  • Room type: book a Lake View room for pool and fireworks views and a Family Bunk room for up to 6. Deluxe rooms face the entrance.
  • Shuttle times: ask for the schedule for your dates, especially the Magic Kingdom returns.
  • Lazy river status: check which Club Wyndham pools and lazy rivers are open.
  • Age and pets: the person checking in must be 21, and pet rules should be confirmed directly.

Nearby alternatives

If Early Entry matters, two Bonnet Creek neighbors are on Disney’s list: the Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek, which has its own lazy river, and the Waldorf Astoria Orlando, the luxury pick with golf. The JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek has no lazy river and, like the Wyndham Grand, no Early Entry. For more family-oriented choices, browse our best family-friendly hotels in Orlando.

Frequently asked questions

Does Wyndham Grand Orlando Bonnet Creek have a shuttle to Disney World?

Yes. A scheduled shuttle to all four Disney theme parks and Disney Springs is included in the resort fee. It runs a few set departures per park rather than a constant loop, and the Magic Kingdom bus goes to the Transportation and Ticket Center. Buses leave promptly, seats are first come, first served, and you need your room key to board. Ask for the current timetable at check-in.

Does Wyndham Grand Bonnet Creek get Disney Early Theme Park Entry?

No, not at the time of writing. The hotel is a Walt Disney World Gateway Hotel, which covers the shuttle and ticket sales but is a different program. Disney’s official list of non-Disney hotels with Early Theme Park Entry includes the Signia by Hilton and the Waldorf Astoria in Bonnet Creek, but not the Wyndham Grand. Check Disney’s Early Entry page before you book, as the list can change.

Can Wyndham Grand guests use the Club Wyndham Bonnet Creek pools and lazy rivers?

Yes. Access to the Club Wyndham pools and hot tubs is part of the resort fee. Hotel guests wear wristbands, pick up towels at the hotel’s Oasis Pool, and use the Club Wyndham pools on a first-come basis. The hotel counts five pools, two lazy rivers and a splash pad in total. At our check, the Tower 5 lazy river was closed for renovation, so confirm what is open.

How much is the resort fee at Wyndham Grand Orlando Bonnet Creek?

The hotel’s FAQ lists a resort fee of $42 per day plus tax at the time of writing, though a Wyndham brand page still showed an older $39. It includes the Disney shuttle, Wi-Fi, two bottles of water per stay, the fitness center, Club Wyndham pool and mini golf access, and 10% off at the spa. Parking is extra: $36 self-parking or $42 valet per day plus tax.

Can you see Disney fireworks from Wyndham Grand Bonnet Creek?

The hotel says its Lake View rooms look over the pools, the lake and the nightly theme park fireworks, and it lists designated fireworks viewing areas on the grounds. Deluxe rooms face the resort entrance instead, so book a Lake View room if fireworks views matter. Views vary by floor, so treat them as a bonus.

Bottom line

Wyndham Grand Orlando Bonnet Creek is a calm, well-located resort with family bunk rooms, generous pool access and a lower resort fee than the JW Marriott next door. It works best if you are happy to drive or plan around a scheduled shuttle. If Early Theme Park Entry is essential, look at the Signia or Waldorf Astoria next door instead.
