The Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport is the only hotel inside MCO itself. It sits in the main Terminal A/B building, above the security checkpoint for Gates 70–129, so you can walk from baggage claim to the front desk without a shuttle, a car or a curb.

That location is what you pay for. Your room is an escalator ride from check-in counters and TSA, and the hotel adds a heated rooftop pool, runway-view rooms and a ninth-floor restaurant facing the airfield. What you give up is distance from the parks: Universal is about 25 minutes away by car and the Disney parks roughly 35 to 40, and Hyatt doesn’t list a theme park shuttle.

Quick answer: Book the in-terminal Hyatt for a late arrival, a dawn departure, a long layover (day-use rooms run 10 a.m.–6 p.m.) or a night before a cruise or road trip. For a whole Disney or Universal vacation, a hotel near the parks will save you a lot of daily driving.

Location: inside MCO’s main terminal

MCO places the hotel “inside Terminal A/B, above the security checkpoint for Gates 70–129.” The hotel and its restaurants are before security, so people without a ticket can use them too.

  • Terminals A and B: Check-in counters, baggage claim and the checkpoints are in the same building.
  • Terminal C: A separate building to the south, a 4-minute ride on the Terminal Link train (see the FAQ below).
  • Brightline: The Brightline Orlando station is in the train station next to Terminal C, on the same Terminal Link. MCO lists its hours as 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. See our Brightline Orlando guide for trains to South Florida.

Driving distances from the hotel, rounded, from OSRM routing without traffic. Most routes use toll roads: the Beachline Expressway (SR 528) or, for some Disney lots, the Central Florida GreeneWay (SR 417).

Rooms and suites

Hyatt lists 445 rooms and suites, each with a 65-inch TV. The basic categories are 1 King Bed and 2 Queen Beds, plus:

  • Location upgrades: high-floor, runway-view, balcony and patio versions of both bed types.
  • Accessible rooms: 1 King Bed and 2 Queen Beds rooms with a shower. Hyatt says accessible rooms with mobility features have 32-inch-wide doorways.
  • Suites: 2 Queen Beds Studio Suite, 2 Queen Beds Deluxe Suite, Studio Suite with Patio, 1 Bedroom Suite and 1 Bedroom Presidential Suite.
  • Two-bedroom connecting suites: Hyatt promotes these for families and groups, with separate sleeping areas, a shared living space and soundproofed design.

Views depend on the category: if you want to watch planes, book one with “Runway View” in the name. The Hyatt pages we could open don’t give room sizes or maximum occupancy, so check the room details at booking, especially for a family of five.

The hotel is non-smoking. Check-in is at 4 p.m. and check-out at 11 a.m.; for a morning arrival, ask about early check-in.

Rooftop pool and recreation

Hyatt describes “an outdoor heated swimming pool” with a Roman-style splash pool, a sundeck and a shaded lounge with views of planes on the runway. MCO calls it a rooftop pool and sundeck. It is for a swim between flights, not a family resort pool: Hyatt mentions no slides.

You can order McCoy’s To-Go to the pool deck from the courtesy phone (extension 54, says Hyatt). Pool hours weren’t posted on the pages we checked, so ask at check-in.

On a long layover, Hyatt’s day-use rates (daily, 10 a.m.–6 p.m., based on availability) include the pool and fitness center. They are booked by phone or email with the hotel.

Dining and breakfast

  • McCoy’s Bar and Grill (lobby level): MCO lists it as open 7 a.m. to midnight, with a sushi bar from 5 to 11 p.m. Hyatt mentions small plates, a children’s menu and breakfast (buffet or à la carte). McCoy’s To-Go handles in-room dining.
  • Lobby Bar: 5 p.m. to midnight, according to MCO. Sushi, cocktails, sports on five big screens and live flight boards.
  • Hemisphere: On the ninth floor, with a glass wall facing the runways. Hyatt calls the food “neo-contemporary world cuisine.” Hyatt listed it as open Tuesday to Saturday, 5 to 10 p.m., with reservations through OpenTable; check current hours.

The terminal’s other restaurants are a short walk away.

Parking and fees

The hotel is part of the terminal complex, so its parking appears on the airport’s official parking pages:

OptionWho it’s forPrice at last check
Hotel guest self-parkingRegistered guests$19 per night
Hotel guest valetRegistered guests$28 per night
Hyatt Valet (public)Any traveler$35 per 24 hours
Park, Stay and GoGuests flying outPackage rate

MCO says guest parking is charged to the room and all spaces are covered; Park, Stay and Go packages cover parking for your whole trip. Hyatt’s own parking page didn’t load for us, so we can’t confirm which rate the hotel applies to your stay; ask when you book or check in.

Other charges to know:

  • Resort fee: None appeared on the pages we could check. Review the full price breakdown on Booking.com before you confirm.
  • Pets: Dogs are welcome, up to two, 40 pounds each and 75 pounds combined. Hyatt’s fee table shows a $150 non-refundable pet fee for stays of one to six nights and labels it “per night” (longer stays are at the hotel’s discretion), so ask the hotel how it will be charged. Service animals are not subject to the pet policy.
  • Taxes: Orange County hotel taxes are added to the room rate.

Getting to Disney, Universal and the cruise port

None of the Hyatt pages we checked list a theme park shuttle, so plan your own transport. Your options:

  • Rental car: MCO has on-airport rental car companies, so you can pick up a car the morning you leave. Disney charges for theme park parking, and so does Universal.
  • Rideshare: MCO says pickups at Terminals A and B are at the Arrivals Curb (Level 2), 24 hours a day.
  • Taxi: MCO’s approximate fares from the airport are $38–$45 to International Drive, $52–$68 to the Disney resorts area and $115 to Port Canaveral.
  • Shuttles: Mears Connect serves Disney-area hotels, not this one. MCO places Universal’s SuperStar Shuttle on Level 1 (Ground Transportation) of Terminals A and C; our Universal guide explains who it serves and what it costs.

Our guides compare costs and times for each route: Orlando airport to Disney World and Orlando airport to Universal.

Amenities: fitness, Wi-Fi and services

Hyatt lists these amenities:

  • Fitness center
  • Free internet access (confirm it applies to your rate)
  • In-room Chromecast
  • Digital check-in and digital key
  • Concierge, laundry and business services
  • Room service and electric vehicle charging

No spa appears on Hyatt’s amenity list. Hyatt calls its renovated Continental Ballroom the first phase of a multi-million-dollar transformation, so ask whether any work is planned during your stay.

Airport construction to know about

MCO is replacing the Gate Link trams between Terminals A and B and Gates 70–129, from December 2025 through fall 2027. Its schedule has Gates 100–129 under work until about December 2026, then Gates 70–99 until October 2027.

One tram runs by day; at times, especially overnight (roughly 11 p.m. to 4 a.m.), passengers ride COBUS buses between gate areas. MCO says most people lose only a few minutes and still advises reaching the checkpoint two hours before departure. The hotel’s notice also mentions a roofing project through January 2027, with minimal impact expected.

Who it suits

  • Red-eye and dawn flyers: You can sleep until the last moment and skip the airport transfer.
  • Late arrivals with kids: You go straight to bed, then pick up a rental car or ride the next morning.
  • Layover travelers: Day-use rooms give you a pool, a shower and a nap.
  • Pre-cruise nights: Port Canaveral is about an hour away without traffic.

It suits a full park vacation less well: every park day starts with a drive and parking fees. See our guide to Orlando airport hotels, which compares this Hyatt with nearby hotels that run free airport shuttles.

Pros

  • The only hotel inside MCO: walk to check-in, TSA and baggage claim
  • Pre-security, so non-flying friends and family can meet you
  • Heated rooftop pool with airfield views
  • Runway-view, balcony and patio room types, plus two-bedroom connecting suites
  • Three places to eat and drink, including a ninth-floor restaurant with runway views
  • Covered guest parking, Park, Stay and Go packages and day-use rates

Limitations to know

  • About 25 minutes by car from Universal and 30–40 from Disney, with no park shuttle listed
  • No resort-style pool, kids’ club or spa
  • Gate Link and roofing work continue into 2027
  • Room sizes, occupancy and pool hours weren’t on the hotel pages we could check
  • The pet fee could add up fast if it is charged per night

What to check before you book

  • Room category: Choose “Runway View,” “Balcony” or “Patio” if those matter to you, and confirm how many people the room sleeps.
  • Breakfast and loyalty: Check whether your rate includes breakfast. Don’t count on World of Hyatt points or member perks with a Booking.com rate; ask Hyatt if they matter to you.
  • Parking: Confirm the nightly guest rate, or ask about Park, Stay and Go if you’re leaving a car while you travel.
  • Construction: Check MCO’s Gate Link page before a very early or late flight.
  • Cancellation terms: Rates vary by season, availability and how far ahead you book, and flexible rates cost more.

Nearby alternatives

For a more stylish airport-area night, the Lake Nona Wave Hotel is about 15–20 minutes south, with an outdoor pool deck of its own. If a swim is the deciding factor, compare the Hyatt with other Orlando hotels with rooftop pools.

Don’t confuse this hotel with the Hyatt Regency Orlando on International Drive. That is a different, much larger resort next to the Orange County Convention Center, about 13 miles west, with its own fees and pools. For terminal maps, security times and parking across the airport, see our Orlando airport guide.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Hyatt Regency Orlando Airport inside the terminal?

Yes. It’s the only hotel inside Orlando International Airport, in the main Terminal A/B building above the security checkpoint for Gates 70–129. The lobby and restaurants are before security, so you walk from your room to the check-in counters, TSA lines and baggage claim of Terminals A and B.

How do I get from the Hyatt to Terminal C?

Take the Terminal Link train (MCO calls it the APM) from Level 3 of Terminals A and B. The station is between the checkpoint for Gates 70–129 and the Terminal B airline counters. MCO says the ride takes about 4 minutes. The same train serves the Brightline Orlando station at the south terminal complex.

How much is parking at the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport?

At last check, MCO’s hotel guest parking page listed $19 per night for self-parking and $28 per night for valet, charged to your room, with all spaces covered. The public Hyatt Valet costs $35 per 24 hours after the first three hours. Park, Stay and Go packages include parking for your whole trip. Confirm current rates with the hotel.

Can you use the Hyatt airport pool without staying overnight?

Yes, if you book a day-use room. Hyatt offers day-use rates daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., based on availability. They include the heated rooftop pool, fitness center, restaurant and room service. The hotel books them by phone at +1 407 825 1234 or by email.

How far is the Hyatt Regency Orlando Airport from Disney World and Universal?

By road it’s about 13 miles to Universal Orlando (around 25 minutes without traffic) and 21–24 miles to the Disney theme park parking lots (around 35–40 minutes). Most routes use toll roads. The hotel’s own 16-mile figure for Walt Disney World appears to be a straight-line distance. No park shuttle is listed, so plan on a rental car, rideshare or taxi.

Does the Hyatt Regency Orlando Airport charge a resort fee?

We found no resort or destination fee on the Hyatt or MCO pages we could check in October 2026 (Hyatt’s policies page didn’t load). Parking is separate, starting at $19 per night for self-parking for guests, and county hotel taxes are added to the rate. Check the price breakdown before you pay.

Bottom line

The Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport is the easiest night in Orlando when your flight is the main event. You skip the transfer, swim on the roof and eat with a runway view. Stay one night at the start or end of your trip, and book a hotel near the parks for the vacation itself.
