Orlando theme park parking costs $35 a day for a standard car at both Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando at the time of writing, tax included, while SeaWorld, LEGOLAND Florida and Kennedy Space Center set their own rates. A few places still let you park free, including Disney Springs, Blizzard Beach, Discovery Cove and Gatorland.

Below are each park’s official prices, who parks free and how you get from the lot to the gate; prices change by season, so confirm before you go. Not sure you need a car at all? Our Orlando car rental guide weighs the costs.

Quick answer: Budget $35 a day per car at Disney’s four theme parks and at Universal, Epic Universe included, both with tax; $37 to $42 plus tax at SeaWorld when you prepay online, depending on the date; from $35 plus tax at LEGOLAND; and $15 at Kennedy Space Center. Disney Resort hotel guests get standard theme park parking included, and Universal’s garages are free after 6 p.m. except on Halloween Horror Nights event nights and New Year’s Eve.

Walt Disney World parking

Disney sells one parking pass per day that is good all day at all four theme parks: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. Standard parking is $35 for a car or motorcycle, preferred parking near the entrance is $50, $55 or $60 depending on the date, and oversized vehicles such as RVs, campers and limos pay $40. Disney says all parking fees include sales tax.

Fees are nonrefundable, and Disney says paying does not guarantee a space if you leave and return later or drive to a different park that day.

Who parks free at Disney

  • Disney Resort hotel guests: standard theme park parking is included, and overnight self-parking at the hotel is complimentary. You can upgrade to preferred by paying the difference, $15 to $25 a day at the time of writing.
  • Swan, Dolphin and Swan Reserve guests: these Marriott-run hotels say registered guests get complimentary standard parking at all four theme parks. Our reviews of the Walt Disney World Swan and the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve cover their fees; the Dolphin is one of our picks below.
  • Select annual passholders: Disney says standard parking is included for “select” passholders, and the Disney Incredi-Pass lists it as a benefit.
  • Disney Springs and Blizzard Beach: standard parking is free for everyone. Disney lists Typhoon Lagoon’s parking as free too, but that water park is temporarily closed for refurbishment.

Disney Springs’ garages open at 9 a.m. on regular days and at 7 a.m. on special merchandise days, including every Tuesday for pin releases. Disney Resort hotels offer free day parking while you use select dining, shopping, entertainment or recreation there.

From the lot to the gate at Disney

Disney says courtesy trams have returned to all four theme parks, carrying you from the parking lot to the main entrance and back. At EPCOT, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom, the tram ends at the gate.

Magic Kingdom works differently: its tram stops at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC), where you board the Express Monorail or a ferryboat to the park entrance. Disney says the Express Monorail starts 30 minutes before Magic Kingdom opens and stops an hour after it closes. Allow extra time for this two-step trip at opening; our Magic Kingdom tips cover the timing.

Disability parking lots sit near each main entrance (a valid permit is required and standard rates apply), and the free Car Locator in the My Disney Experience app saves your spot at select lots.

Universal Orlando and Epic Universe parking

Universal’s daily parking is valid for all four Universal theme parks and CityWalk: Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, Volcano Bay and Epic Universe. Regular self-parking is $35 including tax whether you prepay online or pay at the toll plaza, and Universal says pricing is seasonal and may vary by day.

OptionPrice, tax includedNotes
Regular self-parking$35Garages or Epic Universe lot
Prime self-parking$50-$60Upgrade from regular $14-$25
RV or bus$45Not accepted at valet
Valet before 6 p.m.$38 up to 2 hours$76-$81 for longer
Valet after 6 p.m.$38 up to 2 hours$46-$81 for longer; $81 on HHN nights

Your receipt or QR code plus a photo ID lets you leave and return the same day, and one day’s parking works at both Epic Universe and the garages serving CityWalk and the original parks. Prime spaces may be full when you return.

Free and cheaper parking at Universal

  • After 6 p.m.: self-parking in the garages is free after 6 p.m., except on Halloween Horror Nights event nights (select nights through November 1, 2026) and New Year’s Eve. It does not apply at Epic Universe.
  • Cinema matinees: buy two or more Universal Cinemark tickets for a showing between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m., show your regular parking receipt, and the box office refunds what you paid. Prime, valet, RV and Epic Universe parking are excluded.
  • Avis and Budget renters: renting from Orlando International Airport earns a voucher for a free upgrade to Prime parking, though you still pay for regular parking.
  • Drop-offs: rideshares and taxis pay no parking fee at the dedicated areas, the North Parking Garage at 6000 Universal Boulevard and 1201 Epic Boulevard for Epic Universe.

Epic Universe parking

Epic Universe has its own parking at 1001 Epic Boulevard, separate from the garages at 6000 Universal Boulevard. Rates match the garages, but the free-after-6 p.m. offer and the cinema refund do not apply. Epic Universe’s Prime area is also the only place on Universal’s parking page with EV charging, for an extra fee.

From the garages to the gates

From the garages you walk through CityWalk to Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure. Universal says the enclosed garages have moving walkways, escalators and elevators.

Volcano Bay works differently: follow the signs to its dedicated parking section, then ride the free shuttle to the entrance. Universal’s Volcano Bay page says the water park begins a maintenance closure on October 26, 2026, with reopening planned on or before April 1, 2027.

SeaWorld, Aquatica and Discovery Cove parking

SeaWorld Orlando’s parking page listed prices starting at $37 plus tax at the time of writing. When we checked its online calendar on October 15, 2026, general parking was $37 on most days through mid-December, $40 on Saturdays and some December dates, and $42 over Thanksgiving week (November 20 to 29) and from December 18 to 31. Preferred spaces ran $47 to $67 and VIP spaces, the closest to the entrance, $62 to $82, all plus tax. The FAQ on the same page still says parking starts at $35, so check the calendar for your date.

SeaWorld does not accept cash if you pay at the parking entrance, parking passes are non-refundable (rebooking needs at least 24 hours’ notice), and its FAQ says it has no EV charging stations. Aquatica sells its own parking, from $36 plus tax online. Self-parking at Discovery Cove is complimentary. Its pricing page says the “+ 3 Parks” packages add free parking at SeaWorld, Aquatica and Busch Gardens, while its FAQ says sister-park parking comes only with the Ultimate package, so confirm when you book.

LEGOLAND Florida, Kennedy Space Center and Gatorland

LEGOLAND Florida’s help center lists cars from $35 plus tax, covered spaces near the main entrance at $50 plus tax, one-day valet at $55 plus tax and campers or RVs at $45 plus tax. Motorcycles ($35 plus tax) and RVs must pay at the toll booth, while buses and bicycles park free. Standard spaces are roughly a 5- to 10-minute walk from the entrance, and your parking stub gets you back in the same day.

Toll booths open about 30 to 45 minutes before the theme park (the help center says about 45), and a free drop-off loop sits to the right as you enter.

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex charges $15 for cars, $5 for motorcycles and $20 for oversized vehicles and RVs, collected at the lot entrance. The lot opens 30 minutes before the complex, accessible parking is in Lot 5, rideshare drop-offs use Lot 4 with proof of fare, and annual passholders park free.

Gatorland promotes “ample FREE parking” on its hours and prices page.

Annual pass parking perks

If you visit one park often, the right annual pass can wipe out parking costs. This is what each park’s page says at the time of writing.

Universal’s pass benefits start after your first visit, Preferred passholders also get 50% off Prime upgrades and valet, and valet discounts do not apply on event nights such as Halloween Horror Nights and New Year’s Eve.

EV charging at Orlando theme parks

Disney has ChargePoint stations at all four theme parks: 5 spaces at Magic Kingdom, 4 at EPCOT, 4 at Animal Kingdom and 4 at Hollywood Studios, plus 13 at Disney Springs. All are first come, first served, and most cost $0.35 per kWh with a $1.50 minimum. The four Level 3 chargers in Disney Springs’ Watermelon lot cost $0.40 per kWh with a 20-minute grace period, then $0.30 a minute until you move the car.

  • Universal: EV charging only in Epic Universe’s Prime parking, with extra fees.
  • SeaWorld: no charging stations, according to its FAQ.
  • LEGOLAND: two stations at the LEGOLAND Florida Hotel, for hotel guests.

To charge overnight, see our list of Orlando hotels with EV charging.

Hotel parking vs theme park parking

Many Orlando hotels also charge for parking per night. Disney Resort hotels include overnight self-parking, and valet at Disney Deluxe and Deluxe Villa resorts and Coronado Springs costs $42 a night plus tax. Universal’s own hotels charge for overnight parking, and parking at one as a day visitor is no shortcut: Stella Nova lists $65 plus tax for day guests who stay 30 minutes or more. LEGOLAND’s on-site hotels charge $33 plus tax a night.

If you plan to drive every day, a hotel with free parking offsets part of the park fees; see our list of Orlando hotels with free parking. Splitting the trip between the two resorts? Our guide to Disney to Universal transportation compares driving with rideshares and shuttles.

Hotels that cut theme park parking costs

These three hotels sit within walking distance of a gate or replace the drive with a free shuttle. Rates vary by season, availability and how far ahead you book.

Walt Disney World Dolphin

The Dolphin is one of the three Marriott-run hotels inside Walt Disney World whose guests get complimentary standard parking at all four Disney theme parks. Walkways lead to EPCOT’s International Gateway, about 0.7 mile or 15 minutes on foot, and to Hollywood Studios, about 1.1 miles, and a water taxi runs about every 20 to 25 minutes to both parks except in bad weather.

The catch is the hotel’s own charges: self-parking is $40 plus tax a day and valet $51 to $61 plus tax, on top of a mandatory $50-plus-tax daily resort service package. Our Walt Disney World Dolphin review covers rooms, perks and fees.

Drury Inn & Suites near Universal Orlando Resort

This Universal Partner Hotel lists parking as free during your stay and offers a free scheduled shuttle to all of Universal’s theme parks, Epic Universe included; you reserve a seat at the Universal Ticket Center in the lobby. The rate also covers a hot breakfast and the 5:30 Kickback, hot food and drinks from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The hotel is about 2.3 miles by road to Universal’s garages (Drury lists 2.0 miles).

The shuttle runs on a schedule, so check the times on arrival. Our Drury Inn & Suites near Universal review has the details.

Universal Stella Nova Resort

Stella Nova sits next to Epic Universe, which Universal says you can reach by walking path or free shuttle; complimentary buses also serve the CityWalk hub and Volcano Bay. Standard rooms have two queen beds, sleep four and measure 315 square feet, and hotel guests get Early Park Admission up to an hour before opening (valid ticket required, select attractions).

Overnight self-parking is $30 plus tax per night, so Stella Nova works best if you arrive without a car or keep one for only part of the trip. Our Universal Stella Nova Resort review covers the pool, dining and rooms.

Tips to park faster and pay less

  • Keep your receipt: Universal asks for it plus a photo ID when you return, and LEGOLAND for your parking stub.
  • Prepay where it helps: Universal’s prepaid buyers are eligible for the Prime upgrade, and SeaWorld takes no cash at the entrance.
  • Arrive early at Magic Kingdom: the tram plus the monorail or ferry adds a step the other Disney parks skip.
  • Count the full cost: four park days by car at Disney or Universal add $140 in park parking ($35 x 4), before any hotel parking.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to park at Disney World?

Standard parking at Disney’s four theme parks is $35 a day for a car or motorcycle, tax included, at the time of writing. Preferred spaces closer to the entrance cost $50, $55 or $60 depending on the date, and oversized vehicles pay $40. One payment covers all four parks on the same day, although Disney does not guarantee a space if you leave and return.

Is parking free at Universal Orlando after 6 p.m.?

Yes, in most cases. Universal says self-parking in its garages is free after 6 p.m., except on Halloween Horror Nights event nights and on New Year’s Eve. The offer does not apply at Epic Universe’s lot, and valet still costs extra. Check the event calendar for your date, because Halloween Horror Nights runs on select nights through November 1 in 2026.

Does Epic Universe parking cost the same as Universal’s garages?

Yes. Regular self-parking at Epic Universe is $35 including tax and Prime is $50 to $60, the same as the garages, and one day’s parking is valid at both locations with your receipt or QR code and a photo ID. The differences are the address (1001 Epic Boulevard), no free parking after 6 p.m. and EV charging in Prime.

Do Disney Resort hotel guests pay for theme park parking?

No. Disney says standard theme park parking is included for registered guests of Disney Resort hotels, and overnight self-parking at those hotels is complimentary too. You can pay the difference, $15 to $25 a day at the time of writing, for preferred parking. Swan, Dolphin and Swan Reserve guests also park free at the four parks, though they pay to park at their hotel.

Can I leave and come back the same day without paying again?

Usually, yes. Disney’s pass is good all day at all four parks, but a space is not guaranteed when you return. Universal lets you re-enter during operating hours with your receipt or QR code and a photo ID, and LEGOLAND with your parking stub. Prime and preferred spaces may be gone on re-entry.

Which Orlando theme parks have free parking?

At the time of writing, parking is free at Disney Springs, Blizzard Beach, Discovery Cove and Gatorland, and Universal’s garages are free after 6 p.m. on most nights. Disney Resort hotel guests and Swan, Dolphin and Swan Reserve guests park free at Disney’s four theme parks, and many annual passes at Universal, SeaWorld, LEGOLAND and Kennedy Space Center include parking.

Bottom line

Plan on $35 a day at Disney and Universal, a little more plus tax at SeaWorld and LEGOLAND, and nothing at Disney Springs, Discovery Cove or Gatorland. A Disney Resort or Swan and Dolphin stay covers Disney’s lots, Universal evenings after 6 p.m. are free on most nights, and a hotel within walking distance or with a free shuttle lets you skip park parking fees.
