Signia vs Waldorf Astoria Orlando is a choice between two Hilton hotels that stand side by side in the private Bonnet Creek enclave next to Walt Disney World. They share one Disney motorcoach, the same Disney Early Theme Park Entry listing and the same $50-plus-tax daily resort charge, and guests of either can dine and golf at both; Waldorf guests also get Signia’s pools. What separates them is the pool outside your door, room size, parking, the restaurants in your own building and the mood.

Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek, the former Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek, is the big family resort with the 3-acre lazy river. Waldorf Astoria Orlando is the smaller luxury neighbor with the spa, the Rees Jones golf course and Bull & Bear. The facts below come from the hotels’ own pages, Disney’s pages and the shuttle timetable, checked in October 2026; confirm fees and hours before you book.

Quick answer: Book Signia if the lazy river and waterslide are the point of the trip, you want free breakfast for kids 5 and under, $40 self-parking instead of $60 valet, or a two-bedroom suite for up to eight. Book the Waldorf Astoria for bigger rooms with a soaking tub, a quieter pool deck and the spa, steakhouse and lounge in your own building, with Signia’s lazy river a short walk away. Disney perks, shuttle and resort charge are identical.

Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek: the lazy river resort

Signia is the enclave’s biggest hotel: 1,009 rooms and suites (per the hotel) in one tower above a 3-acre lazy river, a zero-entry lagoon pool, a waterslide, cabanas and the Beech pool bar. Deluxe rooms are 351 square feet with a king or two queens, sold by view (Pool, Disney, High Floor); suites run from the 702-square-foot Junior Suite to the 2,214-square-foot Presidential Suite, and the two-bedroom Full Parlor sleeps eight.

The resort charge adds a free kids’-menu dinner for children 12 and under at La Luce or Harvest Bistro, one per adult entrée, and free breakfast for ages 5 and under at Harvest Bistro. The hotel became Signia in July 2021; Booking.com lists it as Signia by Hilton Orlando, with the old name still in the listing’s web address. Our Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek review has the full timetable, fees and suite chart.

Waldorf Astoria Orlando: the quieter luxury neighbor

The Waldorf opened in 2009 and, according to the hotel, has completed its most extensive renovation since then; Hilton’s 2023 renovation announcement put it at 502 rooms and suites. Deluxe rooms are 448 square feet with Frette linens, Aesop bath products, a stocked minibar and an Italian marble bathroom with a glass shower and a separate soaking tub.

Its own pool deck is calm, with a long cabana pool for laps, a zero-entry pool and a hot tub, and its FAQ confirms Waldorf guests can also use Signia’s pool, lazy river and restaurants. The spa, the golf course and the WA Kids Club are on this side of the enclave. Read our Waldorf Astoria Orlando guide for the details.

Location: same enclave, same drive to the parks

Both hotels sit on Bonnet Creek Resort Lane, a private resort area surrounded by Disney land but not run by Disney: no Disney buses, monorail or Skyliner, and Disney’s $35 standard parking applies if you drive. The hotels’ map pages put EPCOT 2 miles away, which reads like a straight-line figure; by road, using OSRM routes to each park’s guest parking, Signia is about 3 miles from the Disney Springs garages, 4 from Hollywood Studios, 5 from the EPCOT lot and from Animal Kingdom’s parking entrance, 6 to 6.5 from the Magic Kingdom ticket center and its lots, and 21 from Orlando airport; the Waldorf is the next driveway along, so add about a quarter mile.

Neither hotel runs an airport shuttle; both refer guests to Mears and Skyline, and the Waldorf’s FAQ quotes a Mears sedan at $132 from the airport and a Skyline SUV for up to five at $135 one way.

Disney shuttle and Early Entry: identical at both hotels

One private motorcoach, run by Mears and timetabled at bonnetshuttle.com, serves all four Disney theme parks and Disney Springs from both porte-cochères: Signia is stop one, the Waldorf stop two, five minutes later. It runs during regular park hours only, per Signia’s FAQ, and the schedule changes daily. These were the departures from Signia on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 (add five minutes at the Waldorf):

ParkDisney stopDepartures from SigniaLast bus back
Magic KingdomTransportation and Ticket Center20, 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.11:50 p.m.
EPCOTBus space 2510, 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.10:05 p.m.
Hollywood StudiosBus space 6210, 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.11:15 p.m.
Animal KingdomBus space 3 or 410, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.7:10 p.m.
Disney SpringsWestside loop8, noon to 9 p.m.11:20 p.m.

Magic Kingdom buses end at the Transportation and Ticket Center, so add a monorail or ferry ride. Expect midday gaps: that day no Magic Kingdom bus left between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., and EPCOT and Hollywood Studios buses ran roughly every two hours from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Check your own dates.

Disney lists both hotels among the select non-Disney hotels with Early Theme Park Entry: 30 minutes before official opening at any theme park, every day of the stay, with valid admission, continuing through 2027. Neither gets more: Lightning Lane purchases open 3 days ahead (at 7 a.m. Eastern, per the Waldorf’s FAQ) rather than 7, there are no Extended Evening Hours, and park parking is not free. See every non-Disney hotel with Early Theme Park Entry.

Rooms and suites: 351 vs 448 square feet

This is the clearest difference. A Signia Deluxe room is 351 square feet with a sitting area, a desk, marble bathroom counters, a 55-inch TV, a Nespresso machine, a mini-fridge and a shower or tub. A Waldorf Deluxe room is 448 square feet with a glass shower and a separate soaking tub, Frette linens, Aesop products, a stocked minibar and day and evening turndown.

Signia’s suite figures come from its 2024 suite chart; the Waldorf’s suite pages give sizes but no maximum occupancy, so ask before booking five or more into one unit. Signia also sells Peloton Wellness Rooms with an in-room bike; the Waldorf’s Family Luxury Suite adds a plush toy, a bath bomb and family games, and most of its Deluxe King Suites have a furnished balcony over the golf course or nature preserve.

Pools: lazy river and slide vs lap pool and hot tub

Signia’s pool complex is the main family draw at Bonnet Creek: a lazy river with complimentary tubes, first come, first served (the resort charge lists up to four per room), a zero-entry lagoon where toddlers can wade, and a waterslide with a 40-inch minimum (life jackets under 48 inches), listed at 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on a limited daily schedule.

The Waldorf’s deck has a long cabana pool for laps, a zero-entry pool and a hot tub, open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. weather permitting, with Aquamarine serving poolside and full-day cabanas for up to six from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at seasonal rates. Waldorf guests may also use Signia’s pool, lazy river, slide and cabanas, per the Waldorf’s pool page; the reverse is not stated anywhere official, so assume Signia guests stay on their own deck.

The two websites disagree about Signia’s pool: Signia’s page lists 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and cabanas for up to six until 6 p.m., while the Waldorf’s page for the same pool says 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and cabanas for up to eight until 7 p.m., so check on arrival. Signia says its pools are heated in cool weather; the Waldorf’s pages don’t say. Compare more Orlando hotels with lazy rivers.

Dining and breakfast: shared both ways

Guests of either hotel can book restaurants at both, so the question is what is downstairs. Breakfast is not included in standard rates at either, though both sell breakfast packages; hours are the hotels’ listings at the time of writing.

Signia has La Luce (Italian and Neapolitan pizza, daily 6 to 10 p.m.), Zeta Asia (pan-Asian, Wednesday to Sunday 5 to 10 p.m.), Harvest Bistro (breakfast buffet 7 to 11 a.m., lunch and dinner on select days), MYTH Bar, the MUSE Starbucks market (6 a.m. to 2 a.m.) and Beech by the pool. The Waldorf has Bull & Bear (steakhouse with tableside service and a dress code, daily 6 to 10 p.m.), Oscar’s Brasserie (breakfast buffet 7 to 11 a.m.), Peacock Alley (lobby lounge for small plates and cocktails, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.), Park Avenue Cafe (grab-and-go, 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.), Aquamarine at the pool and the Clubhouse Grille at the golf club.

Both resort charges include a free kids’-menu dinner for children 12 and under, one per adult entrée, at La Luce or Harvest Bistro, both on the Signia side (both resort-charge pages say “La Luce (or assigned restaurant)”). Only Signia’s charge also lists free breakfast for children 5 and under, so Waldorf families should confirm it at check-in. Harvest Bistro serves dinner only on select days, which can push the kids’ dinner to La Luce. See more Orlando hotels where kids eat free.

Resort charge, parking and other fees

The two resort charges are the same amount and almost the same list: Wi-Fi for two devices, two bottles of water a day, the Disney shuttle, 15% off spa retail, golf practice facilities and club rentals after 2 p.m., the fitness center, four lazy river tubes and the kids’ dinner. Parking is where the bills diverge.

ChargeSigniaWaldorf Astoria

Self-parking$40 + tax per dayNot offered (see note)
Valet parking$60 + tax per day$60 + tax per night

Minimum age; check-in and out21; 4 p.m. and 11 a.m.21; 4 p.m. and 11 a.m.

With a car, Signia costs $90 a night in fees before tax and the Waldorf $110. One caveat: the Waldorf’s FAQ and policies page list valet only at $60, but its online welcome letter still shows $57 valet and $40 self-parking, so ask which applies. Rates vary by season, availability and how far ahead you book; both sites list parking-included and breakfast-included packages, so compare them with your Booking.com rate. Hilton Honors perks, such as waived resort fees on points reward stays, apply only to bookings made directly with Hilton; Hilton’s terms, at last check, exclude third-party reservations.

Spa, golf, kids club and fitness

  • Waldorf Astoria Spa: daily 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with massages, facials, salon services, Normatec leg recovery and a Himalayan salt room; prices vary by date plus a 21% service charge, and Signia’s spa page confirms its guests can book treatments.
  • Waldorf Astoria Golf Club: an 18-hole Rees Jones course with a five-tee system, open to guests of both hotels. Rounds cost extra; the practice range and putting green come with the resort charge, with club rentals free after 2 p.m. Collared shirts for men, no metal spikes. The Waldorf lists course hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., varying seasonally; Signia’s page says 8 a.m. to dusk.
  • WA Kids Club: the Waldorf’s program for ages 5 to 12, which Signia’s site calls Waldy’s Kids Club and lists among its own activities. Sessions run 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. with lunch, crafts, games and swimming, for $50 for one child, $40 for the second and $30 for each additional child, or $20 per child per hour without lunch; Astoria After Dark runs Fridays and Saturdays, 6 to 9 p.m.
  • Fitness: each hotel has its own 24-hour, 4,000-square-foot gym in the resort charge, with Peloton bikes at both.

Vibe and price tier

Signia is a big resort in every sense: a tower of roughly 1,000 rooms, more than 231,000 square feet of meeting space per the hotels’ meetings pages, and a pool deck that is lively all day, which suits families with young children and bothers anyone hoping for a quiet lounger. The Waldorf, at roughly half the size, feels like a grown-up hotel: a domed lobby with a Waldorf clock, Peacock Alley for a cocktail, a steakhouse with a dress code and a pool deck built for laps.

On price, Hilton’s press releases call Signia an “upper upscale” hotel and the Waldorf a “top-tier luxury destination,” so the Waldorf usually lists higher on the same night, plus $20 more for parking. Rates vary by season, availability and how far ahead you book. Both appear in our ranking of the best luxury resorts in Orlando, and Signia is in our list of the best hotels near Disney World.

  • The lazy river, waterslide and lagoon pool are the reason you are here.

  • You accept valet-only parking and a higher rate for a quieter stay with the same Disney perks.

Frequently asked questions

Is Signia or the Waldorf Astoria Orlando better for families?

Signia, for most families with young children: the lazy river, waterslide and zero-entry lagoon are on site, the resort charge adds under-6 breakfasts to the kids’ dinners both hotels include, and self-parking is cheaper. The Waldorf suits families who want bigger rooms, the paid kids club and a calmer deck, with Signia’s pools next door.

Can Waldorf Astoria guests use Signia’s lazy river, and can Signia guests use the Waldorf pool?

Waldorf guests can: the hotel’s FAQ and pool page say they may use Signia’s pool, lazy river, waterslide and cabanas, and the resort charge includes four lazy river tubes. The reverse is not stated on either site, so Signia guests should assume the Waldorf deck is for Waldorf guests.

Do Signia and the Waldorf Astoria share the same Disney shuttle?

Yes. One motorcoach, timetabled at bonnetshuttle.com, picks up at Signia first and at the Waldorf five minutes later, then serves the four Disney theme parks and Disney Springs during park hours; both resort charges cover it. Magic Kingdom buses stop at the Transportation and Ticket Center, so check your dates.

Which costs less, Signia or the Waldorf Astoria Orlando?

Signia, on most dates. The resort charge is $50 plus tax at both, but Signia offers $40 self-parking while the Waldorf is valet-only at $60, and Hilton positions the Waldorf as a luxury brand, so its rates usually list higher. Rates vary by season, availability and how far ahead you book.

Do both hotels get Disney Early Theme Park Entry?

Yes. Disney’s Early Theme Park Entry page lists both hotels among the select non-Disney hotels whose guests can enter any theme park 30 minutes early every day of their stay, with valid admission, and says the benefit continues through 2027. Neither gets Extended Evening Hours or the 7-day Lightning Lane window.

Can you walk between Signia and the Waldorf Astoria Orlando?

Yes. The hotels stand on neighboring driveways along Bonnet Creek Resort Lane, and OSRM’s walking route between the entrances is about a third of a mile, under 10 minutes, so you can sleep at one and eat or swim at the other. Neither hotel publishes a walking time, so allow extra with strollers.

Bottom line

Signia vs Waldorf Astoria Orlando comes down to pool and room, not perks: both get Early Entry, the same shuttle and the same $50 resort charge. Pick Signia for the lazy river on your doorstep, cheaper self-parking and the extra under-6 breakfast offer; pick the Waldorf for bigger rooms, a quiet deck and the spa and steakhouse downstairs. Confirm parking, pool hours and shuttle times on the hotels’ pages before you book.
