The best luxury resorts in Orlando are the Four Seasons and the Waldorf Astoria next to Walt Disney World, Disney’s own Grand Floridian, the Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott at Grande Lakes, and Loews Portofino Bay at Universal, with Conrad, Signia, Swan Reserve, JW Marriott Bonnet Creek, Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, Omni, Reunion and Gaylord Palms completing our 14 picks.

What separates them is practical: how you reach the parks, whether you get Disney’s Early Theme Park Entry or free Universal Express, the pools and kids’ clubs, and the extras. Most luxury resorts off Disney and Universal property add a resort fee of about $40 to $55 a night plus tax, before parking.

Quick answer: For Disney, book the Four Seasons Resort Orlando (Early Entry, free kids’ camp, 5-acre water area) or Disney’s Grand Floridian (monorail and both Disney perks). For Universal, Loews Portofino Bay includes free Express Unlimited at two parks. The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes is the only Forbes Five-Star hotel in the Orlando area at the time of writing. For a water park at the hotel, look at JW Marriott Grande Lakes, Signia, Reunion or Gaylord Palms.

How we chose these luxury resorts in Orlando

We compared location and park transport, the amenities and perks on each resort’s official website, fee and parking disclosure, and Forbes Travel Guide ratings. We do not assign scores or claim first-hand stays. Facts were checked on official pages in October 2026 (older archived pages are marked “at last check”), so confirm terms before you book. Rates vary by season, availability and how far ahead you book.

The family draw is Explorer Island, a 5-acre water area for resort guests with a lazy river, two 242-foot waterslides (42-inch minimum), a zero-entry pool and a splash zone. Kids For All Seasons, the daily camp for ages 4 to 12, is complimentary. Adults get Oasis, an infinity-edge pool for ages 21 and up, an 18-room spa and the Tom Fazio-designed Tranquilo golf course. Capa, the steakhouse on the 17th floor, has a rooftop terrace facing the Disney fireworks.

  • Getting there / to the parks: free scheduled coaches to all four Disney parks, about hourly to each at the time of writing (Magic Kingdom via the TTC). Disney Springs, Universal and SeaWorld transfers cost extra. No Extended Evening Hours.
  • Good to know: a nightly resort fee applies: the resort’s January 2026 map lists $55 per room plus tax, while Booking.com’s price breakdown showed US$60 plus tax in October 2026, so confirm it at booking. Parking is valet only, for a fee. Breakfast is not included; Ravello hosts a Goofy character breakfast on Thursdays and Saturdays.

Best for: families who want Disney perks and a water park, and couples who want an adults-only pool and golf.

Deluxe rooms are 448 sq ft with a marble bath and soaking tub, and the Oversized Deluxe Queen sleeps five with a rollaway. Its own pools are calm, but guests may also use Signia’s pool, lazy river and waterslide next door. The WA Kids Club (ages 5 to 12) is paid.

Disney’s Victorian-style flagship sits on the Seven Seas Lagoon, on the Resort monorail loop to Magic Kingdom, with boats to the park too. Visit Orlando lists 867 rooms, and The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian add Disney Vacation Club villas. The Beach Pool sits beside the lagoon, with cabanas for rent, and the Grand Floridian Spa is on site.

Disney says Victoria & Albert’s has held a MICHELIN star since 2024, AAA Five Diamond every year since 2000 and Forbes Five-Star since 2018. The prix-fixe menu starts at $295 per guest before tax and tip, for ages 10 and up.

  • Why stay: both Disney perks, Early Theme Park Entry every day and Extended Evening Hours on select nights (Disney says both continue through 2027), plus the 7-day Lightning Lane booking window.

  • Good to know: no resort fee, free overnight self-parking and included standard park parking (others pay $35 a day). Valet is $42 a night plus tax. Confirm the Conrad schedule. No Early Entry.

Five-star resorts in Orlando: what the ratings say

How to choose a luxury resort in Orlando

Disney-focused trips

Disney’s Deluxe resorts have both Disney perks and Disney transport. Among other brands, the Four Seasons, Waldorf Astoria and Signia get Early Entry and run their own coaches, and the Swan Reserve adds Extended Evening Hours. See our best hotels near Disney World.

Universal and Epic Universe

Loews Portofino Bay is the luxury choice for the two original parks because free Express saves hours in line. If Epic Universe matters most, Helios Grand is inside the park, and Grande Lakes is about 4 to 5 miles away by road.

Both Disney and Universal

Grande Lakes sits between the two, about 7 to 9 miles from Universal’s garages and about 11 miles from EPCOT by road, with a shuttle to both. Many travelers split the stay; compare the best areas to stay in Orlando.

Couples, spa and golf

The Ritz-Carlton is the most spa-centered stay, with an adults-only spa lap pool. The Four Seasons (Oasis, 21 and up), JW Marriott Bonnet Creek and Omni also have adults-only pools. For more spa stays, see Orlando spa resorts.

Big groups

Margaritaville’s cottages take up to 18 guests, Reunion’s homes go up to 14 bedrooms, Omni’s villa FAQ says its two- and three-bedroom villas sleep 6 or 8 (its homepage says up to 10 for three bedrooms, so confirm), and Evermore’s vacation houses next to the Conrad have 5 to 11 bedrooms.

Head to head: Signia vs Waldorf Astoria Orlando and our adults-only resorts in Orlando guide.

Frequently asked questions

What is the most luxurious resort in Orlando?

By inspection-based ratings, it is The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes, the only Forbes Five-Star hotel on Forbes Travel Guide’s Orlando page at the time of writing. Near Disney, the Four Seasons and Waldorf Astoria are Forbes Four-Star, and the Four Seasons says it is AAA Five Diamond. Disney’s flagship is the Grand Floridian.

Are there any 5-star resorts in Orlando?

Yes, by Forbes Travel Guide at the time of writing: the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes is rated Five-Star, and Victoria & Albert’s at the Grand Floridian is a Five-Star restaurant. The Four Seasons, Waldorf Astoria, JW Marriott Grande Lakes and Conrad are Four-Star. Booking sites’ own “5-star” labels are not inspections, so check the rating’s source.

Which luxury resort in Orlando is best for families?

The Four Seasons Resort Orlando is the strongest all-round pick: a free kids’ camp for ages 4 to 12, a 5-acre water area with a lazy river and slides, and Disney Early Entry. JW Marriott Grande Lakes has a full waterpark, Signia a lazy river with Early Entry, Conrad a beach lagoon and Gaylord Palms a water park.

Which luxury resorts near Disney World get Early Theme Park Entry?

Every Disney-owned resort, including the Grand Floridian, plus select hotels such as the Four Seasons, Waldorf Astoria, Signia by Hilton and the Swan Reserve. Conrad, JW Marriott Bonnet Creek, Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, Omni, Reunion and Gaylord Palms are not on Disney’s list. The perk lets you in 30 minutes early with valid park admission.

Do luxury resorts in Orlando charge resort fees?

Most do off Disney and Universal property, usually about $40 to $55 plus tax per night at the time of writing. Disney-owned resorts charge none, and Loews Portofino Bay and Hard Rock list none, though Universal hotels charge for parking. Check what the fee covers: at the Waldorf, Signia and Gaylord it pays for the Disney shuttle.

What is the best luxury hotel for Universal and Epic Universe?

Loews Portofino Bay is the top luxury choice for Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, because free Express Unlimited covers both parks and free buses run to Epic Universe, where Express does not work. If Epic is your main park, Universal Helios Grand has a private entrance into it, and Grande Lakes is about 4 to 5 miles away.

Bottom line

The luxury resorts in Orlando worth paying for are the ones whose perks match your plans: the Four Seasons or Grand Floridian for Disney, Loews Portofino Bay for Universal, and the Five-Star Ritz-Carlton for spa and golf. Budget for fees and parking, then check current rates at the Four Seasons or your top pick above.
