Orlando Hotels With Water Parks and Waterslides: 15 Best Picks

The best Orlando hotels with water parks put slides, a lazy river and a splash zone a short walk from your room, and at most of them the nightly resort fee pays for entry. This guide compares 15 resorts with an on-site (or next-door) water park or a multi-slide pool complex, from Winter Garden and Kissimmee to Lake Buena Vista, International Drive and Universal, plus big-slide hotels and Disney’s best pools.

We checked fees, height rules and shuttles on each hotel’s own pages in October 2026. Timing matters this fall: Universal’s Volcano Bay closes for the season from October 26, 2026, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon is closed for refurbishment, and Island H2O ends its season on October 31.

Quick answer: for a full water park plus suites with kitchens, book The Grove Resort & Water Park; for seven slides and a rainy-day backup, Gaylord Palms; for value near Disney with a FlowRider, the Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites – Waterpark; for a budget base near Universal, CoCo Key; for luxury with Disney’s Early Theme Park Entry, the Four Seasons; and for a wave pool, Omni ChampionsGate (included) or Westgate Lakes (ticket extra).

How we chose these Orlando water park hotels

  • Verified water features: slides, lazy rivers and wave pools listed on the hotel’s own site, with counts and heights only where published.
  • Included or extra: whether the resort fee covers entry, for how many guests, and where you need a ticket.
  • Location and transport: Disney, Universal and outer resort areas, each hotel’s own shuttle, and OSRM road miles.
  • No scores: we don’t rank by review ratings. Full water parks come first, then resort pool complexes.

We left out the Ramada Flamingo Hotel & Waterpark on East US-192 because we couldn’t find a reliable Booking.com listing for it. For gentle floating rather than slides, see our companion guide to Orlando hotels with lazy rivers.

How to choose an Orlando water park hotel

Near Disney World and Lake Buena Vista

Signia and the Four Seasons add Early Theme Park Entry; the Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites, the World Center Marriott and Gaylord Palms are about 5 miles from EPCOT with Disney shuttles in the fee. More choices: our hotels with free Disney World shuttles.

Near Universal and International Drive

Cabana Bay lets you walk to Universal; CoCo Key (about 2 miles) and Westgate Lakes (about 4) have free Universal shuttles. JW Marriott Grande Lakes is the upscale choice near Epic Universe. For ten options with Universal shuttle and Volcano Bay details, see hotels with water parks near Universal.

Wave pools and lazy rivers

Omni ChampionsGate calls its wave pool Orlando’s only resort wave pool, but Westgate Lakes’ Treasure Cove also lists one (ticket required), and Island H2O has one next to Margaritaville. The longest lazy rivers here are at Grande Lakes (a quarter mile) and Orange Lake (1,200 feet).

Plan around the weather

Water areas close for nearby lightning (within 3 miles at The Grove, 10 at CoCo Key), and summer afternoon storms are common, so swim in the morning. Our best time to visit Orlando guide explains the seasons. Disney points guests to Blizzard Beach while Typhoon Lagoon is closed.

Frequently asked questions

Which Orlando hotel has the best water park?

For a full water park included in your stay, The Grove’s Surfari (dual slides, a 695-foot lazy river and a FlowRider) and Gaylord Palms’ three-acre Cypress Springs with seven slides are the most complete. CoCo Key packs 14 slides and rides at a budget price, and the Four Seasons’ Explorer Island leads for luxury.

Which hotels near Disney World have a water park?

The Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites – Waterpark, Orlando World Center Marriott and Gaylord Palms are each about 5 miles from EPCOT by road, with Disney shuttles in the resort fee. The Four Seasons and Signia add Early Theme Park Entry. Westgate Vacation Villas is about 3 miles from Animal Kingdom, but its water park costs extra.

Is there a water park hotel near Universal Studios?

Yes. CoCo Key on International Drive is about 2 miles from Universal’s garages and runs free scheduled Universal shuttles. Westgate Lakes, about 4 miles away, has a wave pool and slides but charges most guests $25 a day. Cabana Bay, a Universal hotel, has a slide and a lazy river. Our guide to water park hotels near Universal compares ten of them.

Is the water park included in the resort fee?

Usually, yes. At The Grove, Gaylord Palms, the Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites, CoCo Key, the World Center Marriott and FantasyWorld, the resort fee covers entry, though some cap it at four or six guests per room. Westgate Lakes and Westgate Vacation Villas charge $25 per person per day, and Margaritaville’s free Island H2O vouchers were posted only through October 31, 2026.

Can you use a hotel water park without staying there?

Sometimes. Surf & Splash at the Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites sells seasonal day passes from $25 per adult and $20 per child aged 4 to 12, and CoCo Key and The Grove sell day passes too. The Four Seasons, Reunion, Encore and the two Westgate parks are for guests staying on property.

Are there water park hotels in downtown Orlando?

No. Downtown hotels have pools but no water parks; the nearest are CoCo Key and Cabana Bay, about 9 miles southwest by road, roughly 15 minutes without traffic. There’s no Great Wolf Lodge in Orlando either; the chain’s only Florida lodge is in Naples.

Bottom line

For most families, The Grove Resort & Water Park is the best all-round Orlando water park hotel: a real water park, kitchen suites and park shuttles in the resort fee. Pick Gaylord Palms for slides plus an indoor backup, the Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites or CoCo Key on a budget, and the Four Seasons for luxury.
