The best hotels near Old Town Kissimmee line a short stretch of W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway (US-192), about a mile east of I-4, where five properties sit within roughly a 10-minute walk of the brick streets, the Ferris wheel and the Saturday night car cruise. A few more, including two full resorts, are a 3- to 5-minute drive away.
Old Town is an evening place: the car cruises roll at 8:30 PM and parking in the big lot can cost you. Staying close means you can walk over after a park day without moving the car. It also puts you about 6.5 to 8 miles by road from the EPCOT and Magic Kingdom parking lots.
Below are 8 hotels, roughly closest first, with the walking distance we measured, plus the breakfast, shuttle and parking terms each one publishes. What’s at Old Town Kissimmee today
Old Town opened in December 1986 at 5770 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway. It describes itself as an 18-acre open-air walking district with more than 70 shops, restaurants, bars, rides and attractions. A 2019 renovation added the 86-foot Ferris wheel.
The rides include the Ferris wheel, the Hurricane roller coaster, a carousel, the Paratrooper, the Happy Days Family Fun Center arcade and Mortem Manor, a haunted attraction that opens Wednesday through Sunday from 6 PM, according to Old Town’s FAQ. At last check, Old Town was open every day from 11 AM to 9 PM Sunday through Thursday and until 11 PM on Friday and Saturday.
Next door, at 2850 Florida Plaza Boulevard, Fun Spot America Kissimmee has go-karts on multi-level tracks, the Mine Blower wooden coaster and a 300-foot Skycoaster that Fun Spot calls the world’s tallest. Hours change by day, so check Fun Spot’s calendar.
Weekly events at Old Town
| Day | Event | Times (at last check) |
|---|---|---|
| Wednesday | Bike Night | 6 to 10 PM |
| Thursday | Karaoke | See Old Town’s calendar |
| Friday | Muscle Car Show and Cruise | From 3 PM; cruise 8:30 PM |
| Saturday | Classic Car Show and Cruise | From 1 PM; cruise 8:30 PM |
| First Sunday | Import Car Show | See Old Town’s calendar |
The Saturday show is the famous one. Old Town says it’s the longest-running weekly car show and cruise in America, for cars built before 1985, with up to 250 cruisers. Spectators watch for free. Old Town also lists signature events: VetteFest on the first Saturday in October (October 3 in 2026), Halloween on October 31, the Fourth of July and New Year’s Eve.
Parking at Old Town (and why a walkable hotel helps)
Old Town’s parking page says there are free lots behind the buildings and a larger lot of more than 650 spaces off Florida Plaza Boulevard, across from Fun Spot. That lot costs $11 plus tax and fees per car, paid by QR code or text, and special events may cost more. Old Town’s FAQ disagrees in part: it says the big lot is free Monday through Thursday and paid, cash only, on weekends, so read the signs. On a Saturday cruise night, walking from your hotel saves the fee and the hunt for a space.
How we chose: We started from Old Town’s US-192 entrance and measured walking routes with OpenStreetMap-based routing (FOSSGIS) and driving routes with OSRM, not straight lines. We checked breakfast, shuttles, parking and fees on official hotel pages and Disney’s Good Neighbor Hotel listings in October 2026 (“at last check” marks older figures). We favored short walks, free breakfast, free shuttles and kitchens, and we don’t assign scores.

The two-story blocks wrap around landscaped courtyards with three outdoor pools, which the hotel says are open from 9 AM to midnight.
Every unit is a suite with a separate living room and a fully equipped kitchen: stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, dishwasher and cookware. One-bedroom suites sleep 4 (king) or 6, and two-bedroom suites sleep 8, 10 or 12 depending on the layout. There’s also mini golf, beach tennis, a playground, barbecue areas, 24-hour laundry rooms and Express Café, which serves coffee, sandwiches and Brazilian snacks such as pão de queijo.
