The cheap hotels near Magic Kingdom that make the most sense are the value hotels on Hotel Plaza Boulevard, about 6 to 6.5 miles by road from the park’s Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC), plus budget hotels in Flamingo Crossings, Marriott Village and Kissimmee whose free shuttles run to Magic Kingdom. None is within walking distance, so what matters is how you get there and what each day costs.

We measured each road route to Magic Kingdom’s parking area, pulled sample shuttle times from hotel pages and the shuttle operator’s booking system in October 2026, and checked fees and parking. For budget picks across all four parks, see our list of cheap hotels near Disney World.

Quick answer: Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando is the best all-round value: no resort fee, free hot breakfast and an evening Kickback, Early Theme Park Entry and free buses to the TTC from about 7 a.m. Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista is the closest at about 6 miles. With a car, the Ramada by Wyndham Kissimmee Gateway has free parking about 7 miles away and a free 8:45 a.m. Magic Kingdom run. For free parking plus free breakfast, look at the Baymont just off US 192.

How getting to Magic Kingdom works from an off-site hotel

Magic Kingdom sits across Seven Seas Lagoon from its parking area. Drivers park at the TTC, off-site shuttles that publish their stop drop off there too, and you finish by ferryboat or Express monorail. Disney says the Resort and Express monorails start 30 minutes before the park opens and stop an hour after it closes, and most boat routes run every 15 to 30 minutes.

Drury Plaza names the TTC as its Magic Kingdom drop-off, and the shuttle operator used by several hotels here labels the stop “Magic Kingdom / TTC / Monorail to Epcot.” Allow time for the crossing, especially on Early Entry mornings. Disney’s transportation map shows a separate Magic Kingdom Park bus stop near the park entrance for its own buses, one reason a Disney Value resort is worth pricing (see below).

Drivers pay Disney $35 a day for standard parking ($50, $55 or $60 preferred), tax included, at the time of writing; one payment covers all four parks that day. Our Magic Kingdom tips for first-timers cover the rest of the park day.

How we chose these cheap hotels near Magic Kingdom

  • Distance: road miles to the Magic Kingdom lot at the TTC, by OpenStreetMap routing (OSRM) on public roads, without traffic. Hotels often quote shorter “to Disney property” figures.
  • Transport: a Magic Kingdom shuttle confirmed on the hotel’s own page or in the operator’s booking system (sample dates October 21 and November 14, 2026), or an hourly service to all four parks.
  • Value: budget and midscale hotels, with fees and parking from official pages or, where a hotel publishes none, Booking.com’s price breakdown for a sample late-2026 stay.
  • No prices or scores: rates vary by season, availability and how far ahead you book, and we haven’t stayed at these hotels.

What a Magic Kingdom day really costs from a cheap hotel

A low nightly rate can hide three daily charges: the resort fee, hotel parking and Disney’s parking. With the published figures above (before tax):

  • Driving from a hotel that charges for parking: at Wyndham Garden, $30 plus tax at the hotel and $35 at Disney comes to $65 plus the hotel’s parking tax for one car, on top of the $36-plus-tax resort fee. At Drury Plaza, $28 and $35 come to $63 plus the hotel’s parking tax, with no resort fee.
  • Driving from a hotel with free parking: the Ramada, the Holiday Inn SW and the Baymont charge nothing to park, so your parking cost is Disney’s $35. Their mandatory fees on Booking.com ($18, $15 and $14.70 plus tax) still apply every night.
  • Taking the shuttle: you skip Disney’s $35, but hotel parking is charged nightly whether or not the car moves, and fixed return times can end your day early; miss the last bus and you pay for a rideshare.

Breakfast matters too: Drury, TownePlace, Home2, the Fairfield and the Baymont include it, while the other four don’t unless your rate says so. For more on how mandatory fees work, read our guide to Orlando resort fees explained.

Cheaper ways to stay inside Walt Disney World

Disney’s own resorts aren’t sold on Booking.com, but they belong in the comparison because they change the transport maths.

  • Disney’s Value Resorts: All-Star Movies, All-Star Music, All-Star Sports, Pop Century and Art of Animation make up Disney’s Value Resort Hotels category. Disney’s buses run to the parks from 45 minutes before opening until an hour after closing, overnight and standard theme park parking are included, and you get Early Entry plus the 7-day Lightning Lane booking window (every hotel on our list gets 3 days). Disney flags construction or refurbishment at Pop Century, All-Star Movies and Art of Animation, so read each notice.
  • The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort: bring a tent or an RV and you stay in the Magic Kingdom Resort Area, with water launches to the park, Early Entry, up to 8 guests per site and parking for one vehicle per campsite.
  • Shades of Green: this Armed Forces Recreation Center resort on Walt Disney World property is on Disney’s Early Entry list, but only eligible military patrons can book it (honorably discharged veterans can stay in January and September, subject to availability).

How to choose a cheap hotel near Magic Kingdom

  • No car, early starts: Drury Plaza (first come, first served buses from about 7 a.m.) or the other two Hotel Plaza Boulevard hotels with hourly, reserved buses.
  • No car, later starts: the Fairfield at Marriott Village (9 a.m., 10 a.m. and noon) or Flamingo Crossings (two morning runs).
  • Driving anyway: the Ramada, Holiday Inn SW or Baymont for free hotel parking, then $35 at Disney.
  • Cooking some meals: TownePlace or Home2 at Flamingo Crossings.
  • Doing all four parks: compare our picks of cheap hotels near EPCOT and the wider hotels near Magic Kingdom with a shuttle, or our hub of the best hotels near Disney World.

Frequently asked questions

What is the cheapest hotel near Magic Kingdom?

It depends on your dates, so compare totals rather than headline rates. On daily extras, the Baymont, the Holiday Inn SW and the Ramada on US 192 have free parking and mandatory fees of $14.70 to $18 plus tax on Booking.com, and the Baymont adds free breakfast. Drury Plaza, closer at about 6.3 miles, can come out ahead once you count its free breakfast and Kickback.

Which cheap hotels have a free shuttle to Magic Kingdom?

Drury Plaza runs free buses to the TTC throughout the day with no reservation. The Ramada (8:45 a.m.), the Holiday Inn SW (8:35 a.m.), the Baymont (9:35 a.m.), TownePlace and Home2 at Flamingo Crossings (two morning runs) and the Fairfield at Marriott Village (three) also list free runs. Wyndham Garden calls its hourly buses complimentary (its resort fee applies anyway), and the Disney Springs Holiday Inn’s resort fee covers its hourly buses.

Do hotel shuttles drop you at the Magic Kingdom entrance?

Not usually. Drury Plaza and the operator used by the Flamingo Crossings, Marriott Village, Ramada and Holiday Inn SW shuttles both name the Transportation and Ticket Center as the Magic Kingdom stop. From there you ride the ferryboat or the Express monorail, which starts 30 minutes before the park opens, so leave extra time on Early Entry mornings.

How much does it cost to park at Magic Kingdom?

At the time of writing, Disney charges $35 a day for standard theme park parking and $50, $55 or $60 for preferred parking, depending on the date, tax included. One payment covers all four theme parks that day. Standard parking is included for guests of Disney Resort hotels, but off-site hotel guests pay it on top of any parking charge at their own hotel.

Is a Disney Value resort cheaper than an off-site hotel near Magic Kingdom?

Often not on the room rate, but the gap can shrink. Disney’s Value Resorts include free overnight and standard theme park parking, buses from 45 minutes before opening, Early Entry and the 7-day Lightning Lane window. Off-site hotels may include breakfast or a kitchen, and some charge resort fees and parking. Price both for your exact dates.

Can you walk to Magic Kingdom from a cheap hotel?

No. The hotels Disney describes as within walking distance are its Contemporary Resort and the Grand Floridian, both Deluxe resorts. Every budget hotel on this list is about 6 to 9.5 miles away by road, so you’ll drive, take a hotel shuttle or book a rideshare, and finish the trip from the TTC by ferry or monorail.

Bottom line

Among cheap hotels near Magic Kingdom, Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando gives you the most for your money: no resort fee, free hot breakfast and an evening Kickback, Early Entry and free buses to the TTC from early morning. Choose Wyndham Garden or the Disney Springs Holiday Inn for the shortest drive, and the Ramada, Holiday Inn SW or Baymont if you’ll drive and want free parking. Rates vary by season, availability and how far ahead you book.
