Hotels near Disney World with airport shuttle service are rarer than the filters on booking sites suggest. No Disney Resort hotel has included an airport ride since Disney’s Magical Express ended in January 2022, and almost no hotel near the parks runs its own van to Orlando International Airport (MCO). What does exist is Mears Connect, a paid shared shuttle that stops at every Disney-owned resort and at 14 other hotels, plus a few resorts whose concierge books a private car for a fee.

We read the official page of every hotel below, Mears Connect’s list of hotels served, the airport’s ground-transportation pages and Disney’s transportation pages in October 2026. Each pick explains the airport link, what it costs and what the hotel adds on top.

Quick answer: For a car-free arrival, book a Mears Connect stop: the Walt Disney World Dolphin, Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando, Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace, Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista, Wyndham Lake Buena Vista, Gaylord Palms or Orlando World Center Marriott. At the time of writing, Mears charged $17.60 per adult and $14.30 per child (ages 3 to 9) one way from the airport, plus a 6% fuel surcharge. From about four travelers, a metered taxi costs about the same or less on the airport’s own estimates; the private cars some resorts arrange cost more but go door to door.

Why “airport shuttle” rarely means a free hotel van near Disney

Disney’s resort transportation page lists only buses, boats, the monorail and the Skyliner as complimentary, all inside Walt Disney World; its Minnie Van service is paid, through the Lyft app. Disney’s Help Center says airport transportation is not included with a Disney Resort hotel stay and lists a paid Minnie Van airport service to and from MCO for guests of Deluxe and Deluxe Villa resorts and Club Level rooms (up to six passengers, up to two free car seats), booked by phone from 60 days to 2 days before your visit; Disney publishes no fare, so ask when you call. Off-site, free airport vans are an airport-hotel perk: the Orlando hotels with a free airport shuttle sit within a few miles of the terminals, 17 to 27 miles from the hotels here. The Sunshine Flyer merged into Mears Connect in August 2023, and sunshineflyer.com now redirects to mearsconnect.com.

How we chose these hotels

  • A verified airport link: every hotel appears on Mears Connect’s list of hotels served, with a published pickup spot, or states on its own official page that it arranges airport transfers.
  • Location: nine of the ten sit on or beside Disney property; the Omni ChampionsGate, about 12 miles out, is the exception.
  • Verified park transport: each has a Disney shuttle or Disney’s own transportation, so the whole trip can be car-free. We say when the shuttle is paid for through a resort fee.
  • Value and honesty: fees and parking come from official pages at the time of writing and can change; no review scores. Road distances are OSRM routes from MCO’s main terminal (Terminal C is a little farther), with drive times assuming no traffic.

Mears Connect’s arrival fares include a privilege fee recovery charge (PFRC) of $1.60 per adult or $1.30 per child; a round trip is $33.60 per adult and $27.30 per child, and children under 3 ride free. Mears says vehicles leave every 20 to 30 minutes, the ride takes 30 to 60 minutes with stops, and the return pickup is about 3 hours before a domestic flight or 4 before an international one; cancellation is free until 24 hours before travel. It also picks up at Terminal C, a short walk from the Brightline Orlando station. The taxi figures are the airport’s own estimates and look dated; its taxi page says fares must be metered. For rental-car tolls and parking, see our guide to getting from Orlando airport to Disney World and our Orlando airport guide.

Traveling with small children? Florida Statute 316.613 requires children 5 and younger to ride in a crash-tested, federally approved child restraint (a separate carrier or integrated seat through age 3; a carrier, integrated seat or booster at 4 and 5). Chauffeur-driven taxis, limousines, vans and buses are exempt, but the statute places the obligation on the parent or guardian. Mears says car seats are not required on its motorcoaches, keeps a limited number in its vans and lets you bring your own for the vans.

Mears Connect stops near Disney: hotels with a scheduled, paid airport shuttle

These seven hotels appear on Mears Connect’s official list with a published pickup spot for the return trip. You book with Mears, not the hotel.

1. Walt Disney World Dolphin

The Dolphin sits on Crescent Lake between EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios: the resort’s transportation FAQ points arrivals to Mears Connect and also arranges paid private transfers, and Disney’s transportation takes over from there. Marriott runs it, so it is sold on Booking.com. Its transportation page lists water taxis to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios about every 20 to 25 minutes (walkways reach both parks) and buses to Magic Kingdom’s Transportation and Ticket Center, Animal Kingdom and Disney Springs. Guests get Early Theme Park Entry, Extended Evening Hours on select nights and the 7-day Lightning Lane window.

  • Why stay: Walk to two parks, ride Disney buses to the rest and never think about a car.
  • Getting there / to the parks: About 21 to 22 miles by road from MCO’s main terminal, roughly 35 to 40 minutes without traffic. For the return shuttle, Mears says to exit the main lobby and go straight ahead to the middle outside lane under the porte-cochere.
  • Good to know: A mandatory resort service package of $50 plus tax per night and self-parking at $40 plus tax per day applied at the time of writing; theme park parking is free for guests who drive.

Best for: Families who want Disney’s buses and boats plus a Mears Connect stop at a hotel sold on Booking.com. See our Walt Disney World Dolphin review.

2. Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando – Disney Springs Area

This 2000 Hotel Plaza Boulevard hotel is the value pick for a car-free Disney trip. Its transportation page sends airport arrivals to Mears Connect, and the rate covers a hot breakfast, the evening 5:30 Kickback with hot food and drinks, and a free hourly shuttle to all four Disney theme parks, first come, first served. There is no resort fee, Disney Springs is about half a mile on foot, and guests get Early Theme Park Entry.

  • Why stay: Breakfast, evening snacks and park transport included, with no resort fee to cancel out the Mears fare.
  • Getting there / to the parks: About 18 miles from MCO’s main terminal, roughly 30 minutes. Mears picks up outside the main lobby exit, near the theme park shuttle staging area. The shuttle serves Magic Kingdom (via the Transportation and Ticket Center), EPCOT, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom.
  • Good to know: Self-parking was $28 a night at the time of writing (the hotel FAQ still said $25 plus tax). Standard rooms sleep up to five and suites up to six.

Best for: Value-minded families. Details in our Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando guide.

3. Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace – Disney Springs Area

From this 1900 Buena Vista Drive tower, a path by the pool leads to a pedestrian skybridge and Disney Springs, a 5- to 7-minute walk by the hotel’s estimate. The hotel’s FAQ puts the airport about 15 miles away (our road route says about 18.5) and lists taxis, an on-site Alamo desk and the Mears Connect shuttle; it runs no airport van of its own. The Disney shuttle leaves hourly for all four parks, reservations required both ways and bookable up to 72 hours ahead, and guests get Early Theme Park Entry.

  • Why stay: Disney Springs on foot, a hotel shuttle to the parks, and a float lagoon between park days.
  • Getting there / to the parks: For the return trip, Mears says to go downstairs inside the hotel to the Bus Transportation area, not the Convention Center entrance. Park shuttle pickup is outside the first-floor courtyard next to the fitness center.
  • Good to know: The resort fee was $41 plus tax per night at the time of writing (Wi-Fi, the Disney shuttle, float lagoon access and dining discounts). Self-parking was $38 and valet $48 plus 6.5% tax.

Best for: Couples and families who want Disney Springs on foot and Early Entry. See our Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace review.

4. Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista – Disney Springs Area

The other skybridge hotel, at 1751 Hotel Plaza Boulevard, gives you the same walk to Disney Springs from a lower-rise property. Hilton’s location page (March 2026 copy) says the airport is 25 minutes away and names taxis, an Avis desk and the Mears Connect shuttle. Shuttles to the four Disney parks run hourly with reservations, bookable 72 hours ahead; the page listed first departures 90 minutes before park opening and last returns 60 minutes after closing. Early Theme Park Entry is included.

  • Why stay: Skybridge to Disney Springs, Early Entry and a reservation-based shuttle to all four parks.
  • Getting there / to the parks: About 18 miles from MCO, roughly 30 minutes. Mears picks up outside the main lobby, in the outside lane farthest from the entrance under the porte-cochere.
  • Good to know: Hilton does not publish the resort charge amount (some room descriptions mention $38); it covers the shuttle and internet, and breakfast only for children 5 and under. Parking was $38 self and $48 valet plus tax on Hilton’s policy page but $35 and $45 on its location page, so confirm.

Best for: Families who want Disney Springs on foot without a high-rise. See our Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista review.

5. Wyndham Lake Buena Vista – Disney Springs Resort Area

This 1850 Hotel Plaza Boulevard tower sits a short walk over a pedestrian bridge from Disney Springs. Its FAQ says the hotel provides no airport shuttle and recommends Mears Connect, taxis or rideshare, and Mears lists it (with the neighboring Wyndham Garden) as a stop. The Disney shuttle leaves hourly for the four parks from 90 minutes before opening until 90 minutes after closing, reservations required; it skips the water parks, runDisney events and after-hours parties. Early Theme Park Entry applies.

  • Why stay: Disney View rooms face Disney Springs and the parks (the hotel says fireworks are “off in the distance”), and the pedestrian bridge starts beside the front entrance.
  • Getting there / to the parks: About 18 miles from MCO’s main terminal, roughly 30 minutes. Mears picks up outside the main lobby in the outside lane farthest from the entrance, not under the porte-cochere.
  • Good to know: The resort fee was $36 plus tax and gated self-parking $30 plus tax per night at the time of writing, both “subject to change.”

Best for: Budget-conscious families who still want Early Entry. More in our Wyndham Lake Buena Vista review.

6. Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center

Gaylord Palms, at 6000 West Osceola Parkway in Kissimmee, has a glass-roofed atrium, the Cypress Springs water park and ICE! at Christmas (November 13, 2026 to January 3, 2027). Marriott’s pages list the airport at 19.3 miles and (June 2026 copy) say the hotel provides no airport shuttle; Mears Connect lists the resort as a stop. The Disney shuttle to all four parks and Disney Springs is included in the resort fee and bookable up to five days ahead. The resort is not on Disney’s Early Entry list, and at last check every room type sold online slept four at most.

  • Why stay: Water park, atrium and a Disney shuttle in one place, about 3 miles from Hollywood Studios.
  • Getting there / to the parks: About 19 miles from MCO’s main terminal, roughly 30 minutes. For the return shuttle, Mears says to exit the main lobby, turn right and go to the Transportation Lobby porte-cochere bus lanes.
  • Good to know: The resort fee was $45 plus tax per day at the time of writing, covering the Disney shuttle, Wi-Fi and water park admission for up to four guests. Self-parking was $40 plus tax (the Christmas FAQ said $38) and valet $55.

Best for: Pool-and-park trips and the holidays. See our Gaylord Palms review.

7. Orlando World Center Marriott

This 2,000-plus-room resort at 8701 World Center Drive is on the Mears Connect route, although Marriott’s overview (June 2026 copy) says the hotel does not provide shuttle service to the airport, 17 miles away. A scheduled shuttle to all four Disney parks and Disney Springs is included in the resort fee (reserve up to 3 days ahead), the River Falls Waterpark has a 575-foot lazy river and slides, and the resort is not on Disney’s Early Entry list.

  • Why stay: A big pool scene and golf for the non-park days, with the Disney shuttle covered by the fee you pay anyway.
  • Getting there / to the parks: About 17 miles from MCO’s main terminal, under 30 minutes without traffic; EPCOT and Disney Springs are about 5 miles away. Mears picks up outside the main lobby, in the outside lane farthest from the entrance.
  • Good to know: The resort fee was $47 plus tax per night at the time of writing. Marriott listed self-parking at $40 and valet at $61 a day before tax (its June 2026 overview still showed $57 for valet).

Best for: Groups who will spend as much time at the pool as in the parks. Read our Orlando World Center Marriott review.

Resorts that book a private airport car for you (paid)

None of the next three is a Mears Connect stop. Each states on its official site that it arranges or recommends a private transfer, priced per vehicle. The published quotes cost more than shuttle seats for most families, but the ride is private and goes straight to your hotel.

8. Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort

The Four Seasons, at 10100 Dream Tree Boulevard in Golden Oak, has a getting-here page that (April 2026 copy) says the resort can arrange a private transfer from Orlando International Airport in a sedan, SUV or luxury van, with fees that vary, and puts the airport about 21 miles and 30 minutes away. A free scheduled coach runs to Magic Kingdom (via the Transportation and Ticket Center), EPCOT, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom, about once an hour per park at the time of writing, and guests get Early Theme Park Entry every day.

  • Why stay: Explorer Island’s water slides and lazy river, Early Entry and a concierge who handles the airport run.
  • Getting there / to the parks: About 21 to 22 miles from MCO by road. The transfer is quoted per vehicle, so ask whether tolls, gratuity and car seats are included.
  • Good to know: A mandatory nightly resort fee applies ($55 per room plus tax on the resort’s January 2026 map; Booking.com’s price breakdown showed US$60 plus tax in October 2026), and parking is valet only, for a fee.

Best for: Luxury trips with children. More in our Four Seasons Resort Orlando guide.

9. Waldorf Astoria Orlando

The Waldorf Astoria, at 14200 Bonnet Creek Resort Lane, publishes transfer prices. Its FAQ says the hotel does not provide airport transportation directly and quoted two partners at the time of writing: Skyline (a luxury SUV for up to 5 at $135 one way, a Sprinter for 6 to 14 at $245) and Mears (a sedan for up to 3 at $132 from the airport or $115 back; an SUV or van for 5 to 8 at $165 or $147). A complimentary shuttle to all four Disney parks and Disney Springs is covered by the resort charge, and guests get Early Theme Park Entry. The hotel lists the airport at 18 miles; by road from the main terminal it is about 21.

  • Why stay: Published transfer prices, Early Entry and a resort charge that includes a free kids’ dinner (ages 12 and under, one per adult entrée).
  • Getting there / to the parks: About 21 miles from MCO, roughly 35 minutes. The Disney shuttle schedule varies by day; check with the front desk or concierge.
  • Good to know: The daily resort charge was $50 plus tax (Wi-Fi for two devices, the shuttle, golf practice access, lazy-river tubes at Signia and the kids’ dinner). Parking is valet only at $60 plus tax per day.

Best for: Groups of five to eight who want a private, fixed-price SUV or van. See our Waldorf Astoria Orlando guide.

10. Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate

The Omni, at 1500 Masters Boulevard in ChampionsGate, is the farthest hotel here, about 27 miles from the airport by our road route (its directions page says 32 miles and 25 minutes) and 12 miles from Walt Disney World. At the time of writing, its directions page listed about $82 by taxi from MCO and about $100 back for one to four passengers, or $120 to $145 by Mears town car from the airport and $104 back. Complimentary scheduled Disney transportation, reservations required, is covered by the resort charge; the resort-charge page says “Walt Disney World theme parks” while the directions page lists six daily departures to EPCOT and the Magic Kingdom transportation center, so ask which parks are served. It is not on Disney’s Early Entry list.

  • Why stay: Two golf courses, a lazy river and a wave pool make it a resort first and a park base second.
  • Getting there / to the parks: About 27 miles from MCO’s main terminal, roughly 40 minutes without traffic, and about 12 miles to Disney by car or the reserved shuttle.
  • Good to know: The resort charge was $48 plus tax per night at the time of writing, with overnight self-parking at $38 ($33 for day parking) and valet at $50 on the directions page; the resort’s pages do not say whether tax is added to parking.

Best for: Golf-and-pool trips with a few park days, and groups who will split a town car. Read our Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate review.

Other hotels on the Mears Connect route

Mears Connect’s list also names the Walt Disney World Swan (pickup at the curb by the Convention Center entrance) and Swan Reserve (covered walkway to the bus pickup area), both compared with the Dolphin in our Swan vs Dolphin vs Swan Reserve guide, plus Shades of Green on Walt Disney World Resort, and four more Disney Springs Resort Area hotels: DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Orlando, Holiday Inn Orlando – Disney Springs Area, the Renaissance Orlando Resort & Spa and Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista. Every Disney-owned resort is served too, but those are booked with Disney, not on Booking.com. Mears warns that the departure pickup can differ from the drop-off spot, so confirm it with your hotel on the day. See our Disney Springs Resort Area hotels guide for the Hotel Plaza Boulevard lineup.

Popular hotels near Disney with no airport shuttle at all

At the time of writing, Caribe Royale Orlando said it provides no complimentary airport shuttle and pointed guests to metered taxis, Uber or Lyft; Marriott’s page for JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek (May 2026 copy) said it does not provide one; and Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek said it offers no airport transportation, quoting private town cars from about $110, SUVs and vans from about $160 and a $70 minimum for a Mears-operated taxi. All three have Disney park shuttles; none has a free airport ride, and the same goes for most of the hotels near Disney World with a free shuttle.

What the airport trip costs by party size (official fares only)

Your partyMears Standard, round tripMears Express, round tripTaxi, round trip (airport estimate)
1 adult$33.60$250$104-$136
2 adults$67.20$250$104-$136
2 adults, 2 children (3-9)$121.80$250$104-$136
4 adults$134.40$250$104-$136
4 adults, 2 children (3-9)$189.00$360$104-$136 (van cab)

Mears totals are its published round-trip fares multiplied by your party, before the 6% fuel surcharge; Express adds $55 for each rider beyond four, children included. The taxi column doubles the airport’s $52 to $68 one-way estimate for the Disney resorts area and excludes tip (the Omni quotes about $82 each way); rideshare has no published rate. For one to three travelers the shared shuttle wins on price; at four it is roughly a tie, and from five a single taxi usually costs less and skips the other hotels’ stops. The resort-quoted cars cost more: the Waldorf Astoria’s Skyline SUV for up to five is $135 each way.

How to choose a hotel with an airport shuttle near Disney

  • Count heads first. One to three travelers: a Mears Connect stop is the cheapest car-free option. Four or more: price a metered taxi too (up to nine riders on one fare); the resort-arranged cars at the Waldorf Astoria and Four Seasons cost more but go door to door.
  • Do the fee math. A $17.60 shuttle seat is cheap; a $36 to $50 nightly resort fee is not. Over a week, Drury’s no-fee policy can cover the whole family’s fares.
  • Check Early Theme Park Entry. The Dolphin, the Disney Springs Resort Area hotels, the Four Seasons and the Waldorf Astoria have it; Gaylord Palms, Orlando World Center Marriott and the Omni do not.
  • Time your flights. Mears collects you about 3 hours before a domestic departure, so an 8 a.m. flight means a 5 a.m. lobby call. Landing near midnight? A first night at the Hyatt Regency inside the terminal or an airport hotel with a free van, then Mears or a rideshare in the morning, can be calmer and cheaper.
  • Confirm before you fly. Hotel lists, pickup spots, fees and the fuel surcharge change, so check Mears Connect and the hotel’s page the week you travel. Our guide to getting around Orlando without a car covers the rest of the trip.

Frequently asked questions

Do any hotels near Disney World have a free airport shuttle?

Not among the hotels we checked. Disney Resort hotels stopped including airport transfers when Magical Express ended in January 2022, and the Disney Springs, Bonnet Creek and Lake Buena Vista hotels point guests to Mears Connect, taxis or rideshare. Free airport shuttles exist only at hotels within a few miles of the airport.

Which hotels near Disney does Mears Connect serve?

Besides every Disney-owned resort, Mears Connect’s official list names the Walt Disney World Dolphin, Swan and Swan Reserve, Shades of Green, Gaylord Palms, Orlando World Center Marriott and the Disney Springs Resort Area hotels: Drury Plaza, Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace, Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista, DoubleTree Suites, Holiday Inn Orlando – Disney Springs Area, Renaissance Orlando Resort & Spa, Wyndham Lake Buena Vista and Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista.

How much is Mears Connect from Orlando airport to a Disney-area hotel?

At the time of writing, Standard service cost $17.60 per adult and $14.30 per child aged 3 to 9 from the airport (including the privilege fee recovery charge), $16 and $13 back, or $33.60 and $27.30 round trip; children under 3 ride free. Express, a round trip with your hotel as the first stop, was $250 for up to four people and $55 per additional rider, plus a 6% fuel surcharge on all reservations.

Is airport transportation included at Disney Resort hotels?

No. Disney’s Help Center says airport transportation is not included with a Disney Resort hotel stay, and its complimentary buses, boats, monorail and Skyliner run only within Walt Disney World. Guests of Deluxe and Deluxe Villa resorts and Club Level rooms can book a paid Minnie Van airport transfer by phone (407-828-3500) from 60 days to 2 days ahead; Disney publishes no fare, so ask when you call.

Does the Sunshine Flyer still run to Disney World?

Not as a separate company. The Sunshine Flyer and Mears Connect announced a merger in July 2023, effective August 1, 2023, as reported at the time, and sunshineflyer.com now redirects to mearsconnect.com. Mears Connect operates the combined service around the clock from the airport’s main terminal and Terminal C, so check its current list of hotels served rather than old Sunshine Flyer pickup points.

What is the cheapest way from Orlando airport to a hotel near Disney for a family of four?

Using published fares, two adults and two children aged 3 to 9 pay $121.80 round trip on Mears Connect Standard before the 6% fuel surcharge (about $129 with it), while the airport’s taxi estimate works out to $104 to $136 round trip plus tip. For a family of four the two cost about the same, so choose on convenience: the taxi goes direct, while the shuttle makes other stops.

Bottom line

The honest answer to “hotels near Disney World with airport shuttle” is a short list of Mears Connect stops plus a few resorts that will book you a car. For the easiest car-free trip, the Walt Disney World Dolphin pairs the shuttle with Disney’s own buses and boats; for the fewest extras, the Drury Plaza adds free breakfast and charges no resort fee. Book both shuttle directions when you book the room.
