The best hotels on International Drive put restaurants, attractions and the I-RIDE Trolley outside your door, with Universal, Epic Universe and SeaWorld roughly 5 to 15 minutes away by car. The catch is that “I-Drive” is a long corridor, and the stretch you pick decides which parks are close and what you can reach on foot.
The north end, from the outlets to ICON Park, is the Universal and Epic Universe side. The central stretch around Pointe Orlando and the Orange County Convention Center has the big pool resorts. The south end, past SeaWorld toward Vineland, is closest to Disney World. Universal itself isn’t on I-Drive, so park days mean a shuttle, a rideshare or your own car.
Below are 11 hotels, ordered from north to south, with the resort fees, parking charges and park shuttles each one publishes. Still choosing an area? Start with our guide to the best areas to stay in Orlando.
Quick answer: On a tight budget, book Rosen Inn International: no resort fee, $10 parking and a free Universal and Epic Universe shuttle. Families should pick CoCo Key for a water park at the hotel, or Embassy Suites for a suite with free breakfast next to ICON Park. Couples will like the Castle Hotel. For a lazy river plus shuttles to both Universal and Disney, choose Hilton Orlando. Groups who need bedrooms and a kitchen should compare Floridays and Sheraton Vistana Villages on south I-Drive.
How we chose: We picked hotels on or just off International Drive in each of its three stretches and checked resort fees, parking, shuttles and pools on official hotel, Universal, SeaWorld, Convention Center and I-RIDE Trolley pages in September and October 2026. Where a hotel doesn’t publish a figure, or its sources disagree, we say so. We weighed location, walkability, the real nightly total and patterns in public traveler feedback. We don’t assign scores or claim stays.

1. CoCo Key Hotel and Water Resort

CoCo Key, at 7400 International Drive on the north end of I-Drive, is about a 0.8-mile walk from ICON Park. Its draw is a 54,000-square-foot outdoor water park, partly under a canopy, plus a 6,500-square-foot arcade and three restaurants. Our CoCo Key Orlando guide covers slides, height limits and room types.
- Why stay: The water park comes with your room: the resort fee covers water park passes (up to four per room, or up to eight in the two-room Family Standard), plus Wi-Fi, the pool and kids’ activities.
- Getting to the parks: As a Universal Partner Hotel, CoCo Key runs a scheduled shuttle, covered by the resort fee, to Universal and Epic Universe, reserved in person at the lobby Vacation Planning Center (7 to 11 a.m.) 24 hours ahead. One daily run goes to EPCOT at 9:50 a.m., returning at 5:45 p.m.
- Good to know: At the time of writing, the resort fee is $45 plus tax per day (waived on stays of seven nights or more), and self-parking is $15 plus tax. The water park is outdoors, so weather can close it.
Best for: Families with school-age kids doing Universal or Epic Universe who want pool days built into the trip.
2. Rosen Inn International

This budget Universal Partner Hotel at 7600 International Drive, just south of CoCo Key, has no resort fee, free Wi-Fi, two seasonally heated pools plus a kids’ pool, a playground and a 24-hour game room. Dogs are welcome in ground-floor rooms.
- Why stay: The lowest fixed costs on this list. There’s no resort fee, and parking is $10 per night, tax included, capped at $50 per car for the stay.
- Getting to the parks: At the time of writing, free shuttles leave four times each morning for the original Universal parks and Volcano Bay (7:45 to 11:15 a.m.) and four times for Epic Universe (7:15 to 11:30 a.m.), returning until 8:30 p.m. (9:20 p.m. from Epic). Book in person at the lobby Vacation Planning Center, from a day ahead. SeaWorld needs a transfer at Universal, and Disney is a paid third-party bus.
- Good to know: Breakfast isn’t included in standard rates, but the on-site buffet has Kids Eat Free (one meal per child 5 and under with each paying adult). Double-bed rooms sleep up to five.
Best for: Budget-minded families and Universal-first trips without a rental car.
3. Embassy Suites by Hilton Orlando International Drive ICON Park

This all-suite hotel at 8250 Jamaican Court, just off International Drive, sits next to ICON Park, about a 0.4-mile (9-minute) walk to its restaurants and rides. Hilton lists a free made-to-order breakfast, a complimentary evening reception and an indoor/outdoor pool.
- Why stay: A separate living area, and free breakfast plus the evening reception keep food costs down; ICON Park is close enough for dinner on foot.
- Getting to the parks: The hotel’s Booking.com description and its manager’s September 2026 announcement call the shuttle to Walt Disney World, Universal and Epic Universe free, but a Hilton page summary still says paid (October 2026), so confirm the cost or plan on a car or rideshare. Epic Universe’s parking is about 3.3 miles by road.
- Good to know: Hilton’s hotel page lists self-parking at $24.50 a day including tax (up from $18 plus tax in June 2026) and no resort fee at the time of writing, so check the full nightly total.

- Why stay: A design-forward hotel in the busiest part of I-Drive, with a heated courtyard pool and ICON Park’s restaurants within walking distance.

Our Avanti International Resort guide breaks down every room type.

- Why stay: No resort fee, Pointe Orlando’s restaurants on foot and a skybridge to the Convention Center for work trips.
- Getting to the parks: The free Universal shuttle is booked at the Concierge Desk 24 hours ahead. At the time of writing, it leaves once each morning for the original parks and Volcano Bay (8:15 a.m.) and once for Epic Universe (8:30 a.m.), with returns from 5 to 9:45 p.m. (6:30 to 10 p.m. from Epic).

As a SeaWorld Hotel Partner, it gets Priority Entry and park discounts, but SeaWorld’s shuttle perk is for its Official Hotels.
- Good to know: Hyatt has listed a $48 daily resort fee (subject to change), and a resort fee tracker showed $54 in late August 2026. Parking is extra, so check both in the booking breakdown.
Best for: Convention travelers bringing family, and Epic Universe plus SeaWorld trips in a full-service hotel.
8. Hilton Orlando
Hilton Orlando sits a block off International Drive at 6001 Destination Parkway, linked to the Convention Center’s South Concourse by a pedestrian bridge. Its pool area is the main draw: an 892-foot lazy river with free tubes, a zero-entry main pool that’s temperature-controlled year-round, a waterslide (48-inch minimum), a splash pad and an adults-only pool for guests 18 and over.
- Why stay: Full resort pools plus shuttles to both Universal and Disney, without moving hotels.

North, central or south I-Drive: how to choose
I-Drive is walkable within each stretch, not end to end: ICON Park is more than 5 miles from Floridays. Pick the stretch first, then the hotel.
| Stretch | Hotels in this guide | On foot | Universal / Epic by car | SeaWorld / EPCOT by car |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| North (outlets to ICON Park) | CoCo Key, Rosen Inn, Embassy Suites, Castle, Avanti | ICON Park, I-Drive restaurants | 7 to 10 min / about 6 min | 12 to 15 min / about 25 min |
| Central (Pointe Orlando, Convention Center) | Rosen Plaza, Hyatt Regency, Hilton | Pointe Orlando, Convention Center | About 10 min / 7 to 10 min | About 10 min / about 20 min |
| South (SeaWorld to Vineland) | DoubleTree, Sheraton Vistana Villages, Floridays | Vineland shops and outlets | 11 to 13 min / 10 to 14 min | 8 to 10 min / 17 to 19 min |
Drive times are our map estimates without traffic. Add time at rush hour, on I-4 and on big event days.
- Universal-heavy trip: Stay north. You’re closest to Universal and Epic Universe, and Rosen Inn International, CoCo Key and Avanti all run Universal shuttles.
- Universal plus SeaWorld: Stay central. Hilton Orlando and Hyatt Regency are SeaWorld Hotel Partners with Priority Entry, and both run Universal transportation.
- Disney plus SeaWorld: Stay south, closest to EPCOT and Disney Springs. If Disney is most of your trip, Lake Buena Vista or Disney property will save more time.
- Compare the real nightly total: Add the resort fee, parking and 12.5% tax to each rate. Rosen Inn International and Rosen Plaza charge no resort fee; our list of Orlando hotels with no resort fees has more.
- Read the shuttle rules: Most I-Drive park shuttles run at fixed times, need a reservation (often in person, a day ahead) and can fill up. Rosen Inn International’s and CoCo Key’s Universal shuttles aren’t valid for Early Park Admission, which Universal gives to vacation package guests (with valid park admission) up to one hour before regular opening.
- Epic Universe days: North and central I-Drive hotels are among the closest off-site stays; compare them with Universal’s own Epic hotels in our guide to hotels near Epic Universe.
Getting around without a car: the I-RIDE Trolley
The I-RIDE Trolley runs daily from 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the time of writing. The Red Line covers International Drive from Orlando International Premium Outlets in the north, past SeaWorld, to Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets in the south, about every 20 minutes. The Green Line serves Major, Universal and Westwood boulevards about every 45 minutes, with free transfers.
A single ride costs $2 ($1 for children 3 to 9 with a paying adult, free under 3, and 25 cents for seniors 65 and over), with exact change required. Unlimited-ride passes run from $8 for one day to $22 for 14 consecutive days and aren’t sold on board. Hilton Orlando and the DoubleTree include two trolley passes a day in their resort charges, and CoCo Key and Avanti (on direct bookings) also hand out passes at the time of writing.
The trolley is for getting around I-Drive: SeaWorld is on the Red Line, but for Universal, Epic Universe and Disney you’ll need a hotel shuttle, a rideshare or a car.

Frequently asked questions
Is International Drive walkable?
Within each stretch, yes. From hotels near ICON Park you can walk to its restaurants and attractions, and Rosen Plaza is across the street from Pointe Orlando, which Rosen says has more than 40 restaurants. Walking between stretches isn’t practical, so use the I-RIDE Trolley or a rideshare.
Which International Drive hotels have a free shuttle to Universal?
Rosen Inn International and Rosen Plaza run free Universal shuttles with no resort fee, including Epic Universe departures. Hilton Orlando and Hyatt Regency advertise complimentary Universal transportation, while CoCo Key, Avanti, the DoubleTree and Floridays cover theirs through the resort fee. Seats are limited and most need a reservation, so check current schedules.
How far is International Drive from Disney World?
By our map estimates without traffic, EPCOT is about 17 to 19 minutes from south I-Drive hotels such as Floridays, about 20 minutes from the Convention Center area and about 25 minutes from north I-Drive. Magic Kingdom takes longer, since you park at the Transportation and Ticket Center and ride the monorail or ferry. Hilton Orlando (Magic Kingdom and EPCOT), Floridays and Avanti run scheduled Disney shuttles, and CoCo Key has one daily EPCOT run.
Which hotels on International Drive have no resort fee?
In this guide, Rosen Inn International and Rosen Plaza charge no resort fee, and Marriott says Sheraton Vistana Villages doesn’t either. Embassy Suites and the Castle Hotel listed none on their brand pages when we checked, but confirm at booking. Parking is still extra at the Rosen hotels ($10 a night at Rosen Inn International and $29 plus tax at Rosen Plaza, at the time of writing). Among the hotels that charge one, resort fees run from $18 (Avanti) to roughly $48 to $54 (Hyatt Regency) a night before tax.
